421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: brazil sanctioned law that taxes online betting in the country on: March 22, 2024, 04:06:01 AM
It's not security, they just want more ways to get money for themselves through taxes, that's how they do things in most country right? I would only support this kind of thing that the government does when I know that the money that's being taxed is being used to fund projects that benefit the many without harming any person then I'd gladly pay my taxes but if I don't see any welfare programs, public works and other government programs that help the general population then I would definitely never ever support it because that would only mean that I'm going to be enabling more money being pocketed by corrupt officials and that doesn't sit right with me in any shape or form. Brazilian government is probably needing all the money that they can get to use it on some public works that have been overbudget, I've heard that there's some parts of the country that are so bad that it's difficult to live in it.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: March 22, 2024, 03:22:44 AM
With how bad the probability in winning is when it comes to lottery, I don't really like the idea that the odds are overwhelming and against me so I'd rather go with scratch lottery rather than those lottery tickets where you choose the number that you'll put in your ticket, with scratch off tickets there's a chance that I can get my money back or get something out of it even though the odds is still against me. I know how debilitating and crazy it would get when I get obsessed with lottery so even though I play the scratch ticket kind I still don't overdo it or even try because I know for a fact that I'm going to get addicted to it, I'd rather not overspend in IRL gambling when that money could've went somewhere that would feed me delicious food and drinks.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 22, 2024, 02:46:44 AM
Haven't tried that yet but I do support some teams that I like the most but I don't go out of my way to put an all in bet when I'm confident that they're winning, there's a difference with calculated risk and an uncalculated one and you don't want to do any of that in the case that you lose, you're losing big time and you don't want that to happen to you, maybe if you're favorite team is really strong, you wouldn't mind using betting as much as you can but the possibility of losing will always be there, not mentioning that the odds of the team you might be betting on is really low that you're probably going to make nothing even if they win.

Your friend really got the luck on his side and it would've gone either way and I'd assume that he'd blame you for your mischief since you're the one that told him to do that kind of bet but this didn't happen, it seems to me that your friend owes you a pint of beer and some food, he probably wouldn't mind with all that win.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Blocksize War is still ongoing. on: March 21, 2024, 03:59:09 PM
Much as I agree with you, I have to point out that there's ordinals floating in the network that's making it congested thus making the payments for it more expensive for those that are just using bitcoin to do transactions so even if custodial is a wrong thing for us, it still should be an option for in the cases you're going to need the money and that you don't want to be paying those high fees, they can be an option for you but nonetheless it should be a last resort kind of thing. Also, isn't BCash worth nil anymore? And it's a different kind of network anyway? So how is there a blocksize war on something that has a clear winner?
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop adding features to Bitcoin that don't facilitate its use as electronic cash on: March 21, 2024, 08:58:23 AM
Even though we don't agree with Ordinals and all kinds of things in the Blockchain, we have to accept it, because the freedom that bitcoin creates also brings things that we don't like very much... So time and the market itself to say what will survive or not... And not there is nothing we can do but let time tell who is right.
Being free doesn't that we just stand there and let them what they want, that's not being free, that's being a passive person. That's not how you do things when you want to defend your freedom, when there's enough people that have agreed that something isn't right then it's a right that we all bear to correct that error so we can continue having that freedom. As much it's their right to add some of those stupid stuff that's congesting the network then it's also our right to be vocal about how crazy that thing is and that it shouldn't even be part of this network. We can't always be letting things just pass by, some people might be okay with being a human doormat but there's more that aren't okay with that kind of set up.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Soo, bitcoin is now over 70K on: March 21, 2024, 08:18:59 AM
Threads like this always make me wonder why people ignore good advice given by others for free? We were telling you not to hold money on exchanges for years, but greed is stronger. Either it's greed or laziness, because I'm sure that OP heard the phrase not your keys - not your coins.
Probably for the same reason that they find it counterintuitive and that they don't trust strangers to do what they want to do, that's how I see things in this kind of thing, why they don't take the logical advice. There's also the matter of convenience although I can't see how it's a strong argument but some say that it's why they're storing their bitcoins or any cryptocurrency for that matter in exchanges. It's a really weird world we're living in, people getting your trust only to snatch it down under when you least expect it. I don't believe that we will ever see people stopping to use CEX as a way to store their bitcoins for the long-term, people will always going to do that no matter how much we care that they do it and tell them that it's risky. I guess it's in our best interest that we do our own business more than we do others because they don't care at all, the people that would follow the advice would probably be following it and those that won't will never no matter how much we persuade them.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden resurrects 30% crypto mining tax in new budget proposal on: March 21, 2024, 06:40:26 AM
I'm starting to like Trump more and more. Although he is a Republican.  Cheesy

Good luck, America! God help us all.
You're just saying that because there's no better or alternative option, and with how the things are run in the US government, I think that a businessman is the right person to do the thing, maybe if people start electing the right people and not leaving any of them behind when it matters the most, maybe we would see something different and we'd see that the option wouldn't be just Trump or Biden and Old Joe Biden really needs to retire, there's no way that I'd want an old man that probably doesn't know how to use his email to be running a country that for better or worse, would be a burden for the next generation.

Man, they're taking a bit of a slow stroll in increasing the debt ceiling it seems that they're planning to do this kind of thing, that's probably the only reason that I can think of why they're considering reopening this regulation on bitcoin miners, no way that they've planned this through though, that's probably the most appropriate thing to say, "God help us all!"
428  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong altcoin ngayon ang may potential mag x10 to x100? on: March 21, 2024, 06:04:57 AM
429  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Solana Mobile on: March 21, 2024, 05:04:39 AM
430  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 1xbet Scamming Pilipino sportbettors on: March 21, 2024, 03:59:55 AM
Mga work mates niya naka 1xbet sila halos lahat. Siguro dahil maliitan lang mga bets nila like 100 to a few thousand pesos.
431  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Naranasan Nyo Na Ba Na Masisi Dahil Sa Cryptocurrency on: March 21, 2024, 03:21:10 AM
432  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nakapagtake profit ba ang lahat? on: March 21, 2024, 02:32:48 AM
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old would you be by 2140? on: March 21, 2024, 01:51:53 AM
Tell me, would this earth still be in existence in 2140? Or would we humans probably destroyed it by then? I mean, look at the way the world is going. Well, it doesn’t even matter because there’s only going to be a super little amount of us who could be alive by then. Some of us have already lived half our lives and would be about maybe 140 - 170 years by then. Even for those birthed right now, they’ll be 115 years at that time, and that’s a lot.
As much as I agree with your sentiment, I can't help but be an optimist that it's never going to happen and the world ending weapons that superpower nations have are going to create a stalemate that would make it so that we live in an artificial kind of peace. I think that humanity would be able to survive until that time and even though the current politics is so heated, it's probably in our best interest to know that they're all empty threats and the media just wants us to get scared so we can't have meaningful thinking, all paranoia no dialogues. Regards to how old I'm going to be, I'd rather not answer that because it seems to me like it's on the side of personal information and I don't think I'll ever be revealing any of that but I'm definitely a dead man by that time and the only way that I can witness that is if along the way, we got rid of death or old age. I'm curious as to what's going to happen to this forum after those years, that's going to be something worth looking out for if you ask me, rather than the age of the people in the bitcoin space, it's the second most that I'm curious about.

To you @oktana, stop the doomscrolling on your social media, get out of the house, ask your friends or loved ones to go out with you, it's better if you enjoy each day and not be worried too much about what you can't control over the other countries, sometimes ignorance is a bliss.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Time to Buy More BTC? on: March 20, 2024, 05:03:10 PM
Anytime is a good time to buy bitcoin buddy, the real question is, "Is this the right time to buy more bitcoin than your usual purchase?" Because that's more better since it implies that you're already doing the right thing which is buying bitcoin so you can continue accumulating and hodling that bitcoin for the long-term profit. With that question, it's also much better since you can further improve your decision since people are going to give out a more diverse but much better than just answering yes it's better to buy now blah blah blah.

In regards to your question though, that first sentence is probably a good answer but if I were to answer what I've proposed you should've asked, I'd say that it's not the time to buy more because it's not yet maximized value and you don't want to do that, the price will probably continue to dump so it's better to be buying in a consistent pattern through DCA right now rather than putting more, there's more opportunities to come anyway.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 20, 2024, 02:21:24 PM
The rich gambler should be in a good position to risk than the poor. Because the poor are always afraid of risking. While the rich take alot of risk. And they have more money to risk than the poor so the rich has more privilege. I could remember a friend of mine who has money, he always gamble with huge fund and makes alot of money with just few odd. Thou he loses at times but I believe he makes more profit than loses. Thats why I said the rich should be in a right position to risk the more than the poor.
Definitely, that's the only answer to this question, rich people have far more money at their disposal that they won't mind spending it on gambling and the money that they're going to spend on that isn't going to be a lot of money compared to their net worth and at the same time, the money that they're spending on gambling in a day is probably 3 months worth of salary for a poor gambler so yes, they're the only one that's worth their salt risking money in gambling and they've got bigger pay offs when gambling compared to a poor gambler since the poor gambler would want to maximize the time that they're playing so they bet smaller thus netting only a small win unlike with a rich gambler that can risk more money but when they hit the win, they're going to make the money back that they've risked previously.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling friendly countries on: March 20, 2024, 12:02:50 PM
European countries are a prevalent group that shows up in the top countries that are pretty much tax free. You can also try Australia, there's a known way to launder your money in their pokies as they call it (I don't know the name of the game), this thing has been exposed already and despite it being exposed, money launderers are still doing it even in the open. I've known that it's tax free in Australia because I watched this story although it's sort of like a vlog where the YouTubers are trying to launder their money and show how easy it's done, they even have the audacity to wear a clothing that says that they're laundering money and no one cared, even at the teller where they can see, they just give the money no taxes. So in my opinion if you want a tax free gambling wins or just plain old illegal financial scheme, Australia is your country.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 20, 2024, 08:14:28 AM
With how popular the streaming market is and how easy it is to create a cult of personality in your platform, I think that it's probably the time that you should do your responsibility as a streamer to take care of the people that's on your platform watching you do the things that you need. I think that the ban is a deserved one because that kind of things aren't supposed to happen anyway and that we all should take care of people, the world is slowly deteriorating with flexible morals, it's probably in our best interest that we should do something about this, people being able to influence a horde of yes men and child, it's a scary prospect that this has become the norm for this world.
438  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: March 20, 2024, 07:06:03 AM
The effect of gambling and almost any kind of addiction is almost always the people around that's affected the most, they're the ones that will deal with the things that don't affect you, financial problems are going to be their burden, emotional burden is also an addition to this, think of addiction like cigarette, the second-hand smoke is more dangerous than the first-hand smoke. That's why in most people that are trying to recover from addiction, they almost always say that they want to change because they want to be better for their family and then second they want to be better for themselves, the priority in recovery is already evident which ones affected the most.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Create a player list of rights on: March 19, 2024, 05:44:39 PM
But the thing is that these list of rights could be a way for entitled players to sort of abuse the casinos and in a way make it difficult for gambling businesses to thrive in the crypto gambling space because when there's a lot of demands that is disadvantageous for them, why would they pit themselves on it and risk having to comply. I know that it would sound hypocritical of me to say this right after I've said what I've said but this is definitely a good idea, I'm just saying that there's people out there that's going to abuse this if we let them be, others have pointed this out so even if we want to make this list, no one's going to take it seriously.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 0x.bet Online casino on: March 19, 2024, 04:48:25 PM
Here's the thing about this review though, you're a newbie and people don't easily trust people like you in here because a lot of scammers that want to promote their scams in the forum are always creating newbie accounts to spam the forum into promoting their scams here so not everyone trusts people like you OP and there's nothing you can do about it. Either you should've done this by earning a reputation and building your account here, that helps the most too because if you're active at a lot of discussions, people will see you more often and if you're lucky, they might like you and associate your posts as reliable or worth looking into but that's not the case for you right now.

Unless of course someone who's been in this forum for a really long time have a don't care attitude that they might consider trying this and seeing the results themselves, that's the only hope you've got if we're talking about someone backing up your review.
