622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT BITCOINS! MUST READ! on: February 18, 2014, 03:38:28 AM
You can add few more myth's to list
* BTC is not legal
* btc will die soon
and there are so many other myths circulating around..!

I was about to ask, since when it's not legal and then I remembered you're talking about myths.
But I have to ask you: why do you think BTC isn't going to die soon?

Just curious, what makes you think BTC will and can die soon?
Governments "banning" bitcoin? Bitcoin "bugs"?

625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Escrow question on: February 18, 2014, 03:31:11 AM
whats stopping the escrow holder from running and not returning any of the amount that was deposited what makes someone trusted and who would you recommened as a escrow?

Nothing but their reputation, so I'd check for evidence of that and trade history first. Somebody who has done hundreds of trades and has held on to 100s of Bitcoins at a time probably isn't going to run off with your Bitcoins.

hm.....and TF ran away with 4000 coins.... Sad
626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Instant BTC to USD/PayPal on: February 18, 2014, 03:26:57 AM
Don't use paypal. TRy other option. paypal is banning some peoples account for trading bitcoin. They don't want competition.
What can you use if you can't use PayPal, it's the only reliable way to handle money.

Paypal is reliable? Why do you think so?  Huh
627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a noob, whats the best alt coin to invest now? on: February 18, 2014, 03:23:22 AM
the original is always better especially if the copy is chinese Smiley

I am not racist, but a chinese clone is usually not good according to my own experience Smiley
628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit of a noob question on: February 18, 2014, 03:20:54 AM
Exactly as all the above guys mentioned, the bitcoin will be lost forever, if you do not have access to the private keys.

So, don't forget to use a good password to encrypt your wallet, and don't forget that good password lol.
629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Find places to earn and win FREE Bitcoin - Feedback welcome! on: February 18, 2014, 03:03:00 AM
Thank you for the primedice bit 777 info - If i am right its all change there as they are being taken over my casinobitco? Probably a good time to join that affiliate program and promote them?? Roll Eyes

Yup, bit777 and peerbet were bought by casinobitco. The sig program is paused at this moment, and casinobitco will make a new announcement this week...
630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie here on: February 18, 2014, 03:00:32 AM
Even if you clicked ads and filled out captchas and faucets all day you still wouldn't make much so it's not worth your time. Easiest way to make BTC is to participate in a signature deal or sell items or services on the marketplace.

Agree with hilariousandco that it is a good way to earn some bitcoin with those a signature ad, especially if you have lots of free time...
You can get as much as 20000 satoshi per post (not spammy, meaningless, giveaway posts of course).
631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie here on: February 18, 2014, 02:57:28 AM
Bitcoins don't come simply flowing to you because you're sitting in front of a computer. Just accept that TANSTAAFL.

Basically, as with all other kinds of money, there are two ways of getting them:
- Invest money that you already have (risky, don't do that it you don't have any, i.e. don't to that with loaned money)
- Sell services or goods that are in demand

Forget gambling, faucets, Pay-to-click etc. Returns will be pretty small, it's ok to get your feet wet but it's not a serious way of earning money.

I suppose you're not sitting on piles of valuable goods that you can sell for a living, so you should ask youself: what skills do you have that people would want to pay for? Since you're jobless, you probably don't have the skills required for a paying job where you live - is this an issue with you or with the region in which you're living?
If your skills are not in demand anywhere, you need to work on your skills - otherwise either moving or offering to work over internet are possible options.
Work over internet can have several advantages
- your possible market is much bigger,
- you don't have a lot of upfront costs (like buying a car etc) since you already have a computer and internet access,
- it might work better if your in-person social skills are weak (but you should still be able to communicate without upsetting your communication partner).

Onkel Paul

Well said.
OP, if you have some great skills (such as programming), you can earn 1 btc very soon.
But, if you try to use faucets to collect dust, you will probably never get 1 btc (unless you have hundreds of referrals lol)
632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone explain the mt gox situation to me? on: February 18, 2014, 02:46:49 AM
wait until they recover from the failure .... this can make the price take off again ...

Or wait until mtgox die, and file a court case  Wink
633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: README replies on: February 18, 2014, 02:43:34 AM
Hi, congratulations for organizing...
This is a revolution!!

 Huh

I guess you are talking about bitcoin for your second line, but I have no idea about your first line at all...
634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is there a way to make bitcoins without mining on: February 18, 2014, 02:39:59 AM
But if you want to get bitcoins soon, just mine them.

If you really want to get bitcoin soon, just buy some cheap bitcoin directly now.

Mining is neither easy nor fast.
You need to buy ASICs for bitcoin mining, and you can hardly get any profit...

637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTCChina, recover account on: February 18, 2014, 02:01:06 AM
Still absolutely no response from BTCChina.

hm....still no email response for days...
What about dial the number (+86) 021-54896951 ??

I am not really sure if you can find some English-speaking staff, but maybe it is your last resort..
Don't forget to check the Beijing time (UTC +8)  Smiley

639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Being new to Mt. Gox, I am some newb questions on: February 18, 2014, 01:45:40 AM
I really don't suggest you to deposit your funds into mtgox...
But, if you really understand the risk and want to make that risky gamble, you may try that...

Time needed for verification process varies a lot. Some reported it can be done in 2 weeks, while some mentioned their applications have been rejected with no reason again and again...
640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where mtgox goes? on: February 18, 2014, 01:40:35 AM
So if you have fiat on Mt.Gox, this is a good opportunity to buy some cheap BTC.

Thumbs up!  I am hoping to buy cheap Gox coins but don't have an account yet.  Hopefully someone answers my thread with newb questions soon  Smiley

I remember reading a post somewhere in the forum, saying that you should better hold USD (instead of btc) in your mtgox balance, as it will be better and easier to file a court case later.
