Which version brings back P2Pool support?
1.4.4 Test Version or
1.4.4-t75 Test Version?

1.4.4 is for regular users.
1.4.4-t75 is for immersion cooling version of the board, it has thermal shutdown configuration matching immersion cooling environment.

OooooOoooH ... Immersion? Did you say.... Immmmmersion.

Nice.

1.4 MW fish tanks or the 240 kW ones?  Grin

Let us continue with what happens if you are very polite and patient for months waiting and waiting on Technobit and Marto74. How does one get treated? Do you get apologies and support? This customer was for months patient polite and gave Technobit every opportunity to rectify the situation properly but in the end it required aggressive and unrelenting badgering of Marto74 to get a resolution as a last resort.

The amount time and money that was wasted without any compensation is simply unacceptable. You do not have to buy from someone like this anymore so please everyone in the bitcoin community DO NOT BUY from TECHNOBIT.

Unfortunately he stumbled on Marto74's threads before all of the shit hit the fan in July 11, 2013, but soon there was plenty of evidence from the group buy to foreshadow what was going to happen here.

Just order 2 HEX16. First board with full chip & second board with only
4 chip  Wink

I was wondering if you should put in a comments box on the order
page for this. If you are intending to part populate boards?

Request for better book keeping so that you can see clearly what the GB chip dates are.

I would love more info on what is required for the chaining so I can order the
required connectors. Also a short guide on recompiling cgminer on minepeon

have we been somewhat overlooked.  Shocked I know this is now an obsolete product,

I completely understand the logistics is a nightmare.

A simple cut-off point would be good for the future.
xxxx more boards required before assembly run would
give customers an idea of where they stand, or some
indication of what batch there in with an estimate of
when the batch will hit production.

Just food for thought,

Happy New Year

Let all face a bit of reality.

Marto please confirm that are boards have NOT been produced yet.

Please confirm to the best of your knowledge when you expect production to take place.

Please be honest..

From here on out from January till the conclusion of this sorry tale SoutherngentUK acts in polite and concerned tones... please review what Marto74's does. It really is shocking how someone can turn it around and blame a customer like this who for over 4 months was polite and supportive of Marto74 and Technobit. When things go wrong... Marto74 fails to take responsibility, pay off his debts until you put a large amount of pressure on him to do what is required. Ethically he has not compulsion to do what is right and it is always the customer that has to drag him to the reality he is a worthless pos.

Follow along to the end. Same exact blame laid on the customer by Marto74 and it takes a concerted campaign to finally get Marto74 to pay his debt. This is just 2 such customers there are plenty more. Tune in tomorrow for another story.

Just arrived!!!

I finally got my boards, did not have enough time to test all, but what I can says for now is 3 boards consume around 400+ Watts  at 480mhz 1.45v and hash somewhere about 7ghash

I will post pictures and more info hopefully before monday.

Glad you got your order, mine is with speedy ( in sofia if u believe there tracking).

Did you get a ButterflyLabsTechnoBit  Mug with your order ?   Grin

I understand you frustration, but please do understand that all last hex16a (avalon1) orders were to be combined in 1 batch on PCB and PnP house.
It is not possible to be produced in batches of 2 or 7 or 15 pcs, or it is going to be too expensive.
On the side of customer support We have a lot to improve and We are going to.
Again We are sorry for the terrible customer service that We did or did not provide you.
We are thinking of some kind of present for all of you that will have orders shipped late.

We wish you Merry Christmas and happy new year

And please tell us how much you paid for transport Huh?
2 EUR for packing ,maybe ?

Surely you have access to your own website ? Do I get a Mug Now ?

"[T]he boards where not ready were they." - SoutherngentUK. This range of posts is important. Typically Marto74 after literally months of ignoring his customer turns back on that customer regarding his failure to send things properly. When in fact Marto74 never started the fabrication of boards as promised. Probably because it was unprofitable for him.

jammertr how long did you wait for the boards? ...if it was 3 months... i feel for you man Smiley

ordered on Sep 20th, chips sent on Sep 26th,  received Jan 21st.
Hi,
First sorry for the bad experience.
How did you sent the chips ?
What kind of transport did you choose with your order?

Why are you trying to turn this on us?

You had my chips*, and I payed for my shipping*, you expressed no problems on our part back in December or again in early January.

And I have not seen a post where you have said our orders are ready, get your shipping to collect.

It is not fair to blame us, even if some of us did not pay for shipping, the boards where not ready were they.

To imply that this is in some way the fault of your customers is damn insulting.

*It would appear that tracking by DHL does not work once packages get on Bulgarian soil, and you have ignored my requests to confirm that you where in receipt of the chips.

*At the time of my first order, I believed that you where looking for alternative shipping options as speedy was so costly, so I did not initially pay for shipping. I payed for shipping on my second order and asked you to combine shipping. I will pay you for any extra costs that you incur for this, once you send me a PM with the amount and a payment address (in BTC) as I promised to do so. In fact I insist on this. I am a man of my word and despite the poor service my honor is paramount.

NOW, would you please confirm that the correct documents have been issued as my tracking lists the parcel has not left there office in Sofia yet.

Just for Fun

Lets take the order date of Oct 17th and allow 4 weeks for delivery. December 17th

On December 17th Difficulty for my 28GH order was @ 908,350,862 and would earn 0.10851498 BTC a week

Today's Estimated Next Difficulty:    3,189,170,996 @ 95GH would earn 0.10486513 BTC a week

But hey wait, I don't have them yet do I !

I'm in the same order group as you if I'm not mistaken. This was sobering as I did the maths and Marto would owe me an additional 400ghz to to currently earn what I would have if he delivered within his 4 week window. I doubt there will be any type of customer care here, he already got what he came for. Even buying with paypal is a huge risk as seen by the Marto/btcminer84 fiasco.

Yeh, its quite some hit, I really think its time that some offer was made. However just getting the GH paid for, seems a huge issue at the moment.

Its a real shame as I believe they are good products and I think martin is really good at the technical aspects of his projects.

Unfortunately, I believe anyone making future purchases should seriously consider time dependent escrow arrangements.

Dear forum/thread members...

I have received a refund for my order (marto still has those now useless chips, my loss).

Four months has passed since the expected delivery date, therefore I do not in anyway feel satisfied.

This does however bring an element of closure so I can stop pestering in Marto's threads.

My apologies to all who have had to put up with my constant posts, I wish it could have been done in a different manner but when PM's are Ignored it leaves little options.

1344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: June 15, 2014, 11:32:08 AM
So the bitmine.ch board designs were used?

If that is the case that explains a lot given that there are several companies in the same sort of boat as AMT. The original designs from bitmine.ch from my understanding were pooched day one and a lot of rework was required on those designs that bitmine.ch provided along with the chips even though Bitmine.ch swore up and down they were working boards. Anyhow. The customers, AMT and IMET might want to get in the same room. Look for a sensible solution and this might be the end of the board woes for everyone but not the legal woes for AMT.

The thing is the issues in the other A1 cases were nothing like this. They had delays due to part issues sure...some had less than stellar performance...these were just flat out bursting into flames on quite a few levels. So even with IMET's explanation I remain a bit skeptical myself personally. The fact that boards sourced from other locations for other manufacturers work just fine but IMET's didn't is still kind of an oddity. If AMT had the designs from bitmine then they should have just worked just fine. Copy and duplicate. At least in theory. This is where things just dont add up when you look at the other issues with other manufactures.

Why not contact IMET to get their side of the story?

Yes that is a good idea. Customers should work together to get that done.

All I can speak to confidently is that the company I know of that had designs form bitmine.ch were pooched.

There are 2 or 3 revisions based on the original "prototype" direct from bitmine.ch. In fact Bitmine.ch told this company that they had given them the wrong schematic only after they had tried to make boards. It was a clusterfook of epic proportions and this company even suspected that bitmine.ch was purposefully attempting to give them bad designs in order to slow them down. I am getting all this information 2nd hand not that I was directly involved in that and it may or many not have anything to do with AMT. Just understand that there were a lot of crappy initial boards floating around and I am not sure what AMT started with but some of the activities of Bitmine.ch and innosilicon should be properly investigated. There was some pretty nasty subterfuge going on with the board design and chip licensing. The only person you could trust out of that whole fiasco and can still trust is Zefir. He might be the person you want to check what IMET has as well.

If you have chips your best bet is to go with the Chinese company making what is it the Dragon or whatever the A1 clones are they have it working. It is cheaper by far and you know you won't get screwed waiting for delivery. IMET seems to think they have a solution. Whether it is verified I can't say but at this juncture every minute you wait for a miner the more you lose. So not sure what is best for the customer but you should have multiple ways to get yourself made whole. Legally classaction is a good idea. Board wise try and verify what IMET is proposing with an independent EE that can sign an NDA with IMET and then move from there. I would also look into forced Chapter 11 along the lines what those people did with HASHFAST. There is really no excuse for not refunding or getting units to people other than you were not properly capitalized first as company.

So we left off with clear evidence that Marto74 still has a promise to refund BTC to a number of members of his group buy since September 2013. Now we will shift gears and have a deeper look into one customer and his complaints and final assessment of Marto74 / Technobit. This I would say is the model for most of what was going on in the October 2013 to February 2014 period and beyond where I suspect Marto74 / Technobit was either undercapitalized or had made some form of design / just in time parts ordering errors and chose to cover the fact with some pretty shifty games with delivery and delaying of refunds. This overlaps the group buy time frame and issues as well and funny haven't we seen him delay refunds before? Yes. Yes we have.

Order Placed November 10th, 2013

I actually have 2 orders placed... And 2 tracking numbers

When I check the speedy.bg site the order that said 'shipped'
first on the Technobit order has changed to:-

"canceled SYSTEM RETURN"  on speedy.bg tracking  Roll Eyes.

My order which said shipped a couple of days later has apparently
reached Germany according to tracking...

I PM'd Marto about what was happening regarding the order
that has canceled and he was going to look into this today - as yet no response.

I have left a few messages through the Technobit site but
I suspect these are not monitored as I have never had a
response via that route.

Fingers crossed on at least one order before Christmas...

Partial delivery of order December 5th, 2013

Code:
December 05, 2013, 22:20:17

One of my orders turned up yesterday  Smiley

DPD UK never had the tracking info for me... I used www.speedy.bg
as they hold the tracking numbers at the Bulgaria end -
there is a small link in the top right for the English version.

Melb

Next day...

Code:
2xHEX16A2 (one for a friend) and a few Nano's - ordered 10th November

I had a problem with the other order (on 13th) - this was returned 'canceled'...
Marto74 promised to UPS them to me (that was a couple of days ago)...
I think he must be very busy (best to PM him) - but he does eventually
deliver and as he is in the EU this saves the VAT hit of 20% + import
taxes here in the UK if we order from the US/outside of the EU.

Melb

Week rolls by... customer postulates that Marto74 cancelled the order. (Empty box?)

Code:
One week on - I am still waiting - given that UPS Express quote
1 day from Sofia to London I think it stands to reason that my order was
not sent out 4th December... But as I have not received an updated UPS
tracking number (as I have requested twice) then there is no way of knowing
what (if anything) is going on. I notice quite a few on another thread have
said that their orders have gone to the Speedy courier only to be 'canceled'
(system returned) a couple of days later. The people that have experienced
this seem to be Nanofury orders. The reality is that couriers do not 'cancel'
for no reason and I am cynically thinking that they have been in fact been
canceled by Technobit themselves to fulfill other orders. Of course I hope
to be wrong on this one but the fact is that whilst there is only black hole
(one way communications) with Technobit/Marto74 there is no way of knowing
what is going on. I have PM'd twice in the last few days and given up hoping to
get a response via the Technobit site. I will wait a couple more days and if
nothing it will be a strongly worded message requesting a refund. Failing this
it will of course be chargeback time.

Melb

Another week goes by... and then Technobit no longer accepts PayPal big WARNING SIGN to everyone in bitcointalk right?

Code:
+1 - my second order has not arrived still - Marto74 talks rubbish about
January delivery - now open when he has not even dealt with orders back to
October & November. He makes a big deal about not being a scammer - yet
does nothing to address his lack of communication. He says he will 'offer
refund in 5 minutes' - but actually the reality is that he ignores such requests.
PayPal offer a 45 day dispute window although I don't hold up much hope
here as he has obviously had his account suspended as Technobit no longer
accept PayPal. So the chargeback maybe the only route now. May not be out
and out scam as some products do drip feed their way out - but to place an
order without any credit card guarantees - forget it! You will regret it!

Melb

And here is the end of the things on December 16, 2013. You can see the pattern. Why would there be a CANCELLED shipment?
One could easily note that Marto74 probably shipped an empty box and then cancelled the order. There are more than a few cases
where Marto74's boxes seem to either go missing or are shipping delayed or lost. It is amazing.

Code:
So, after several messages Marto74 finally gave me a refund thus proving
that he had not shipped anything (as he had promised).

This is the manner in which he responded:-

"Dear MELvyn.B
Your first order with us was delivered, second one is now refunded.
We are not going to accept any orders from you in the future. Your account with us is disabled.

Best Martin"

I Don't think he need fear me pestering him with my custom again somehow...

Melb

And Marto74 naturally reacts to the customer who questions his truthfulness with anger and a good helping of fuck you customer. Marto74 seems to behave as if he has some sort affliction something akin Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It fits and I have personally seen PM's and posts that certainly attest to the fact Marto74 has a psychotic disproportionate response to polite suggestions that he work on his customer relationship management. He loves to threaten to end you in no uncertain terms. Beware he is certainly unstable and will go to any lengths to maintain his perception of his world view, seriously he is such a great guy <sarcasm implied>.

Narcissistic people operate from an image they hold
of themselves in their mind. They do not operate from the reality
of feelings in their body. This does not mean they do not feel. It
means their feelings are generated by what they believe about
themselves and others in their head. They do not “test” these
beliefs through “real” interactions with people.

Because they froze the ability to feel at a young age, they never
have the opportunity to correct the picture they hold of themselves
in their mind. We all hold pictures of ourselves in our head. We
are willing or desire to change these pictures of ourselves on the
basis of feedback from others and through an accurate assessment
of who we are.

When the narcissist is confronted with a reality of who they are and
that differs from their mental picture, they discount the information.
If the information persists or gets stronger they will rage at the
information or the informer.

Because they are frozen inside, they have to cling to the image
they hold. If you try to go in deeper, you will discover that there
is no depth to the person. The narcissist knows that and will
prevent you from going beneath the surface at all costs. Any
penetration of the surface reveals the emptiness they experience
from within.

Let us let Melb summarize here:

Quote

My situation was a little different.

I placed my first order on 10th November - and this was delivered a little
late but that was ok as I was being kept updated by the general released
email to everyone on the Technobit list. I was happy to wait and the goods
came through especially as I could see the tracking information showing
progress.

The goods were well built and performance good for the price.

My second order I placed 3 days after the first (I took a gamble) - I ordered
some more Nanofuries and purchased a couple of 10 way hubs (now redundant)
to run them. When the status first changed to 'shipped' there was a tracking
number and when I typed this is it said 'canceled' 'system return'... Now,
that is a perfectly valid reason for me wanting to know what was going on...
So I didn't post on the open forum I PM'd Marto... He replied (the last I had)
that the boards were returned for unknown reason and that he would send them
out UPS Express the next day at his expense. The next day was 4th December
- after a couplle of days I PM'd requesting a new UPS tracking number.
I followed this up over the next few days with requests to be told what was
going on etc - these were to threads that Marto views as well as PM's.

This was not a situation of just waiting because I am pretty sure that waiting
for my elusive package would have resulted in the expiry of Paypal dispute
time and ultimately the expiry of chargeback time and I would then still have
no goods... Given that Marto had said that he was going to UPS Express them
to me - I took that word on trust - he betrayed that trust and that is something
you should not do for customers you wish to keep. Of course BFL are just as
bad but comparing another bad example does not make the Technobit situation
right!

With the nature of mining hardware speed is of the essence and of course
delays cost money... Everyone knows the Terrahash units are going to appear
early in the new year - when these appear 24GH/s / 40GH/s boards will become
extremely diluted in the pool with those big boys and revenue from these will
plummet. So at this stage of the game even a small delay could mean the
difference between profit and loss from mining. Which is exactly why 'In Hand'
stuff on Ebay does fetch a premium because it is a known quantity which
removes some of the gamble.

I don't feel as though I have done anything wrong by requesting a refund as
Marto/Technobit could not provide me with some communication as to what
was happening to my apparently 'shipped' order. I wasn't waiting for it to be
built according to our previous communications (when they existed).

I see possible evidence here on these pages that suggests he has ripped
people off (but to be fair I can only judge by the postings here) - at the same
time I know from personal experience he can deliver the goods and they are of
good quality. But I would ask one question to those now waiting....

Do you not think it a little odd that Marto is happy to promote January
shipping orders and working hard to ship December orders - at the same
time as blatantly ignoring those waiting for information about undelivered
October and November orders? That to me has alarm bells ringing! I hope
I am wrong - but I have been in this same situation before
(not with Technobit or Marto) where the continuation of the business
and the fulfillment of old orders relied on the ever increasing generation
of new orders - in other words in my previous situation it was a ponzi...
Those in at the right time profited but when it collapsed I was one of the
many that lost out. This is bearing all the wrong hallmarks of a sustainable
business. I hope for all those waiting and even for Marto himself that he
does change his business ethics... Some words of wisdom for Marto himself -
if you have a rapidly expanding business you have to build the structure
at the same time as that acts as the skeleton (pillars) that holds your
business together - this is standard business knowledge to anyone
that has successfully grown their own business and widely taught in
business schools/colleges.

Melb

Has Marto74 changed his ways? Does it really matter? If you are going to risk thousands of dollars with a business that acts in this manner in the past when things get really tough or tight what do you think they are going to do? Are they going to make the customer whole? Are they going to do what is ethically and legally required? Are they going to communicate clearly about delays? Are they going to fly off the handle because of a personality disorder?

Remember this is just one case. More to come tomorrow. If you were buggered badly by Marto74 and want your story to be highlighted in this way just PM me and I go through all the board posts and layout the history of how you get fucked over by Marto74. I would really like to get a sense of what losses people incurred as result of these false deliveries and subsequent months of waiting for units that were never even built by Marto74. Given just the last few days of delving into this there are plenty of victims here and it would even be worthy of class action given the lengths Marto74 went to delay refunds just in the few forum reference searches I have done.

This problem is far more worse than just a few angry people not getting units there is a systematic attempt to delay and misdirect and lie to customers about the nature of the products being in stock covering up the fact that many of the boards being sold were pre-orders. Let me see how many of these complaints pan out in this way but you have to know that dealing with a company like this is just not safe given the lengths they go to hide what they are really up to. I would recommend no one order at all from Technobit until they make good on refunds and reimbursements should there be outstanding complaints.
1348  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: June 15, 2014, 05:26:45 AM

I have two 600GH Monarch orders which I upgraded to Imperials, one from 23rd August and one from 3rd November. At the time it seemed like a good idea, but with the continued delays I've decided to request a refund. I'm still eligible right?, even though I elected to upgrade to the Imperials?

No intention to spread fud as Spondoolies delivers hq hardware and has the best customer support I'm aware of.

They were very fast with shipping in the past, so I was a little confused about the fact that some miners will be shipped more than one week after this date. If it has been communicated clearly, ok fine, I missed that part - sorry and thanks for pointing out.

All "immediate shipping" paid miners were shipped.
We've started to ship "Mid June" batch and will do so continuously until the end of the month.
No delays.

Do you guys ever take a breath? Wow... that is good news... hope to hear the August call for SP30s in the same clear voice. NO DELAYS!

1354  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: June 14, 2014, 10:47:51 AM
Wow, that is interesting.

Customers could have a solution. Can the customers get an idea of the required costs for "repair"?

The customer came in with a half built unit with 5 hash boards installed.  He received the unit earlier in the day (just about 4 weeks ago or so) and brought it to IMET.  We did not try to power the unit. Instead, we took it all apart and tested one hash board at a time.  2 of the 5 hash boards received worked.  I showed the customer how to test hash boards and gave him a rack of hash boards right from our stock that were never delivered to AMT.  He went through the whole rack and saw 100% yield.  I gave him 3 working hash boards, and we spent 3 weeks working the pieces of the design that were flawed.  We never laid a soldering iron on the PCBs.  They worked fine out of the gate.

In the 3 weeks that we were working on the system, there were no problems with the electronics.  That particular unit has much more than 4 days on it.  At this point, I suspect, it has closer to 10 days as we were running prior to making it available online.  I have a machine shop making parts for us now as we are duplicating to get the rest of what we have here running.  Unfortunately, it is not much.  My hope is that AMT will come through with payment.  If not, I'll see what I can whittle away from their bill using other means.

Could you explain in some more details of what this customer needed to do to fix the flaws in the design?

Are these software fixes?
Are these how the heat sinks are mounted on the board?

I am not sure how to handle this, and I am looking for suggestions.  All I ever wanted was for AMT to pay for services rendered.  I thought that doing this work would create that effect, but based on AMT feedback, this is not likely.  I have put my time and thousands more into the project to get to this point.  I know that the AMT customer I worked with is happy at this point (the unit you see is mining into his wallet), but just like everyone else, I want to be whole.  We are pushing 30 employees that need to get paid on a bi-weekly basis.  I am afraid that if I just release the design, then I will never be made whole.  I am looking for any and all suggestions.

I am definitely a bit confused here.  I had thought that there were no changes on the PCB,  so the only possible changes are software fixes or changes in how the heat sink was mounted.

Anyway,  based on our records, only 11 miners were shipped.   As I understand, IMET shipped around 300 boards, equivalent to 60 miners.  The whereabouts of those remaining miners is unknown at this point and is anybody's guess as to weather these are used for mining or not.  So I am not sure who would benefit from this new information.

I can confirm that there are no changes to the PCBs.  I also do not know what AMT shipped.  I do know that AMT has the bulk of the boards in their possession.  With the work that I have done, they could put together units that work and would last.  As mentioned, I would need to be made whole by AMT to share the info with AMT but I don't think that AMT is interested based on our last communication.

It is still going on... believe it or not Marto74 has yet to refund those people the fees as he promised back in September 2013. Sad. But he owes people BTC so all you can say realistically is he is a crook. At what point do people wake up and smell the coffee about this low life and stop doing business with him? You don't get to ignore the people you ripped off Marto74 because they complain. You need to fulfill your promises.

Tune in tomorrow as we delve deeper into late delivery and other "mishaps" from Technobit and show how this pattern of disregard for customers is really based on Marto74's failures to make his customers whole. It baffles the mind that people continue to do business with this guy given his behaviour.
