Dall'altro lato mi domando sempre: se una persona disponesse di un controvalore appunto interessante (buttiamo una cifra a caso per aiutare nel ragionamento, supponiamo € 200.000) custodito in proprio, ragionevolmente fosse l'unica persona a sapere come accedere e per una sciagura perdesse l'accesso o addirittura venisse a mancare, la famiglia che potrebbe essere all'oscuro della cosa o per nulla pratica di questa tecnologia, ne avrebbe un danno che, se fossi io quella persona, non saprei come perdonarmi, perchè la famiglia avrebbe perso una "liquidità" che li avrebbe potuti far vivere/sopravvivere meglio, soprattutto se l'interessato venisse a mancare. Se la famiglia non dovesse essere interessata a capire al momento come funziona, oppure per ragioni di sicurezza non gli si vuole comunicare che si possiedono X bitcoin, una possibilità sarebbe quella di lasciare delle istruzioni in una cassaforte in casa/banca e mettere il Ledger da qualche altra parte. Ovviamente in questo caso andrebbe tutto spiegato per filo e per segno incluso come vendere su exchange, come trasferire i fondi, dichiarazione per le tasse... È sicuramente una situazione complicata perché se si ha una certa età allora difficilmente la moglie, con tutto il rispetto, saprebbe come gestire una situazione del genere, la speranza risiederebbe negli eventuali figli però anche lì bisogna vedere l'età e la loro situazione economica: per quanto si possa educare bene un figlio cosa potrebbe succedere se questi a 15-20 anni avesse accesso a 200k euro? Saprebbe davvero come gestirli oppure c'è il rischio che sperperi tutto in pochi anni? Il discorso è sicuramente un tema importante e molto sottovalutato perché diciamo che a un testamento o cose simili difficilmente ci si pensa a 30-40 anni, soprattutto parlando di beni normali come una casa o un conto in banca, con bitcoin invece cambia tutto. |

Eight years is a big time frame and no one can guarantee if El Salvador will be the richest country or not b that time. It depends upon how many bitcoin El Salvador have and what will be the bitcoin prices after eight years.
I don't know, 8 years to me looks like a very short amount of time, I really don't understand how some of you may even think that bitcoin will be able to turn ES from one of the poorest economy in the world into the richest country in the world. Especially because they own just less than 2,000 BTC, that's a huge number for an individual but a small one for a company and/or a country. |

There is too much information about btc.
One day some bilionaire or banker who knows who say btc is good then someone say not good then ban btc and crypto then no ban then they say btc is dangerous then they say btc is good...and it goes on and on.
I wouldn't call that "information", those are just opinions coming either from a company or an individual, that's it. Then usually many people like to listen to someone in particular because they share their point of view, or maybe they simply hope that what they say is actually gonna be reality some day. Does your opinion on bitcoin change depending on who says what? Because it shouldn't. |

It doesn't make a lot of sense that article, there are single people who own more bitcoins than ES, does anyone think that there will be individuals worth more than the US or China? And what about Saylor and Microstrategy? Don't they have more than 100k BTC? Way way more than ES. |

I do think monetary education, in general, is important, and investing comes along in that basket, but what is more important is what crypto can teach us on a technological and sociological level. We need to educate the new generations on it in order to have a better understanding and a better future for crypto be it BTC or something else and to avoid the pitfalls of monetary knowledge of the old.
I agree with you, not only about the crypto knowledge but the financial education. It's crazy that at school they teach you things that we know no one is gonna ever use in their lives unless they choose a very specific path, but something very important like money management is completely ignored. |

I'm still in the green...more than double my initial investment. But then I got in nearly 2 years ago.
They're in the red only if they sell, otherwise 1 BTC = 1 BTC last year just like today. Bitcoin is also about patience, if people got into bitcoin at $50k-$60k thinking it would moon it's their problem, that's the first mistake. And if they sell now it's the second, a pretty big mistake actually. |

La zona non è il massimo ma l'appartamento sembra carino, ha molta luce. Del resto per quasi 1 mln € schifo non doveva fare......  Non ho potuto aprire l'articolo perché è a pagamento però io dovessi mai (e soprattutto potessi  ) spendere, o investire secondo i punti di vista, 1 mln di euro in una casa non prenderei mai un appartamento, vorrei la mia casetta privata con piscina e giardino. Poi so benissimo che in base alla zona i prezzi cambiano un sacco, ma spendere un 1 mln per stare in un appartamento per quando possa essere bello e luminoso mmm no grazie. It won't be a surprise if one or two of the countries of this list end up having Bitcoin as a legal tender in the near future. That would be great, and I feel that out of those 44 countries maybe even more than just 1-2 countries could choose to adopt bitcoin as legal tender. Reading those names, man, crème de la crème, I always say, better than nothing but seriously sometimes, it's a close call with this nothing.
Just some trivia, only three of those have a GDP per capita rank lower than 100, with Maldives managing to be the leading one with a rank of 65 in the world and with only 6 of them not in the UN food assistance program. You do realize that we need to start somewhere, don't you? Or were you expecting to see countries like the US, England, France, etc to be the first ones to adopt bitcoin? I think it's even good that it's happening in Central-South America and Africa because it's easier to get a domino effect over there, there are less regulations than in the first world countries and if they want to do something, they just do. If we begin to have 3-4 countries next to each other accepting bitcoin, well, things will get very very interesting! |

Sounds like the first politicians who pushed this ban were probably not interested in crypto
I'm not sure that's the actual reason, I feel like somebody pushed for this very specific type of ban for personal (or his party) reasons, political reasons of course because they were afraid they could lose. In this case it's cryptocurrencies but it could have been even gold if some people could donate in that way. |

What would you do in uncertain times? If you didn't sell before at this point the smarter thing to do is hodling until the market recovers again. Maybe it'll take a few months, maybe more than one year, but it's gonna happen. I never understood those people who don't sell when bitcoin goes up and then, when it starts going down, they get scared and even sell losing money. |

No beh aspetta, in Italia non si è mai avuta una legge chiara, sempre e solo interpretazioni diverse di altre leggi applicate alle cripto e interpelli vari; in Portogallo si sapeva per certo che le tasse non si pagavano (e non si pagano ancora oggi), poi come cambieranno le cose lo scopriremo ma se oggi uno va in Portogallo a vendere sa al 100% che non deve nulla allo stato. I think that having Bitcoin might be a good investment but calling it a safe haven might be over exaggeration. We all know how volatile Bitcoin is and how it may be up one hour then it will be down on another. This needs sound mental faculties and lots of patience and discipline if you want to reach your goals of financial independence on cryptocurrency. Surely you can call Bitcoin a safe haven once you have cashed out your millions.
Nothing is this world is safe, nothing can be 100% sure (except death and taxes). If making money with bitcoin was so easy everybody would do it and yet we have a lot of people buying high and selling low because they fear they're going to lose everything. For sure at the same time it also requires a lot of auto control, oftentimes even simply hodling can become a challenge. |

I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. If you feel like that just don't buy any bitcoin, take your money somewhere else, it's very simple. There are screenshot from this forum saying the same thing you're saying now when BTC was worth a few dollars, someone will have some regrets now... |

Are we witnessing the emergence of the biggest bitcoin antagonist in the cryptospace? I think Sam Bankman-Fried is one of the most intelligent founders in the cryptospace, however, I am starting to be more skeptical about his agenda. In the article, he mentioned that bitcoin may have a future as an asset, a commodity or a store of value.
I mean looking at the current bitcoin's history for sure he's not wrong, people prefer to hodl because the hope (know?) it'll go up in value again in the future, but also let's not forget that a very small amount of people own bitcoin. If and when there would be a mass adoption, and that's a big if, things will probably change. |

Ed è questo il problema dei vari token e coin a giro,
oltre il "progetto" non c'è quasi nessun utilizzo pratico e diffuso. La carta di credito è stata inventata oltre 50 anni fa se non vado errato eppure ancora oggi miliardi di persone non la possiedono. La maggior parte dei progetti ha pochi anni alle spalle, già bitcoin stesso è ancora relativamente di nicchia, figuriamoci i progetti/coin/token minori. Ovviamente è pieno di scam là fuori, quello è sicuro e sarebbe stupido dire che non è così, però non tutte le alt sono shitcoin, basta vedere BNB cosa è diventata ad esempio. |

Gold at least is for sure more scarce than other metals/resources. I remember when they were saying we were running out of oil and then they kept discovering more and more deposits, without even mentioning diamonds that are one of the biggest lies ever. People sooner or later will get more used to bitcoin as something that is digitally scarse, I understand that for the moment may be something difficult to understand/accept. |
