421  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 05:55:14 PM
~
Well you would need to still spend. You can't just work your usual 9-5 and just live with it without even spending some spoils of victory. Go get that sneakers that you wanted to buy if you have the means to do so, just remember that thought process of that "if you can't buy twice, you cannot afford it". It would still be nice to have some savings on the side to avoid the problems that might incur from the uncertainty of your job since we all know that layoffs are happening especially in tech companies lately especially if you're a dev.

If you would like to reach the level that you would not worry about money, then building a business is the way to go.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the altcoin go up in price if the bitcoin price goes up? on: March 31, 2023, 08:32:07 AM
~
Well imagine being an investor then investing to Bitcoin first. You would think of diversifying your investments, right? That would lead to buying any other coins in the market at the time. Surely you already know where it is going.

From that people would invest to any other coin in the market after they bought their Bitcoin. It has been like that in the market. Just like the usual market outside, when apples rise in price, there's common scenarios that even oranges and strawberries rise in price especially when they're almost biologically similar to each other.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: March 31, 2023, 08:23:22 AM
And don't you think this will create more opportunities for automation engineers, AI developers and Machine Learning engineers?. This is just the same case when Type writers employees and Cyber Cafe attendants were relieved of their jobs when laptops and mobile phones became rampant.
This is actually a nice take, Zilon. Last month I was like legitimately worried that my job might get taken over by AI as I worked as a Software Engineer as well. There would surely be ways to take advantage on how automation will change the job market. Also code generators like BlackBox and ChatGPT are like something that should aid devs instead of replacing them in their work. Software requires also a maintenance and that would involve solving complex problems as well. Try to throw complex problems to ChatGPT and it is going to.....fail.

Especially now that I have learned Python language which is the common language used for automation along with frameworks like Selenium, this might open more opportunities to dev. They could just leverage their programming skills from their current since the concept is almost the same anyway regardless of what language you're using.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinions of future in Crypto with AI technology? on: March 31, 2023, 03:22:11 AM
~
Imagine if the AI would just get rid of those shit devs that don't even know how to build an app. It will not replace good devs though since they knew what they were doing especially solving complex problems. Throw a complex problems to ChatGPT and it should still break for sure plus considering that business owners should still know if that code generated by AI is even reliable. I do not have a good projects of a suggestion so far due to craze of AI these days, but my opinion all in all is that it is going to help devs, but it is not going to entirely replace them.

425  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: March 31, 2023, 03:16:58 AM
~
I classify that as a bad debt. To be real, "hope" cannot pay your loan back. Technically it is still a good debt from the definition since it earns money overtime anyway, just like how businesses gives a percentage of return or the earnings although the volatility of the market is what makes it somehow of a bad debt.

I can't make a promise that I would pay back a loan if the one that generates revenue is unstable. I would prefer my own money that I can afford to lose, so that I would have no problem in the end. I don't want my earnings to be just be used to pay the loans I used.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you think second if crypto without internets? Impossible right. on: March 30, 2023, 12:38:45 AM
~
Internet is like a basic need now these days considering how almost what most of the things we do everyday now requires one and it is not digitalized and hell, I am not surprised that one day "desktop computer" are even going to be basic needs the same way as how smartphones are like it now these days.

That's one of the weakness of crypto though, the internet. Though considering how easy for most of us can access the internet even with the limited data now these days. It is not that big of a deal.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 30, 2023, 12:33:55 AM
~
Well being homeless is really hard ya know? Not sure what you mean by selling "some part of my land" as an emergency, but I would not use that amount to buy BTC. Here in my country, it is quite a stupid decision to make considering how life is really difficult in here.

I would just use some part of my savings to invest to Bitcoin since those are the amounts I can afford to lose anyway and it won't matter if it did not turned out good in my own end.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: March 29, 2023, 07:50:43 AM
~
As much as I have a faith, I don't want to believe a random woman that "God" revealed the price to her. Shiba Inu is possibly even the worst coin that you could try to predict with that amount. $50/token?! Are you kidding me?

It should have been even a dollar back in the Musk craze back then, but nah it did not.

It's even in Youtube so yeah I can imagine the "shocking" thumbnail that people put in there.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of failure and success can help us control the emotions. on: March 29, 2023, 07:47:00 AM
~
Nah. Not really just positive emotions, justdimin.
I had day traded before and one particular example from my experience was that I am feeling a bit nervous and a bit of fear as well. From that negative emotion, I just started to increase my capital slowly and not entirely committing my whole savings to it. It turned out to lessen my losses after I did the stop loss strat. It was not a profitable experience (leading me to quit day trading), but at least I managed to lessen the losses I got from that where it might potentially cost me thousands of dollars in the long-run.
430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Possible things that gives beginners problems on: March 29, 2023, 06:36:22 AM
~
It would be just simplified that beginners just do not read the rules at all. There's way more things that beginners are not aware of that's why the ban hammer is being with them and they would even do it all over again with new account leading to ban evasion.

I don't think "scamming" is a beginners problem though, since they do have the pure of intention of screwing with people. I guess those newbies that try to take a loan without a collateral in the Loaning section maybe?

Scams are not moderated by the way.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: March 29, 2023, 06:29:40 AM
~
That's the primary goal of the investment anyway. It's to earn profit from the returns that you get from your investment. I do both though - short-term and long-term. I have a separate wallet that entirely holds Bitcoin in the long term while I do have some temp wallet that is primarily for quick profits like bi-weekly (that's still considered a short-term right?).

Though even if I have short-term holds, I don't make it as like a full-time job considering how horrible my day trading experience went.
432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you should trade reviews of crypto YouTubers with caution on: March 28, 2023, 07:46:12 AM
~
Well it was a nice bump OP since they're even more widespread right now. I might go a bit off topic, but LinusTechTips Youtube account just got hacked recently and the hacker was like posting some crypto scams under LTT's name.

Not sure how many clicked into those links that were edited out of the original description, in short but the whole channel was like infested with crypto scams.
Going back to the topic, small to medium Youtubers would do anything just for money including those sponsorships that are not even up to par quality.
433  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What your opinion? on: March 28, 2023, 07:38:05 AM
I really was having this question in mind to ask if it will advisable for somebody who want to start up trying doing online investment and chooses trade as perfect for him or her. What will be your advice for such person as a beginner into online Invertement. I want to hear your opinions if it right or wrong despite it risk,so what your opinion or advise .
My advice would be testing the waters first before you fully commit yourself to online investment or even day trading. Coming from my experience, it did not go well for me at all in the whole month of my attempt in day trading even in following tutorials in Youtube (I was not really a fan of reading books in trading).

It's perfectly fine to gain losses in the first week since we're still learning the ropes.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we build a strong community of supporters for crypto projects ? on: March 28, 2023, 05:46:47 AM

Well if it something that people really wanted to know, I believe transparency is a more appropriate word for that. Businesses have their own dirty secrets and even the reputated ones surely has something behind the scenes that they would not want people to know. Let's say business logic when it comes to a software companies.

Even the those seemingly legitimated ones get raided especially those gambling businesses here in my country, and yeah it happens. Though I know this is all about crypto in general, the point still stands.
435  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do we go from here on: March 28, 2023, 05:37:45 AM
It's enough already that robots took away the jobs of people. But I would sure depend on who holds the AI industry. Because if they are twisted, sure thing they will also develop twisted bots.
It is kinda scary ya know. Knowing that humans are moving towards creating something that places them out of their professions due to automation. I have not heard yet of big tech companies laying off employees due to ChatGPT, but I have this gut feeling that some start up companies out there are not into hiring junior devs since AI can somehow do the Junior tasks and they would only need Senior ones.

Basic data entry tasks out there surely gets replaced now by these AIs.

436  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: March 26, 2023, 05:24:56 PM

Well I have not really checked out how Bitcoin was doing lately and recently I just found out that it is over 25k+ already in USD per coin. Couple of months ago, I was like looking at it to be just around 19-20k and that was it. I thought I would just sleep into the price for now and wait for like a year. I guess that corrects your statement "....bitcoin will not come up soon".

It is just a common sense to buy when you have the means to buy BTC otherwise don't feel too bad that you're going to miss out. Remember that we always have those days of dips like always and it always happens all the time.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What could have happened to all meme coins on: March 26, 2023, 05:21:06 PM
~
They're simply just bad. We all know memes are just part of internet culture and not something to be taken too seriously especially with money. I would not truly categorize it as a purely shitcoin, since somehow it still has that value from being popular internet culture but still my point stands.

And yes, I wouldn't even recommend others even my friends to just hop in straight to the hype of meme coins. It ain't risking your sanity over short-term pumps.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I got money today on: March 25, 2023, 03:28:50 PM
~
That's like it really escalated really fast if you would ask me, OP. Not sure how legit your story was, but I don't think any random individual would just give you that amount of money in a blink of an eye just because of a basic thing unless of course that was like a crucial thing in here life. I wonder if you really received that amount of money since that money ain't a joke especially here in my country.

Good for you that you had invested worth of $100 in Bitcoin though.
439  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 25, 2023, 03:20:30 PM
~
Especially during these days of inflation, it might be even a bit difficult to just "find a new job" I get that people like here in my country are usually job hopping and aiming for overseas jobs if possible. Other people's strategy which is also quite common is just finding an alternative source of income.

Let's say like freelancing after your usual 9-5 work though freelancing is quite of a tough nut to crack when you're still starting. This is when your job is not paying enough since it is all going to bills.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 24, 2023, 07:48:26 PM
~
Here in my country, inflations fucks almost everyone really bad and of course, that sets like the minimum monthly salary to survive higher than what it was last year. Even if you have business that profits, it might not cut it. It's like people these days need to have two sources of income just to somehow survive and live slightly comfortable. Even finding jobs is quite a hard work especially tech companies, and you know what's more depressing in tech companies these days? Those layoffs that you read around the internet. It really happens and it would suck.
