Sounds like the first politicians who pushed this ban were probably not interested in crypto
I'm not sure that's the actual reason, I feel like somebody pushed for this very specific type of ban for personal (or his party) reasons, political reasons of course because they were afraid they could lose. In this case it's cryptocurrencies but it could have been even gold if some people could donate in that way. |

What would you do in uncertain times? If you didn't sell before at this point the smarter thing to do is hodling until the market recovers again. Maybe it'll take a few months, maybe more than one year, but it's gonna happen. I never understood those people who don't sell when bitcoin goes up and then, when it starts going down, they get scared and even sell losing money. |

No beh aspetta, in Italia non si è mai avuta una legge chiara, sempre e solo interpretazioni diverse di altre leggi applicate alle cripto e interpelli vari; in Portogallo si sapeva per certo che le tasse non si pagavano (e non si pagano ancora oggi), poi come cambieranno le cose lo scopriremo ma se oggi uno va in Portogallo a vendere sa al 100% che non deve nulla allo stato. Due situazioni ben diverse direi. |

I think that having Bitcoin might be a good investment but calling it a safe haven might be over exaggeration. We all know how volatile Bitcoin is and how it may be up one hour then it will be down on another. This needs sound mental faculties and lots of patience and discipline if you want to reach your goals of financial independence on cryptocurrency. Surely you can call Bitcoin a safe haven once you have cashed out your millions.
Nothing is this world is safe, nothing can be 100% sure (except death and taxes). If making money with bitcoin was so easy everybody would do it and yet we have a lot of people buying high and selling low because they fear they're going to lose everything. For sure at the same time it also requires a lot of auto control, oftentimes even simply hodling can become a challenge. |

I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. If you feel like that just don't buy any bitcoin, take your money somewhere else, it's very simple. There are screenshot from this forum saying the same thing you're saying now when BTC was worth a few dollars, someone will have some regrets now... |

Are we witnessing the emergence of the biggest bitcoin antagonist in the cryptospace? I think Sam Bankman-Fried is one of the most intelligent founders in the cryptospace, however, I am starting to be more skeptical about his agenda. In the article, he mentioned that bitcoin may have a future as an asset, a commodity or a store of value.
I mean looking at the current bitcoin's history for sure he's not wrong, people prefer to hodl because the hope (know?) it'll go up in value again in the future, but also let's not forget that a very small amount of people own bitcoin. If and when there would be a mass adoption, and that's a big if, things will probably change. |

Ed è questo il problema dei vari token e coin a giro,
oltre il "progetto" non c'è quasi nessun utilizzo pratico e diffuso. La carta di credito è stata inventata oltre 50 anni fa se non vado errato eppure ancora oggi miliardi di persone non la possiedono. La maggior parte dei progetti ha pochi anni alle spalle, già bitcoin stesso è ancora relativamente di nicchia, figuriamoci i progetti/coin/token minori. Ovviamente è pieno di scam là fuori, quello è sicuro e sarebbe stupido dire che non è così, però non tutte le alt sono shitcoin, basta vedere BNB cosa è diventata ad esempio. |

Gold at least is for sure more scarce than other metals/resources. I remember when they were saying we were running out of oil and then they kept discovering more and more deposits, without even mentioning diamonds that are one of the biggest lies ever. People sooner or later will get more used to bitcoin as something that is digitally scarse, I understand that for the moment may be something difficult to understand/accept. |

I have found this somewhat interesting news for our North American friends which states that a California state regulator could be studying the possibility of annulling the ban on donations of cryptocurrencies to political campaigns that has been in force since 2018. I didn't even know there was this type of ban, reading the articles the concerns were about exceeding the donation limits and/or getting donations from abroad, are we really sure that with dollars people who actually want to do something like that can't? |

quello che mi lascia ancora piò stupefatto è la "ignoranza cattiva" dei vari commentatori, che addirittura augurano ai salvadoregni di diventar e rimanere ancora più poveri di quanto fossero prima dell'inizio di questa storia. È una cosa che ho notato già da tempo quando apro i commenti sotto qualche articolo postato su FB o qualche altro sito: c'è un sacco di gente che si augura il fallimento delle cripto e che chi ha investito perda tutto perché è una bolla, un Ponzi, etc. Non ricordo di aver mai visto un tale odio nei commenti riguardanti l'azionario o l'immobiliare ad esempio, qui si tratta proprio di gente che non ha investimenti in cripto, non gli interessano le cripto perché si capisce chiaramente da quello che scrivono, però al tempo stesso vivono con questo odio. Francamente faccio fatica a capirli, l'unica motivazione è che rosicano come castori perché probabilmente hanno capito che stanno perdendo un treno che passa poche volte nella vita. “Rosicano come castori” Conosco gente che reputo intelligente che aspetta da anni, e ripeto ANNI di entrare. A livelli sempre più alti. E quando ho mostrato loro il risultato di un semplice piano di DCA da 100 USD alla settimana hanno letteralmente strabuzzato gli occhi. Ma niente, aspettano ancora i 18k (diciotto eh… non 20, non 15, non 16…18). A me ha fatto ridere tantissimo un commento che ho letto sotto un video YT di TheCryptoGateaway, aveva fatto questo video dopo uno degli ultimi dump di BTC (roba delle ultime settimane) e questo fenomeno commenta con "io sono 2 anni che dico che sarebbe crollato", talmente stupido da non rendersi conto che 2 anni fa BTC di questi tempi stava allo stesso valore odierno e che nel frattempo ha fatto svariati ATH. Però nonostante tutto ha il coraggio di scrivere il messaggio con tono da professore. Parlando di amici e conoscenti ora che li menzioni, ne ho uno che ha lasciato il mondo cripto perché per lui non è possibile vedere crolli del 60-70-80%, l'azionario per lui era molto più sicuro, soprattutto i grandi titoli mi diceva, indovinate quale aveva comprato ovviamente... |

Bisogna vedere cosa faranno Esattamente, non si sa ancora nulla però già tutti che gridano alla tassazione super alta, mah. Io ricordo di aver letto dichiarazioni già mesi fa e dicevano che avrebbero iniziato a tassare le cripto però al tempo stesso non volevano esagerare perché erano consci che tante persone sono nomadi digitali, quindi come sono arrivati tranquillamente se ne possono andare. There have been more than 19400 cryptocurrencies but strangely no one has come with an idea to restart bitcoin so to allow new users to buy and mine it from the start. We already know that 4 million or more have been lost. What stops a computer programmer to copy the entire bitcoin code and change only the limit from 21million to 20 million.

Bitcoin is unique because it's completely decentralized and it's completely in the community's hands. If someone starts a new bitcoin it's already something centralized, and I don't see a single reason why the whole community should change their side. During the years we had also forks like Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Satoshi Vision and I don't remember what else, did they take bitcoin's place? No. Anyway you're completely free to start your own bitcoin. |

Ahahahahaah! Comunque ragazzi fatevi due calcoli sulle tasse di proprietà di una mostruosità del genere e poi cambierete idea. So che è un pensiero da povero ma trovo assurdo che si debbano pagare decine di migliaia di dollari/euro all'anno solamente per vivere dentro la propria casa. Sarò strano io ma una casa da $2 mln non mi sembra esageratamente cara (ovviamente in base al mercato) però mi sembra tantissimo dover pagar $20k all'anno per poterci vivere dentro. Eppure negli US le tasse sulle case sono di solito molto alte, cose che noi probabilmente non riusciamo neanche a cara In media corrispondono all'1% all'anno del valore della casa, quindi la "casetta" linkata da duesoldi avrebbe property taxes di circa $590k all'anno. Magari l'1% detto così può sembrare poco ma se comprate casa a 30 anni e vivete lì fino a 80 quell'1% diventa un 50% totale del valore della casa, e quando si va in pensione bisogna essere sicuri di avere i soldi non solamente per mantenersi ma anche e soprattutto mantenere la casa, cosa che per me è inconcepibile pensare che mi possano portare via una casa che ho pagato per completo solamente perché non posso pagare una tassa annuale altissima. Ecco perché poi la maggior parte degli anziani americani va a svernare all'estero oppure in mezzo al nulla. Tutto abbastanza triste a mio parere. |

I've never sold a satoshi since 2013, actually never sold any BTC.
Congratulations man, seriously! I got in some year later and since I'm not good trading I prefer to hodl as well, but it's always a very bumpy ride, many people have no idea what hodling really means, there is a lot of stress anyway in some situations but at the same time I feel good because I believe in bitcoin and I know it'll get always better and better. But again, it's not easy |
