1)   I get disconnected sometimes on my PC w/ethernet to a nice & fast, USA metropolitan area internet.  ST6 is working hard on this issue.  This is a big part of server-side improvements that are ongoing.

2)  20 Chip 1k GTD! that has been growing in popularity pops off in ~9 minutes

3) The BIG BTC, largest bitcoin poker tournament each week with 10 bitcoins guaranteed pops off in ~2h9m

4) Anyone wishing to join the affiliate program hit me up micon@sealswithclubs.eu

I wouldn't doubt that Coinbase just put that rule in place so they could lock people's accounts to gain more Bitcoin. It probably has more to do with making money than it has to do with actually gambling with Bitcoins.

I don't think they are seizing funds, just refusing to do business with the person, and if I'm not mistaken asking them to withdraw their bitcoin.

IMO not a money-grab by Coinbase, simply their directors following the advice of their lawyers.

Whoa, coinbase is joing the USA federales in trying to oppress gambling?  What's up with that?

Their site, their ToS, their rules.

While this news is sad to me, it's not something to complain about IMO.  there exist many other ways to buy and sell btc for fiat, and while they were becoming popular, Coinbase or any one method of exchange restricting gambling should not rustle the feathers too badly.

While I can't help but ponder what Coinbase considers "gambling" or how easy it would be to mask what you are doing with your bitcoin, I would not try to deceive them & their ToS, as it seems that would put funds at risk.

An every-changing landscape no doubt, Bitcoin ATMs & Mycellium local feature are likely the big winner in this.

Micon, cut out the middle man and switch from btc to Monero.  Enough of this public btc blockchain.

The withdrawal has still not gone through. I contacted support last Sunday and got this response:

4 days after receiving this email and the withdrawal has still not gone through. Support is now not responding to emails.

ST6 says the withdraw went out yesterday.

In rather sad news, multiple users are reporting Coinbase account suspensions due to gambling activity:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2e2yxr/beware_coinbase_is_banning_accounts_that_play_on/

http://www.reddit.com/r/poker/comments/2dxuqw/be_careful_seals_users_coinbase_has_blocked_me/

so with that known, I'm no longer recommending Coinbase as an exchange and would encourage others to use extreme caution.

1)  IMO don't sell your account.  We are going to clarify the position on it soon.  It's becoming somewhat problematic and we are aware of it.

2)  BIG BTC in about 1 hr!

Uh oh, I see Micon has been updated to Legendary. $10 says there is a new category on Seals in a few weeks.......Legendary haha

ha never seen that before did they just make that?

Someone *may* have seen me rock the mic to "Bitcoin Baron" with YTCracker on stage at Defcon this year...

I can't think of anything else I have done recently that would have impressed a mod here Smiley

thanks to whoever gave it, I'll fly the flag with pride.

Does someone *maybe* have a video of this?

*maybe*

but standard Defcon rules apply Smiley

I think they mentioned that while originally it was Poker Mavens, their code is very different now. Or completely different. Or rewritten from scratch. I don't really know, only the devs can answer that for sure.

It's best to think of SwC as having started with Mavens then being so heavily modified that's it's now it's own thing.  So much work being done each day on server-side improvements, it's belittling to call SwC anything but a very complex software project.  "Mavens" is certainly no longer appropriate, although I too still get some error messages with that legacy reference Smiley

Legendary is a brand new title, I guess there were too many heroes.  The following was written by theymos.

To make things more fun, the Legendary membergroup has no universal activity requirement. You are guaranteed to become Legendary somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity, but the exact point in this range at which you become Legendary is random per user.

damn thought I was special snowflake.

Just made an account on this forum, hoping to give just some small feedback Smiley. First of all I'd like to mention that I've been a reg on Seals for quite some time, and so far I love playing on Seals. There was just one small recomendation I had which was to reduce the SealsDeals Bounty from a 30 chip buyin to something more reasonable, such as 15 chips (Maybe 10+4+1). I think a lot more players would play, and that spot would be filled up in the schedule.

Also, Micon, I'm not sure if you saw the video I posted in chat, but theres a video of you on youtube @ 5/10. I'm guesing the person who recoreded the video had no idea who you were as they called you a "hippie" in the description.

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0ycbCeC27M

1)  tyvm for the feedback.  "Glitch" is the SwC assistant tournament director, and he regularly monitors this thread and others, then we meet once a week to discuss MTT schedule changes.  The process has given players like yourself proper input - while that doesn't mean I'll always agree with you, it does mean I hear you.

2) lol @ that video, i have no clue why there is 10k+ views on it, and I do remember who was in that seat during that night.  It was Aria, maybe ~3 or 4 yrs ago, for a period of 2 weeks I went there every night because there was these totally insane No Limit games built around this crazy Asian chick and this multi millionaire wire-$500k-to-the-cage type of guy that was up or down $50k or $100k in every 1 hour session of blackjack he put in, then came to poker for 3 hours to drink and cool off while blowing like $10k at 5-10.  One night he won ~$300k in the pits and dumped prolly ~$130k of it back to the poker players at 5-10, then no limit triple draw, it got out of control.  I remember winning about ~$8k total over the period of time, I played pretty tight and flopped middle set and bet all the chips in that video-hand.  Wish I still had my "hippy" hat - and totally fine with being referred to as "younger hippy guy" in my mid-30's Smiley
399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Tony Stewart... Was that on purpose? Will he be charged? BET IT NOW on: August 11, 2014, 06:49:53 PM
That is fucked up.... Who would gamble on a mans future. If you watch the videos he didn't do it on purpose. This shouldn't be allowed to be posted.

waaaaaa!  I don't like someone betting on something they cannot control!

Take it to the school board meeting, Alice.

I would totally bet on this.  IMO prediction markets are cool, and likely beatable.  I have never heard of Betmoose so I'll start keeping that on my radar, right now the only statement site I would fire on is bitbet.us as they have the longest history of paying out.  I would avoid betsofbitco.in at all costs.

IMO that engine noise revving right before + Tony's history of temper and driver-fighting is not going to play well for him.  That being said a 20 yr old kid is putting himself in danger running towards a fast-moving racecar, so that's clearly not smart.  IMO Tony says "I was gunning the engine to avoid him" and then it's up to the lawyers, judge, and all the other back-door fun stuff.  Tony is pretty wealthy, but man it looked like he was trying to intimidate the kid with that engine rev... damn... gonna be a close one Smiley
