1421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price. on: March 11, 2022, 06:04:56 PM
In the midst of the war between Russia and Ukraine, can we see Bitcoin at the top? Or Bitcoin will not be able to rise from its position as long as the war lasts, what do you think?
Bitcoin might even remain in the top if WW3 happened which I hope that it doesn't happen due to how much this Ukraine-Russia war is going now. Bitcoin has been here since the bearish conditions and it will always remain to be the best investment at all time.

You can make a website without coding, though my concern for that is how would they learn blockchain programming without even learning the fundamentals of basic programming languages (data types, variables, operations, etc...). I wouldn't be surprised if these "everyone" you knew became a scammers after their first few projects.

I wonder how are you reacting to their decisions, OP.
1423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: March 10, 2022, 09:01:32 PM
Recently, I was in a group and someone has said that he's always been into these VIP signals provider groups and has paid three times $20-$50.
Dang. 20-50 USD? That's quite a lot if converted here in my country. I wonder if there are people here in my country willing to pay that amount for a scam signal and what the heck is "VIP" signal anyway. It isn't anything sounding like RSI ones that I had used in the past when I was day trading.
That person you're mentioning could have been in full regrets right now. I suggest taking a break for him for a while.

Well we can think about that since there is no published paper of the study, but still it was a nice read of the article itself as what I stated before although I am not really a fan of statistics at all. Cheesy
It could be a good addition to future studies to consider other luxurious stuffs you mentioned there to prove that women would choose other items like those though I would just scope it down to gold.
1425  Economy / Reputation / Re: Beware : This bitcointalk user is trying to steal my an account on: March 10, 2022, 04:29:51 PM
Wasn't this the similar "fake bitcointalk site" back then? It has something along the lines of BitMiners scam as well. I can't quite pinpoint the thread that it was being discussed, but it contained the similar misleading link as well.

Never mind, I found the link of thread. It was this thread - Fake bitcointalk site (bitminers.asia)
This is why I hover my cursor first into a hyperlink before clicking it to see if it is the actual link that I was about to click. I learned it only when I got rickrolled back then, lol. Cheesy

Well those are quite popular coins so I am not surprised that they're just going for those three. They could have imagined NFTs as just another term for arts being sold except that it isn't paid in USD or their local currency. Those "very few" mentioned could have been playing NFT games which are quite popular still even to these days, maybe for third world or developing countries due to many NFTs conversion to the local currency.
Fond of holding is another thing and I can say that I could agree on that. It's less of a work than actively trading 8-5.

Thanks for the article link by the way, OP. I had a good read.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Conditions of bounty campaigns these days on: March 09, 2022, 09:00:45 PM
In 2017-2018, participating in signature campaigns was very easy and without unnecessary complications. Nothing was required except to write posts on this forum. No joins in telegram groups and social networks, no KYC. Now more often you can see that the link to the table must be looked for in their telegrams.
Not to surprised of especially many people are just into money in here and just don't get a real job outside the forum. Their posts just continues to pollute the forum generating a heavy traffic for absolute crappy reason.
Merit was a good addition in controlling these. Telegram groups are also being bombarded by scammers already. Even in my Upwork job feed, direct link to Telegram becomes like to pollute but good thing it is moderated well.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Experts Please Suggest me on: March 09, 2022, 04:37:20 PM
There isn't 100% safe game, but if you're looking for just minimal risk just go for 100% BTC or 50/50 BTC/ETH. Others in my experience were all for day traders and I won't even bother retelling again my horrible experience in day trading back then as it just didn't work out for me. lol

My bad for not getting back into your reply that fast. I guess I might need to get a notif bot for users quoting me.
About that, maybe you had more experience than me but that could be just in my end that I always avoid crypto stuffs in social media platforms as mostly I see a lot of spam comment from fake profile or "clone" of whatever crypto page that is claiming that they're doing a giveaway that's just purely BS as they wanted you to send them 1-2 ETH for "cOnfIrmation". I appreciate the advice, by the way. Thank you for the correction. Smiley

That ""tothemoon"x is just my expression on how many scams claim that they're going to multiply your money.

Well not all, bruh.
I gotta admit that I sold few of my BTC when it was at its price right now instead of waiting it getting back to 60k+, but most of it are still in my disposal.
Many Bitcoin investors are for the long-term ones unlike those people who think that their shitcoin can still pump more than $.001.
1431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The power of a questionnaire on: March 08, 2022, 07:05:11 PM
Do you know that you can detect what a project team have in plan for their projects by just asking them questions on telegram group? Even if they have a scam plan you can burst them with questions, the first red flag you should be looking out for when doing this is the team trying to avoid answering some questions, if the team are pure all questions should be answered firmly ..
Still if they gave some answer in their Telegram group, they could had prepared quite a lot of answers for those FAQs. Their answers still need to be proven valid, as they could just throw a random stuff in the chat. Let's say asking for roadmap could just lead them into putting up a fake roadmap that won't even happen at all.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: March 08, 2022, 06:56:40 PM

Well if it is paid shill, they would take it. It adds up to their image also sometimes making a non-crypto influencer into a crypto influencer. In Youtube platform, it is already quite common to those spam accounts to have a paid subscribers, like bots or even a bought channel which I think happens a lot especially that incident in fake Binance Youtube Channel that scammed a lot of people even though they had a lot of subscribers.

I am not sure what particular thread were you attacked as you started many topics in different boards and I am not going to bother reading each and everyone's reply there to find it out.
If you think that the "criticism" isn't sort of constructive, ignore button is there at your disposal if you feel that it is an "attack" not a constructive criticism.
Welcome to the internet, OP. You'll meet every sorts of people that you can imagine.
1434  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No social media is safe on: March 06, 2022, 07:59:35 PM
From what I read, it seemed like you got "too attached" to whoever this man is that made you move your money to his "platform". OP should learn that nobody would give a crap about one's money unless s/he will give it to somebody.

Scammers are everywhere, OP. Even if you get attached to someone, never ever entrust your money to a person you just met in social media. I wouldn't even entrust my money to my friends in a blink of an eye.
1435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Many projects won't matter in four years time on: March 06, 2022, 07:54:46 PM

Either OP has an alt account in here or was reading around here for quite some time as a Guest, that's why s/he just straight up posted this thread.
OP's point is simply a common sense to everything actually.

@OP Do you mind sharing a real-life experience of what you're saying?
1436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People hate what they don't understand. on: March 05, 2022, 07:55:39 PM

For many newbies, they're having the misconception of this even if they argue that they are even holding Bitcoin.
This is why I separate my money between custodial ones and non-custodial ones. I use custodial wallets whenever I wanted to use some of their services, like for say example buying credits for my network service provider.
But for the sake of holding my own savings in crypto, it would be in a non-custodial of course.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: March 05, 2022, 07:52:53 PM

Remember that if you make your passion as your job, it will hurt your interest to it once a lot of jobs had been done. You should separate what you wanted to do 8-5 and what you want to do in your free time.
If you like eating, you would love to do it with your freewill not on what other people wanted you to eat.
1438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Fails ? on: March 04, 2022, 08:17:18 PM
~
It's pretty much that. The original post is a little bit too much. It's all about having freedom with your own money and people always have that choice whether they would want that with their money or just choose to be a bank slave. Bitcoin cannot just technically fail in a blink of an eye.

Bitcoin is decentralized plus it's open source anyway.
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: March 04, 2022, 08:09:29 PM

Well that's quite the common mindset of people in their long-term investment, but for short-term traders...it's a meh.
Either way there would always be losses anyways. It is either you had missed the peak price which happened to me back in 2017. Particularly Bitcoin.
It was a newbie mistake, lol.

Well using "most" is kind of harsh. It's like those members "accidentally" got out of newbie.
Depending on how well one can read English, it can take less than a week to at least fully comprehend and apply the rules of the forum. Everyone has their own pacing when it comes to learning just like in any other fields.
Even higher ranks are getting temporarily banned for various reasons and there were some I recall that did plagiarism but that does not make them a "newbie".
