3101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoins dropped to $9.50, would you sell everything? on: March 17, 2021, 02:03:15 PM
~
2011 topic, huh.
I had bad thoughts in Bitcoin that year, not from its price but from its utilization of people from the dark web.
If I could've bought few Bitcoins that year, I might be a millionaire at the least right now. It kinda sucks that I let that mindset.
3102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders - Learn from my mistakes on: March 17, 2021, 06:19:53 AM
~
Harsh reality there, mate.
To backup what you just said.
Everyone doesn't need to be a trader.
Everyone doesn't need to be one of the 1%.
As long as you earn something out of cryptos like long-term hodling, that's fine.
There's even chances that hodlers would be one day millionaires. Imagine if you were someone that hodl more than 50BTC back in 2011, dreaming to be a millionaire, where would you be right now?
3103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 17, 2021, 06:17:14 AM
~
I wonder if some reputated news articles tend to fake out a news just because they're paid to publish certain false info.
I guess I should do that also as you mentioned which is more than one source.
From my previous replies here, I tend to go general headlines in Google on how's Bitcoin doing lately. I am not into article site-specific one.
Because some just reiterate others news anyway.
3104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good plan for learning tradning ? on: March 17, 2021, 06:14:35 AM
I tend to agree with you both, searching and learning aren't enough in trading, you need to have experience in the field and learn more strategies.  As they say, the experience is the best teacher in trading, and the more experienced you had the high chances to avoid losses.

I saw the article that given by the OP, it's just a book that we could learn on trading technically matters.  It's Chartered Market Technician (CMT) which is presumably more about technical analysis.  Probably it takes months before you have successfully done reading all chapters that had on the book.  It might good to try for those who are willing to learn but for me, I'll rather go practice in copy trading on the Etoro platform while learning in trading, IMO.
I haven't read a book in relation of tradings just yet, but I believe that just reading it all alone wouldn't help that much. The application of theories learned in the mentioned in the book which is all about TAs as you mentioned is a must.
I had learned that attitude when I was learning programming back then.
3105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin price is so volatile? What are the major factors that drive it? on: March 17, 2021, 06:12:46 AM
~
Speculation would cause reaction to many investors depending on what the speculation is, but that's not the primary factor in affecting the price.
Once the investor reacts, it is either selling or buying.
That's why when there are many reactions to a lower price, investors tend to take chance of buying those dumped coins.
Increasing demand while shortening the supply. That's what affects the price.
3106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ADA Scam sites are unstopable? on: March 16, 2021, 07:32:05 PM
~
Uhhh yes OP they're common now these days.
One would even try to get your wallet to get all your precious coins (maybe not all because some of my coins were shit back then).
I wouldn't advise to trust a lot in Youtube even if there were a lot of subscribers or likes.
There's that thing called sold channels, like bot, and sub bot. They're being used by many deceivers in order to scam a lot of people.
If I can recall correctly, there was also fake ETH giveaway back then in youtube.
3107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Bitcoin which is best. on: March 16, 2021, 07:28:37 PM
Bitcoin and ethereum is now increasing the price day by day. How how to choose and invest the coin. Bitcoin or ethereum which is the best future investment and how to invest the coins. Kindly explain me the Bitcoin and ethereum coins deats. Kindly share the link also. Which is best opportunity for invitations coins. Kendriya give me your advice to invest the best coins
You can't compare the two, OP.
It's like apple and orange comparison.
Even though Bitcoin's price is higher than Ethereum per coin in US Dollars, that isn't comparable.
Both aim different things so you can't really compare.
3108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If most of Bitcoin is owned by few it cannot be a store of wealth for all on: March 16, 2021, 08:53:36 AM
Most people after entering this market told their friends and family to come to this market, if they had listened at that point then they would have incredible profits already but they did not and now they are complaining the price is too high.

The adoption of bitcoin all over the world is not going to stop, there was a time when that number was barely above 1 million and now some estimates put it close to 150 millions, that is a full country of people using bitcoin, if you do not adopt it now then there will be a whole continent of people ahead of you, personally I do not care but the more time you take the lesser the benefits you can get out of it.
I'm one of those actually. I was told by my friend to try out Bitcoin.
My big mistake that time was I didn't trust it because I thought it was some sort of illegal coin or some form of a scam. I could have been earning more than hella of a profit if I just followed it.

The adoption is constantly flowing but it is slow. We have a lot of people's awareness to Bitcoin's existence, but they're not just up to the game just yet.
3109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its coming i faster and would shock most people on: March 16, 2021, 08:46:44 AM
~
There was a thread here long time ago that says the same that hotels are now accepting cryptos as payment method. It's not something to be surprised of anymore actually. Having a cashless transaction is quite common now for the obvious reason of no physical contact with some people.
Even the travel payment here in my country is doing cashless now actually like those toll gates in freeways.
Only thing to worry about is will the adoption stay the same post-pandemic.
3110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 16, 2021, 06:44:10 AM
~
Well it could have been a better reason, but I am glad you were still satisfied with what you have sold and earned.
"HODL at all costs" is a bit harder to do than said because anytime you might need some cash to use in your life and depending on how much you have right now, you might sell a lot or a bit.
You still mentioned that you sold 5% out of your all hodlings.
That's fine as long you don't go all out.
3111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Are The Top Altcoins For Investments In 2021 on: March 16, 2021, 06:32:39 AM
~
Bitcoin's kinda expensive right now, but it shouldn't be that bad to still invest at it. Maybe not so much in quantity but still it is profitable.
Since the OP is focusing in alts, just go with ETH and some along the top 10.
I have quite strict in choosing the rankings because man of the alts are purely pump and dump or from simply hypes and wouldn't got a lot for a long-term.
3112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins shall I Buy Now!!!!!!!? on: March 16, 2021, 06:31:02 AM
~
I have never heard any of those coins and I am not even sure if they're profitable that much as they're within top 200, right?
That's a bit large of a scope already to find altcoins to invest at.
If I have $1k as you said, well probably ETH and the usual BTC.
3113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 15, 2021, 02:37:42 PM
~
It is decentralized.
Even if all the governments team up together, they can't.
The least that they can only do to "indirectly" stop Bitcoin is to block all the trading sites to their own country, by imposing a law to every existing ISPs out there.
Still the coins that people hold are still in the blockchain and they can't have any absolute control to that.
How can they even gain control if themselves even hold one? Cheesy
3114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading your strategy on DEMO is a waste of time on: March 15, 2021, 02:31:49 PM
^ It is totally different from demo trading while you are in actual trading, but it does not mean demo trading is useless. In fact, this is very useful when you are new to trading, I mean those newcomers in trading don't understand yet but they want to explore trading. But I agree with the OP, as a trader, should always having their own research and not all the time there is demo trading. Because in trading, not all the time you can able to make money, sometimes you will lose too if you did not have proper research. In trading, there is predator and prey, avoid not become always the prey.
Agree with your point though within my point.
In conclusion, doing demo trading are for those who aren't familiar yet with the UI.
I had the kind of barricade when I was day trading in Binance. There were a lot of trading tools I could use, and pressing the wrong button could lead to an actual loss for me cause the terminologies are too technical for a newbie to understand, like what is a candlestick and all that.
3115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading from Scratch on: March 15, 2021, 11:21:24 AM
I hope he can learn from this forum and read so many knowledge that will help him to learn about trading. He can ask something if he does not know and I am sure that if we can help him, we can suggest to him. Not just like that, maybe he can get a solution if he has a problem with trading to improve his skills to better skills. But I hope that he can have patient while learning to trade because that will not be easy and needs time before becoming a pro trader.
We can only hope that OP returns to this thread which isn't likely as he isn't active anymore.
He/she could be searching or trying out these answers we gave in the thread.
Should be locked by now though.
3116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading your strategy on DEMO is a waste of time on: March 15, 2021, 11:17:40 AM
I had read a thread that is quite similar to this.
The point was that if you indeed lose your money, you will feel the actual loss when it happens to you.
Unlike when it is only a virtual trade like demo, as you mentioned, you'll less likely to take seriously on what's going on regardless on what strategy you do in your trade.
I guess back then, I didn't made a mistake. I wasn't even aware that there is such thing as demo trade.
3117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invested in alt in 2017 ..and now need help to dont do same mistake on: March 15, 2021, 08:54:50 AM
~
You don't need to mind those "companies" you mentioned. They could be impacting the price a tiny bit because probably they're gonna buy in bulk as always as they're company not an individuals, but that shouldn't bother you.
Just invest when you have the coins.
Your hibernation in 2017 really did something, but you might have missed a bit that year because that was like one of the memorable ATH of BTC back then before it crashed.
3118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people care who Satoshi is/was? on: March 15, 2021, 08:08:42 AM
Curiosity actually. It's like solving a mystery but this one is pointless.
Others could be pursuing questions like why does the price of Bitcoin become too unstable.

For me, I don't. Just like what DannyHamilton said, most don't care. Let the person/s be because they're not gonna go here just to say something.

3119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to trade altcoins with btc vs fiat/stablecoins on: March 15, 2021, 08:00:40 AM
~
Indeed. That's why when I pair up my trades back then, the primary coin would be ETH then I'll just choose the pair that I think that suits the best for it.
One of my notable pairs back then was ETH/ADA.

@OP
The time that you would trade alts with stablecoins is to extract your profits from it to avoid the instability of the coins in the market.
3120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best stable coin when selling crypto? on: March 15, 2021, 07:49:46 AM
I would go for USDT, OP.
Though I would advise not to hold USDT for too long as many users already mentioned that USDT can be frozen and that ain't good for anybody's end when it happened in their trades.
