581  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2019 Q2) on: April 15, 2019, 10:09:53 PM
I honestly don't know why you guys keep wasting time hunting people "abusing bounties with alts"... the managers obviously don't care, the projects don't seem to care... why do you? Huh
I totally agree with you. From my personal experience of managing a reputed bounty campaign, I was often warned and treated like shit by a senior manager who I was supposed to report to. I was managing the bounty but the payments were handled by this person who actually worked for that ICO. Whenever I was aggressive with the alt's, scammers and shit-posters, they said please don't be rude because you're putting our company's name at risk and I must respect all the participants. They so-called participants are shit-posting brain-dead idiots who can't write a line in English. So the bounty managers have to respect their 'Seniors' and not give many fucks about the alt's or whatever. Yes, it's a waste of time to link such accounts as managers don't even care about the trust ratings anymore.
582  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: poloniex.com scam on: April 15, 2019, 10:03:47 PM
https://poloniex.com/
I am verified member or poloniex. 2 weeks ago i try to sell ltc on their site and buy bitcoins. When i request withdraw they asked me to make selfie. I made it but they do not replied to me. Its scam site now. Do not use them
They're not a scam site, or at least your case doesn't look like a scam. They might be verifying your selfie which often takes time. Have you tried contacting their support? You should get a clear update on your case through the support. You can close this thread for discussion at the moment and come back again when you hear something from the support.
583  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't this act be discourage? on: April 15, 2019, 10:01:08 PM
Considering the forum has already done her best by giving interested members an opportunity to earn by advertising for projects through avatar, personal profile message and signatures. what's your stand on forum users offering an advert space on their started threads. Should such practice be welcomed or discourage.
No, it shouldn't be discouraged. I don't see any reason why/how it will be against any of the forum rules. The service advertiser sees potential in a thread and chooses to advertise it. However, that thread is redundant since there are almost 10 threads in the same section listing out the bounty managers.
584  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SwissBorg Community App: Predict, Learn and Earn Bitcoin At Zero Risk. on: April 15, 2019, 09:47:31 PM
So what's the catch? I assume everything you mentioned above is true and despite you trying to doge Vod's questions about the money proof, how do you make money? You wouldn't just distribute bitcoins for free correct? How does your company make money?
585  Economy / Reputation / Re: The user has any hidden agenda? on: April 15, 2019, 09:21:47 PM
That's true lol He should have been banned from bitcointalk a long time ago but anyway, someone as smart as him would get famous again with a different user-name. As much I hate his intentions on bitcointalk, I like how he mentions this

With Great power comes great responsibility my child...... Wink
Not in bitcoin world. Responsibility for whom? I do not know you. You do not know me.
There is no third party who can punish me, because I am wrong and you are right.

Meaning you gotta take care of your own shit because the world out there is ruthless.

I will very likely have at least one open spot next week so if you want to join, check the thread on Sunday next week.

May you estimate a time for checking? Would consider putting an alarm then if its in the european midnight
lol what's next? Do you want someone to send you a personal notification as soon as a new spot is announced? Not like posting here first is going to ensure you'll be accepted.
588  Economy / Services / Re: Help me with this machine language problem. Get paid BTC in return. ENDS 4/15/19 on: April 10, 2019, 05:17:58 PM
Man, that is some work lol I remember having to write such code for 8086 processors and I always hated it. I could make this work but need some reference to study the sample programs or see how the registers function. If I come up with something, I'll post here.
589  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I got hacked by Electrum Official Wallet [0.10 BTC] on: April 10, 2019, 10:53:51 AM
It's not that Electrum isn't safe. People aren't safe.
How? I literally got attacked by the malware through Electrum.. You don't really verify stuff when you're using a particular application for months right? The vulnerability that was injected was part of bad coding or not enough penetration testing or whatever. It's an open source project so I don't really expect much. My point being, it's not that I wasn't safe, I just blindly trusted a pop-up that came from within an application I was using since ages.

Some guy found a small exploit on the way the client showed the error messages from the server, and they used that to make users go to a fake website and download an infected wallet. If the user has the idea on mind that only ELECTRUM.ORG is legit, he will never fall for this kind of stuff. This is more of a social engineering issue than a security issue. For now, Electrum is still pretty safe.
It's not a small exploit if it modifies the response from the server. Verifying the domain before downloading it yes that's my fault.

I am sorry for you lose Joel. Consider this as the price you paid for your lesson. We all were there.
Thanks man! As for now, I'm not using Electrum because I'm highly skeptical such exploits will not happen in the future.
590  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Team members for an upcoming ICO on: April 10, 2019, 10:33:00 AM
I pity the company that used your Pajeet service to market their ICO. No doubt they are going to regret it. What would one expect when they let a Pajeet with 0 experience and reputation let manage an ICO. Rest in Peace for the fallen soldiers who spent their 2 satoshi's to market their project.
591  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ddmrddmr on DT1 on: April 10, 2019, 09:46:50 AM
+1. There is no need to be in DT if you don't make trades or tag accounts when needed.
I disagree with that. One doesn't really need to be on a DT because they do trades on bitcointalk. The trust feedback left after successful trades by other traders speaks for them. Such feedback is enough for other members to consider them trustworthy. A suitable DT candidate should be the one that actively contributes to the forum, tags accounts as you said and helps in cleaning the forum off scammers. One can just be here for the trades and not spend enough time to do anything that helps the rest of the community. I don't think we want such members on the DT.
592  Other / Meta / Re: Hide my name on: April 10, 2019, 02:15:49 AM
For anyone like me who likes to stay away from the entire Tapermonkey/Greasemonkey stuff, I wrote my own extension which does that. I could put the extension up in the official Chrome store but it's not necessary since one can inject it locally and tweak the code according to your needs. Follow the steps given below.

1. Create a new directory, name it whatever you want.

2. Create a file manifest.json and add the below code to the file

Code:
{
  "name": "Bitcointalk Hide Name",
  "description": "Hides Bitcointalk Avatar & User-Name",
  "version": "0.1",
  "permissions": ["activeTab", "tabs"],
  "content_scripts": [
    {
      "matches": ["*://bitcointalk.org/*"],
      "js": ["contentscript.js"],
      "run_at": "document_end",
      "all_frames": true
    }
  ],
  "manifest_version": 2
}

3. Create a new file contentscript.js in the same directory and add the following code to the file

Code:
document.getElementById("smfheader").style.visibility = "hidden"
document.getElementById("hellomember").style.visibility = "hidden"
document.getElementsByClassName("avatar")[0].style.visibility = "hidden"

Now, this is your extension which you've to upload in your chrome extensions. Google how to do that or

Quote
Open the Extension Management page by navigating to chrome://extensions.

The Extension Management page can also be opened by clicking on the Chrome menu, hovering over More Tools then selecting Extensions.

Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle switch next to Developer mode.

Click the LOAD UNPACKED button and select the extension directory.

Should work! You can do much more in the same contentscript.js file.
593  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: UNABLE TO SEND BTC GETTING VALIDATION ERROR: TOO MANY PENDING TRANSACTIONS PLEAS on: April 08, 2019, 10:46:29 PM
Is the issue resolved OP? Blockchain.com's wallet has an issue with refreshing your form inputs :-
1 . Make sure your browser's cache is cleared.
2 . Check the proper fees for the network at the time of broadcasting a transaction and use that as a measure to decide a custom fee instead of blockchain.com's priority or regular fee.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you choose slots for gambling? on: April 08, 2019, 10:36:36 PM
I’m new to gambling and I am curious whether anyone has a strategy/approach of choosing online slots. Probably there are some criteria or factors to take into account when picking the best games from the various available online. Are there many scams?
The scam sites are not limited to just slots but all the games in general. A reputed site wouldn't just run all the games fairly and scam people on the slots. I'd suggest you try slots on https://www.bitdice.me or https://www.crypto-games.net They both have a reputation and are provably fair.
595  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I got hacked by Electrum Official Wallet [0.10 BTC] on: April 08, 2019, 10:31:24 PM
I will send them a message.
Thanks but they will be up again with the new servers in no time. To solve the problem from the root, old versions of electrum should throw an error message to update the wallet using the official link. The phishing error is thrown when we hit the send button, the update to wallet message must be displayed on opening electrum.

There is no malware inside your older Electrum wallet. Some malicious server replied your send message by directing you to download the fake Electrum. If you just ignore it, you won't lose any funds.
Yes, I figured that out.
596  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need help converting bitcoin to my currency for data info on: April 08, 2019, 10:25:01 PM
@etf, could I get that to work in a spreadsheet?
You certainly can! However, there is no straight forward way of doing it. That API returns a JSON string which can be converted to an excel using the documentation here https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/connect-to-a-json-file-f65207ab-d957-4bf0-bec3-a08bb53cd4c0 You're looking at converting a JSON string to the destination readable format. You can programmatically, do it with a few lines of code. I'm not sure how your excel stuff would work to give a specific suggestion.

Not so new account ! I just use my profile here for specific reasons . And after some years travelling I decided to do this .
And yes man I just got bad reputation out of nothing . Just by putting a listing ! That's ridiculous . Who is going to tell each person what to do with his or her money ?! You blame me that I am scammer and give me bad reputation without a single clue ...
Who knows you could have just bought an old account to pull this scam? Accounts are easily bought here.  Undecided Anyway, no further elaboration is needed on the topic. You could either upload some pictures and show proofs of the mystery box or shut the service.
598  Other / Meta / Re: Would this be considered spamming? on: April 08, 2019, 10:14:06 PM
I'm curious to know, would this be considered spamming? This user had bumped 8 of his threads all at the same time to top of the digital goods section. Here is his profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2556889

My question because I'm still learning is this considering breaking the rules what this user has done?i mean 20 more threads he would take up the whole entire first page lol Am I right?
It is not against the rules as long he bumps the threads once in 24 hours. However, his threads seem like he is selling a similar service which are somehow related to each other that is digital goods/accounts. He could just create one thread and advertise all the services there. That will be more organized and won't need bump in 20 different threads. You could report his posts to the mods and they probably will warn him.
599  Economy / Services / Re: Mystery box on: April 08, 2019, 10:09:53 PM
Why so hate people ? Don't even have a clue about my trustworthy and you vote down for me .You don't even have a clue to accuse me off!
No one is hating you. Would you pay your hard earned money to a random newbie on the forum who claims to be having a mystery box? You have 0 reputation, your account is new and no proofs of you owing a mystery box.

Anyway ,yes I could upload photos (that means no mystery btw) . Fyi there is stuff from China ,peru,Bolivia ,Spain ,Italy ,Greece ,czech , Bulgaria, netherlands ,Belgium and some more counties from small stuffs till delicacies .
Upload the photos of the box containing the items and not the items itself. This way you can show you have a fancy box unless you deliver it and it's not filled with cow shit.

You will be considered as a scammer if you can't provide any proofs of the items you're selling. Even I can say I have a mystery box with Dinosaur eggs but people won't believe me unless I show some proofs.
600  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ddmrddmr on DT1 on: April 08, 2019, 08:22:27 PM
No doubts Ddmrddmr is a good contributor, but he/she isn't much related with trust system or dealing with scams or likely scam. But seems Ddmrddmr already on DT1 by voting system and directly voted by 8 DT1. Feedback's left by Ddmrddmr is likely appropriate. I believe he/she will not abuse his power since he isn't much active on trust system.
How is he not related to the trust system? Every member on the forum is part of the trust system by default. Being on the trust list has nothing to do with dealing with scams or being an active scam hunter.

AFAIK, they're logical, contribute statistically to the forum and make valid points.

Ddmrddmr has barely sent feedback, he isn't that much active. DTs are formed to protect the newbies.
As per this term, does Ddmrddmr qualify for entrusting?
Who said DT's are formed to protect the newbies? Stop making those assumptions. You should discuss your concerns with the people who included them on the DT, the opinions of the rest of the community wouldn't make a difference.
