ST6 is doing good work IMO.

We are still fighting the attack.

Freemoney with the aid of some outside help (thanks guys, you know who you are) is working like a boss on this with all available resources and polling for more.

We may be a small team, but we have so much determination.  We will keep fighting through this attack and will keep updating.

Don't wait, while the site is down you are losing money and reputation!

We have a lot of zombie pc's arround the world atacking your website

Greetings from Russia

we will pay no ransom and will consider this a security stress test.  We are working as hard as we can and welcome any opinions or help.

1346  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 25, 2013, 02:55:16 AM
Done. I sent 10 BTC (exactly 10.00003615 BTC) to http://blockchain.info/address/1Btxe5E8E4jCWfDhQMr683sVYnLgNLbA9z

10.00004200 sent to it from this end just now.

been busy with SealsWithClubs making Forbes as well as another gambling-facing project.   I know you want to go bigger, so let me research the actual terms of our wager (I'm firing relatively blind when it comes to the technical side, so let me shore that up first)

also I haven't asked any of my extremely rich did-way-better-than-me-at-poker friends if they want $ on my side of this bet.  I'll link them to this thread and see if they want action.
1347  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 24, 2013, 10:13:16 PM
Thanks Micon.

I confirm that with your code B, I was able to collect my fund using casascius' app, and was able to import the private key using the "bitcoind importprivkey" CLI. I moved the 0.001 BTC out of the address to prove it: http://blockchain.info/address/1JUsk88BGbZbRs3R3JoKxeR4Mc9sxf74kQ I now have full confidence in casascius' escrow system Smiley

Are you able to do the same and collect the 0.002 BTC of our 2nd test: http://blockchain.info/address/1JhXYPL22cZF3q9iXqKRz5iPfFarDH9DNm ?

was able to generate the private key for this.  I'm using the latest satoshi wallet trying to import the private key using this method:  https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys_v7%2B

pretty sure this is gonna work.  I am not sure how much more I want to fire yet - but we can just keep adding to our "real" bet's address?  i.e. you and I both keep shipping more coins to [[ 1Btxe5E8E4jCWfDhQMr683sVYnLgNLbA9z  ]]  instead of making new escrow invites?

I could do 10 more coins ASAP if you'd like.  Then SgtSpike doesn't have more action than you Smiley

1348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino! New name, new game! Blackjack is here! [UPDATED 1/24/2013] on: January 24, 2013, 09:19:28 PM
During auto-play, if the correct play is to double, but I don't have enough chips to double, the deposit pop-up keeps appearing and disappearing over and over.

it also did this when you busted your roll in auto-play mode and had it cranked to max bet but only had like 4 credits left

(i.e. I don't win the royal flush every time I set it to auto-play and go to bed)

Micon, let's assume you win the coin flip - I already PM'd you my escrow code "A" - so go ahead and claim the 0.002 BTC Smiley

Also, can you PM me your escrow code "B" so I can attempt to get my 0.001 BTC back for the first test?

yes i'll ship you all that right now.  i think the fee for .001 send was .001 lol
1351  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 24, 2013, 02:25:54 AM
1)  I saw the space, eliminated it each time, still never worked always game same error

2)  but I was able to use that invite code to generate the piece that mrb used and now I too have hit this hash:  1JhXYPL22cZF3q9iXqKRz5iPfFarDH9DNm  with .001

C   --  flip coin / award this one?  see it work for real 1st time so I feel better about the 60 coins hanging in the system Smiley ?

Micon: then create the payment invitation, and send it to me.

that worked, sent you payment invite + what address it calc'd for me
1354  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 23, 2013, 07:25:20 PM
And we have a bet!

https://blockchain.info/address/1B3EAGAgXoALFd6o9762hitoCyH61JxF4Y

No, actually, sounds like a major hole. This needs to be addressed somehow (not necessarily for the case at hand, but in general for the system).

Also the idea of relying on MtGox breaking their customer's confidentiality is bad. I know MtGox used to do this in the past, but since MPEx introduced standards for such that sort of shit doesn't seem to fly so well anymore in the public eye either. Frankly, I doubt they'd tell you, and if they did tell you they'd just be stupidly allowing you to rehash the ver-blockchain.info experiment.

You taking "as long as necessary" is yet another hole. The average person using escrow for any purpose is not interested in adding unspecified delays to their process.
Doesn't sound like a big deal to me.  I'm not worried about it.

indeed!  very cool to be apart of the escrow use win or lose IMO
1355  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 23, 2013, 01:02:14 PM
Ok, I get Bitcoin address 1B3EAGAgXoALFd6o9762hitoCyH61JxF4Y.

What do I do with the payment invitation I generate?

Send it to Micon with the address and make sure he confirms he gets the same bitcoin address.

If you both agree you're seeing the same address, proceed to fund it.

1)   getting the same address as SgtSpike and about to fire 20 coins at it

2)  the .001 btc test-coin-flip with mrb I keep getting "not a valid payment invitation code" and I did see the space that copy/paste from btctalk makes.

1356  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 23, 2013, 12:57:59 PM
I have gone ahead and emailed SgtSpike and Micon a set of codes.

One feature I feel worth pointing out:  besides the codes starting with "einva", "einvb", or "einvp", I have made it so the following 5 characters are random but identical for a matched set.

I sent SgtSpike a code starting with einvaPoHB4
I sent Micon a code starting with einvbPoHB4
When they generate a payment invitation, it will start with einvbPoHB4
Notice PoHB4 is in all of them...this is deliberate, just so you have a quick visual way to see whether codes are part of a matched set.
Each time the Escrow Agent generates a new pair of invitation codes, these 5 characters are shuffled to something random.
In Dooglus's example above, they were T9CMj.
Ok, I get Bitcoin address 1B3EAGAgXoALFd6o9762hitoCyH61JxF4Y.

What do I do with the payment invitation I generate?

1B3EAGAgXoALFd6o9762hitoCyH61JxF4Y

got that with your payment invite.  copied that shit in a secure location.

I'll hit it with 20 coins right now and hope that everything works out.   Seems like the most logical plan.
1357  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 22, 2013, 11:13:54 PM
I must have miscopied smthg. Will check things in 3h when I get home.

1)  seems like it was C's invite code that was wrong, not the 1 you generated

2)  It's cool, I have errands to run and will be back on in a few hrs too.  no rush, but I'm excited to test it too Smiley
1358  Economy / Gambling / Re: 20 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 22, 2013, 09:55:35 PM
I sent a PM with an escrow invitation code to both Micon and mrb for a coin flip.

Micon, I PM'd you a payment invitation for this test -- the address is below and I already sent 0.001 BTC to it:
http://blockchain.info/address/1JUsk88BGbZbRs3R3JoKxeR4Mc9sxf74kQ

kk checking / will fire .001 at it if it comes up same

edit:  not a valid escrow invitation code.  C was off by 1 extra character in that long string the 1st time, maybe it happened again.  I tried it 3x.

1359  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 22, 2013, 09:55:02 PM
Casascius - can you generate an escrow invitation for Micon and I on this bet?

If I'm to generate a code for a real money bet, I would prefer to use e-mail and/or PGP wherever it isn't too inconvenient, so perhaps you can PM me your e-mail address or a link to your PGP key if you're able to decrypt it.  (I just don't want all the escrow details to be in plaintext in the forum database where others can see it)

oh certainly send both parts of the invites off-bitcointalk in some fashion.   I'm fine with a plain-text email from you on this 1 C

and again, TYTYTYTYTYTY for making this system casascius.

also tytytytyty to dooglus for an explanation of C's system that is concise & accurate.
1360  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 22, 2013, 09:49:17 PM
doing the codes in image form now - some of those redemptions are just too fast Smiley smart fucking kids these days Smiley
Unless you randomize the background image, it will be very easy to mask it and use OCR to extract the codes.

I plan on getting sick with it.

Some on image, have to hack last character, some audio / some video / some on reddit / some needs to put into Cassicuis' key generator or something after you collect 2/3 parts....  all that fun stuff.

just getting started Smiley
