If you really want to have more visitors, remove all those coinurl links, or you are just asking people to leave your site.  Smiley

welcome to the community.
If you're interested in some free coins check:
http://www.qoinpro.com/3580e11ae1670d9945fdbf832bdc4252

Lol....enough with the Qoinpro already!  Yes you do nothing and you get free coins, but those coins equate to fractions of fractions of cents.  Even if you max out your referral structure you might be able to withdraw $0.03 in a couple years lol.

Hey it's a free world, you never know what the value of bitcoin will be in the future.  I remember faucet sites giving away 0.02 BTC a day.  And they give newbs the opportunity to start experimenting with it before investing in it.

In the past, all faucets gave payment in unit of BTC, then mBTC, and now it is in satoshi lol.  Grin

Me too, what r they doing sending everyone 0.00000001 Smiley

What about the fee?

The sender can easily create raw tx with 0 fee or way below min fee, and the tx will never get confirmed Smiley

I am still stuck to 28  Cry
If you're a good boy and keep posting it will update
within 1-2 weeks and you'll be out of newbie hell! Smiley
Best of luck!

There is no newbie hell now lol.

You can start posting anywhere in the forum, right from the beginning.
And the 360 seconds time limit will be down to just 75sec, when you reach 15 activity (still newbie).
606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitaddress.org legit? on: February 18, 2014, 05:03:26 AM
Surely not!

Seriously? Care to explain a bit?

IMHO, bitaddress is legit, and many have checked the code...
Of course, as nomnomnom suggested, it would be even better if you run it off-line  Smiley

Thank you guys for the info and advice.
What about the KNC Neptune?? It's being offered again for $10,000USD
Do you guys think it's worth getting now?  Will that make it's initial investment and then some more?

I estimate that the Neptune will mine more than 30 BTC before it becomes unprofitable due to the rising difficulty, if you start mining now.

The problem is you never know when you will receive the miner...

how long do i have to wait to get my 2 BTC withdrawals and my 1184 UTC ?

Instead of bumping up this own thread, you should make your reply in the official thread for Crypto-Trade, and send a PM to the owner (the guy above you).
609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Openions wanted on: February 18, 2014, 04:54:41 AM
Mining is no longer profitable unless you have a high budget and can get hold of new tech when it is released and sell it just before the difficulty rises its a very risky market but can pay off in the 1000+

It is not profitable to do btc mining.
It is still profitable to build a GPU rig to mine scrypt-based coins.

611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question regarding var diff and mixed speed miners. on: February 18, 2014, 04:49:17 AM
I have read that mixing slow and fast miners on a vardiff pool is a bad thing?

I have one rig mining Max for the past day or so, thinking of swapping my other rig over for a day or so also.

It has 2-280x and one old 5770 (pulls about 200kh on scrypt)

Now if I was to swap to a vardiff pool would the slow miner break the retargeting for my worker?

If so, is there a way in cgwatcher to tell just that card to submit shares to another worker?

Any info would be great. Thanks

You can register two different workers in your pool account.
Point your fast cards to one worker, and point your slow cards to the other one.
612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unable to post on: February 18, 2014, 04:45:58 AM
yes a bunch of rules for newbies are really fucked up on this site.. I had account before and for some reason I can not login to it now, so I had to open new one.. and now I have to struggle my ass off to be able to send a message to the guy that is doing some bullshit with his bitcoin business against the whole community, without being able to let the community know about it.. not gonna look in here, so if you want to tell me something, send a priv mess..

There is NO newbie restriction now. Do you copy?
If you want to make a post or send a massage to some guy, just wait for 6 minutes after logging in and do so.

The 6 minute restriction is gone after a while or at least that's what I read.

The time limit will go down to 75 seconds when you reach 15 activity.  Smiley

614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: okpay scammed me of $2000 and they are used by btc-e and mtgox on: February 18, 2014, 04:41:47 AM
i like to update everyone who read my posts

i finally was able to get my funds from okpay after more than 70 days, with deductions of more than $100, i quickly transferred it to btc-e, i will never use okpay again, and that should be true for everyone else, stay away from okpay

this good news for me came when i threatened them that i will post daily here in bitcointalk and elsewhere that okpay was holding my funds without any reason and they are a scammer company - which i actually did, i still think okpay is a selective scammer, okpay will not return the funds of folks who are not noisy in the forums

there is no decent company who will hold your funds for this long without telling you why, okpay is a very bad company, very bad customer service, a selective scammer, do not use okpay

if you have funds trap in okpay, do what i did, threaten them you will post negative true feedback here and reddit on a daily basis until you get your funds

Glad to see OP gets his money back, at least most of his money.

Did OKpay ever explain why the funds were on hold for 70days+ and why $100+ was deducted?

no explaination, just got an automatic email informing me i now have my funds in my okpay wallet AND AS SOON AS I CAN, I TRANSFERRED IT ALL TO BTC-E, I WILL NEVER USE OKPAY AGAIN, NEVER AGAIN, EVEN OKPAY'S COMPETITORS, I WILL NEVER USE A MONEY TRANSFER SERVICE COMPANY UNLESS ITS A PUBLIC COMPANY REGISTERED IN THE U.S.

i did not anymore bother to ask what happened to the over $100 deduction they made... it doesnt matter now, got the majority of my funds

That sucks.....I guess I will never try it then...
615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin network: 24.264.816 GH/s vs 2.000 GH/s Cointerra terraminer IV on: February 18, 2014, 04:35:06 AM
Hi all,
I have a question about the size of the present hashrate of the bitcoin network being some 24.000.000 GH/s (source: http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator)

If this hashrate would be delivered solely by a cointerra terraminer IV with a capacity of 2.000 GH/s this would mean that the bitcoinnetwork is
(24 million GH/s divided by 2.000 GH/s) 12.000 terraminers strong.

Is this calculation correct?

With newer and more efficient ASICs coming out, we will then have a way larger network hashrate...

If people are interested in -earning- some bitcoins for close to no work at all, I'll list a few sites that are 100% working and paying, as well as profitable. ( I've earned some nice amounts )

Bitcoinget: A site where you complete crowd flower tasks ( I wouldn't bother with those that give you 5 ubtc each, but at least once daily there's one that gives you 125-150 and takes approximately 1 minute to complete ) You do need to create a crowd flower account to be able to complete the tasks, but many earn websites use it themselves so it might be useful even if you don't wanna use bitcoinget.

Ref link: http://www.bitcoinget.com/?r=173oNFXDhT7s3HBhRVhMTDTcn3S5PWXAdZ
Non ref link: http://www.bitcoinget.com

Coinad: Create an account, click a few ads per day, wait for the countdown to reach zero, make profits. There's no need to actually view the webpage itself while the countdown is ticking, altho most sites are only displayed for 10-20 seconds at max. Low minimum payout, quite profitable imo.

Non ref link: https://coinad.com

Bitvisitor: Type in your wallet ID, and start earning bitcoins! You'll view 1 page per 5 minutes, gaining a few ubtc in the process. Once again there's no need to actually look at the website, you can browse something else or do whatever while the countdown is ticking. Payout threshold is 100 ubtc, takes a bit of time but as there's only 1-2 clicks involved every 5 minutes you hardly lose any time.
Very useful to just let it run in the background if you're on the internet anyways.

Please use the referral links if you found this useful, you lose nothing and it helps me out quite a lot!
(I share profits with active referrals on the sites that allow it!)

617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Gambling Project on: February 18, 2014, 04:26:16 AM
Take the sum of tx_indexes modulo number of entries. This gives a number between 0 and (number of entries - 1). If you either add 1 to the result or number your entries starting from 0 you have found the winning entry that would get the jackpot minus house edge.
100 entries is just a special case of this - modulo 100 just means to take the last 2 digits.
Of course, it requires some arithmetics to check whether the right transaction won - just taking the last 2 digits is easier. But then adding up 100 tx indexes is already quite some bit of work, so few people would check manually.
Another possible problem (unless I misunderstood the function of tx_index) is the placement of transactions in the list - are they sorted strictly by tx_index, or by arrival at your node?

Onkel Paul

(note that even though I gave technical advice on how such a thing might be done, I generally recommend against gambling, especially if you don't really have money that you won't miss when you lost it...)

Thank u for the solution ..so what I understand, if we have a tx_index sum of 987654321 and 89 transactions at the end of the time limit, then 50 is the winning transaction. Because => https://www.google.com/search?q=987654321%2589 ...I'm NOT sure how people are going to accept it. I'm waiting for community feedback for this rule.

Regarding the sequence of transaction, it is by the arrival at my node. I mentioned it at Point 3 of http://www.100bit.co.in/rules.php

@Onkel Paul Yes, I agree that if 0.01 BTC is something that someone cant afford to lose, he/she should stay away from this game. At the same time, I urge you to make the first transaction for a kick start Smiley

I have no problem with that rule at all.
Good luck to your project Smiley

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have a freind in work who wants to sell me 30 ant u1 bitcoin miners for 3 bitcoins. Is this a good deal and can I mine scrypt with them?

I think you can mine scrypt with them go check in the alt coin section they will know a lot more and will provide you with a good answer.

You think wrong, and should probably not give out advice on things you don't know about.

You can not scrypt mine with a U1.

Also, 30 U1 miners for 3 BTC is a god-awful deal, but you'll need to figure out why for yourself.

0.1 BTC for a U1 miner is really really bad lol.
Anyway, it will be very hard to mine bitcoin with profit at this moment, and it would be much better to build a GPU rig to mine scrypt-based coins Cheesy

620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start earning Bitcoin ? on: February 18, 2014, 03:59:08 AM
I recently got started in the BTC game myself, and as "level 2 noob" (self proclaimed) I can definitely say mining is easily non-profitable right now and faucets can be a waste of time.

If you have the mindset that you want a very minimal amount of BTC, and hold that amount over a very long time, and have the time & patience to type in series of captcha's....then by all means do some faucets.  Coinbox is a popular site that holds your faucet proceeds and pays out at .000055, just doing simple math you make $14.05/Year if you get that .000055 each day.  Most faucets pay .00000020-.00000060 per 30-60 minute cycle.

I've had success doing two things to get me started.  The first is buying BTC through Coinbase and transferring it to BTC-E and then buying/selling either BTC or LTC when the prices drop/rise.  You can always just buy and hold onto it too if you think the price will rise soon (I do).  The other success I've had is by mining Primecoin and transferring that to BTC-E and buying small amounts of BTC/LTC.  Primecoin can be mined on your CPU and it's startup took me like an hour of reading up on it and 5 minutes of installing the software.  Any questions feel free to PM me or post anywhere on this forum.....I started by posting question after question after question, and this community was super helpful.

Best of luck!

2 hours of a full run and you can get 1 payout from coinbox, so say you average 8 hours a day (4x0.000055=0.00022btc a day 0.00022x30=0.0066btc a month 0.0066x12=0.0792btc a year which is using 800 $usd for bitcoin 0.0792x800=63.36 $ a year.just for some captchas every hour and just on the coinbox faucets. there are many faucets out there that pay considerably higher then that per hour. then you any of the exchanges that can wield you massive profits if you do it right.

Still, it is way better to join a signature ad program, than to waste time collecting dusts from those faucets.
