I watched the first set only of Struff v Karatsev and thought Struff wasnt going to be able to win with a second chance against the Russian. I was surprised to see the result this morning, another massive win by the German.
Is anyone gonna speculate a bet on Struff to take the title? He is a massive 8.6 on Rollbit.
On the womens side its Swiatek v Sabalenka, that should be a cracking match, Sabalenka has been very consistent for a while now and Swiatek has been really great in Madrid and is favourite.

Thanks for the link Timelord, I will check that out over the weekend!
NRL I have to say the Broncos are a different team to last year, thats a great win against another top team.
Union - URC Big big win this evening by the underdogs Connacht playing away to Ulster, the #2 team on the table. I actually didnt get my bet placed, when I listened to some Rugby pundits today they all fancied Ulster but that Connacht would run them close, so I had decided to go with Connacht but the game was t listed 🤷

I'm not looking that far ahead in the NRL.
I have 3 bets on this round, all favourites, and they better start winning...and keep winning!
Broncos to beat the Sea Eagles (thats playing now) Panthers to beat the Warriors (that should be safe, but yea look at the previous rounds???) Sharks to beat the Dolphins
I might do the Roosters to beat the Cowboys who have been shocking so far, thats for Sunday.

Just watched the final set of Struff v Tsitsipas, and Tsitsipas is out in 3 sets! and again as we talked about he fails to being the killer instinct which Alcaraz has when the going is tough in the match.
Struff did well, his service game was quite good, lots of aces and he actually has a good record against Tsitsipas. He has been unlucky with injuries and is 33! so kind of deserves this semi final spot.
Funny thing about his next match is that he meets the guy who beat him in the qualifiers, Karatsev ! (struff got through the qualifiers after been beaten as a lucky looser)

I do not have much Bitcoin currently but I am planning to convert a lot of the profits I make in my altcoins during the bull run into BTC which I will then hold till the 2028/29 bull run.
I expect Bitcoin to reach at least $100k at the peak of the next bull run, possibly $150k.
Just wondering what we are all planning to do when Bitcoin does reach $100k - are you selling or are you holding till the 2028/29 bull run?
You are thinking too much in advance about Bitcoin. You expect Bitcoin to reach at least $100k or possibly $150k at the peak of the next bull run. You didn't mention how many years that is possible.Do you have any idea how many more years it might take compared to the current value of Bitcoin? I have always considered bitcoins primarily as savings. Since Bitcoin is the top of all coins, I think Bitcoin will become the global currency.when bitcoin price reaches 100K I will sell some bitcoins. Without getting into the whole speculation thing about Bitcoin, it could be $100,000 by the end of next year, so not too long away. When it hits $100k I will only do something with Bitcoin if it is a necessity only. Maybe I will trade some to buy back in the bear market at a later stage. Otherwise I will continue to HODL. There will be tough times coming so I wont be just spending Bitcoin for the sake of it or because it reaches a milestone.

-snip Well, Alcaraz won 6:4, 7:5 but Khachanov also played really well.
winning when you are not playing great is a real champion, and that is what missing in Tsitsipas or Medvedev Alcaraz made it through this round, Coric is SF, and probably Tsitsipas in final, looking at other half of the draw Tsitsipas is a good bet today, but has no value, due to low odds, he should certianly win, but 2:0 is not his usual, so handicap option is not good and winning odds are low And we have seen it so many times with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic where they come close to losing a match but are able to dig deep, never give up and fully believe they can rescue a possible lost match. Alcaraz clearly has it, Tsitsipas and Medvedev I believe have that attitude but dont have that extra talent, Medvedev has it on hard courts though, clay is not his favourite type of playing surface.

^ That is such a classy note, gets across a lot of bitcoin messages. I also love the Polymerbit notes, very collectible and there are many different designs. Here is a reference thread but some of the newer releases are not listed. Its a great resource particularly for the early notes. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2393303.0I also love the Bitcoin Suisse notes too, lovely designs, very unique. So yea Polymerbit and Bitcoin Suisse are well worth getting into.

I wasn't paying attention when I put a small wager on England to win last weekend. They did and it was a Rugby League game too! (Plus it was by 30+ points!)
All for $1.90 odds. I don't usually bet on spreads - they're very unpredictable like parlays - one loss and the whole lot goes up in smoke.
Hopefully Sunday I'll be able to play catch up with the various games that are on? 🤔

Was that the 64-0 win over France in the mid season internationals? That is some hammering. Is France that bad and are England that good? I dont know anything about international Rugby League. Union United Rugby Championship. The Quarter Finals get under was on Friday with two Irish teams facing off Ulster v Connacht. Tis is a home game for Ulster and they are big favourites for this at 1.22 against Connacht 4.1. I would love to see Connacht win this but I think its a big ask. The other quarter finals are: Stormers v Bulls Leinster v Sharks Warriors v Munster Leinster are unbackable at 1.07. I think I'll bet on Ulster, Stormers and Munster.

Some people don't see Bitcoin as a normal currency and think it's too risky because its value can change a lot.
This is simply what the government wants us to believe. They believe volatility only happens to bitcoin. People hardly believe that the value of fiat declines rather they think it is the price of commodities that is going up. Not only the risk of it changing value but people believe that anything that is not regulated by the government is not going to come good and they have related such mentality to bitcoin. Thats it, generally people see inflation as products going up when in fact its the FIAT devaluing. In terms of Bitcoin it has had many years of bad press and constant attacks from investment institutions, banks, governments and main stream media so its understandable that generally people would be negative towards Bitcoin. For traders I imagine volatility is kind of a necessity, thats where gains and losses can be made and as a non trader if you have a long term outlook with Bitcoin volatility is a non issue. Where it gets dangerous is when inexperience and speculation meet along with going "all in" on the short term.

Nice win by Karatsev against Medvedev. 7-6 / 6-4. Despite he was not the favorite of the day he performed really well, he has made a great match today with just few errors. Medvedev again not in a perfect shape (probably he has some cold?) and not able to perform at highest level as usual. By the way it seems he will be present in Roma ! https://www.internazionalibnlditalia.com/players/daniil-medvedev/ Medvedev has still a good bit to go to be consistent on clay even though he was seeded number 2 for this tournament. Alcaraz v Zverev ended in a massive anti-climax for anyone hoping Zverev was going to be a worthy challenger - 6-1 & 6-2. In these rounds of 16 the only top seeds left to play are Tsitsipas 2, Fritz 8and Khachanov 10, I cant see any of them beating Alcarav and taking the title. This should be a repeat of the last final with Alcaraz and Tsitsipas getting there. Draw was a bit weak from the start and nobody really with the form and game good enough to seriously threaten them. Maybe Khachanov on his best day but clay isn't really his favorite surface. I hope you guys made some money on Medvedev, he isn't even top 20 player when clay is the surface and I am taking handicaps against him in every round and then ML as soon as he has proper opponent. I think I just lost one bet ever in this way and that was when he won against Zverev recently. Yes, Barcelona Alcaraz beat Tsitsipas 6-3 and 6-4, What can Tsitsipas do this time around to overcome Alcaraz? Re Medvedev, no I havent been betting either way on him and eventhough I have been watching bits and bobs of certain matches I actually havent bet that much on the Madrid tournament. My last bet was Friday on Musetti but he got beaten by Hanfmann which was disappointing after his decent run at Barcelona to get to the semi final there.

This chart is interesting, but why should anyone care about it? Does this mean we should follow the same path? Do you think that's what will happen next? Because I doubt it, many traders on Youtube are using the past market structure of Bitcoin to judge the future of Bitcoin movement.
While this Bitcoin movement is similar to that of 2015, I will not wait for this to occur exactly the same way; instead, I will keep buying Bitcoin every week, at whatever price I find it when weekends come around. In the past, I have failed to target the bottom price for Bitcoin, and that is why I have lost. The answer is no one knows what will happen next, so I prefer to keep buying rather than try to determine what might happen and what might not happen.
The charts are interesting but many times Bitcoin has broken the expectations based on previous events and months. They are only a guide or something to base our speculations on, we have to use something! The last month I speculated on was March and I based it on the fact that it was a "bad" month because most years March was a Red one and look what it did this year the opposite! this can be seen on dansus021's chart I voted for May to be Green but really its anyones guess.

In terms of physical Bitcoins and particularly Bitcoin in the form of collectibles like Casascius coins as the OP mentioned. It has happened recently with the ColdCard products where the maker kept alot of the private keys to the funded cards he sold, the thread is here for anyone looking to find out > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434506.0Unfortunately this sort of thing throws a question mark over the idea of letting someone else fund coins with your own Bitcoin. Like anything keeping your personal items safe and secure is important because there are people out there who just cannot be trusted. This includes keeping the private key safe and secure. There have been many threads about this topic... Stainless steel Bitcoin Recovery Seed PlateRecommendations to store my seed phrase!!

European Champions Cup Rugby (Heineken Cup)
Second semi final went with the game favourites La Rochelle, they beat Exeter Chiefs 47-28 to set up a replay of 2022 final with Leinster.
That final went the way of the French side, 21-24. That final was played in France, this the final will take place in Ireland, this year should be Leinsters. I have them to win this title.

The match between Rune and Fokina in progress. Fokina leads winning first set of the match 77-61. The match is in favour of Rune, but the first set have gone into the hands of Fokina. Rune needs to make a comeback and it looks like the match will move to the third set. More interesting waiting for the day, Lajovic vs Struff, Fritz vs Garin. Already Alcaraz and Zverv reached round of 16, gonna play tomorrow.
Davidovich Fokina beat Rune in 3 sets. It was a close game and I am delighted for Fokina. Rune is a controversial player, there was drama again during this match. Fokina challenged a line call and was in discussion about it with the supervisor and Rune appeared to erase the ball mark which sent the home crowd mad, they continued to be on Rune's case throughout the match. I'm not a fan of him really, he acts like a spoiled brat.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this proposal and any ideas you may have for its implementation.
My teachers, I think I will really love things to be done the same old way. The search option is here for us to use and navigate around the forum, and things are being done manually just as they are being done. I think this forum is respected the way it is today because of the way things are being done manually by individuals opinions; everyone shares ideas; problems are being solved from different users experiences and ideas on every particular matter; no machine or AI is involved in gathering information to conclude what is what. In my opinion, I think the forum is just better off the way it is. There are lots of members here to help show newbies around and correct them if errors are being made. Spam is not moderated, but it is also manually detected with solid proof by members who are here. I'm with you on this. I dont think we need AI on the forum. Why do some people wany AI attached to everything. If it keeps going the way they want? Leave the forum as it is, is it really that difficult to spend a little time searching the forum, interacting with it? I think there will be a lot of people in the future who wont be able to do as much for themselves as can be done now.

There is no getting around it, if you dont have a vaccine you are not getting into the country so that rules out Djokovic. I cant see him at this stage getting a vaccine in order to play the US Open but his stance on the vaccine has really disrupted his career over the last 3 years.
I wonder if he will look back in a few years and wonder if he had done things differently would he have clocked up many more wins, a few more GS's, a lot more prize money and retaining the number 1 slot for longer?
