That launch would have been historic and it will be very historic when it launches.

Musk and SpaceX have revolutionised the industry by being able to reuse the rockets
multiple times and the same will be the case for Starship, a super heavy rocket and the fact
its reusable makes launching this massive rocket feasable.

1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's NOT a good time to invest in BTC. on: April 17, 2023, 11:40:10 AM
Do you have to wait for anything before you should start to DCA. For people that do not know much about signals, reading charts and knowing fundamental analysis, they can start to DCA and continue to DCA. I have been thinking that bitcoin will get to all-time-high that would be over $100000 next, that means that starting to accumulate at $30000 is not too late.

This is not trading, holders do not have much business with fundamental trading just as it is explained in the OP, holders should focus on the fact that the price of bitcoin is not yet still too high and buying weekly or daily with certain little amount of money is better than to miss the next bull run.

Thats it, if anyone has an outlook to the future as in long term and not get caught up
on 2023 or 2024 then buying Bitcoin can happen anytine.

Buy now, buy tomorrow and if the price drops - buy again, DCA is the way to go.

So long as central banks and the FED play around with devaluing FIAT and the interest
rates hopefully more people will realise Bitcoin cannot be messed with outside its trading value.

Big congratulations to Rublev!

He finally has his Masters 1000 title. He said after the match that his mental attitude
was different now than it was in previous 1000's tournaments, it really comes
down to belief and to never give up until the last point is scored, for or against.

It shows because he came back in that last set from 4-1 down to win 5-7!

Thats the belief and never give up attitude, delighted for him and his new team.
Must admit I did not think he has it in him to take a big tournament. Yeah he has the quality and he can win against anybody on his day but over the course of 5 or more matches he usually has a bad day sooner or later. And Rublev on bad day is not even top 50 player, he just doesn't have plan B if his shots aren't doing it.

Yes thats what my wife said yesterday, he is kind of one dimensional, the main issue
until now was his mental strength. Maybe and hopefully his new team will be able to
help him develop his play and his head.

The Barcelona tournament starts today and for either today or tomorrow I dont see
him listed to play. He did say right after the match yesterday that he didnt want
to think of Tennis, he was so tired...

6 wins from 7 outings for the Broncos is impressive, never would have guessed they would
be in top spot at this stage, although there have been a lot of unexpected results thus far!

What the hell was that result by the Panthers on Saturday to only win from the Knights by
1 point....strange after the previous 2 weeks winning with big margins.

No upsets in the weekends games really, Leinster as expected won away but only
by 3 points, Munster also won away and all other games had home wins!

Last round coming up this weekend . . .

1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Laszlo Hanyecz see it as 10,000 BTC or as $41? on: April 16, 2023, 08:42:43 AM
That being said, my emphasis is on how Laszlo saw and valued his bitcoin as of then. Obviously he had more than 10,000 bitcoin for him to offer to buy. I don't think he bought with his whole bitcoin. Meanwhile I read somewhere that Laszlo earned upto 100,000 bitcoin while mining with other early progrmmers and adopters of bitcoin.

I believe that Laszlo saw his 10,000 bitcoin as $41 and not as 10,000 BTC.  AND that is how many of us see bitcoin today and including myself. In 10yrs time, we could have thousands of Laszlos among bitcoiners, but the difference is that we won't make history as Laszlo did.

OR he seen it as PIZZA

much like people view their bitcoin as future lambo's or mansions

Thats it, past present and future, we all have spent, are spending and will at some
tome spend Bitcoin in exchange for something else we want or need.

In todays eyes we see 10,000 BTC as an astronomical FIAT value, Laszlo saw a
chance to buy pizza with Bitcoin. Its easy to overlook that concept and focus on the now.

It is a moment in Bitcoin time, a historical point but we are everyday making those
moments for people in the future to look back at our transactions.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 16, 2023, 08:17:41 AM
Sinner was not able to close the match and Rune has been able to win... each time this player is strongly unpredictable at least to me Grin

well in the second and third set the danish player was playing again at high level and not like the first set where he was a "ghost" with a lot of unforced errors.
Sinner has been able to recover a break point but against player of this rank he need more for a win... lets see an interesting final between Rublev and Rune!

I got to watch parts of both semi finals, Rublev did unbelievably well, he left the
court after losing the first set in a rage but came back on to blast through the second set
6-1, that is an indication of what he can do with the right mentality, he did well to overcome
his negativity and go on to win the match, I hope he wins today but I fear Rune will be just that
bit more effective.

He showed serious fighting spirit against Sinner. Sinner was unbelievable in the first set,
almost perfect Tennis, but second and third sets he had way to many unforced effors.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 16, 2023, 06:46:39 AM
I don't understand and don't like what Elon Musk thinks and what he does with things he touches. His opinions are flexible, convenient and sometimes very problematic, and occasionally he just seems to do something because he can, while those actions can impact a lot of people. Like just a couple of weeks ago Musk replaces the Twitter Bird with the Shiba Inu, but then several days later the bird was thankfully back. He also initiated acceptance of Bitcoin for Tesla cars a while ago but decided against it a few months later due to potential environmental concerns. Considering such behaviour, I don't take the eToro partnership idea seriously. The partnership is allegedly a part of Musk's idea of making Twitter the "everything app", which is itself something I don't think is a good and reasonable thing to do.

I agree with you, anything crypto related which Musk has gotten directly involved in
has proven to be controvercal and somewhat short lived, I feel if this partnership with
eToro IF it comes to fruition would also be short lived, he could decide to pull the plug
on it at anytime. Knowing this about Musk would eToro get involved?

Has eToro even commented or confirmed on this new partnership?
1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin by selling wife's jewelry on: April 15, 2023, 02:09:35 PM
I hope that you at least asked your wife permission to sell it
Yes I definitely took my wife's permission to sell jewellery, but happily I sold 1700 dollars worth of jewelery and returned the rest of the gold to my wife without selling it. Today I have grown that $1700 to over $2000. Making $300 profit by selling my wife's jewelry is a real joy because if I had kept the gold I would not have made the $300 profit. Now my regret is that I did not sell the rest of the gold and returned it to my wife. If I had kept it invested in bitcoins instead of giving it back to my wife, I would have made much more profit today.

You did right!
And well done to your wife for making the decision and realising there were gains to be made.
As I said in my last post in this thread, they are only material posessions, they can be replaced,
obviously there are items with "sentimental" value which are more difficult to replace.

You will certainly see bigger gains by HODLING you Bitcoin than Holding Gold!

Dont worry about the market price now, HODL for the future!

Lot 2: 0.0005
Lot Y: 0.0005

Thanks for the auction bitbollo and congrats to giammangiato. I take it that these were all produced
with BIC pen as per the first project?

Great collection of work and a nice bonus of the Moore's Head note too for all the auction winners.

In the doubles the team of Fritz and Rune have pulled out, they are obviously giving priority
to their singles competition. Imagine they could very well meet each other in the final!

They are both underdogs in their respective matches, Sinner in a big favourite to beat
Rune, 1.49 - 2.6.

Rublev v Fritz as odds go is closer 1.86 v 1.91 - that could go either way really, but my head
says Fritz.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union 🏉 League 🏆 Super 6/7s Pro14, Cups & Tours | Olympics | Touch.... on: April 15, 2023, 07:20:29 AM
I have emptied the remainder of my wallet on the Panthers to win by 13.5 points! which I
think they should do, they are making up for a shaky start to the season. Look at their
last two wins, +41 against the Raiders and +32 against the Sea Eagles.

The Warriors beat the Cowboys earlier 22-14, the Cowboys are F'd and remarkably
the Warriors are in #2 spot on the ladder behind the Broncos.

And what about Storm losing yesterday to the Sea Eagles?
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 14, 2023, 09:51:02 PM
Sinner has won really easy against Musetti. Probably Musetti was "tired" from the last match against Djokovic (?) but Sinner is actually in a good shape. Against Rune it would be interesting a match... both players are "the future" of this sport Roll Eyes

Agreed, both players are definitely making their mark on the game, really hard to pick
a winner from this matchup, eventhough I would love Sinner to win, Rune has been
impressive so far, I think the winner of this matchup will win the tournament.

And another note, Fritz did really well to beat Tsitsipas, Frits is also an improved player!
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 14, 2023, 06:08:00 AM
I saw the last set between Medvedev and Zverev and it was a bit of a roller coaster, lots
of times where I said "ah Zverev has it now" and also "Medvedev is going to win"

Is Zverev back to his former level yet though?

Medvedev plays Rune next and after the match said he has trained with Rune many
times but failed to beat him on clay! This match could be a better test as to how Medvedev
has progressed on clay.
1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union 🏉 League 🏆 Super 6/7s Pro14, Cups & Tours | Olympics | Touch.... on: April 13, 2023, 08:19:05 PM
...well the Dolphins were looking good up until half time! but then the Rabbitohs played
for real in the second half and held the Dolphins scoreless.

I'm thinking the Dolphins run has come to an end and the Rabbitohs are hitting their
stride now and have found their form.

I have gone with Storm also for tomorrow.

Union

R17 of the United Rugby Championship is up and running again while the Heineken
Champions Cup takes a break.

We are coming to the end of the rounds and will be heading into the finals  after
R18. While the race is on to get into and stay in the top 8 for the finals there is also
the competition to get into next years Heineken Champions Cup. This round
sees a good few mismatches, top of the table playing the bottom of the table.

An interesting matchup is the Lions in 11th spot playing Leinster in 1st, its pretty much
evens - 1.9 v 1.91 - thats a great price for Leinster who I cant see losing.....hmmm
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 13, 2023, 05:58:34 PM
Sinner has won the match against Hurkacz. The first set was win by the polish player but lately there was not match (at least on third set with a strong win of 6-1 !)
About Italians player, the former winner of Wimbledon, Berrettini again out of the game! It seems that he was injured and he has left the tournament Sad Terrible year for the player Sad

Italian tennis is in a great place with Sinner leading the way but BIG KUDOS to
Musetti who just beat Djokovic over 3 sets, now if Zverev can despatch Medvedev
we have a very interesting tournament ahead!

Its a pity for Berrettini, its bad luck that he is plagued by injury, such great talent.
He really needs to get fixed up and playing competitively again.
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett Blasts Bitcoin as 'Gambling Token' as BTC Surges 35% in 30 Days on: April 13, 2023, 06:38:25 AM
Its funny isnt it, that the well known critics of Bitcoin crawl out of the woodwork as soon as
the Bitcoin market does something interesting.

I heard a quick 20 second report on the radio about Bitcoin hitting a 10 month high of
$30,000 in a "currencies and markets" slot but the reporter had to balance that news stating
how volatile it was and gave the example of the ATH of $69,000 crashing back to $16,000.

They always have to spin some negativity into their talknof Bitcoin.

Main thing is that the market is not as sensitive to that anymore.

News out today is that World Rugby is considering introducing an "Orange Card"

https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/rugby/arid-41114734.html

Information is a bit sketchy or minimal, my understanding that the idea is that a player
issued with an Orange card leaves the field for an initial 10 minutes while the TMO reviews
the fowl play and has the option to bump the Orange to Red or not!

So does that mean there would be 3 cards...
Yellow - 10 minute sin bin
Orange - 10 minute sin bin while under review
Red - immediate dismissal

?

NRL

Bit of a dilemma for the first game in R7 tomorrow...
While the Rabbitohs are favourites they have had a sketchy start to the season,
can the Dolphins who are 4.2 for a win tomorrow beat the Rabbitohs?
1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is a light on: April 12, 2023, 06:12:43 PM
As long as it's good and meets their needs, people will buy it without promotion. In contrast, poor quality products always offer advertising programs and discounts to attract consumers. Bitcoin is good enough, and it just takes time for people to realize and find it.
A bit off topic, but this is not entirely through in the world of business. A good product would not market itself, it would only be able to retain those who find it. If you have a good product In a highly competitive niche, you will definitely need proper marketing and branding to make that product appealing to the potential customers. Customers do not magically find that way to you.

Bitcoin however is not a business, it needs users that believe in what it stands for, or have verified it's protocol and find it useful, not just an investment market.

Two good points

On one hand it is good to introduce new people to Bitcoin, its a form of marketing I suppose.

But on the other hand the message portrayed needs to be more than just "buy Bitcoin and
watch your investment grow"

Bitcoin for sure is a beacon of light in todays financial world where dark things have
been going on and are still going on, people need to realise the benefits Bitcoin offers.
1320  Other / Off-topic / Re: The scary incursion of AI chat GPT... on: April 12, 2023, 12:24:12 PM

Chat GPT is an interesting innovation for the ordinary minds. But for individuals like myself, that crap is damn scary and anti-educationist!

Exactly, why would anyone bother learning anything if you can just consult Chat GPT
and let it generate content for you to use, copy/paste.

The recent inclusion of chatgtp4 or better known as AI domination is one that is a revelation to the lazy folks who think it's adoption is to help them remain relevant.
With every passing subjects, these AI bots become smarter, and don't think that the consequences would be evaded. We see loss of human jobs and a systemic inclusion of Ai in decision making and analytics.
I love the idea, but it seems more like a cheat code to the complexities we as humans are exposed to at a time.
No doubt tech is advancing fast, but we should remember that if AI should take away human jobs, enough time would be spent fighting and quarrelling and this could result in WW3.

I agree with you.
Personally I think humans in general will become useless, AI will be employed to do
more and more so that all humans have to do is eat, shit, watch TV and sleep.

Humans will become so dopey through lack of knowledge, AI will firstly learn, they
will generate everything for us that there will be no need to do anything for ourselves.

Humans getting dumber while machines get smarter
