581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when BTC hits max number of coins on: September 10, 2017, 12:07:27 AM
I don't think the world will be around by then. There are too many nutjobs with nukes out there so we'll probably all explode around... oh idk 2060-2085. Somewhere in between there. So don't worry about what would happen with bitcoins. Some alien lifeforms will take it over.
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China thoughts and data. Much more impact than we think?! on: September 09, 2017, 11:19:48 PM
Well not to burst your bubble but this was all for nothing as no Chinese exchange is closing. It was just some idiot on some paid article.

583  Economy / Services / Re: Forum Posting on: September 09, 2017, 10:19:43 PM
You creating a post like this isn't the best way to get back to forum posting. If you want to post on bitcointalk and earn some bitcoins just join a signature campaign. Random spamming will get you banned though, if not from the forum then at the very least the signature campaign.
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please help me to understand what is happening right now. The value of my bitcoi on: September 09, 2017, 10:12:19 PM
Hahaha what the hell? This guy is worried because he lost $10? Holy shit. Welcome to bitcointalk. Hahaha. I lost... more than $10. I feel like it's going to be ok. BTCC even confirmed they are still operating normally and haven't heard anything from any regulators. I just posted there! It's fake news! Spread the word!! You'll get those$10 back asap and then your $200 worth of bitcoins will double.
585  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTCChina Exchange is operating normally; no new directives from regulators on: September 09, 2017, 09:59:28 PM
BTCChina Exchange is operating normally, and has not received any new directives from Chinese regulators. We'll keep you updated.

Woohoo! So far it's all just fake news and bad translating. Wonderful! Glad to hear it! Thanks for the update!! I'll be sure to stock up on this dip.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the Bitcoin's Market Cap determined? on: September 09, 2017, 09:57:14 PM
I don't think anyone has dumbed it down for you enough yet.

Say we have 17 million bitcoins in existence (I know. I'm a little ahead of myself). If each of those was worth $10,000 the market cap would be 170 billion.

To really dumb it down: if a stock has 1000 shares and each is worth $10, that stock's market cap is $10,000.
587  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (Have)PayPal[verified]|&|(Want/Need)Skrill or Neteller Exchange[or Paysafecard] on: September 09, 2017, 09:53:36 PM
No matter what paypal is reversible so you're going to have a very tough time buying anything on bitcointalk with no reputation. I'd offer something less likely to be instantly refunded to you at the drop of a hat.
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE CHINESE NEWS, DO NOT SELL FROM FEAR, HODL TO THE MOON on: September 09, 2017, 03:03:21 AM
My plan is to HODL yes, it's just very frustrating seeing that I invested at the right time (as we were on a steady recovery after the $5k dip) from 4.6k up to 4.7k and then the chinese came along and starting chatting shit about ICO regulations (which I am aware does not include BTC, although many think it does hence the panic sell) and then just as we recover back to 4.6k testing 4.7k again they come out and start saying they're going to shut down all exchanges. It's just saddening to see the political class trying to manipulate the markets for their own gain, it's obvious they're just doing it to make people panic sell and then buy back in cheaper. Thankfully, the price seems to have stabilised now around the 4.3k mark, touchwood. I love the community of BTC and the passion of it's owners, as well as the fact the currency itself is not controlled by banks or centralised institutions. I want to sell out when I break even, wait for the next crash (which will happen) and then buy back in with more capital (around $10k). If Bitcoin doesn't crash again, there's plenty of altcoins for profit potential; so I think I'm doing a smart thing here, any comments?

Yeah it sucks when you made a good buy then idiots come and crap all over it. I'd stay at least partly in bitcoins if you're thinking about alts because they usually follow the price of bitcoins.
589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will the big three be banned? on: September 09, 2017, 02:59:36 AM
I just don't understand how this news would come out when Asians were asleep! It doesn't make sense. If one article says that China is banning bitcoins that doesn't mean a lot until they prove it.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: Mental barrier stops from buying BTC on: September 09, 2017, 02:55:20 AM
I just keep HODLing and they keep going up. Just hoard and hoard and never spend then you never need to worry about the dips when you're at 1000% profit.
591  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Want to make up $7,500 for helping me reach out to Poloniex? on: September 09, 2017, 02:50:23 AM
This is honestly just so sad that you even need to do this. Poloniex should be ashamed. 50 days with no answer?  Even with 5 staff members eventually you could just figure things out one by one. This is awful man. I wish I knew how to help. Try them on every single social media platform like Twitter, reddit, Facebook, LinkedIn idk. Just anything. I heard someone had success by reaching out to a higher up on LinkedIn. I'd try there as it's more direct contact.
592  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 satoshi = 1 US cent? In next 5 years? on: September 08, 2017, 03:08:53 AM
Your math skills are pretty terrible op. 500k each would be half a century per satoshi and $1mil would be 1 cent per satoshi. I highly highly doubt we'll see that price for 20-30 years. Maybe 10 or 15 but I doubt that very much.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitcoin remittance industry isn't really growing on: September 08, 2017, 02:58:54 AM
Fees too high.

When Bitcoin Cash takes over it will ramp up the remittance industry drastically.

Your altcoin talk can go into the altcoin portion of this forum. No one needs bitcoin cash.

People take a long time to figure out that something is better. People like to be stuck in ruts and without a pushy salesman and normal advertisements those sheeple will continue to do what they've always done.
594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be careful. (Newbies and others ...) on: September 08, 2017, 02:55:48 AM
Bitcoins aren't a hyped up stock. They aren't just people trying to profit. If you actually believe in the technology you'll never sell and only keep buying. It's worth so much more than $5000 each and if you don't understand why then you don't understand how your local money supply works.
595  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC - Where to buy? on: September 08, 2017, 02:50:22 AM
Your best option is localbitcoins. If you really can't use localbitcoins for whatever reason I guess coinbase with a credit card, but don't expect your bitcoins for over a week. It's a joke of an exchange.
596  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Used Blockchain Wallet But Didn't Received Bitcoins on: September 08, 2017, 02:46:54 AM
I tried searching out and this wallet address is no where showing in my wallet but I clicked on COPY Wallet Address to receive the payment.
How can a wallet address be copied and receive money but doesn't show in my wallet?
As the others have suggested, it might be that you have the clipboard virus that modifies addresses when copy/pasting bitcoin addresses...

As a test, select and copy this address: 1BvBMSEYstWetqTFn5Au4m4GFg7xJaNVN2 (it's the example address from the Bitcoin Wiki Wink)

Then try to paste that back into a reply here. Does it come up as 1BvBMSEYstWetqTFn5Au4m4GFg7xJaNVN2 or is it changing to another address when you paste? If it comes in as a different address, then you have the clipboard virus and should take appropriate measures (scan/clean... maybe reformat computer). It's quite possible that as you did this from b.info browser wallet, that it could be a rouge browser extension/plugin.
I dont assume that he have a virus on his pc since when i do saw the address on where those funds have been sent.Theres only one transaction on which those 440k sats have been sent. Its quiet odd that he didnt able to see the balance since its already confirmed.I would like to ask on op if hes sure on having the access on the said address? If yes, can you post a screenshot on where you do request for payment and that address came out? If its the same address then ts worth to send support ticket then if its not then you have a virus on your pc.

Yeah it doesn't sound like the clipboard virus, but I mean I guess it could be. It could also be that the Blockchain.info is having problems (as usual). You should get your funds out of blockchain.info before you get "hacked" by their shitty algo they use to create private keys.
597  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT freezing withdrawls on: September 03, 2017, 03:34:07 AM
Yobit is always one giant mess. How they have lasted this long is beyond me. I'd suggest only using credible exchanges from now on!
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 03:31:47 AM
They always sell them off for their good old American Dollars so I highly doubt they own the biggest bitcoin balance let alone a big one at all.
599  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io - ICO - $4.7 million raised, last week to take part! on: September 03, 2017, 03:30:00 AM
Huh I didn't realize this was going on. Not sure how I missed it. Obviously betking.io has been legit so I'll be looking this over now.
600  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 03, 2017, 03:24:40 AM
Smart people can be very stupid with money. Everyone is different though. If you're good with money it's because you've chosen an appropriate strategy for investing and it's doing well.
