1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's behind Donald Trump's issuing NFTs ? on: December 17, 2022, 09:44:31 PM
Former U.S President Donald Trump has recently issued his own NFTs called Trump Digital Trading Cards. The purchasing perks are abundant such as a dinner with Trump, access to his community, golfing with Trump, Zoom calls etc. It looks as normal as other celebrity's NFT issuance but also seems more than that. Personally I think it is also political and deeply related to his political campaign. The majority of potential buyers must be his political supporters and fans. This NFT thing may be another digital means to connect him with his vast fanbase. What is your opinion on this and why ?

Donald Trump, when he was president, tweeted that cryptocurrencies were dangerous and their pricing was taken out of thin air. Two years have passed and now the former cryptocurrency critic is issuing cryptocurrencies himself. What is this, hypocrisy, double standards or an epiphany? I'm sure if he becomes president again, he will again write the same mantras about bitcoin being a scam and cryptocurrencies being a bubble.
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your alt bags on: December 17, 2022, 09:05:48 PM
The year 2022 is somewhat reminiscent of 2019. Back then, too, there were crazy sales and altcoin prices tumbled. Who sold, lost a lot, who didn't sell, earned a lot. Sell now? What's the point? You're giving your coins away for next to nothing, I personally didn't buy them to give them to the whales for pennies, that's not the right investment plan. If any coins in my portfolio collapse and are even cheaper, I will continue to buy them as much as possible.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Crypto to buy for 2024 ? on: December 17, 2022, 08:52:19 PM
1- ETH---10X Shocked
Maybe. ETH could rise to $10,000 in the next bullrun, just as long as it's still popular with crypto users and investors, though its move to PoS could prevent that from happening.

Quote
2- ADA---20X Shocked
Probably.

Quote
3- MATIC---10X Shocked
Polygon could very seriously grow into the next bullrun if many projects start favoring this network over ETH.

Quote
4-SHIBA--100X Shocked
You can forget it, there will be no 100x in 2024 or 2027.

Quote
5-NEAR---50X Shocked
Expectations are too high for a project with a capitalization of 1 billion. Ask yourself what the project suddenly needs to raise 55 billion in capitalization to grow to 50 times its current price? Dreams.

Quote
6-DOT--20X Shocked

DOT at $50 is still more or less realistic, DOT at $100 is unrealistic in 2024.
1904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 17, 2022, 08:43:53 PM
If you decide to sell your altcoins, also consider the possible risks and costs associated with such transactions, including exchange fees, currency conversion fees, and potential loss of value due to price volatility. Before making an investment decision, it is best to consult a registered broker or financial advisor or seek advice from someone who has sufficient knowledge and experience in this area.

Right now it seems like an extremely bad idea to sell anything. What is the point of selling when all prices are at the bottom? You should sell when all prices are high. Investing in cryptocurrencies implies, among other things, that you have to survive the crypto winter and wait for the market to dawn. If you should have sold, it should have been at the beginning of this year, not at the end of it. The most profitable strategy here is just HODL. This is just my opinion.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LiteLebanonCoin on: December 17, 2022, 08:16:18 PM
Is there anywhere I can read detailed information about your cryptocurrency? What opinion do you want to hear if you have not provided any data about your cryptocurrency. What can say without knowing what to talk about? Could you provide details about your cryptocurrency?
1906  Economy / Economics / Re: A breakthrough in thermonuclear fusion technology! End of the era of hydrocarbon on: December 16, 2022, 08:54:49 PM
Your opinion ? Forecasts? Are we witnessing an unexpected end to the era of hydrocarbon fuels? Should all oil / coal / gas producing countries prepare for a "new poor life"?

My opinion is that it will be more than one year, maybe even a decade(s), before nuclear fusion becomes more or less usable in everyday life. And we should not hope that all the oil and gas tycoons will just give up in this struggle. The only thing I can say is that I am sure that someday we will use the clean energy of nuclear fusion for our own purposes.

1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: US is targeting Binance on: December 13, 2022, 08:11:31 PM
Binance has now been hit with a big batch of FUD. A huge amount of various speculations and manipulations of opinion are concentrated around this exchange now. There is also the shenanigans of competitors, which can also provoke users to take certain actions. In any case, it is very dangerous to keep your money on any of the centralized exchanges, especially in these unstable times. Use your non-custodial wallets, not exchanges.
1909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can DeFi still be trusted?? on: December 13, 2022, 07:30:20 PM
DEXs have so many limitations which make them look inferior to their centralized counterparts. Why would people use something that's slow, has low liquidity, and requires some level of technical knowledge (especially keeping self-custody of your coins)? We can't think about DEXs replacing CEXs if such limitations exist. While developers have been improving DEXs over time, they still have a load road ahead before they become mature for mainstream use.

At least, we're not tied to a single option. We have many alternatives to choose from, so it's likely crypto will move on from the FTX collapse and emerge bigger and stronger than ever. Who knows what the future holds for crypto/Blockchain tech? Just my thoughts Cheesy

DEX has never been a full-fledged replacement for CEX. DEXs risk becoming fully regulated in the future. If we look at Uniswap and their EIP-1153, these fears are not unfounded. Read the post on Twitter at https://twitter.com/adamscochran/status/1602087890686775296. It says that Uniswap may launch some KYC in its next iteration, its fourth. If that happens, it will completely overturn all the usual ideas about DEX.
1910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: December 13, 2022, 07:04:05 PM
300$? Why not? It is not such a difficult target for BNB, only 15-20% of the current price. But how quickly BNB can reach this mark, we need to look at two factors:

1. it is a reversal of the crypto market, the end of the bearish global trend.
2. Binance will not have any serious problems with regulators and confirmation of its reserves.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 13, 2022, 06:50:06 PM
Cryptos have had many crazes all over the years. First, it was Bitcoin appearance.
right after that, there were the altcoins and soon after the ICOs, IPOs and all the O's thingy craze. Afterwards the PoS and stacking craze came to play and then smart contracts came around then the DAO Blow. Then the Cexes, the Dexes and right after that, we saw NFTs rise along with the metaverse. (I'm probably missing something). Now we just had the Merge.
Many of these phases have helped the crypto market achieve new highs and led the blockchain technology to go mainstream.
A lot of developments have been a part of the industry growth, so my question here is, what do you guys think will be the next craze in the industry?

Good question. I think the gaming direction, as well as social projects, will have more of an impact on cryptocurrency in the future. Right now we are seeing a lot of different integrations and business models related to these directions. In 2021, these directions have already been tested, but in my opinion they have not fully unfolded, so in the future it will all get a new wave of adoption and spread.
1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC is not safe on: December 12, 2022, 10:40:33 PM
Even though USDC is trying to show that its tokens have better security than USDT, but in fact, it is the same centralized stablecoin as Tether, and it is also subject to regulators. What kind of security and reliability can we talk about here? If you want better security and reliability than USDC and USDT, use DAI or stablecoins with similar security.
1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about filecoin? on: December 12, 2022, 09:47:40 PM
Filecoin has made all rich those who once invested in it on coinlist, it is one of the gems of 2021. The project does not look dead, even though it lost most of its value, but it still has an impressive capitalization and is now worth even below the price of ico. It's a good option to buy if you want to make 5-10x on this coin. Of course, this is not investment advice, DYOR. I bought some Filecoin, hopefully in a few years the price will be trading at $50-100 again.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT ?? What do you think about it ? ? ? on: December 12, 2022, 09:02:48 PM
At this point, the NFT industry is dead. It is worth recognizing, the volume of trading has fallen to the most catastrophic levels. Two marketplace, which still somehow maintain activity, this MagicEden and OpenSea, but even there, the trading volume is much lower even than the first half of this year. Now to buy something on the NFT marketplace... it would be like a lottery. Of course the NFT blue chips are still valuable and will continue to be so, but everything else has just turned to ash. The NFT industry is in such severe decline that collections go into the minus immediately after minting. I don't know if NFT will revive in the next bullrun, but at the moment things are very bad and not promising in terms of investment.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Helena.Financial | Auto-Compounding DeFi 3.0 Protocol | 501,652% APY on: December 12, 2022, 08:38:06 PM

There is an unpleasant phrase on your coin page at CoinGecko: "Project is charging excessively high buy and sell tax, please DYOR before proceeding." How can you comment on this statement? If it is true that your commission is too high, are you going to do something about it?
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who are responsible for the bear run on: December 12, 2022, 08:23:03 PM
I don't think LUNA broke everything. Do you think that if LUNA hadn't crashed, the market would have behaved differently and there would have been growth instead of decline? That's a big misconception. In 2023 even without the Terra and FTX crash everything would be bad, because the fundamentals for growth did not and still do not exist. Money is flowing out of the industry because economic instability, rising interest rates, rising unemployment, etc. are raging around the world. If Terra hadn't collapsed, something else would have happened, but a bear market under the kind of economic conditions that occurred in 2023 was inevitable.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What trends will be in the new bull run? on: December 12, 2022, 08:14:52 PM
Sooner or later the bearish trend will end. What trends will be in the new bull run? In one of the many articles on the topic of future trends I saw this interesting list.

Quote
Institutional blockchains
Social tokens
Real Yield
Gaming
Layer 2s
Layer 0
Options protocols

As you can see, this list does not include trends from the past bullrun (except gaming), such as nft and metaverse. Are we in for a whole new hype or will the old trends also give themselves away?

Your thoughts.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Scam History in the Cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 10:06:09 PM
When no one could estimate the actual amount involved in every scam of altcoin space, I guess we could never get any clear list on these. I mean since the beginning of ICO kind of crowd funding in altcoin industry, we have been watching lots of projects scamming investors for various reasons. I agree there were projects which got failed for unexpected reasons but there were 90% of projects which were here only to scam and in that case we cannot estimate the actual money involved.

Here the point is not about being huge or small; we need to stay safer in crypto investments and due to this reason I have decided not to risk money in any new projects which on the other side led to miss good opportunities, still I am happy with my bitcoin investments.

Is it possible to classify as a crypto scam those projects that were originally created for the purpose of enriching their creators? Even if they do not cheat anyone and do not run away with the money raised through investors and other open machinations, but still, they have a plan to put their product on exchanges and then sell their coins to hamsters at high prices. There are a lot of such projects, and if you classify such projects as scam, then it turns out that almost all altcoin market is one big scam that you have to stay away from.
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 09:16:58 PM
If you have the habit of panicking or short patience, Investing and trading is not for you. I believe that regularly monitoring the price change isn't wrong if you are an investor or trader. It would depend on how you manage yourself on the outcome of your monitoring. A good investor always have a good plan on their mind before putting up money on their investment, Monitoring it is a good thing in my opinion knowing that you can track what is happening to your investment and if it is going according to your plans. Panicking on a small price changes are just a newbie reaction especially we are on crypto where most of the tokens are volatile. When dips happen, True investors accumulate more and position themselves in a state where they can possibly get a profit long term.

Good investors are not born, good investors become. If you lack patience, you should start to develop it with different practices, but this does not mean that now the way to investing and trading is closed for such a person. Many habits and skills are developed over time and I strongly doubt that a person who wants to get into trading or investing needs to have the right set of skills and habits at once. There are barely 10 people out of every 1,000 newbies who already have these skills. The rest will have to develop them. So I don't agree that if I'm not good at controlling my patience right now, then investing is definitely not for me.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why The Goverment try to centralize Crypto Be CDBC? on: December 11, 2022, 08:40:33 PM
We all know how goverment can't move on from fiat and create it as camouflage crypto called CDBC, they try to make competition because crypto has grow up everyday. And in fact some country was implemented the real crypto, bitcoin as currency and can be as payment.

The government try to centralize crypto and want to control it. So be carefull CDBC is not crypto, but camouflage the new fiat.

That's just the way it is. CBDC is an attempt by central banks and governments to occupy their niche in the crypto space. In doing so, they solve the problem they have with real cryptocurrency, their pseudo-cryptocurrency can now be controlled, blocked, etc. Handy tool in the digital world, the only thing left is to convince all crypto users that CBDC is the real digital currency with the state as a guarantor, but those who understand will not buy into these tricks and will ignore these centralized state shitcoins.
