Here we go, as promised, $2.00 USD for the very first virtual Hot Dog a la Chicago Style, purchased from some fine lads residing in New Zealand.

Now, who's brave enough to follow my lead, allowing the boys to do whatever they desire with their after-the-sale sales.

I can already taste my next one:

Gotta take a nap. I hope when I wake that their 1Hdog... address is still in use, for I've got a plan for them lads.

DO NOT PRE-ORDER!!!!
At least until phin shows a pic that he has bought a beard net that complies with health codes.   I have already contacted his local health department to make sure that he complies.   They told me that someone named Josh had been calling them to inspect this operation on a daily basis and they were all over it.

You can't get anything over on me, for I've already cover my hair ass that aspect, and proved it to Josh when he stopped by to tour the kitchen, of which afterwards we enjoyed LukewarmJr Kool Aid.

See, I'm in compliance. And the iPhone is even FCC approved.

Not to be flip, but Coinbase is run by a Goldman Sachs forex trader. What did people expect?

Biometric authentication sort of defeats the whole aspect of anonymity don't you think?

Dont see any problem about anonymity.. Using bitcoins, cash and a palm scan : none is tied to an ID at all.. It's just an image recognizable to make a user unique.  Anyway, you can always ask a friend or anyone passing by to put his palm on the scan and yours will not be scanned.

Tha national TV broadcasting here in Quebec/Canada had a clip about it in the news.. at Radio-Canada : http://www.radio-canada.ca/nouvelles/Economie/2013/10/29/005-distributrice-monnaie-virtuelle-bitcoin.shtml

Or, you can have a supply of palms on hand (no pun intended) in case the exchange rate dictates that several $3000 are in order. How hard is it to fabricate fake palms?

I too wondered where I would find a second palm.

What if a Bitcoiner doesn't have any arms/hands? Is s/he discriminated against?

Boy, what I would give to have these 100,000++ on my mailing list: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.frontmobile.palmscanner&hl=en

Not a problem Smiley

How much were the hotdogs?

What's the address so that I can buy a virtual hotdog (seriously) since the stand is now closed?
They were selling them for $2 NZD in fiat or BTC0.008.
Their address is 1EMn38NTVTugkaoe1VjgEh1sKq2vDqyDXZ

Curious: https://blockchain.info/address/1HDogb4RXd7kmR3GHqw94KzTqEammAEbKj

Kinda matches the QR Code on the table.

Are you sure the 1EM... address isn't yours and you purchased 2 Hot Dogs via the 1HDog... address? I can easily see how you can make an honest mistake seeing that 1EM... is similar to 1HDog, especially if two bucks is about to be transferred to purchase a virtual hot dog.

The QR on the table ( https://i.imgur.com/Lf3hXZw.png ) includes the price of 0.008btc. The last transaction on the address was moving the funds to my brother, my demo transactions (for curious staff) back to myself (1AP2/1GusS2) and the remainder to 1HDog which will be exchanged for NZD and given to the other 3 members of the group who wanted cash.

Fair enough, bud. Is the IHDog... address still accessible, meaning if funds are sent there, they would be able to have access to them, for I prefer that address and not for ANY concerns about ANY nefarious activities. I have something up my sleeve I think them boys would get a kick out of it.
5849  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BOUNTY ~ Bruno's Micro Pizzeria seeks Logo on: October 31, 2013, 06:44:08 AM
I'll make the cutoff time at 11:59:59PM CST (US) on Nov. 1, 2013, thus two seconds later on Nov. 2, would be too late, to be clear.

Its for BFL btw. How and when will they convert the coins to USD?

Anybody knows?

Without reading any further then the OP, I may be able to answer.

Since BitPay now has the coins, they'll know how to liquidate them in such a way to not effect the price by much. Besides, they have a lot more than this $1M worth of BTC in cold storage as anybody would be able to see via the Block Chain.
5851  Other / Off-topic / Re: Inaba - The biggest scum bag on these forums? on: October 31, 2013, 05:42:44 AM
That's really uncalled for. Did you report him?

No. My point is that is normal here. I get something like that at least weekly.

It is not normal here nor anywhere in public spaces.   It is disgusting.
In reading your defense of Josh and his behavior, has tainted anything you may post in the future for a lot of people.   Do not defend people who are racist, who use vile language (like calling entropy a cock sucking thai whore when entropy just tried to explain what was wrong with BFL's design), who break laws and publicize it (like posting here that non USA residents could avoid paying taxes and duties by hosting with BFL).   etc.
It is fine if you read the crap and think it is fine, but now you condone the behavior and actually continue supporting his behavior after being shown TONS of links.   That sets a perception to who people think you are.

Well I'm not sure why you think I'm defending his actions. He called people names and I said as much.

The title of this thread is

"Inaba - The biggest scum bag on these forums?"

and it seems that part of him being a scum bag is cuz of that name calling. I gave you a clear case where someone was way over the top of what Josh did.

Psy and Smoothie in my mind are clearly above Josh in the scum bag department. Matthew N Wright would be number one but his hospitalization sort of fixed that. See that question mark put it in doubts and I was asking for people to defend why he is the biggest scum bag and honestly I'm not impressed.

"but now you condone the behavior and actually continue supporting his behavior "

See that is just silly. I did nothing of the sort.

Apologies for the aside, but that's about Matthew and a hospital? First I heard of that.

Adding [2] with this...

5856  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin 100: Developed Specifically for Non-Profits on: October 31, 2013, 01:46:49 AM
blockchain explorer.

from the source BTC100 address funds have been syphoned off to a 1Kenya address and then looped through 'empty addresses' (no other trade history) to then reach the end point of

1DwSkYaY3poxAzAiu7ipUqmoTZkq1o57HJ

some direct payments from BTC100 went their too,

so who owns 1DwSkYaY3poxAzAiu7ipUqmoTZkq1o57HJ and why were the funds moved at all in the first place?
quote from btc100 address
"Rassah and Roger Ver (Bit Instant and Memory Dealers) have complete control over all donations currently residing in the Bitcoin wallet having the vanity address 1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac, awaiting their next destination–a worthy non-profit organization."

AWAITING?? - moving funds is not waiting.
destination a worthy non profit. - please provide details which non-profit owns the 1DwSKY address.

secondly the images on the website have been ripped off of 'oxfam' images aswell as unicef. hopefully they have permission

How the hell did I miss this (in bold) and nobody else commented upon it?

It seems like www.kenija2012.net is down, by now?

Probably simply because of "Record expires on 18-Jan-2013"?

Not implying anything is fishy here, but I would like to see this project (and Bitcoin's involvement) not vanish into being completely forgotten..

Ente

I don't know what their plan was with the domain, but since this is over now there is no real reason to keep it anymore. Some information can still be found on their facebook page.

Yes, if anyone has any contact info related to this project I'd appreciate it if you could PM me. I just wanted to follow up to gauge interest in future Africa work.

You can try contacting them at kenija.odprava@gmail.com. I'll let them know.

5858  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin 100: Developed Specifically for Non-Profits on: October 31, 2013, 12:56:00 AM
kenija2012 is the top link because they were the first endowed with 100 BTC and not $1,000, of which equated to about $600 at the time. We were all excited to finally obtain the first site to accept our challenge (for lack of a better word). That site just happened to be short-lived, though the main site acts as a springboard yearly for other groups of doctors to go to Kenya offering up their free services as they finish up their studies at the university.
Hey, don't defend it here. We all know that now. Please put some link to such info on the page as clicking on the first participant and ending up at some "this url is for sale" is confusing and bad for B100's reputation.

The "Send exactly 1.00 BTC" is in default mode, but when you fill in the box in the line just above it with say 0.2045, the text becomes "Send exactly 0.2045 BTC".
Ok now it updates. Yesterday it didn't update. They definitely have a bug there.

I just realized that both kenija2012.com and .net are gone. Their presense can still be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/kenija2012 and here: http://kenija2012.blogspot.com/

Did bfl just make a purchase to themselves for some publicity?

no, they needed a way to launder all their mined BTC "burning in" the ASICs.

(this is me trolling, this is a joke)

Cashing in their own bitcoins via BitPay, no real problem.

Cashing in one large sum as a PR move involving BitPay, big problem.

Surprisingly, with all the eyeballs on the Block Chain, nobody seen a $1M move in the month of October of which they would've announced to their fellow bitcoiners via a dedicated thread.
