3241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: July 04, 2017, 06:31:08 AM
gambling is not alll about money. Its about fun, entertainment and co-relation between gamblers. Think of it as a type of socializing with others. Money is just a number but the real essence of gambling is Entertainment, thrill and satisfaction.

For me, money is everything in gambling. You're very clear you will not be able to gamble without money. Any game you play if without money will not be called gambling. For entertainment is just a bonus of gambling that we can get.

I agree with you, money is everything in gambling, if I want to catch fun or entertain myself there are several places to go from the cinema to the bar of even to watch a show but when it comes to gambling its serious business which is all about two parties wanting to ensure the other loses money and when the party that loses is me, I am not happy and that is not fun and there is nothing entertaining about that for any reason.
3242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make sure you don't lose money on: July 04, 2017, 06:11:20 AM
I'm about to launch a "gambling" website soon which will not take any fees at all and will only live off ads/donations (not sure how well it will go, but we'll see). So the chances to double your money would actually be 50%, not a bit lower. I already have implemented a coin flip mode, where one player creates a new coin flip game and the other joins it, but I also want to create a mode which does not require a second user. For example slots or roulette, since you can play it alone and don't need to wait for a second player. One of the main reasons I want that kind of mode is that because most likely at first the website will not be frequently visited and I don't want users waiting minutes (or even hours) just to play a single game.

And I could make a mode that you could play alone, but what if someone keeps winning and winning? The money the player wins won't come from someone else, but from me. And I don't want to risk losing everything myselfmyself and then not have enough money to give out.

Anyways, I need an idea for a gamemode that a player could play by himself (WITHOUT a house advantage) without there being any other users on the website, while I wouldn't have to risk losing big money myself, because some user got lucky.

I think this is impossible, but perhaps there is some way, I've been thinking of something like "out of every $10 played, $5 will be lost", but I believe it could be abused and what if someone bets a huge amount once and wins?

So, any ideas?

There is no way for a gambling site not to charge anything at all because even the gamblers won't trust that site and I want to know the amount of ads that will be enough to pay the bills from hosting to security down to administrators considering that its an upcoming site in which the traffic won't be high enough to generate the right set of ads to pay enough. Relying on donations will be another worse of situation because that will only occur from 1 out of say 30 winners. The way to go is to reduce the house edge to the minimum.
3243  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If you kill cow, then you will be killed. on: July 03, 2017, 06:49:23 PM
If that is actually the case of anybody who kills a cow should be killed then nobody would exist in the world of today. Several religious organizations will eventually turn us to vegetarians because the Muslims will tell us not to eat pork, this one now saying we should eat cow maybe we will start eating elephants I am sure one group will still come out to say we shouldn't do that eat that one too.
3244  Other / Off-topic / Re: Porn is creating transgenders on: July 03, 2017, 03:09:06 PM
Like someone has rightly noted there is absolutely no relationship between porn and being gay or straight. If you are one you are one. I have friends that have watched porn right from adolescent ages and for over 15 years they are still who they are as they are even more straight than you can think of if anything of such exist. Porn is a an act to me just like other movies as you dont expect me to start behaving like Bat Man or SuperMan just because I have watched a movie to that effect day in day out.
3245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC only for middle and upper economic class? on: July 02, 2017, 06:28:59 PM
hello..Please your opinion.

As we know that Bitcoin is being discussed right now and people hope in their country Bitcoin can be ratified as a legitimate transaction tool. But in my country, only about 3% are familiar with bitcoin. Is this because only the upper middle class knows the bitcoin, or is there any other cause? What about bitcoin in your place?

Over here as well I will also say the upper and middle class are mostly involved in bitcoin and little part of the lower class and the reason is because the fact that for anyone to even know about bitcoin over here, you have to have access to the internet in which the categories of people I mentioned there are the ones that even have the capacity to have the kind of smart phones that could do that, the level of knowledge to operate such and even the financial wherewithal to afford such while to others they are comfortable with the mobile phones that can call, and reacieve text messages.
3246  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You eat pork you look like pork on: July 02, 2017, 12:35:00 PM
I dont like pork as well. If i have a chance i always prefer sheep meat.
But if you are not living in a muslim country it is very hard to escape from pork. Most fast foods, pizza, snacks includes pork. They use it because it is much cheaper.
Btw In muslim countries, they makes beefs with turkey and cheats. Especially most 5 star all in hotels in turkiye or most arabic countries. They throw the bull saying not using any pork but still cheat  Grin

The fundamental reason why they dont eat pork is just because they believe its dirty, the animal itself love to be in the mud or dirty places and that no matter how you wash it, it does not leave but thats because as at the time of the old it was impossible to was it to be clean with bare hands but today, with the advancement of technologies where pigs could be reared without even touching muds and washed with big equipment in matter of minutes, cooked within seconds, I see no reason not to eat it only issue there is the health factor of containing too much fat.
3247  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society Wants You Addicted to PMO on: July 02, 2017, 12:15:38 PM
Does society want you to be addicted to PMO (Porn, masturbation and orgasms) to lower your testosterone levels? Low testosterone makes men more submissive. Authoritarian systems need submissive, non-individual citizens. Why is porn made so easily accessible? What do you think?

https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/your-brain-on-porn-series

I would want to disagree with that based on my own point of view because there are still some societies that are morality personified that the reason why some people decides to be of high morals up till this day is because of the society they grew up in and how the society frowns and judge anyone who is found wanting in one behavior or the other and not only you would be judged but your parents as well. The issue of prostitution is one thing that is common to every society in which we have seen even countries place a ban of the visiting of sites and even if you have to engage in it, you must not do it openly. Some society, the law enforcement agencies are fully against it and raid them on a frequent basis. How would that be encourage by the society?
3248  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If you open a bank account in a country which has no BTC tax on: July 01, 2017, 05:04:49 PM
Lets say you live in a country where Bitcoin is taxed. If you open a bank account in a country where it isn't, and withdraw it directly to there do you have to pay tax on it? Is that even legal?

The fact that you are receiving the money outside your country does not mean you earn it there and tax is based on your primary place of residence but at the same time, its a form of tax avoidance because if the money is now coming into the country, you pay lesser than if you receive it in the country. That's what most multi national countries do in other to avoid paying high tax from countries that are not tax friendly but at the same time government is trying to curb that through Transfer Pricing mechanisms.
3249  Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin. on: July 01, 2017, 03:19:19 PM
To achieve this won't be something of a short journey at all because how do we even get those products there in the first place, how do we even get out of our individual country, which country will allow us have an Island that won't hesitate? How do we even protect ourselves against foreign aggression? These and many questions begs for answer to show that our generation might not even the one that will benefit form such initiative while those coming after cannot be trusted to get it to reasonable conclusion.
3250  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Legal frugs VS. Illegal Drugs on: July 01, 2017, 11:26:27 AM
When can we say that a drug is legal and illegal. All drugs are harmful if not taken properly or being abused right? in this case, I think all drugs are legal, It's just a matter of how a person utilizes it right?

As bad as cocaine is, it has its own medicinal use which is to heal serious wounds as a result of fatal accident but in that case, it has to be under the supervision of a medical personnel. That's legal because its for a greater good but not to use it and get high and after that start misbehaving which can in turn lead to been remanded in rehabilitation homes if he has been declared bankrupt as a result of its use. That's outrightly illegal.
3251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid of August One? on: July 01, 2017, 10:11:09 AM
We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?

I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.

Bitcoin. Is not some alt that a decision like this can just bring an end to just like that. Whether you are against segwit or not and its finally happening, then everyone will be affected whether to the positive or the negative and the most important thing is that, the majority will be the deciding factor of which direction the price will swings towards. In otherwords, I am not afraid of what will happen on August 1 or beyond because whatever will happen, I won't be the only one and no matter the tension exercised now, it can't change that August 1 from coming into play.
3252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Thoughts. Is Bitcoin mining just another money pit? on: July 01, 2017, 08:47:06 AM
In my opinion, aside those that have given in early, the issue of getting rich through bitcoin at this time is a procedural one and not just hitting it big because if you should buy and hold you are looking at maybe 2-3 years to get a sizeable margin to make a difference (if the outcome is favourable though). If you decide to start offering service you gather little by little not just once either way the only source is to exercise patience learn then hope it will happen one day.
3253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Resurrection of Satoshi Nakamoto on: July 01, 2017, 07:59:17 AM
I know (and can convince myself) that reappearance of Satoshi Nakamoto or disclosure of his identity will be when and exactly when 1 satoshi=1 dollar cent.

I don't see Satoshi coming out because of that. Its a great feat but that would mean 1bitcoin would worth as much as a million dollar which is far from reality. Even if that should happen, I still don't see Satoshi coming out but maybe those who wants to make us believe they are the ones behind it though. As at today, the price of bitcoin has witnessed a lot of improvement for some to come out compared to its price in the last 8 years but yet he didn't and I don't see that even happening.
3254  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request on: July 01, 2017, 07:23:58 AM
I need some loan in bitcoin. If anybody want to help me please follow my bellow requirement:

Loan Amount: 0.1 BTC
Want to Pay Interest rate : 1.3% monthly.
Contact me: cjnmoh@hotmail.com

Just like that, you are asking for loan, you are dictating the term even without reading the requirements of the forum on the issue of asking for loans. I hope this does not land a red for you that you might even have to abandon the account all together. There are processes and there are rules do well to read them.
3255  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: June 30, 2017, 09:10:43 PM
About #1, if you don't believe me, try sending out a transaction on a Sunday. I've had transactions be confirmed within the hour at only 40 sat/b which comes out to around $0.20 worth of transaction fees in contrast to sometime like today when the fee is around 300 sat/b. It all depends on the mempool load, which happens to be lower during weekends. That being said, I still think a scaling solution is a must for Bitcoin, but that's outside the scope of this thread.
You have your reason for saying that because sometimes too I have made some transactions as well while some confirms faster than the other but I just couldn't linked if its related to less traffic on the network during weekend but I guess I will have to try this as well. I feel there is need for the issue of fees to be sorted so people will be more encourage to use more of chip mixer service.
3256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is violence really the key to a drug-free country? on: June 30, 2017, 08:32:08 PM
Aside from resorting to violence, what are your suggestions or answers to solve and deal with drug addicts and users in your country?

Sometimes extreme situations demands extreme measure which is why violence is sometimes considered but in every clime of the society, I have never seen where violence solved any issues rather people will fear to be caught rather than stopping the attitude altogether. The issue of drugs is a something fundamental which violence will not solve rather a massive campaign aimed  at doing reorientation of the community then making sure the source of the drug is shut and then identify the reason for people resorting to that in the first place.
3257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin price increase to $1 Million one day? on: June 30, 2017, 06:24:12 PM
Some said it will.  What do you think?

(The estimated 2017 GDP in the US is $19.4 trillions.  If the price of a BTC increases to $1M, with 21M in total supply, the market cap would be $21 trillions.  Of course, the $19.4T is in present value and the $21T is in an unknown period of future value.)

I dont think it will ever reach that point because the reason why we are still witnessing sharp increase in the price of bitcoin is because of the fact that the currency is still evolving with new people coming on a daily basis and the moment the market is saturated up to a point which I believe bitcoin price wouldnt have reached the $1million then the only increase we will be seeing over a period of time will only be marginal which only one major event can push it further.
3258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price after 1 August - Down 50% on: June 30, 2017, 05:25:28 PM
Bitcoin price after 1 August - Down 50%

how do you think about bitcoin price after 1 August 2017.
if there is hard folk, will price down to 50%??

I would like to know exactly.

News and threads like this create will unnecessary speculation, which will put panics in the mind of newbies coming into the fold new. There have been several news that have happened in the past one year and the price still stands tall, among them include the ban on exchange site from China, another is the failed listing in the United States which came and went but we still stand. So, August 1 will come, whatever implementation that would happen will surely do and I believe we will still be standing August 2nd.
3259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down unda on: June 30, 2017, 04:33:25 PM
People have been trading bitcoin in Aus since it was created, you're a bit slow if you think otherwise.. By it's very nature, anyone with an internet connection has access to it, always helpful when some semi-celebrity shares the news and it filters through to the mainstream.

Even over here, there are several people using bitcoin over here that I know while several others that I dont know but because the media over here is just keeping quiet over the matter which I feel by the time they wake up from their slumber, then it will seems its just a new way of 'making money' but at that time, a lot of people including myself will just sit back and laugh because we have heard and involved several years before the outbreak of the boom they are all expecting.
3260  Economy / Economics / Re: What do these new people getting rich off crypto mean to the economy at large? on: June 30, 2017, 03:28:21 PM
I apologize if this question is in any way naive.. I'm not really any kind of economics expert. I was just wondering what might happen to the world economy since there are so many new people getting rich off these cryptocurrencies... Just based off speculation or holding the right coins a lot of people have gained in wealth in the past years. And it doesn't seem to be slowing down.

So, you have a lot of 'new money' propagating even 'newer money'... and so on and so on, until a lot of people are pretty rich. Does this mean that there is a huge depression ahead of us? Surely just making more and more money can't go on forever, can it?

I'm sure I'm not seeing the big picture here so please, could someone explain it to me?

I believe its just new sets of Millionaires that is being made while those who are made already before venturing into bitcoin have to contribute marginally to the economy of their respective countries. Also, I see that not every one is getting rich at the same time because in the real sense, just like trading, its a zero sum game while some are making money and others are losing money and at the end of the day, summing up everything together means there is really no change whatsoever in the overall economy. So depression is not anything close to us.
