I would only support this kind of thing that the government does when I know that the money that's being taxed is being used to fund projects that benefit the many without harming any person then I'd gladly pay my taxes but if I don't see any welfare programs, public works and other government programs that help the general population then I would definitely never ever support it because that would only mean that I'm going to be enabling more money being pocketed by corrupt officials and that doesn't sit right with me in any shape or form. As much as I agree with your sentiment, I can't help but be an optimist that it's never going to happen and the world ending weapons that superpower nations have are going to create a stalemate that would make it so that we live in an artificial kind of peace.
