1861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: December 26, 2022, 08:44:00 PM
If we aim for earning a profit, we better stay away from new projects but instead, go buy Bitcoin and potential altcoins then we are safe.

New projects are not a sentence, new projects are opportunities and prospects. You just need to study them in more detail. For some reason I often see calls in the community that it is better to stay away from new projects and buy proven coins. Which ones? For example LUNA and FTT, which were also once tried and trustworthy, but now have become garbage. I agree that new projects scam much more often than established and proven ones. But when it comes to quick and big profits, let's be honest, without investing in new projects you can never get rich with a small deposit.
1862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be very careful with alts on: December 26, 2022, 08:38:01 PM
True. However, the market as a whole has recently decayed. Projects only come to raise funds and then leave. They don't actually give a shit about investors. On the other hand, delivering product does not always help. Because I've seen a few projects deliver the product they promised, but investors don't care; they sell tokens and move on. Some investors even sell their tokens at a loss. How will you keep them at bay? Today's investors' mindset has shifted. They believe in quick profits and sell tokens. As a result, even good projects crash immediately after launch on decentralized exchanges, rendering them unrecoverable. As a result, the intentions of investors and projects have changed. Everyone only considers quick money.

This is because the investors themselves are absolutely not interested in the product itself. The main reason for their participation is banal speculation and nothing else. This is the reason why various game projects, metaverses, social and other projects have difficulties and their tokens quickly depreciate. Investors are not interested in their product, they come there only to withdraw liquidity and then start looking for a new young project that can give a good profit.
1863  Other / Meta / Re: Censorship on Bitcointalk. My topic was removed! on: December 26, 2022, 03:26:26 PM
Hello,

I posted a thread yesterday soliciting feedback regarding a Bitcoin banking project. I first posted it on Development and it was deleted. I made a separate post asking why, and I was directed to repost the thread in Meta.

I did that, but it got deleted again.

Even though I can't find the  forum rule I'm violating, it's clear to me that I'm doing something wrong in this community. Not the first impression I wanted to make.

I'm looking for feedback and a discussion regarding the theoretical structure of a project I believe is worth advancing. If anyone could direct me to the appropriate person to ask permission, or the right place to repost my original thread, I'd sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you!

BB

First, you didn't understand the answers in the thread with your question about why your thread was deleted. You should have moved the topic with the question to the Meta section, not placed a topic describing your development.
Secondly, in my opinion, the moderator probably regarded your topic as begging, which is forbidden on the forum. Because you have specified at the end of your topic the address for donations.

There are at least two similar threads about LibertyTown on the forum right now. Aside from the fact that the thread was in the wrong place, I think it was the moderator who deleted your thread because there are already similar threads. That's my opinion. The true reason can only be told to you by the moderator who deleted your topic.

The topics I was talking about

1866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL] Will BNB crash? Will Binance go bankrupt? on: December 25, 2022, 11:23:29 PM
I voted for the first option. Maybe it's a bit of wishful thinking, but at the moment I don't see any big indication that Binance is in trouble. It is normal that after recent events in the crypto world, fears and suspicion among exchange users have increased significantly. Maybe in the long run it will have positive effects, because keeping funds on exchanges and other services will always be risky. Returning to Binance, they react calmly to all recent allegations and, in my opinion, respond rationally. I do not rule out that attacks on Binance from various sides will continue and this may have a negative impact on the value of BNB, but I hope that the exchange will survive without major problems. I believe that the collapse or insolvency of Binance would be an incomparably greater blow to the cryptocurrency world than the case with FTX and would slow down the development of this market by several years.

Binance has been hit by so many FUDs lately that any fear is already perceived as the beginning of collapse, although in fact it could be quite different. All this talk about the collapse of BNB and the bankruptcy of Binance may be just speculation to get people to sell BNB as much as possible, thereby lowering its price short-term so that large holders can buy the asset at an undervalued price.
1867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: December 25, 2022, 09:53:11 PM
What's the problem with buying altcoins that were in the TOP and then stopped being in them? Just because they come out of TOP-10, TOP-25, etc., it doesn't mean they won't be profitable anymore. The TOP of altcoins changes every year, it's normal, because the industry is constantly evolving, new projects appear, the competition is growing. The most important thing is that the support of the project by miners and developers does not stop.
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Robo Inu? on: December 25, 2022, 09:05:36 PM
I have never heard of this Robo Inu before, every day a meme coin appears claiming to be the next Shiba Inu or the killer of Shiba Inu and Dogecoin and after that, it will continue for some time and eventually find that it is a bubble that appeared and ended and this is due to the lack of attraction of investors and the lack of support from influencers, celebrities, and businessmen for this coin, with the current bear market conditions, I do not think that the Robo Inu that you mentioned can explode, and even if it has a wallet and DEX, it is a meme coin that has a huge total supply and is considered a new currency, so it has years ahead in order to be a good competition for the Shiba Inu and create a fan base for its community and to be listed in thousands of exchange platforms.

There are actually thousands of meme coins and most of them will never make it beyond a single trading pair on some DEX. Crypto market is not regulated enough yet, so any anonymous person tries to launch his own coin hoping to snap a jackpot. Any meme coin is, first and foremost, a project created to enrich its creator, which has nothing in it but speculation. They didn't appear that often before, but the story around SHIB has launched an unprecedented hype.
1869  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone still survive? on: December 25, 2022, 08:24:18 PM
A bearish year always tends to reduce prices, capitalization, people and interest. Then everything starts all over again. It's no secret that interest in cryptocurrency is at a minimal level right now, everyone is afraid to invest, to start something. Investors are waiting for the beginning of the bull market, developers are in no hurry to launch their projects as well. As soon as the market starts to recover, the interest and the number of people on various resources, including our forum, will noticeably grow.
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can CEX's prove their solvency? on: December 25, 2022, 08:07:43 PM
Nobody can say or give a guarantee that the funds will not be shifted in the future. To avoid such uncertainties, it is better to have your funds stored in your own personal wallet than in a centralized exchange where you are not sure what could happen in the future.
Even while some of the exchanges are going the extra mile to have their proof of reserve known to the public, it is not enough guarantee to offset investors' fears.

I agree, you should not keep anything on exchanges, no matter how secure and trustworthy they may be. A centralized exchange is a time bomb and no one knows which particular exchange and when it will explode, along with your money.
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 25, 2022, 08:01:50 PM
If something is available for free, it's hard to expect it to be of great value. Yes, there have been very profitable airdrops in history, such as UNI, but these are very rare cases. Faucets actually seem like a waste of time these days. Bounty campaigns on this forum can still be profitable, provided you have a high rank and/or create valuable content. Nowadays, it seems to be a good idea to participate in testnets or bug bounty. However, this sometimes requires more knowledge and commitment.

This is a rather controversial statement, given that so many projects were launched under the free distribution model. I can refute your point with a recent example, the Aptos project. You had to do a simple registration and minting one NFT on a test network. In the end, whoever did it got 150 tokens that sold for $8-12. This is not an exception to the rule, there are a lot of different projects which give away valuable tokens for free, but there are even more projects which give away different garbage, so people have an impression that everything free is worthless. In fact, you just need to do your research properly.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 24, 2022, 10:31:59 PM
Every day there are a lot of different drops, draws and tasks that can give you some free cryptocurrency. For example, on DropsEarn site such events take place every day. Participate and choose the most interesting drops. Do not try to search for free cryptocurrency in bounty section on forum, it's all useless and just waste your time. Generally, collecting free cryptocurrency is relevant during the bull run. Now is the crypto winter and you are unlikely to find something with generous payouts.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be very careful with alts on: December 24, 2022, 09:52:32 PM
There is a saying, tokens are generated out of thin air. This suits with thes kind of scam projects that mainly focus on the scamming the investors and run away. In recent years this have increased much, as cryptocurrency is well talked freely. The same is used as an opportunity by scammers to make money out of the common people with false statements. This can be overcome only through proper learning about cryptocurrencies and the market.

Scammers do not slack, and every year they create more and more scam tokens with big promises. If a project is traded on some pancakeswap, that's a reason to think to pass by that token. Usually such tokens have extremely scarce capitalization and trading volume, and their creators are anonymous and do not disclose their identity. Such a project is 99% scam.
1874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana’s position in the space. on: December 24, 2022, 09:29:31 PM
Solana took a pretty big hit since the market has been down.

Are people confusing the quality of a product with the shop that’s vending it?

NFT’s fell off as BTC and ETH dropped from their 2021 ATH’s.
FTX event saw massive forced selling from at both the institutional and retail investor level.
Solana has seen a few hour long outages, (one being caused by a single node apparently?).
-snip-

Solana is still in demand among NFT owners, as their native marketplace Magic Eden now has the second highest trading volume of all NFT marketplaces. Frankly, Solana had big problems even before the FTX crash, in the form of blockchain stoppages. Solana is still in beta stage, as far as I remember. With current situation there is a big chance that Solana will not die completely but will share the fate of projects like EOS, which also had pretensions for some development and competition and in the end those plans were not destined to happen. As a consequence, it never again reached the price peaks that it had before.
1875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is how altcoins performed in 2022 on: December 24, 2022, 08:42:36 PM
It will be a big disappointment if the crypto market makes next year as bearish as 2022. Two bearish years in a row. I don't think this has ever happened before. 2021 was extremely saturated and overbought, 2022 washed all the crypto tourists out of the ocean called the market. What was left was the most convinced and the strongest.
1876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your alt bags on: December 24, 2022, 07:48:52 PM
I also believe that new coins would boom in the coming year because there are already lots of potential projects existing. It's just that we're still in midst of the bearish season so most of them are in the survival period but we'll see how they reasist the bear market. There are promises made by some altcoins but we should be smart enough to believe what's true from scamming strategy. It's the best time to fill our bags with good altcoins and hold them until we rich the bullish trend. Profitable days come to those who wait.

It is unlikely that the boom you are expecting will happen next year. The industry is not recovering as fast as we would like it to. It's much slower. I am inclined to believe that next year will be a recovery of projects, strengthening their capitalization. For a boom in projects to happen, there needs to be a lot of community interest and the presence of liquidity. The year 2023 will be cleaning up the aftermath of a harsh crypto winter, so don't expect some kind of bull run and project boom to happen in 2023. It's too soon.
1877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can CEX's prove their solvency? on: December 24, 2022, 07:40:58 PM
What I dont uderstands is, how can we know which tests will demonstrate the solvency of a centralized crypto exchange? Who is to say that funds cannot be shifted at any time, like SBF did from FTX to Alameda?

I don't particularly trust these confirmations of reserves from various exchanges, just as I don't trust their trading volumes. All these figures may be greatly exaggerated and created only to reassure clients. Every week I see another news that some other exchange has confirmed its reserves. Who confirmed these reserves? The exchange itself? What was the methodology of this audit? Who confirmed it? Or did the exchange verify its own solvency? There are too many questions to these confirmations of reserves.
