I imagine Countries all over the world adopting a national strategy with BTC,
the only challenge would be the scalability of Bitcoin. As the network's user base grows, there's a limitation on the number of transactions processed per second. If Bitcoin were to be widely adopted as a global reserve currency, managing a substantial transaction volume could pose a challenge.
I can imagine small countries like Suriname to adopt a national Bitcoin strategy, It will be a long time yet before Germany, the U.K or the U.S follow that approach, if ever. Perhaps a bit obvious, but the interest in Bitcoin from Suriname’s public officials comes from the growth that El Salvador is experiencing, a country that made Bitcoin legal tender in September 2021. I think its obvious the effect and influence El Salvador is having on these small nations. And I think its normal for small nations like this to try and advance their position and try and get ahead of the larger dominant ones. The goal is to make the country take a leap in quality in fields traditionally not associated with the country, such as finance and technology.
Not only that, Santokhi would like to improve the life of his people and the ability of Bitcoin to store wealth for the future and its potential for financial inclusion are promising for the smallest country in South America.

Hamas is targeting cryptocurrency wallets and Indian business man is already a victim. He had already lost half a million dollar to the cyber wings of Hamas. This had happened two years back and the Police had struggled to find the end users of the Wallets. By the time Israel intelligence agency have given list of suspected wallets. The security agencies of India had identified the stolen funds ended with the Wallets operated by the cyber terrorism wing of Hamas called al Qassam brigades. Though the incident took place long back, we need to be keeping things in a much secure manner. Hamas steals cryptoLet's be real here. Hamas isn't the main concern when it comes to crypto hacks. And targeting pro-israel countries isn't same as targeting CEX:es or DeFi for random users. Or having wallet drainers in web pages that are being constantly shared in every crypto community. I feel like putting my tin foil hat on this as all they have is one example of Delhi businessman, yet they and OP are seem to see this as a major threat. While actual crypto hacks are a multi billion dollar industry happening world wide. And my educated guess is that worst groups are far from Hamas. Also there's the fact that they can launder the money as much as they can, it's getting harder and harder to cash out any significant crypto amounts. And in the future that's most likely impossible. That being said. Everyone should keep their wallets safe. Not because of Hamas, but because you don't keep your door open, or give control of your bank account to strangers either. You are right, I was wondering about the OP and whether the concern was more about HAMAS or getting our wallets hacked? TBH I wouldnt put it past Mossad or the IDF's. anyway, yes its important to secure your coins and all passphrases, passwords and seeds to the best of your ability because lets be honest, WE are the weakest link in the security chain.

Merry Christmas to you too serveria.com! Yea I did see that this tournament was on, its more of an exhibition event though, its an independent tournament and probably a bit more light hearted than a full blown ATP/WTA event. They are certainly not doing it for the monetary reward either... The Eagles took home AED1 million ($272,305), while the Kites bagged AED500,000. Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Sofia Kenin and 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva claimed season 2 title at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena

We refer to that day as Boxing Day. E.g. in cricket, Australia usually has a "Boxing Day test" with which ever team is visiting over here at this time of year. (I'm usually sleeping off the Christmas cheer from today's festivities) 😁🎄☃️
Its St.Stephen's day here! Boxing Day I think is only celebrated in the most of the commonwealth. You are 12 hours ahead, its only Christmas Day here now and there will be a good bit of sport up and running tomorrow here. Horse Racing, Football and Rugby. 3 matches tomorrow to finish off Round 8 in the URC Cardiff v Dragons - Odds are 1.24 for Cardiff and 4.2 for the dragons who are currently occupying last place in 16th. Scarlets v Ospreys - This will be a close call 1.82 for the home side and 2.07 for the visitors who might very well win, great chance to double the stake. Final match should be a crowd pleaser Minster v Leinster - I think I'll go with the home side and underdogs who are 2.90 for this, Leinster although in 2nd spot on the table can be beaten.

I don't know whether what I'm feeling other people are feeling it or am just having this feeling based on the country where I'm located, or am feeling this way because of age and responsibility. Before now everything was easy for the rich , poor, and middle class, you can even be happy without having any money with you. But this time it seems different, you can still have money but still their is is no inner joy. Now even the people around are not real and genuine but fake, can even betray for free.
That is because of the influence of technology and social medias. People are flaunting, flexing what they have this time and this gives you the pressure and rush to achieve necessary things because of your insecurity. I'm not saying you actually but it is for those people that have been reliant on the opinion of other people. This is hard to change when they've been too dependent to the opinion of other people. While these necessary things can be achieved slowly, easy and without having pressure at all, they chose what they think that shall rush them and then later on will complain that they're dealing with hardship through it. I agree about Technology and Social Media, its also consumerism and accessibility to global markets. Life is very complicated and people generally feel like they have to own the latest, newest version of what they have already when in fact it doesnt make people feel happy in the long term. But to quote the thread title "Everything has changed" of course it has, and it is ever changing, thats why we no longer live in caves and scavenge for food, its why we have Bitcoin! and in 25 years from now things will be different also.

$1m is too small, he should fine more. Lol. Sigh, this person is not yet done for what he wants that he will never get, ever. If i'm one of those who support him (which i will never be), i should drop it already lol. It's been a very long time already yet he didn't prove anything, because obviously he is fake.
Its not a fine, its to cover costs "in case" he loses the trial in February. Justice Mellor also granted the developers a second security application, ordering Wright to pay by Jan. 5 an additional 800,000 pounds (~$1 million) to cover the developers' legal costs in the event he loses the trial. Wright already deposited 100,000 pounds ($127,000) as a security payment. I would like to think that this is a security measure on behalf of the court because they see this case as having high odds of going against CSW. I have said it before but I think he will be caught out for the fake he is at some stage sooner or later and his house of cards will continue to crumble following on from the hodlonaut https://bitcoinmagazine.com/legal/hodlonaut-wins-defamation-case-against-craig-wrighthttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5413844.0

Is marriage a do or die afair? Because most culture and ways of life has made it look like it. women to a man is not just a companion but also a helper. In some part of the world it's a very big deal if a woman is not married when she is up to marriageable age, women goes through a lot in that aspect when not married, she will be talk down on, direspected, she will receive all manner's of insult just because she is not married.
I knew of a woman that in her family it's only her that didn't got married, she is being treated badly even her household members, they always try to mock her at every slit opportunity, because she is more than 50years of age now.
To me the most ugliest part of it is that in some part of the world, women are not given part of their inheritance, it's only the male child, they believe that woman will get married and have a new home.
In which part of the world is this still happening? Things have changed now, people now decide if they want to be married or stay single for the rest of their lives and there are no big issues about it. There were times when divorce used to seem like an abomination, but now people even even celebrate being separated . All these cases have been made easy because the stereotypes have reduced and the stigma that comes with being unmarried or divorced too have reduced. All thanks to civilization that has made everyone believe in the equality of the man and the woman. What The people are more concerned with is how to develop themselves and control scarce resources at their disposal. The most painful part of it is even the ones that got married and found their self in an abusive marriage, will find it difficult to walk away because she doesn't want to stay unmarried. Please let's all of protect our women, they also have the right to live.
Most women who remain in abusive marriages stay back because they have little or no means of survival if they leave. This explains why the financially buoyant women who are in abusive marriages choose divorce faster without looking back. I would hazard a guess that its either or both the middle east, pakistan and India (to be general) I suspect that these societies still largely practice organised or arranged marriages. In my country too women are free to choose who and when to marry, whether to have a religious or civil marriage or decide no to at all, thats freedom end equality. Marrying in order to have children, honestly the world needs less people, not more so I dont care if people marry and dont have children or dont marry at all. I am totally against religion anyway and totally for the abolition of some rules imposed on people based on societal customs like marrying before or at an "optimal" child bearing age.

Glasgow Warriors 22 - 10 Edinburgh - as expected
Ulster 20 - 19 Connacht - Just about but as expected, better performance from Connacht.
There are only 2 matches today in the URC, the balance of the matches will be played on the 26th.
The Italian Derby Zebre Parma v Benetton - Benetton being favourites are 1.24. IMO thats actually a good price because I really cant see them losing.
South Africa Stormers v Bulls - this should be close according to the odds 1.90 v 2.01, I'm going again with the favourites.

I would say he is probably the only player who feels that way or has that approach.
Over say the last 2 years for example I would have the impression that he doesnt overall enjoy his tennis. I'm basing this purely on his on court antics and general "bad behaviour", or is it that he gets a kick out of acting like that and "going against the grain" to make a point that tennis doesnt have to be so serious all the time or something like that?

Regardless, this is still good news. Bitcoin being recognized by a country to be used in contracts and deals is one good improvement. People in Argentina won't be worrying about their deals in cryptocurrency being ignored by the court. This time the government is supporting Bitcoin deals and contracts that can further boost the Bitcoin real-life application. I think there is no need for Argentina to make Bitcoin a legal tender, a mode of payment, or being recognized in contracts and deals is enough, IMO.
Yea I agree, regardless of how Bitcoin is being legalised or accepted its an acceptance by the authorities of Bitcoin. It probably means baby steps on the route to full El Salvador type legalisation and adoption but I would say it will happen. There was a fair bit of negativity around after El Salvador announced they were adopting Bitcoin as legal tender and I dont think that will be the case with Argentina, the mould has been broken by Bukele!

Bitcoins and other cryptos will never become mainstream before... people can buy water bottles with them.
There are two things wrong here and people only responded to one of them so far. The obvious one that when we talk about adoption we aren't talking about a situation when you can buy anything anywhere at any time. That would be more like replacing fiat which is not the goal. The other one that nobody addressed is that altcoins will never become mainstream or even be used as long as their purpose is to be pumped and dumped. For years the altcoin creators only made new projects to make money themselves, hence the premines and ICOs and PoS and so on. Until that changes, we won't see "other cryptos" ever be used for anything meaningful. You are right but I think it hasnt been discussed earlier on this thread because we all know that altcoins will never come close to having the useage of Bitcoin. Personally I never believed Bitcoin would become a globally accepted mainstream currency. It is now going down the road of being a very sought after assett according to institutional investors. For this argument we could also say I cannot go to my local shop and but a bottle of water with my rough cut sapphire!

First up Glasgow warriors v Edinburgh - Glasgow are favourites @ 1.45, gotta go with them.
