321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: November 12, 2023, 09:41:47 AM
While Bitcoin and real estate are used in two different ways to build wealth, there are some similarities between the two fields. Real estate investment can help generate income almost permanently, though it may take time.  the other hand, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, which offers an opting market and opportunity to earn more profit in less time. However, this market is not replaceable and may take time to gain traction. If you want to chart your own path to profit in these two communities, good planning, education and time may be required. Which one is better will depend on your more value property, concept location and information-advice balance. By doing a thorough research you can develop your personal preferences and strengths.
Both bitcoin and real estate investing require considerable knowledge and expertise. An advantage of bitcoin investment is that it is not controlled by the government and the individual invests independently and is not influenced by anything. But when the country's economy suffers real estate investment loses its balance. Its value will decrease day by day investing will become easier if the charts can be evaluated correctly in the case of crypto investment.

One advantage when it comes to bitcoin is that you can invest even small amount of money.
But when you consider real-estate, it may require handsome amount of money and the documentary requirements are a lot.
However, if you do want a tangible asset in your portfolio, you will dedicate some of your resources and time to acquire one.
It is always best to diversify your portfolio, so getting both would be your advantage in the field of investment.
322  Economy / Economics / Re: "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today" on: November 11, 2023, 11:53:51 PM
The general definition of financial freedom is affordability to live the lifestyle that you wish for, so it's obvious that the more you earn the higher your lifestyle can become. Just remove the elite class from the discussion who can buy whatever they want and the price tag doesn't matter to them which is even beyond the top 1% apart from that everyone wants to spend on something that is worth the money and itself varies depending on their income generating stability.

my underline quote will be if you buy that an expensive bottle because you want it and can afford it then its financial freedom but you are buying it but you don't really wish to use it then its lifestyle inflation which is created purely from the peer pressure created by brands.

And the scenario presented by the OP is that the price of that bottle of perfume costs the same as the salary of that person.
So do you really think it is just to buy such perfume and suffer your other expenses?
You are delusional if you are just following the hype around you, why buying such expensive bottle for the mere reason of being relevant.
323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you avoid scammers? on: November 11, 2023, 11:27:28 PM
When someone messages or emails you that you've won big money but you can't remember that you have joined any promo then that's an obvious scam.
Another scenario is when someone wants to give you money out of nowhere and you are just randomly picked, there's no free money anymore coming from a stranger nowadays unless that person is a content creator but usually they do it in person. So, going back with these unusual messages to you that they're generously going to give you $xxxxx money, that's already a sign that you have to ignore and delete their message and never respond to any of them.

And if the OP is in telegram, discord and other social media channles, you will likely receive unsolicited offers or PMs.
Ignore them as much as possible as more than likely, they are just looking for naive users that will take their bait.
And when it comes to phishing emails, don't believe too-good-to-be-true emails, because the chance is they are really bogus.
324  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it Hold? BTC Targets $40,000 on: November 11, 2023, 10:45:00 PM
If bitcoin keeps up the pace it began to get at the beginning of November, I predict that by the end of the month, it will have reached or surpassed the $40k mark(hands crossed).

The price of bitcoin has increased from $33k to $37,000 + in the few weeks in November, which shows a green candlelight to be observe in the crypto market. Given our speculation that Bitcoin may reach $40k to $45k before the year is up, it's possible that the $40k prediction may come true shortly.

To reach the $40k mark, we only need like few thousands dollars and that is very achievable if the market sentiments would continue to be in the positive direction.
As people want to buy more, and so the demand increases. With the fixed supply of this currency, it can easily go up fast.
This is long time in waiting to reach this 30ish level. So the community has very positive vibes these days.
If we will hear more good news among big stakeholders, people will jump on this market that may create a very good price of btc before this year ends.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 11, 2023, 10:12:24 PM
This is just common sense. You own a company and there's no issue using the services that your company offer. It is also preferably for company owners use their platform instead of other unless.

Just think of it of having a business that sells groceries goods, where would you get or buy your grocery? The same concept goes for owning a gambling platform, and there's no policy or any conflict of interest would restrict them from using their services. There's even no question of ethics as you own the platform and if you cheat on it, then you cheat of yourself.

It is their prerogative to gamble in their platform. Maybe, even if there's some statement on their terms,
I guess, we will never know. Because who knows, some of these owners are fan of specific sports and they also do want to bet.
So instead of betting in other bookies, they can very well use their sportsbooks on this regard.
And the advantage here is that, even if they lose the bet, at least it is on the house, right?
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 11, 2023, 09:40:42 PM

Are you for real? Pasting a currency bill on my monitor and be staring at it should be enough to discourage me not to gamble? This is one of the lame advice to fight gambling addiction that I've ever heard. The currency bill on the monitor should be a driving force for me to gamble and not the other way round. Well, my gambling habits are in check, I set aside a small gambling budget which I normally use to gamble and whenever I happen to exhaust it, I quit playing.

People have their own tactic how to tackle their gambling activities, and for the OP, that's his way of reminding himself
that it is hard to earn money. I believe that's more on psychological thinking. And it may not be helpful to others.
So you need to think of your own approach how you can deal yourself when you are in front of your screen.
For me, first things first, I separate the funds for basic necessities and for other important expenses.
If I see that there's spare funds, that's when I will gamble. I always set my limits so I won't put myself into trouble.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 11, 2023, 08:58:05 PM
Gambling til the wheels fall off!  Seriously as long as it stays as a form of entertainment for me I'm gonna keep riding it.  Once it doesn't become fun for me anymore that's the end.  Probably will do smaller amounts as I get older but who knows.

On my end, maybe I will gamble when the occasion calls for, or if I want to have some fun.
But I guess, I won't take this activity as part of my daily routine. Just on occasional basis.
Because let us accept the fact that as when you are in the last phase of your life, you have nothing much to do.
Gardening, traveling, eating, sleeping, and other laid-back activities will run out from your list, and you would want to have some variation in your everyday boring life. So yes, maybe, I will still gamble.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? on: November 11, 2023, 08:29:49 PM
What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? What percent of people will agree to getting pension in bitcoin in your opinion  ? What will be the benefits and limitations of this occurrence in long term for people and economy?
Firstly the pension belongs to the government sector mostly, some private companies also do but mostly the government gives this to their retired employees. I didn't think that the government would take this kind of initiative because the government wants centralization and Bitcoin is decentralized, Let's say if the government applies this method then what do the employees do, Will they accept it, no never because they do not know about Bitcoin they only know the fiat currency then how they will trust such a new currency. But maybe they will accept this if the government orders them as they are the government servant and they are obeying to order. This will be a greater initiative and will be more beneficial for retired persons.

This is hard to implement as we are talking about government initiatives.
As much as possible, they would stick to their fiat. Some may offer, but the possibility here is just small percentage in btc.
I don't think they will go for 100% pension in btc. And besides, not all these pensioners would want to get their share in btc.
Most of them would like a secure payment method, which is in fiat. But we can't totally discard the idea for futuristic goals.
329  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: November 11, 2023, 07:59:20 PM

everything you say is true, the effects of war are very bad for the economy, and if we look at the past, in fact the severe effects of war are not much different from the effects of the previous Covid 19 pandemic, purchasing power decreases, and economic uncertainty increases but it is different from a pandemic yesterday, if in yesterday's pandemic shares of health products increased during the war, it is likely that shares of basic material products such as oil, vehicles and weapons would increase drastically, this is all because of delays in supply and also increased demand.  War will always have bad effects on the economy and also the psychology of many people.

But we can't discard the other fact that some countries can take advantage of this terrible situation.
Like those who have the oil such as Middle East, weapons from US & Russia, and other war requirements.
So for those countries mentioned, they have the edge on this situation. But for the country which is directly involved with the war,
their people alone have physical suffering, fatalities and more. Definitely, their economy is greatly influenced by war.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 💥 UltiChain | Hybrid of PoS and PoW | Community Driven Blockchain on: November 10, 2023, 11:59:14 PM
Discord or support contact?
Discord link broke.
I have a problem with explorer:
I have ultichain wallet with amount, but can´t find my wallet adress in the explorer.

Please provide support contact.

This thread is not very active, are you sure you want to spend some of your resources on this alt?
Most community driven projects here didn't survive long. Let alone be listed in a decent exchange.
Maybe look for more valuable projects out there. Though I don't know if you are mining or just staking.
Also, you can check their other social media channels to see how their devs are doing on this project.
If it is community driven, the possibility of lack of funds maybe is their main hurdle to push thru their plans.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice for new comers on: November 10, 2023, 11:42:34 PM
First thing that the newcomer needs to know is the fact that,  gambling is not a means of making an honest and steady earning so at that they should take gambling as just for fun and nothing more than that,  and for sure I am clear on the fact that many of the newbies have gone so far as setting a target winning amount when they make deposits into their casino account,  and without any form of control of any possible excesses while at that,  so for sure and to some they always end up being disappointed when the revise become the case and the lose everything.

Starting up gambling on the wrong note can do more danger than losing because when you lose as an expert,  you can re strategize and win again later,  but if a newbie already have bad start up mentality,  he will be forced to continue to chase a particular directions and that can only lead him to more troubles instead solutions to the current outcome.

If all gamblers would just take gambling as just for fun and entertainment, I believe not many gamblers will have financial problems.
But the reality is most of these gamblers are after for the possibility of winning big or the dream that they will get rich out of their betting activities.
Maybe we can say, poker and sportsbetting have the chance to be your main source of income, but it would take years and years before someone can reach to the level of being an expert.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What lies ahead for Bitcoin in the coming days? on: November 10, 2023, 10:42:39 PM
I think, the price of Bitcoin will hit higher more than what we are experiencing from the crypto market now, that made the price to change to another level to change the mind of those that said bullish season will not appear before the end of this year 2023.
Well, that's obviously going to happen so it's only a matter of time what happens next, so it's in our best interest to just continue accumulating more bitcoin as much as possible. I have to disagree with you about this one though, this isn't the bullrun yet per se. It's more of a combination of historical price expectation, halving anticipation, and the expectations of the market on the ETF decisions so don't be discouraged yet not buying now because it's not the highest peak nor the start of bullish season yet.

If you have strong belief about this possibility, then start collecting more satoshis if you have extra funds to use.
Because such positive prediction will only matter if you have your own stash when the price starts to increase.
As we are seeing these days, we finally see the 30k level again and it seems 40k is in the horizon.
333  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💰New Bonus System | 💸Get all Bonuses from Rank 1 on: November 10, 2023, 10:12:34 PM

Good to see this so let see if this can catch some interest of people to accumulate BFG.

The effect of these burnings is minimal. It always has an effect on the dividends you receive (they will be a bit higher) for the next couple of days but the monthly burnings are too minimal to have any impact on the BFG price also.

I think Betfuri should burn ten times as many tokens every month in order for the burn to have a positive impact on the price of BFG. Hopefully the casino team will realize this at some point.
Token burn is one mechanism thst the developer teams employ to help the value of the token, and yes the amount in total burn is as in proportion to how the token value will increase on both long term abd short term basis and this is why if any developer have the chance to burn their coins tgen their do that as many times as possible and if the betfury team really want to help the value of the token, it means their going to burn large number of the coins in total and if you advice them to burn as many coins as possible it sounds like the right approach and any team that is serious with they token progress their will definitely allow such burn activities.

And another effective way again is to also make room for a buy-back mechanism for the token at some point and this way the team invests money into the project by buying the token back from the investor immediately after the token gets listed on an exchange.

I like the idea of this buy-back, because it also shows that the token is being valued by the team themselves.
Because if they are spending some of their resources to get their tokens back, it means, they have plans that will provide more value to their token.
The BFG token has a bit of increase on its market value, but the team should think of other activities that will add to the value of the token.
But considering all the casino tokens out there, I believe, BFG is one of the few which is still sustaining its market presence.
334  Economy / Gambling / Re: Guide for newcomers Start a fun and profitable gambling entertainment journey o on: November 10, 2023, 09:48:05 PM
Most of the newcomers will always be fascinated to gambling after making the discovery that they can earn through such means, they therefore center their personal mind on making money through gambling together with having fun, but things aren't the way it's being viewed sometimes not until we have started to know what's going on with gambling, some will not even thought about the risk in it, all they want is always seing things work together as they have planned, we should not be greedy or to eager to making money while gambling.

Newbies are always moved by what they have been told; not until they have had first-hand knowledge of what they have been told will they know what reality is all about. It is when they have had first-hand experience that they will know that what they were initially thinking about is not what the reality is. So therefore, making money through gambling is not the right thought and is not the reality. No one should advise anyone to do that, and they believe it. Anyone who does that is heading for a doom.

A lot of people need to have their first-hand experience before they will truly learn their lessons.
Sometimes we already know even before jumping in, however, we still proceed because we need to check it out on our own.
This is why it is always best to remind yourself from time to time why you are gambling and your financial capacity to spend.
There may be winnings and losses, that's gambling after all. But as early as you can, set your limitations in this addicting activity.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sad reality: some countries gamble more than they can afford on: November 10, 2023, 08:55:19 PM
Regardless of the status of the country if you can’t afford to gamble then why gamble?
Seriously, there’s a lot of gamblers that are hoping to make a good profit out of gambling and they are doing this using the money they borrowed most of the time. This is the sad reality of many gamblers, they are taking such risk though some succeed but still many become broke because of this poor practice.

We can't do much for these people who gamble their money instead of buying their basic necessitiess.
Just look at the African region like Nigeria, a lot of people are below poverty level and yet, gambling is rampant in their country.
That is indeed the sad fact of life. But if you happen to reside in one of those countries, try to change your path and make a living for yourself.
As one person, what you can do is not follow their footsteps but instead alleviate your economic status by educating yourself and find a decent job.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting losses, Take a break and just focus on Bitcoin. on: November 09, 2023, 11:41:56 PM
If you know what Bitcoin is and you’ve managed to somehow take losses investing this year, you are a special sort of trader… With Bitcoin up more than 100% nobody should be able to say they’ve lost a penny. If they did, they’re clearly doing it wrong. Just stack BTC. It isn’t brain surgery. It’s the best performing investment in human history. Stop trying to outpace it.

The OP's example I believe is trading futures in alts, so this one is actually hard.
If you don't know what you are doing, you can easily get liquidated in futures.
This is why if you are not sure in this trading market, better go for spot trading.
Maybe, the losses will be minimal. And also, deal with top alts, not new ones.
If the project is small, it can easily be manipulated by the team and they can easily deploy the wash trading technique.
337  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat & Crypto - Effective Expert Advise on: November 09, 2023, 10:09:38 PM
If you want to invest in cryptocurrency, then you should start with Bitcoin. There are thousands of altcoins in the space, but before you get convinced to buy any, you should have a significant fraction of bitcoin in your wallet. There's always the law of investment, which is not to carry all your eggs in one basket. You could be seeing your job as your sustainable source of income, but you don't know what can happen the next moment. If you have set up your own streams of income, you definitely will not be in shit, but if you have altcoins as your only backup plans, then you might lose out entirely.

As any investment piece of advice, you should always diversify your portfolio.
Whether in crypto or other assets. You should think of the contingencies and worst possible scenarios that you may encounter with.
Alternative options on how to survive will give you an edge to combat possible crisis.
338  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: November 09, 2023, 09:15:50 PM
Getting a degree helps to broaden someone's thinking mentality socializing while trying to get a degree is very vital to ones success partially, getting a degree can help and also expose the person to more presentable opportunity in life unlike the ones without a degree if there is no work in that region the person should improvise learn some digital skill and create a niche for him or her self
Nothing will be wasted if something is really needed for ourselves, for example a degree that can indicate a person's expertise in what field. Because an educational degree can reflect that a person has basic knowledge in a particular field when he wants to apply for a job in his own area, so there is nothing wrong with any degree. Because there are also many successful people who rely on degrees even though they are also accompanied by the experience they have had themselves through their life environment.

No harm done if you happen to acquire a degree and further studies.
If you have the chance and funds, it won't hurt achieving such milestone in your life.
Later on, you will thank yourself for having one. It will also give you edge among your competitors.
Even if you set-up your own business, still, having a degree is an advantage in my opinion.
It will give you sufficient knowledge not to be screwed by others or at least embark those challenging roles that you will encounter of.
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: The crypto market has changed and I think its a sign of mass adoption on: November 09, 2023, 08:40:18 PM
This is something I have been noticing more lately, years ago it was unheard of to see people talking about this market or wearing a shirt with a bitcoin logo, but I have noticed this has changed and it is happening more and more often, however to my surprise meme coins are the most common topic of conversation I hear related to this market, so I expect that during the next bull market useless coins like that will perform great for a time only to collapse at an amazing speed, and most of those people will lose their money and even the interest they had on this market.
Meme coins are there and they bring some negative points to cryptocurrency in their game against fiat. Bitcoin on the other hand does not need that publicity or the flashy apps and ads to market itself, its prices forces people to start buying it.

For those who are in it for quick gains the chances they will shove BTC aside and go for memecoins is way more and these people are the majority of newcomers and the future outcome is that they will fail. But the other group is here for long term and that with bitcoin - these people help in the adoption and growth of price.

But these users will learn their lessons quick once their meme coins or tokens are being abandoned by the devs.
Because up until now, very few type of this coin survive long term in the trading market.
And usually, their developments is very slow or nothing at all, hence, you can't expect that they will improve thru time.
This is why a lot are still going back to btc once they got burned by these projects.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding for long might not be the best option. on: November 09, 2023, 08:09:01 PM
I really would not blame a newbie for not knowing the right time to buy BTC. Or knowing how long to maintain a HODLing investment for best profit. Afterall, that's why they are called newbies in the first place.
Since there are also not so many known broadcast channels where legit crypto signals is given out,  it would be hard for new BTC investors who are so motivated, to ascertain the dip or tell the distinction between bullish and bearish seasons respectively.

Anyone investor should be left to try out their best strategies and stick with the one that pays best. This is how pro traders and whale investors are made.

Even long time holders or traders are still having hard time in deciding whether to buy or not.
But if you are using spare funds, it won't be very hard to decide as you can wait the right time to sell.
And talking about crypto signals, I don't think they are worth checking out. I don't know how you can label them as legit.
But so far, crypto signals won't be your savior in this market. Better do your own trading and learn the trade by experience.
