At this moment Novak is playing against Alejandro and it seems that without many surprises Novak is winning and could end the game with victory, something that is expected to happen even before the game started, he was already coming to this game as the Big favorite so I hope he wins the game. also in a few minutes we will have the game of Stefanos Tsitsipas against Diego Sebastián Schwartzman, in this game also the favorite which is Tsitsipas is also being seen as a likely winner, with odds of @1.10 in favor of Tsitsipas I don't see any surprises in this game , so in my opinion Tsitsipas will come out of this game with victory

then we will have the game of Carlos Alcaraz against Denis Shapovalov, also in this game the favorite that Carlos Alcaraz has a very low odd, something like @1.04 honestly is very low against Denis Shapovalov's @12.00, I wonder if anyone will have the courage to bet on Denis Shapovalov to win this game, Denis Shapovalov occupies the number 32 position and has been a player who doesn't focus much on the games, this is visible because of his behavior during the games, while the one who currently occupies the number 1 is one of the big favorites to win this tournament, in my opinion we won't see any surprises in this game, Alcaraz will win the game

Tsitsipas played an easy game because Schwartzman was disappointing. Except for a few moments when Schwartzman demonstrated his quality, he failed to play even average tennis most of the time. If it wasn't for Tsitsipas who had some series of unforced errors I think in the second and the third set, it would have been over even faster than that. Tsitsipas was of course the favorite in this game, but I did expect Schwartzman to be a bit harder to beat.

Djokovic is going toe-to-toe with essentially everyone on and off the court! He is fully into politics and doesn't hold back with his opinion even though it is not allowed. The stadium booed at him because he also provoked the crowd and his opponent kind of when he cheered about his second set win in an unusually happy way. Even though he is going to be the best in terms of Grand Slam titles won, he has never been the most popular at all. Not that it is necessary, but he likes to be hated and he shows it.

No Schwartzman is not having a great season this year. It was easy enough for
Tsitsipas 2-6, 2-6 & 3-6. He plays Ofner, the guy who killed my bet on Fognini
today and Korda earlier in the week, does he pose a real threat to Tsitsipas?

Djokovic - I think his popularity has waned a bit iver the last few years, hitting a
line judge at the US Open in 2020, then the messing around with the COVID vaccine
didnt win him much brownie points.

Ouch, Wests Tigers beaten by 1 point!

With 1 second to go and a missed field goal attempt it was extremely close, thats a pity
for them really after beating the Panthers to come close to taking a second win.

Big Big game tomorrow 2 plays 3 - Sharks v Broncos, the Broncos are underdogs @ 2.7,
can they pull off a win away to the Sharks?

Of the top teams from last year they have lost to the Panthers, Raiders, Rabbitohs, Storm.
They have beaten the Eels and Cowboys but we cant count them because they have
lost to almost everyone at this stage.

Going by this season I would back the Sharks but I would like to back the Broncos!

Sinner vs. Altmaier. Difficult match for Sinner. Altmaier demands everything from him and could cause a small sensation with a little more power.
Some matches have unexpected results. In many matches the supposedly weaker opponent manages to win at least one set. Or Bautista for example. Lost in 5 sets against Varillas (ATP Rank 94). The odds were not so bad and one should have bet on Varillas early in set 3.
The match was interesting and took more than 5 hours, quite impressed with what was shown by the two players especially Daniel Altmaier, when finally he was able to take the 4th set, and the fifth set became so very wild for both players but Altmaier was able to take this final set even though he had looked nervous so that several match points failed to be completed, this was a very emotional victory for the non-seeded players.
When we see the seeded players being defeated by the non-seeded players through a very tight match, it's a fun thing because the match went very interesting, so this competition does not always have seeded players even though in the end it is still the seed who will become the champion.

This match was easily one of the best I have ever seen in recent times. Sinner was supposed to win this match and was also heavily favoured by a lot of experts. But it was a really hard-fought victory by Altmaier. He took his opponent into deep water. This was a test of temperament and character for both of them.

In the end, it was really great to see Altmaier come away with a win from this match. Even though he was certainly a little nervous, he did not let the nervousness get to him. Unexpected result but these are the type of matches that I am actually happy to be on the wrong end of the prediction.

Yeah, a real thriller this one. Level of tennis showed by both players was simply unbelievable! Both players showed some ridiculous skill even after 5 hours of play. It's the 5th longest match in history of RG! Altmaier wanted this win so badly he even cried after the match. As to the Italian, I believe he ran out of energy and his muscles started to let him down.

Zverev v Molcan about to finish now, good opportunity for Sascha to end this in three.

Cant believe Sinner lost! That was one very close match with 3 tie breaks, the spectators
got their moneys worth with that match!

Other than that upset today the top players came through, Fritz, Ruud, Zverev, Tiafoe but
Paul lost in 4 sets, dissapointing from Paul who is haveing a quiet time lately

Fognini as we have talked about him already is through to round 3 and plays Ofner next,
now Fognini should this and he is a good price at 1.73, he is definitely worth a $1 bet.
1164  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Which do you prefer? Physical or digital collectibles? on: June 01, 2023, 12:26:06 PM
To be honest...I prefer both....Love my digital Bitcoin in my physical items but now I also love even more the NFTs on Ordinals!

I mean...You have Bitcoin and digital embeded images on Bitcoin blockchain on one coin...how can you not like?

Even if the NFT or image was not on the coin, I love my Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens just as well...as they are all part of the Bitcoin blockchain forever! Cheesy

I have one NFT . . . from krogothmanhattan! but its with a physical!

I havent looked into the "ordinals" "craze" but what k says above it kind of sounds cool,
to me the kicker is " ... on the Bitcoin Blockchain" this would obviously cut out all
the messy business with NFT's

For me though Physical trumps digital maybe its predominantly older generation thing,
Would younger generations prefer digital collectibles I wonder?
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador President Hires Bitcoin Standard Author As Economic Advisor on: June 01, 2023, 05:45:43 AM
Well, in the first place, it seems Ammous doesn't even have a strong background in economics. Although he's been teaching economics, he's actually an engineering graduate who has masters and doctorate degrees in the fields of development.

But he's probably studied the economics side of Bitcoin pretty well to have been able to produce a best-selling book on it. So he must have a fair amount of knowledge on Bitcoin.

Anyway, his is merely an advisory role. The president must have so many advisors and consultants left and right. Adding one more voice won't probably hurt, much less compromise, the entire economic roadmap of El Salvador.

This is similar to what happens here in my country and probably other countries,
our government leader us a qualified Doctor. Anyone here can run and try to be elected
by the people as a politician. Wasnt the president of Ukraine a comedian before
he ran for government?

You are right also in terms of "advisor", because of the point above government
leaders cant be specialists in every area of government, they need advisors who specialise
in a particular area.

I think it's an ok appointment, it would be different if he hired him for the department
of health...

For the about fourty years of the State Versus State format 75% of the time whoever wins the first game usually wins the series.

And the underdogs win! Bit of a remarkable win really, by the reports I read Queensland
were out played by NSW and they were down to 12 men at one stage. Can they slot into
that 75% statistic of winning? they have 2 chances.

ARGENTINA UPDATE

Argentina plays the Wallabies on the 15th of July! Write the date in your diary and be prepared for a spot quiz afterwards.

Thats round 2 of the Rugby Championship. This is a very important tournament this year,
its World Cup year and New Zealand, Argentina, Australia and South  Africa have a slight
advantage because they will have developed match and competitive fitness 2 months
ahead of the RWC.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 31, 2023, 06:22:09 PM
Medvedev lost was really a surprise and congratulations to those who bet against him.

Fognini ATP rank 130_ I noticed him again after a long time in the match against Struff in Miami. Now that he has won in Paris against AAF (okay, AAF was injured, but anyway) and he has also won against Kubler. Now he will play his next match against the Austrian Ofner who surprisingly beat Korda. Fognini seems to be picking up steam at the age of 36.
Medvedev loosing on clay is not surprising. I mean this is his 7th appearance in RG and fifth time he lost in first round. This is not surprise this is actually expected of him  Grin
Must admit that he was looking good for his standards on clay recently and I expected he will have a bit better success this year.

Fognini was always a super talented player but mentally all over the place. Clay is his favorite surface and older he gets he gets more stable. Yes he is missing a lot of the flair he had couple of years ago but I wouldn't bet against in this RG. Better to just watch his matches.

With time to contemplate this after 24 hours I suppose you are right about Medvedev,
what added to the shock/surprise/news was the way he lost to this unknown guy.

Of which Seyboth Wild, he plays again tomorrow as the favourite against Pella, it
will be interesting to see if he can back up his win...

On Fognini, he is an interesting character, frustrating to watch sometimes and
very talented, but yea the mental side was lacking
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 30, 2023, 09:50:07 PM
I watched Medvedev match for 15 minutes and placed a bet on Wild @ 4.85 odds.

It's amazing how big Medvedev's drop in quality is when nothing goes his way. If he just stayed calm, he'd have won eventually - but it's always the same with him.
He started well on clay this year and then fell apart in the most important tournament.

I expected so much more from him a few years ago. Nowadays I just try to place some high odds bets against him.
Thats an awesome bet and a big win. Not everyone have got the courage to go at these high odds when the player involved is on the top line.

From the scoring pattern, it looks like he's out of control from the very beginning. The first two sets reaching the tie breaker itself shows how good Seyboth Wild have
played against Medvedev. The efforts in the first two sets would've made Medvedev tiresome to play in the consecutive sets 76-65 66-78 2-6 6-3 6-4.

Based on the he plays, there are more chances of winning bets against him if watched closer.

Well nobody expected that Medvedev would lose in the first round of a huge grand slam even tho its on clay. Seyboth Wild played an amazing match and even tho Medvedev won a tournament on clay he still is terrible on that surfice and still needs to work on his gameplay on clay.

Unbelievable result from this guy Seyboth Wild, and actually an unbelievable result
from Medvedev, its a massive turnaround from such good results this year on clay.

Great bet cryptofrka on this new guy, lovely payout @ 4.85.

My only bet today which landed was on Ruud under 28.5

For tomorrows bets I'm doing 2 straight bets: Musetti to beat Shevchenko @ 1.27
and Norrie to beat Pouille @ 1.26
1169  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who else thinks Dogecoin will become the reserve currency on Mars? on: May 30, 2023, 01:13:04 PM
I'm genuinely serious.

Ah damn, I came in here because I thought this was going to be a joke thread...

The only reason to want Doge as the reserve currency on Mars is that it fulfills everyones
hopes of getting rich.

People are clutching to Elon Musk in the hopes he delivers the Doge dream.

If and a very big IF Doge was to become what that on Mars none of us will be alive
to realise it.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 30, 2023, 09:12:43 AM
Just looking at the matches today...Zverev v Harris is coming up soon and Harris is
massive underdog @ 11.0, his favourite surface is hard courts, and currently has a w/l
ration on clay of 30/36

but Zverev has not been performing well lately, we have talked about it  here on and off.

I think Harris is worth a €1 bet.

I am also backing Ruud and Medvedev to go under 28.5 and 30,.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 29, 2023, 08:36:10 PM
a really nice day of tennis... the result that amazed me the most was the victory of fognini against FAA in just three sets.
it wasn't even that impossible. the canadian player is injured (knee and shoulder) and recently hasnt been performed well...

Sinner of course seems favorite against Muller with really low odds (I have seen even 1.02 ... ) Lets see the match I am pretty sure beautiful tennis to be played Wink for him

Thats a pity for FAA although Fognini has been doing wellby his standards recently.
I wonder why FAA bothered playing if he was injured? I mean he could have ended up making
the injury worse . . .

Easy enough day at the office for Sinner against Muller, 6-1, 6-4 and 6-1. Did anyone bet on
handicaps on that match? Likewise for Alcaraz against Cobolli, he won 6-0, 6-2 and 7-5.

Mismatches like that early on in a tournament can give good returns I recon.
1172  Economy / Collectibles / Re: please use TalkImg - imgur deletes all images on: May 29, 2023, 05:32:11 PM
IS it just me....or have all the old threads with the IMGUR images back? I checked a few and it looks like we are back in business.

I am glad as some images that I posted years ago...I do not have anymore and it would taken considerable time to place new ones!

No k, I think Imgur "is back", I thought I saw a thread about it here on the forum a while back,
cant find it now.

I have never used Imgur so I'm not that concerned but I get its a PITA for a lot of members
here. I have been using Talkimg for a few weeks as have many so I think we should continue
to use it going forward because its dedicated to our own forum.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: May 29, 2023, 09:55:22 AM
Saving money in a bank is nonsensical! the money you put in is like a "block of ice" melting
away in your back garden as quoted by Michael Saylor!

Even in Europe with the interest rates being increased 4 or 5 times this year so far, banks are
passing those increases on to their loans and mortgages but not or not fully to deposits.

While the banks advertise to get your money and make it sound like they do you a favour
they really only suit themselves.

Bitcoin is a very sound alternative to bank deposits/savings,.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 28, 2023, 11:11:08 PM
Ah yes, Musetti got the job done in 3 sets, fairly straight forward for him. Hopefully he
can go far this year. He plays Shevchenko next and ahould win that also.

Tsitsipas was playing today against Veselý and got the job done in 4 sets, but just about
won the tie break in the fourth set 7-9. He plays Carballés Baena next and should win that
but yea with Tsitsipas anything can happen.

Big boys play tomorrow!
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World's First Kids Cartoon about Bitcoin on: May 28, 2023, 03:51:47 PM
I like this because I think something like this is also not only useful for children but it is still very useful for us, especially beginners even if it is an adult.
There are so many points that can be taken from this cartoon even though the focus is bitcoin but I also saw some shitcoins brought by influencers which of course you will understand who it is Cheesy as well as a little sarcastic about NFTs which is very deep actually.

However, this is one way that is actually quite boring to do especially for people who don't really like literacy but with cartoons like this in addition to entertaining this can also be used as a medium in the learning we do on bitcoin.

indeed! even for adult beginners this will be very useful for them to orient themselves with bitcoin. you don't need to introduce too much technical stuffs as they are just trying to understand about this new tech. it is like introducing in a dumb friendly environment.
the link though is not working for me so just go to YT link of the Tuttle Twins - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ekzsZZGfsk

Correct, anyone can learn from this cartoon. Its very well done I have ro say. The
creators had a bit of fun with it including Elin Musk strapped to a rocket,
Doge and Shiba Inu fighting it out early on in the story.

Anyway for kids they will absorb this and remember whwn the time comes to make
a decision and get actually involved with Bitcoin because the story is interesting.
1176  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RACISM on: May 28, 2023, 08:33:53 AM
It will be difficult to get rid of for sure. Humans are not born racist, children learn, somebody
at some stage teaches them to hate and discriminate against others.

Education is an important tool in the fight against Racism.

Unacceptable behaviour should also be called out and stricter punishment should be handed
out. A lot of people while expressing racist behaviour dont believe they are racist so there is also
a degree of ignorance in the world.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union 🏉 League 🏆 Super 6/7s Pro14, Cups & Tours | Olympics | Touch.... on: May 28, 2023, 08:21:30 AM
Union - URC

And Munster in a typical fashion come out on top in a close game and won 14 - 19 with
a converted try a couple of minutes from full time.

That is a typical Munster win IMO, if you give them the slightest hint of disrespect they
will punish you, or if they are written off before an important game they can prove
you wrong.

Overall its been a great season for Munster, they came from a very shaky start to the URC
and end up unlikely champions . . . and one of their former talisman's coaches La Rochelle to
champions of the Heineken Champions Cup - Ranan O'Gara!

1178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RACISM on: May 27, 2023, 06:09:13 PM
I cannot understand how people can discriminate against others because of their religion,
their sexuality, their nationality or the colour of their skin.

I know that it comes down to ignorance, fear, misinformation and just hatred
a lot of the time, otherwise there is no reason that I can see.

I recon a lot if the time if you put two people in a room together and let them learn about
each others life there would be more understanding and empathy particularly on the side of
the racist, that is my 2 satoshi's

1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 27, 2023, 03:49:51 PM
Just looking at the line ups for tomorrows very busy first round day of Roland Garros
and there are some really tough draws for some of the well known players.

Kokkinakis v Evans - could go either way

McDonald v Korda - Korda could lose this, his season this year so far is very low key

Shelton v Sonego - could go either way

Musetti v Ymer - Ymer has to prove himself a bit after his explosion during the week and
being disqualified, but its going to be tough against Musetti.

1180  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Adolf Hitler old man pic and passport. He came to Argentina and got hidden in... on: May 27, 2023, 07:00:23 AM
Argentina was a popular destination for Nazi's to escape to after the fall of the Third Reich
and Mossad agents were successful in identifying them and bringing them to justice but
for sure if Hitler had gone to Argentina Mossad would have found him.

Surely some of the high ranking Nazi's who were apprehended in Argentina would have
known if Hitler was there and would have definitely told about his whereabouts in order to
try and save themselves?

These stories although very interesting are just conspiracy theories.
