Bryan, although some may admire your efforts, it's your tone that's overshadowing your intent. At one time I, too, fell into a similar trap of which other members here can confirm. I suggest scaling back a tad, holding the vile until if BFL fails, then attack with everything you have. Many would surely join your choir then if such an event transpires.

As far as the implications go pertaining to the mods/admins being part of some conspiracy, I believe that is why theymos' girlfriend left him and started dating Yankee.  Grin

I have no qualms with you, and never reported you for anything, nor spoke ill of you to anybody.

Just my two bits worth, bud.

~Bruno K~

1)  You say nothing to the plain evidence of Inaba blatantly trolling me in betting threads

2)  I understand you wish to remain a "moderate" and "not make trouble" but you plainly see my posts deleted in the main BFL thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=87934.0  which I believe deserves exactly 1 post stating my thoughts and linking to my research.  I am not "trolling" - that is defined as repeated postings unrelated to the subject matter.  My scammer investigation thread of BFL is most certainly relevant.  I don't wish to scream it over and over - it deserves to be in the BFL thread exactly one time.   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=136392.0  it's ~5k views certainly give this merit.

1306  Economy / Gambling / Re: 80 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: February 02, 2013, 08:25:02 AM
I don't see why this has to be a pissing war about the amount being bet. I don't know how many times I've read that Bryan has a new born kid, and I get that, why can't you guys? Yes he's putting his money where his mouth is, he just doesn't have the same (potentially) disposable income. Even if he is strong in his beliefs, he has a wife and a kid that depend on him - nobody should be persuading him to bet more than he is comfortable with.

Either way someone is going to win and someone is going to lose. The amount doesn't really matter that much. Any fool can have more money than another.

When delimited in USD, I have about $1,200 riding on BFL being a scam.  I'd say that qualifies as putting your money where your mouth is.

These latest Inaba troll-posts in this thread are so desperate and childish they don't deserve a response.  On the heels of Avalon ASICs beginning to hash, this is where he spends his time? It's shocking that the mods silenced me for being "off topic" when posting my BFL scammer investigation link in the BFL thread (before they slit it off and called it a "troll museum," yet they let Inaba troll me with repeated personal insults without consequence.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=139234.0

It goes without saying that a pro gambler bets what he is comfortable betting.  (you needn't worry about persuasion to get me to bet more than I'm comfortable betting - I've been doing this for a decade) For me right now I'm comfortable with 60 coins or about ~$1200 in USD wagered on this.  I am not opposed to raising the stakes at a future point as I research further.

I have to personally thank mrb for setting a fine example when betting someone with the opposite viewpoint.   He has been respectful in all his posts and win or lose I enjoy the way he has done business.

1307  Other / Meta / Re: Private msg from mod "gmaxwell" asking me to stop my BFL hostile tone on: February 02, 2013, 08:13:13 AM
This is just getting a little absurd.  I feel like I'm on that Joe Schmoe reality show where everyone is in on it but me:

Inaba is trolling my | mrb | sgtspike's betting thread again:

Micon will never bet any real money on this.  His whole game is attention whoring, not any sort of real investigation.  He knows BFL isnt' a scam and he knows he's going to lose a bet.  But a few bucks here and there are a cheap price to pay for attention.  If he truly thought BFL was a scam and he was so sure of it like he claims to be, betting 1000 BTC would be a no brainer.  He's just lying white trash vying for attention.  His claims of "Down voting bots" and some sort of concerted effort by BFL to silence him (in conjunction with Bitcoin talk staff) are evidence of his delusions.  I honestly haven't given him a second thought since CES and certainly haven't wasted any of my time on organizing some byzantine effort to squash his ludicrous rhetoric.  Bryan Micon is a homophobic, racist attention whore... does ANYONE really need to spend time on him?  Hardly.

Good luck getting him to bet 1000 BTC MRB... he's a proven liar.  If he were sure, he'd jump at the chance.  The fact that he hasn't just proves knows he's dug himself into a hole he can't get out of gracefully.

and

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135914.msg1497174#msg1497174

It does matter when you are crying about something being a scam and that you are 100% sure of it.  If you are 100% sure of it, it's not a bet, it's a sure thing.  Therefore it's illogical and patently ridiculous for a self professed "professional poker player" to not go "all in" when you have the nuts for that hand.  Bryan is claiming he has the a royal flush and that BFL is, without a doubt, a scam.  Ergo, people are calling his bluff and going all in for 1000 BTC and Bryan is refusing.  It means he's a liar, plain and simple (Why he's lying is speculation, but attention whoring is a likely explanation.  Stupidity is another one).  But like I said, we already knew Bryan Micon is a white trash homophobic, anti-semite, so being a liar is probably the least of his character flaws.

This isn't brought on my be trolling his threads or launching similar venomous posts laced with personal insults - this is Josh Zerlan believing he has run of the forums.  When his BFL thread gets hot as Avalon releases the first ASICs, the thread is split and the skeptics are called trolls.  The mods rename most of the thread the "trolling museum" or some such nonsense.

It doesn't get more black and white than these latest posts.  What should I do?  just allow this guy to troll me in every thread, always fearful my responses will be labeled as "off topic" while his clearly childish posts are left to stand?

Paging Jgarzik.  Party of one.  Jgarzik, party of 1!  Your seat at the ASIC table is ready.  JGarzik, party of 1!

I think this is one dinner you'll be happy to eat alone. Smiley

I'm sure the fair and balanced mods will be all over this one and warn him for trolling.  Disgusting coming from a guy claiming to be CEO of a company holding millions of community coin and dollars.  And also more importantly taking away from the real discussion that is the dawn of the ASIC age of bitcoin mining, something Jeff Garzik is sure to be instrumental in the ushering in process, which he has done like a boss:

Here is a general thread for owners of Avalon ASICs.

This is the review I posted: http://garzikrants.blogspot.com/2013/01/avalon-asic-miner-review.html

The restart issues mentioned appear to be have subsided (knock on wood) since I laid the unit down, and adjusted some air flow issues in my office.

Damn fine work Jeff.  [and separately, bitcoin foundation]  This important technology is best put first in the hands of the good guys.

Do not let any drama derail your important work as the Avalon ASICs come online all over the world, further securing the network as long as too many of them don't work band together with a pool of FPGAs and work for evil.
1310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They are real: The Bitcoin Foundation Opens Up Avalon’s First ASIC on: February 01, 2013, 05:15:18 PM
1)

2) Yifu you are such a boss.  I can feel the "no way we will let 1 company produce all the ASICs and possible damage the network" ethos as I read back to the start of this process.  I wonder if you thought you'd win the race when you started, or just assumed you would be there soon after.  Either way, bravo, amazing job, keep shipping them and I can't wait for the entire batch to be rec'd and we all watch the bitcoin network grow stronger.

1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: 40 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 28, 2013, 10:41:13 PM
Micon,

I don't know what can be simplified in the terms of our wager. There is a date, and a basic Mhash/Joule efficiency metric whose only purpose is to differentiate ASICs from other technologies. What do you want to research exactly, in order to bet more? If you have questions, let me know.

mrb,

apologies.  I have a newborn child + Seals got DDoS'd in the last 2 days.

I will increase our wager by 20 coins.  I like going slow.  That's how I gamble.  I will hit the hash if you agree.  Same bet / same terms / same hash / 20 coins more.
1314  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 28, 2013, 07:57:39 AM
Can you say how user funds are deposited, stored, and withdrawn at seals?  I'm not sure if I should be withdrawing every session or if it's ok to leave coins on there.

Just downloaded android app and it logged me out of my desktop client when I signed in, in the middle of a hand lol.

This is a good question and something very important from a player standpoint.

1)  SwC does not disclose exactly how we store our coins in our cold wallet.   Freemoney can make a further statement on this matter if he wishes, but that is our company policy for obvious security reasons.

2)  After 1.5+ years of operation, we have never had an incident.  That being said, I know many players that deposit each session, play, then withdraw after they are done.  They usually go to sleep and wake up with confirmed coins in whatever wallet on whatever device or service they choose to use.  This is the least amount of trust you have to have in SwC and still play, and it is no problem from our perspective as we have paid around $30 total in btc transaction fees in those 1.5 years.  Fire coins on or off at will.
1315  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 27, 2013, 11:31:13 PM
Site is down again... pesky little buggers.
I can see that the poker script is hosted elsewhere , I'm in a freeroll right now Cheesy. Wish me luck!

seems fine for me, 180 connected and tourneys + many cash tables running.
1316  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs Android App | Public Beta Open | [It's pretty awesome] on: January 27, 2013, 08:34:43 PM
Cool!

All it needs is tournament support, then I can finally get rid of my computer once and for all.

Also, don't know if you guys know about this, but Seals works 100% on the iPad, a friend had a browser installed on his that supported flash & it seemed to work perfectly (I forget the name). A quick Google also brang me to a forum where the lead developer for Poker Mavens confirmed that it does work with very little bugs.

no kidding.... I have been team-viewering in from my ipad this whole time.  Luckily I recently shed the shackles of iOS and went to android phone + tablets.  Seems like even this Note 2  couldn't run Seals naitive, even after some flash support downloads for Jellybean.   Totally going to try and flash-up my old ipad1 just to see if it works.

IMO the android app sorts the lobby better than the website.  "tables with players only" FTW.  any issues anyone finds with this please post in this thread, and if you are a hardcore dev guy with a debugging fetish msg me to get added to the issue-reporting group.

1317  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 27, 2013, 07:45:03 PM
I really don't want to tell you this, but yeah, putting a QR code in the image makes it INSANELY easy to bot, much much easier than if it was just text.

I know I grabbed the last one (I promise I didn't bot it), but I could hack together a bot to grab them very easily.

I'd switch them back to text, and maybe add a captcha to the redeem code section on Seals?

tyvm.  i'll start getting more creative.  Multiple channels over image / qr code and handwritten text + the last 3 characters I speak on a youtube or something.

btw, the Android app is also launched for public beta:

1)  Ty to those of you with your eyes open.   BFL (and it appears even some mods on these boards) will try and silence and de-value what they can.  Of course a Micon-discredit campaign is what they will try in all forms.  It is hard to imagine for those of you "in the middle" on this one how evil of an organization BFL is.  to think "they wouldn't have multiple forum accounts report your posts" or "they would never downvote a reddit" is naive at this point.

2)  BFL has of course ordered Josh to order the next round of BitcoinTalk blatently false advertising saying "xxx Gh/s for $x,xxx" which is just false at this stage of the game.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137470.0
