1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who are responsible for the bear run on: December 12, 2022, 08:23:03 PM
I don't think LUNA broke everything. Do you think that if LUNA hadn't crashed, the market would have behaved differently and there would have been growth instead of decline? That's a big misconception. In 2023 even without the Terra and FTX crash everything would be bad, because the fundamentals for growth did not and still do not exist. Money is flowing out of the industry because economic instability, rising interest rates, rising unemployment, etc. are raging around the world. If Terra hadn't collapsed, something else would have happened, but a bear market under the kind of economic conditions that occurred in 2023 was inevitable.
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What trends will be in the new bull run? on: December 12, 2022, 08:14:52 PM
Sooner or later the bearish trend will end. What trends will be in the new bull run? In one of the many articles on the topic of future trends I saw this interesting list.

Quote
Institutional blockchains
Social tokens
Real Yield
Gaming
Layer 2s
Layer 0
Options protocols

As you can see, this list does not include trends from the past bullrun (except gaming), such as nft and metaverse. Are we in for a whole new hype or will the old trends also give themselves away?

Your thoughts.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Scam History in the Cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 10:06:09 PM
When no one could estimate the actual amount involved in every scam of altcoin space, I guess we could never get any clear list on these. I mean since the beginning of ICO kind of crowd funding in altcoin industry, we have been watching lots of projects scamming investors for various reasons. I agree there were projects which got failed for unexpected reasons but there were 90% of projects which were here only to scam and in that case we cannot estimate the actual money involved.

Here the point is not about being huge or small; we need to stay safer in crypto investments and due to this reason I have decided not to risk money in any new projects which on the other side led to miss good opportunities, still I am happy with my bitcoin investments.

Is it possible to classify as a crypto scam those projects that were originally created for the purpose of enriching their creators? Even if they do not cheat anyone and do not run away with the money raised through investors and other open machinations, but still, they have a plan to put their product on exchanges and then sell their coins to hamsters at high prices. There are a lot of such projects, and if you classify such projects as scam, then it turns out that almost all altcoin market is one big scam that you have to stay away from.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 09:16:58 PM
If you have the habit of panicking or short patience, Investing and trading is not for you. I believe that regularly monitoring the price change isn't wrong if you are an investor or trader. It would depend on how you manage yourself on the outcome of your monitoring. A good investor always have a good plan on their mind before putting up money on their investment, Monitoring it is a good thing in my opinion knowing that you can track what is happening to your investment and if it is going according to your plans. Panicking on a small price changes are just a newbie reaction especially we are on crypto where most of the tokens are volatile. When dips happen, True investors accumulate more and position themselves in a state where they can possibly get a profit long term.

Good investors are not born, good investors become. If you lack patience, you should start to develop it with different practices, but this does not mean that now the way to investing and trading is closed for such a person. Many habits and skills are developed over time and I strongly doubt that a person who wants to get into trading or investing needs to have the right set of skills and habits at once. There are barely 10 people out of every 1,000 newbies who already have these skills. The rest will have to develop them. So I don't agree that if I'm not good at controlling my patience right now, then investing is definitely not for me.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why The Goverment try to centralize Crypto Be CDBC? on: December 11, 2022, 08:40:33 PM
We all know how goverment can't move on from fiat and create it as camouflage crypto called CDBC, they try to make competition because crypto has grow up everyday. And in fact some country was implemented the real crypto, bitcoin as currency and can be as payment.

The government try to centralize crypto and want to control it. So be carefull CDBC is not crypto, but camouflage the new fiat.

That's just the way it is. CBDC is an attempt by central banks and governments to occupy their niche in the crypto space. In doing so, they solve the problem they have with real cryptocurrency, their pseudo-cryptocurrency can now be controlled, blocked, etc. Handy tool in the digital world, the only thing left is to convince all crypto users that CBDC is the real digital currency with the state as a guarantor, but those who understand will not buy into these tricks and will ignore these centralized state shitcoins.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: USDT is the next token to crash / Tether fraud exposed on: December 11, 2022, 08:08:33 PM
If USDT collapses, We will experience a major devastative dump again just like we have on Luna and FTX. There are still many people who are using USDT and majority of them are newbies who just entered crypto scene last bull market. Tether has many issues before but one biggest issue of them is not having a 1:1 pegged with USDT which is a big hole for the company given that their project is a stable coin. We've seen Terra stable coin before that is depegged because of the flaw in their pegging mechanism. This can happen to USDT too this is why I don't hold USDT.

It is not quite correct to compare USDT and UST, since they are two different asset classes. Tether is a centralized stablecoin backed by dollars and securities, while UST was an algorithmic stablecoin that used the LUNA peg as collateral. If Tether were to crash, the consequences would be even worse than the FTX crash, since most exchange trades are linked to Tether, if USDT crashes, bitcoin could easily drop below $10,000.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decoin SCAM on: December 11, 2022, 08:03:00 PM
If we are talking about this Decoin, reports of the scam began a month ago, in November. Then users reported problems with withdrawal of funds and complete ignoring of emails. I tried to go to the project site itself, there hangs an error 503. It is possible that the team made a trivial exit scam.
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whales.bet -Decentralized Bitcoin Prediction Market running on Bitcoin sidechain on: December 10, 2022, 10:01:08 PM
It says here on the forum and on your website that you are a "trustless blockchain-based web application". Is this a mistake or is your application really trustless? That is, your application cannot be trusted? How can you use an application that cannot be trusted?

1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 10, 2022, 09:38:00 PM
In my opinion, you should consider trading as your main job only if you are very experienced and have a good balance, as well as additional funds as insurance in case of major market drawdowns or losses in trading. Any collapse in the market and a trader can turn into an ordinary unemployed person who is left without means of livelihood. If someone wants to be engaged in trading and live at the expense of income from trading, he should take care of an additional source of income in case of market force majeure.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: December 10, 2022, 09:00:28 PM
Will decentralised exchanges get more attention now that FTX secrets is all out? Will people now trust decentralised exchanges more than centralised exchanges? Cos the only thing still standing tall right now is Binance, I believe this is the only CEX people still give full face 😂  but it seems like Uniswap and Pancake will take the lead in near future?

I'm not sure if DEX will ever completely replace CEX. I even admit that DEXs will also become regulated and collect user data. Now DEX is very far from the convenience that the user gets when working with centralized exchanges. He doesn't have to worry about those networks, wallets, bridges, slippage and other risks that come with using DEXs.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: airdrops campaign on gleam and other platforms. on: December 10, 2022, 08:19:09 PM
This problem is solved by clearing your social networks of unnecessary subscriptions. It's very simple. I always do this when some airdrop or giveaway ends. What's the point of cluttering up your social networks with all those subscriptions you made just to participate in the next giveaway. Over the years of participating in various giveaways, my social networks could have been cluttered many times over if I hadn't taken care of constantly cleaning out unnecessary subscriptions, channels, etc.
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does the bitcoin community currently trust Tether? on: December 10, 2022, 07:43:30 PM
Your trust in a cryptocurrency is not solely indicative or related to how much coin you hold with them, but rather your overall comfortability and blessing given to an entity to decide present and  future factors in your life.

What kind of trust can we talk about when we're talking about a completely centralized asset that can lock up your funds at any time? You can't trust USDT 100%, and if you hold this asset, you have to assume all the risks associated with a centralized stablecoin. People, when they use USDT, do not think about trust, but rather about comfort, because this asset is widely available on the market and has good liquidity.
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Scam History in the Cryptocurrency on: December 10, 2022, 07:38:01 PM
What is definitely missing is PlusToken, which had a big impact on the crypto industry in its time. The amount of damage was in the neighborhood of $3 billion, which by 2019 standards was a significant amount for the crypto industry. Fraudsters have 1% of all bitcoins at their disposal and are ways to crash the market in a very serious way.
1934  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk forum vs OpenAI - ChatGPT on: December 10, 2022, 04:05:47 PM
Now the big question is, is it against the forum rules if you post AI's response as your own. It is not ethical but who is going to prove that is a plagiarized text since the AI can produce perfectly unique articles?

Even if we introduce such a rule on the forum, who will check whether the text belongs to a person or an AI? Where to find that line between text written by a human and text written by a machine? If you know such an algorithm, please share it. I, for one, have no idea how to do it. And also, can you imagine how many topics will be created in Meta about the complaints against the moderators, that they deleted someone's post, because they thought that this post was written by an AI Smiley
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ABAS] ABAS Token: PoW mined Bitcoin with Staking on Arbitrum One Chain on: December 10, 2022, 03:31:38 PM
Probably has something fishy embedded in the mining program.

You can download and check this file for viruses on the same service VirusTotal. Who's stopping you? I downloaded and checked, there are no viruses in this file. Only one engine unknown to me shows that this file is "unsafe". Maybe there is some malware in the file that VirusTotal cannot detect, I don't know. There have already been such cases on this forum. That's why I don't encourage anyone to use this application. As they say, DYOR.
1936  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Difference between cloud mining and hosted mining? on: December 09, 2022, 06:49:27 PM
That's why I want to hear from this fellow, how long he has been in this cloud mining and how much money he has invested there. He writes about the alleged "financial independence" that this service gave him Smiley If this is the site I mentioned, there is a profit calculator and you can check how much you can get from a certain amount. Well, of course, I also checked the age of the domain. I'm very interested in what his response is.
1937  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Difference between cloud mining and hosted mining? on: December 09, 2022, 06:32:00 PM
Now I discovered Bit3 for myself and only there I earn. This platform gave me financial independence, I recommend it.

How long have you been earning in this cloud mining? And how much, if not a secret, of course, have you invested in this cloud mining? I ask this because in my many years in cryptocurrency, I have never met a service that didn't turn into a scam within a few months.

P.S. Is this service in question - bit3-mining.com (not advertising)?

Ссылка на источник где?

Вы издеваетесь? Я спрашиваю где ссылка на источник текста, который вы разместили копипастом? Вместо этого вы суёте рефку, да ещё и скрытую.

1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Coin losing its Value, What will happen to Public Funds on: December 06, 2022, 11:12:59 PM
1) BNB kept losing its value

It's a bear market, all assets are losing their value right now.

2) Till How much value (you think) that BNB can sustain

If the decline continues to follow bitcoin's decline, BNB's strong support is at $200 - $215.

3) What will happen to public funds, will there be liquidity issue if BNB falls to a certain level

If we're talking about venture capital funds, they were buying at such prices that even a drop to $50 wouldn't bankrupt them anyway.

4) What will be your way to save yourself if anything goes bad...

Either way, I'm not going to sell at a loss if anything goes bad. HODL and waiting for the bullrun.
