Heck I'd be fine if everyone posted their reviews in here, but it'd probably be better to have a reviews-only thread for the Compac since this one will keep going on past it with Amita and TypeZero talk for the next couple months.
We might should start a unified thread for all reviews or something to keep information centralized and not obnoxious.
Since I'm planning on sending out 8 units for review, not 3. Thumbs up to anything to centralize information is good. People will be beating a path to your door not like you need to spread it out over 10's of threads like Bitmain or Avalon trying to pump sales from paid shills like what goes on now. Have one thread for reviews. Guides become the default support thread which is not right as they should be in the SUPPORT section not hardware. One for support and this one all you need I guess right?

Is there a "review" section (or something similar) in this forum ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Put a link in your OP to it,so you don't clutter up sections.Definitely make it self mod ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) There should be a child section REVIEW / GUIDE that could de-clutter the hardware section. Can't the 8 people you are suggesting just post here if you give em a template should be easy enough? You can just put it in the general Mining area with the link.

Our team has contacted you multiple times and requested to have a session to verify the status of the machines and attempt to debug the situation. These sessions have a very high success rate yet you have repeatedly refused to help us assist you. Even then, you have been offered to RMA the machines but have chosen to ignored our communication attempts. We certainly honor the warranty and would like to help, but we cannot do that without your cooperation. I again ask that you reply to the latest communication and proceed with the RMA process. For clarification, only communication with support@spondoolies-tech.com is documented and officially responded to. We do our best to answer questions asked on the forum but can only guarantee response to contacts to our official support email. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction after you respond to our communication, I will gladly take ownership of your ticket to see that the issue is resolved. We appreciate your support and cooperation, Gadi I just have compliment Spondoolies on their support here. I am glad to see such great customer service! My next rig has to be Spondoolies. Used? Or are you seriously looking to be a B2B customer and their newer offerings?

I am patiently waiting I am trying to sell my 6 X S2's but if the upgrade kit comes out ill take them off the market and go the upgrade route instead
Why? I doubt the upgrade will come. Selling them? Maybe to someone looking to mine some alts? Got a price in mind?

Yeah, the sad thing miners will pay for it , cuz those who do are addicted and dumb..
It doesn't help when you have people being paid to push the product like it has value beyond being a money printing machine. The fact it can run more efficiently, quieter etc is dressing these pigs up. If you don't have vast amounts of cheap electricity and buying power in the millions you are not going to recoup your investment in anything sold these days. Avoid it. There a few names that keep popping up over and over and over again in these threads marketing as hard as they can for some of these fabricators. It is pretty obvious where there BIAS leans.
|
|
|
Remember the names of the people pushing yet another over priced product, for a fee, and it fails to be delivered on time to any specification mentioned by HashCoins you make sure to not believe it the next time the same people spin some other dubious fabricator.
What amount of money are you going to spend on something that can't even break even? The denial in this thread is palatable. Avoid this product and company until they produce a unit that is reviewed by someone other than Adam Allcock preferable someone that doesn't buy and sell product ratings.

FWIW, in my experience, if you've made it onto Vod's radar, more-oft-than-not, it's deserving due to some sort of unsavory behavior perpetrated against this community. Vod for Global Moderator !
It is the "not" part that seems to be the point here Xian. Nobody is perfect. I have to think the dude means well. He might... and so might those complaining about him. Catch 22. There is always more unseen than seen in these all or nothing propositions that get argued here. For me more concerned with some of these accounts just off view just purchased carrying out these crimes.

So many demands and still Quickseller puts them in their place.
I'd like to see a thread nominating Quickseller and Vod as global mods. Scammers would be out of luck.
This is the kind of trust that needs to go away. Blindly trusting someone because they're in the default list. Trust no one? or Trust everyone until they give a reason not to? or Do your homework and make sure you have sufficient information from which to adequately identify the person of business you are dealing with. If you are using the trust system as anything other than a starting point and do not do your due diligence then you are more likely to fall victim. Does the person you are dealing with use a REAL name and provide ways to verify their identity or business or pseudonyms and remain quasi anonymous the whole time? Anyone putting FAITH in Quickseller who doesn't know his real name and vital information is really asking to be abused. Guys anonymous who would trust anyone like that particularly if he is offering negative ratings of others?

B2B or consumer grade products would be the question I ask PatSNL? If you are still into home mining in the next 4 to 6 months I wonder if either Spondoolies or BITMAIN will be selling to home miners then.

Just found out Blockstream got 21 million USD in funding.
Yes the potential synergy of Freicoin and Bitcoin makes me giddy. Shill on!

M Z, why do you always jump on the wagon to defend Quickseller like that? This time you didn't exactly defend him but effectively derailed the discussion with irrelevant posts.
There is a pattern across more than just the MZ account and Quickseller. Reason? Same person? Partner? Paid shill? Spam of someone building the account for sale later?
|
|
|
Not a shill but I do love Freicoin. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Not every coin has been a straight up clone.
See Freicoin as an example of how a developer team saw a potential variation to Bitcoin could be radically different as well as solve some issues that Bitcoin can not.

Edit: Is it just me, or does it seem that Theymos/this forum is getting more attention from authorities recently?
Honestly can't say I'm surprised, given his anarcho-capitalist learnings. A lot of bad shit has gone down on these forums, and Theymos has arrogantly shirked his responsibility at being a good steward of this community, IMO. Lost all respect for him during the BFL 65nm shit-storm. It is a selective process. Depends who gets scammed or who does the scamming.

Ummm and is there a point?
Topic seems way off track here.
And neatly we have some newbs pop up with strange and wondrous SPtech hardware failures.
I hope Spondoolies tracks down the units and provides compensation but I bet there is something peculiar in these complaints.
There is an easy fix. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs18.postimg.org%2Frpkrc5y7d%2Fsettings.png&t=663&c=_NiBJV0SvYeCHg) That doesn't fix the off topic posts or the mysterious newbs coming out the woodwork with hardware issues. Odd very odd. Simple way to avoid this off topic crap might be that it get deleted? And I have used those features for years... good for others edification though.

As long as BadBear trusts him nothing can be done.
Not true. If 2 other people on the default trust list exclude him, then he will no longer be in the default trust network. Those 2 people need to cut him loose.
