381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (IMO) they are not worth the same... on: March 26, 2024, 09:30:48 AM
It's never going to be worth the same as one bitcoin if you create a physical one unless of course, that coin is really a wallet and it's got a bitcoin in it and you can store it there then yes a physical bitcoin can be of equal value to a bitcoin although it's just a pseudo value since it's just a wallet that made to look like a coin. I don't get what point you're trying to deliver to us OP but bitcoin can never be replicated so if by some miracle that someone made a physical bitcoin, it's going to be a fork since the supply of bitcoin is fixed, meaning that it's just another bitcoin copy that's trying to capitalize on bitcoin's fame, that's all there is to it.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: March 26, 2024, 08:40:10 AM
For me, I think that I've got an end goal within me, no way that it's going to hold on for dear life for me forever, going to be really helpful to me if I can get my profits, the money that I can get from it would definitely build myself a home and all the things that I've been holding back through discipline of not buying them will definitely be bought after a long time. Of course, hodling long-term is still a thing for me but I'm not going to be all that, just set a price goal and you'd be good to go when it comes to investing in bitcoin, you might also be able to do other things when you're not just hodling alone, who knows, you might invest during the altcoin season and hit the jackpot.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: March 26, 2024, 07:26:09 AM
While Bitcoin is undoubtedly a solid investment choice for long-term holding, have you considered diversifying your portfolio with BNQ tokens from BitNasdaq? Check it out.
Don't do shilling here my guy, that's not the way we discuss things here. You could've ended with the recommendation of diversification but you added a token and that's not going to site well with a lot of people in this forum. Also, I don't recommend diversification when you don't have a lot of bitcoin since bitcoin's got more potential profit for you in the long-term, it's best to stick with it while you don't have a lot of money to invest yet. But if you've got the money to do diversification then by all means do it, you've got more excess than you should've and that's okay to do.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank - Safely store your bitcoin on: March 26, 2024, 06:32:42 AM
No one in here would take on your offer, that's a bad idea anyway. Look at all the people that have bitcoin, they all have been storing their bitcoins in their own wallets and they don't even need to pay for it or anything like that, just need that they've got their attention to it, not click on suspicious links and be vigilant about their activities online and that they don't forget the seed phrase and they'd be good to go.

This idea is also the antithesis to what bitcoin is, a way to get away from banks, how can we get away from banks if we become banks ourselves?
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 26, 2024, 05:16:09 AM
I don't think it will, the number of people that are betting and a sports fan isn't a lot anyway, there's still more people that are just a fan and would want to just watch, the gambling industry would definitely suffer but it's not worth a lot and they'd probably regain their losses as there's no sportsbetting anymore, people that have been addicted to betting would find other ways to gamble, they're going to need that fix really soon and I don't think that they're going to stop just because betting's gone, they would find other ways to gamble and the gambling industry would be back on its feet again, although there's a small percentage that would be really done with gambling but that's losses in business for you.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 26, 2024, 04:22:38 AM
That's bound to happen when things become a mess in your life and it's because of your addiction, you don't know anyone and what they truly are capable of until they show it to you, that's why when things become worse for you especially if you've been asking for loans from a lot of people and you use those loans to gamble hoping to get that win you've been looking for a while now, you're bound to meet the person that would rather hurt you than wait for you to payback the loan, they know or assume that you won't pay it anymore, so they might as well get back on you by hurting you. It shouldn't come that far but things will escalate especially if you don't do anything about it.

Definitely cruel and I hope that person is alright after all that hurt that he's been through, I hope that it's a lesson for everyone of us too, that things will get worse and we have the power to not go to that point.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 26, 2024, 03:33:54 AM
There are gamblers who have great instincts and can forecast games that may end up winning the bet. But they are scared that they may lose. They dont trust their own betting predictions so they would rather go to a gambling prediction site to some daily betting tips.
If they doubt their predictions then they didn't have a good instincts in the first place, that's how I see it, they're most likely lucky at their picks that they've got doubts. If you do have a great instinct, most of the time you follow up on it and no doubts will be on your mind whenever you do it, that's how I see it. Regarding using prediction websites to place your bets, that's not how you use those sites, they're there so they can help you decide and consider all of the factors that are present in the match that you might've missed out when you did your own analysis, don't be dependent on such thing when betting, trust your analysis and do it yourself, don't make it a habit to win because you're dependent on something.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: March 26, 2024, 02:59:23 AM
As much as I want to feel bad for Dana, that 3 million is probably going to be an easy money to get back for him being a promoter of UFC and all, definitely not that damaging for him but his advice about gambling is true and it's a really obvious thing too, gambling will always give you losses and wins but mostly losses so either you make it your life to get those wins despite losing a lot than you should or you could control how you would gamble. Remember that not all of us don't got the Dana White money, it's not going to be a good time if that ever happened to any of us, remember that, unless you're an obscenely rich socialite that won't mind losing that much money then good for you but it seems that not any of us is that kind of person, better to check on your gambling spending.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 26, 2024, 02:25:40 AM
Not just crash games, matter of fact, it's gambling in general that doesn't give you that extra income that you're looking for, it's supposed to be an entertainment, a way to pass the time so you don't kill yourself out of boredom. It's not the golden ticket to prosperity, the allure that gambling got with the promise of big jackpot wins and the only thing that you're going to do is to risk your money is really strong, that's why a lot of people are gambling, they think that they've got what it takes to make it and help them in their miserable lives that's going to get more miserable once they hit the peak of their gambling addiction and they start asking for loan money, they're definitely going to do that, I'm sure of it because people that have not been taught to stop when it's too much have no sense of control.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 26, 2024, 01:38:00 AM
Absolutely! Your story resonates because it's relatable and teaches a valuable lesson. We've all been there like the feeling tired and not fully focused which can lead to making mistakes we regret later. Your experience underscores the importance of being mentally alert especially when it comes to activities involving money. It's a reminder to take care of ourselves and make sure we're in the right headspace before making decisions that could impact our finances. Thanks for sharing, it's a lesson we can all benefit from
Never have done this before but I get it, tried doing this back then in my college days, trying to pass the deadline but ended up with a mess of a paper so I ended up with a bad grade, I could've just asked to extend the deadline but I didn't do it. Best advice is to just let your body rest no matter what happens because you know for a fact that you're going to be performing really bad if you try to go against your own biology. It's unfortunate that this happened to OP, I hope that we can take something from all this, it's not something that should happen to anyone so I hope that we can see some kind of changes to our lives. Maybe we just need to get a lot of good night sleep because I've done this before and I never get tired so easily if I sleep on a schedule and I wake up refreshed, definitely the best feeling there is if you ask me.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Best Option: Because of Dollar Rate Cost of Living is on the Peak on: March 24, 2024, 11:39:18 AM
Do you think that bitcoin can never turn the wheels of a country's economy if the government of that country has not given legitimacy to bitcoin, then they can never transact openly through bitcoin. But some of the investors who are investing in bitcoins may be getting some financial gain as they are able to live comfortably but not as much as they are able to cross the threshold. But day by day people's popularity towards bitcoin is increasing more and more people are showing more interest towards bitcoin thus if the number of bitcoin investors increases and the value of bitcoin increases of course they can do better things through bitcoin in future.
Dude, just look at El Salvador, so far they're not on any economic journals and news yet that says that they're growing as a country because they've legitimized bitcoin in their country, they're probably more famous now with doing a very strong and iron fist policy against crime, the president and the country of El Salvador is cleaning up the streets of gangs and that's where they're focused now. Now when it comes to their adoption of bitcoin, I believe that they'd probably benefit even more and we would see more economic growth if the people of El Salvador is also using it but it seems to be not the case. Sadly, just because bitcoin's a legal tender doesn't mean that it will make a country prosper.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin feerates telegram notifications on: March 24, 2024, 10:51:28 AM
Is it legit?

I have heard of multiple cases
where people get viruses into their phones
or whatnot through telegram. Somehow, it’s
always telegram that seems to be the
problem. I always see it being the main cause of
most hacks from people I have heard stories about.
It’s better to be safe than sorry
Damn, this is a thing in Telegram? How does it even work though? Do you like download some attachments on Telegram or is when you do other things because the only time that I believe that a malware or a virus is a possibility is through what I've mentioned which is the download of attachment files from an unknown sources, that's how it is in most cases and if there's no need to download anything on OP's program and it's just a bot that notifies you of price changes, it's probably all good, I'm not updated to how scammers in Telegram try to get into your phone or any devices so I'm not sure that you'd be totally safe. Regarding the notification thingie by OP, it's a really awesome project for you to do but I hope that you've got more features on it rather than just being a notifier because Coingecko already does this, you know what I'm saying?
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: March 24, 2024, 09:51:44 AM
It's not uncommon for people to start their gambling as a form of entertainment or social activity, and then over time becoming more serious and invested to it. If you know to yourself that you are becoming too invested and serious in gambling, maybe it's a good idea to step back and assess or reflect your motivations and goals, if are you gambling for entertainment or you are doing it with the intention to make profit? gambling is exciting and fun but should always consider that it involves or has a high level of risks. Approach gambling by gambling responsibly, gamble with what you can afford to lose, and be mindful of risks.
That's how gambling starts anyway, you don't exactly gamble alone, that's just a sad thing and it wouldn't be enjoyable if you were to do that, I mean look at online casinos, they got to make sure that there's some form of global chat to at least give us some semblance of interaction that would result in a really engaging but not boring online casino experience. OP's start in gambling isn't that unique, maybe some of the circumstances have changed but in the essence, it's not an uncommon thing that would lead you to become a gambler. Totally agree with the advice about taking a step back, when things are overwhelming and you can't decide rightfully how to do the things that you have to do while gambling, it's a good idea to restart and assess the situation, this is the advice that I give to the people that I help when it comes to their computer problems, just a little restart for their computer was enough to solve the issue that they've got regarding their computers.
394  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit locked/pending withdrawals on: March 24, 2024, 07:53:36 AM
I am not quite certain if this has been mentioned in this thread before, however, everyone should first test their ID for KYC confirmation before sending very big deposits on any gambling website and also confirm that people under their jurisdiction are allowed to play in this website. Having a small amount of money frozen is okay, however, having more than $10k frozen in a casino because you did not read the terms of service or you did not test your ID for KYC is partly the bettor's responsibility.
It would help if there's a way that casinos could list the valid IDs that they've got because there's no way that you can never be too involved to the KYC verification of your users, they're your money maker so it's not fair that there's no list, and if they say that the list is too long since you've got to account for each country, wouldn't that be your job to do it? Sometimes there's hard labor that's involved when you're working and maintaining a casino or any job at that, it's not always paycheck and then wait for another one. There also should be a different approach and solution when it comes to the amount of money that a casino is freezing, for starters, they could benefit from putting less strict compliance for unfreezing smaller amounts of money compared to having the same iron fist treatment as unfreezing large amounts of money, less work and everyone would be happy, I think.

As much as I agree that it's the gambler's responsibility to deal with the things that they do when they're gambling but it should at the least be a bare minimum that the casino is on the side of their players helping them out resolve their issues.
395  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: March 24, 2024, 06:05:22 AM
Your strategy is pretty common since that’s exactly the basis of bookmaker to create an odds for their books. You will probably just ended up picking the favorites/small odds on most of your picks with this strategy. I’m not telling that this is a bad idea but rather there’s nothing out of ordinary on your strategy that will make someone here benefit on it.
You can use the fact that the small odds means that they're the most likely to win their games to bet with accumulated odds, that way you're getting more money in the case that you'll get a win in all those picks on your bet, although there's the inherent risk that you're unlikely to get all the winning teams in your accumulated bets which would lead to you losing all of it, that's the only risk that is involved in that one, I would advise with standalone bets on small odds because there are some that don't pay you a lot anyway even if you win, there's even one that's so low that if you bet on it, you'd be losing a small amount of your bet rather than you getting some profit on that bet.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you need to have spare USDT in this bullrun. on: March 24, 2024, 03:12:42 AM
Well, it's not like everyday you can invest in some coin that you know is going to do well and an altcoin at that, you also said that this could be a rugpull but you just did it anyway which means that it also takes some grit and nerves to sacrifice an amount of money to invest in any of them because of the uncertainty that they're going to make you money, that's how I see it though. I hope that newbies won't see it as an inspiration to blindly invest in crypto that they know nothing about because in doing so, they'd probably end up getting the short end of the stick, OP is a different investor and what could work for OP wouldn't work for you, you can only hope for the the best when you're investing. I can agree with the title though, you always need to consider that some altcoins might not yet be catching up with the current hype and so when there's an opportunity to buy them at a lower price and you know that they'll be going up anytime soon, it doesn't hurt that you've got a spare money to spend on that.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find and hold in Atlcoin effectively? on: March 24, 2024, 02:32:48 AM
Well, I am quite convinced with what you have said, but AFAIK, altcoins are usually very unpredictable, and therefore, it is not too good to invest and hold for a long time. Some altcoins could get developed at a time when the Bitcoin halving is just a year away, and the reason why some project owners take such a strategy is so that their project can just get influenced by the Bitcoin bull market and get pumped, after which it will again be dumped, and from there, the project will just lose its value. Someone can actually take all those steps that you have explained, but they can still end up investing in an altcoin that will not generate any profit for them. Anyone who is investing in altcoin should invest with caution, with the money they can afford to lose, because there are some projects that can look very promising and also have a good vision and road map, but on the long run, they will just crash.
That's the nature of most altcoins and those shitcoins that don't have anything better to do are exploiting that very thing because you never know which one's going to last a long time so they guilt trip every investor into thinking that if they don't invest in all those shitcoins (which you wouldn't know about until it's too late) and that you're missing out, that's why you need to look into some parameters that would qualify an altcoin as a worthy investment, OP did gave away a good way to identify that you're not going to be investing in some shitcoin that would only yield you nothing but time wasted, @MAAManda also gave some good points to point out to check out potential altcoins to invest into, the best one so far that I've checked out though is to look into the project itself and the developers behind it, that way you can gauge people that are developing this altcoins if they're trustworthy enough or if they're some kind of liar or deceiver that will only want your money and never really cared about the project in the first place.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: March 24, 2024, 01:38:31 AM
Not really, they're called meme coins for a reason. They don't have a utility outside being just a token and their value is only decided by the people that believe that they've got a value, it just so happens that a lot of them see it as a way to troll other investors so they flock on that one specific coin and so they end up artificially making the price grow, it's probably the reason why DOGE coin is so valuable, because people are so fond of trolling and at the same time believing that it's going to go up in price that it did eventually and it's constantly growing even more so. Memecoins are just like any altcoins out there, it's risky and even though the potential to hit it big is so high, you can never be too careful because there's thousands of them that aren't going anywhere and those that make someone a millionaire is probably only one of those coins so when you're risking it, do be careful when you do it.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme and Alt Coins investors, how do you treat with your conscience? on: March 23, 2024, 09:34:50 AM
I sleep peacefully my guy, it's not like when I invest in them, someone dies for my sake, that's probably the stupidest thing to happen to an altcoin investor if you ask me, why would your conscience be shaken when you're just investing something? What moral philosophy would be offended that I have to have a shaky conscience when I invest into this altcoins? If you can give me the literal ones and the specific ones that tell us that it's morally wrong to invest in altcoins, I would immediately sell all the altcoins that I've got and repent for my transgressions. Kidding aside though, I don't think I'll ever be haunted by regret or other conscience shaking stuff when it comes to investing in altcoin because I know for a fact that I've decided to do it and that living in regret of what I've done isn't really my thing so yes, I do tell the truth that when I buy an altcoin, I do sleep peacefully, I even forget about it after some time.
400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success is a meaningless word without failure. on: March 23, 2024, 08:39:58 AM
That's a profound take but yes that's it, success is built upon mountains of failure but I'd like to clarify something about this words because some people forget that it's not just failing over and over again that constitutes to a success, it also involves the fact that you should be learning something new when you're failing because if you keep failing over the same mistake, you're not destined for success. When it comes to trading, my advice is to try and make sure that you're not failing horribly and always find a way to learn but at the same time minimize your fails because failing on trade means losing money and you can't really lose such resource in this world. It's good if you do some practice in trading before trying yourself for the real one, no risk but you're learning a lot of things.
