641  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 09, 2024, 10:17:37 PM
I don't know if you have actually tried this plan of yours yourself because if you ask me saving gambling money is really likewise also reinvesting a little portion of it so what I do is I just withdraw my winnings and use it for something tangible that I won't regret spending it on
Gambling money or profit you've made from there is good to see from a gambler that spends it wisely like putting it on his or her savings or an investment. That's actually what everyone must do, not that you've won, you'll think that it's fine to lose that much again because your bankroll when you have started isn't that much. But if you're going to take a look and see, that's the plan of the majority, to win, to take money and do something meaningful with it like keeping or investing.

and just continue with my gambling whenever I feel like as I don't even gamble on a daily, the habits comes now whenever I feel like it and not like before when it almost turned out to be an urge problem.
That's the right feeling, you can gamble whenever you want or anytime as you wish as long as yo still have that money. Otherwise, you are only good to gamble again with another capital or bankroll for which isn't desirable as you might come up with another losses. But if this is the type of your strategy when you gamble, I salute you and that's what other gamblers have to learn from someone like you. Not just gamble like there's no direction whether you win or lose, that's not gonna matter to you. But from the beginning, you already have some plans.

After reading the OP's thread, the question arose, is it possible for us to enter and find out the gambling website algorithm?
For easier to understand, this is like abusing a bug that has been found but never reported.
Bugs. yes... it's like using all our luck. This is very rare and of course very difficult to find, if it goes through a bug this might happen but the chance is very small if it involves a bug. Of course, the house will also continue to improve and perfect the system for existing bugs. The longer the house operates, the fewer bugs there will be, of course with a team and several bug bounties, this kind of thing will be resolved immediately.
There are some instances that players might experience some bug and if they don't report it immediately to the representative or developers, they're going to exploit it and as they exploit, it will reflect to their balances as how these money came in to them winning that much because for sure that's how they're going to do it.

But then, upon withdrawal, if there are some unusual activities found on their accounts, they will be subject into investigation and might delay the withdrawal and that's going to be one reason for them to just admit it that they've abused the bug and that's going to forfeit their profits. They might even be lucky if the casino that they've exploited will still allow them to withdraw the principal amount that they have or the bankroll that they started with.
643  Economy / Economics / Re: How influential is crypto worldwide? on: January 09, 2024, 08:14:32 AM
With all of the rumors about the Bitcoin Spot ETF being approved, the widespread word about bitcoin and its influence will become even bigger.

My opinion on this is that, let us be grateful that Satoshi created this currency, which is now considered valuable in today's market.
It's fine, people will see the flaws of a thing if they're not contented with it. The core's have to upgrade and update it but if nothing has happened, it won't change a thing or two with Bitcoin's popularity nowadays.

Just look at how the its market price is progressing thru the years, will give you an insight that this currency has been progressing a lot in the past years.
And just see the adoption today, and it is still growing makes you believe that this market has great potential.
There is no doubt that the change of Bitcoin coming from being a P2P e-cash system has become a store of value. Is it a problem? Not really, it has just made itself upgrade and innovated from the actual use that has been presented to its whitepaper. But did it ever change or leave that feature? No. It has added and became more of its actual use and that's a good thing IMO.

Consider the popular personalities as well as known companies which are already tapping this market.
Whales, financial institutions, the governments and all of those countries that are very optimistic about Bitcoin. That's how its influence is becoming larger than the time it has started so, we should be thankful and grateful for what it is achieving now.
644  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to stop noise pollution? on: January 08, 2024, 05:55:06 PM
What steps will you take against noise pollution as a good citizen of the country?
The simplest and that's to start with myself not to contribute with the noise pollution. Since I don't really play a loud noise for music and mp3 players, I guess that's already one for me. I don't like loud noise, it annoys me. Maybe this happens when you're growing older or it's not just me even when I was young, I don't feel loud noise and I don't understand what these people are up when they play such loud music. Like my ear can't take loud noise or these people have a huge tolerance to decibels from their ears.

I've seen some places where people keep on humping the horn of their cars as if it's just typical for them to beep beep every second of their lives. That's one big problem and I don't think that I'll ever survive on that place if ever I encounter those noise honking that are happening at all times. I've watched videos like it's a typical thing for those people to just honk even if there's no traffic as if it's already part of their lives and they're not going to live if they've missed a few minutes of not honking their horns.

After reading the OP's thread, the question arose, is it possible for us to enter and find out the gambling website algorithm?
For easier to understand, this is like abusing a bug that has been found but never reported.

And if for example we could, wouldn't the system detect us? and of course this will result in us being discovered and eliminated, aka blocked?
The casinos can easily figure out when someone has been lucky at all times. It's gonna be awkward to them to see someone never loses a bet. You're not just going to be blocked but also your money might be confiscated and will never be refunded. That's why the exploit that has been caught should be reported and you may even get a reward or bounty for doing so. But if that bug has been reported by someone earlier than you then you may not receive anything in return but you've helped them figure out that other users can see the bug.

In my opinion, this is very impossible, especially when it comes to sports betting, which is actually determined by the match that is taking place.
For games like sports betting, it's unlikely to happen but for some games which are luck-based and have an algo and there's a bug that can be abused by the one who has seen it, they'll be known soon.

For slot games, Plinko, this crash can still occur but the system will quickly recognize and anticipate it. In conclusion, with what we have to fight the system it would be very risky and impossible.
The reality is we can never win against the house but there's still fairness that they apply on their business and we all know what gambling actually is. We win, we lose, the house wins.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: Growth mindset versus fixed mindset on: January 08, 2024, 04:37:09 PM
We all start with a fixed mindset and that's why many of us just want to be stable, have a happy life and no challenges at all. But when we hear the stories of the billionaires on how they've reached that goal of their lives, we just want to get out of our comfort zones thinking that if they've done it, we can also do it. Nothing against with that mindset because I have also my own goals and want to have my growth in many aspects.

Those that are stagnant and don't like to have a growth mindset, it's fine to have that fixed mindset because it is you that shall determine when you're willing to take challenges and when you want to grow. The thing here is whatever works for you, that shall what you cultivate and make yourself aware that you're not yet at your limitation. But if you think that you've finally reached your limit, it's okay.

There's no need for you to force to be like others that you think because of how they think, that's a factor of their growth and success which is true. Maybe it's not yet your time when you're just watching people happily reaching their goals for having the growth mindset. Remember that you have own your timeline of success and it's just so happen that they've discovered their own mindsets to be upper than the others based on the difficulties they've faced with their lives.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 08, 2024, 02:23:16 PM
Take casino games for example especially jackpot casino games there is no way you can tell me that all of them are structured in such a way that they randomly always make money for the house if you ask me gambling is a fraud that has been used to trick people into believing that their choices matter it does not everyone that gambles is just there to make money for the casino unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about human nature 💔💔💔
I don't understand where you are coming from with saying that casinos or gambling itself is a fraud. Casinos and gambling are businesses and if you see people that don't make money from it, remind them that they should control themselves and don't gamble a lot with their hard-earned money. If you think that many have been tricked, it's because we're thinking that we can win all of the money that is coming from these casinos.

There have been a lot of threads already about gambling and people who are misled by their thoughts about it. Take sometime to go through them on the gambling discussion board and you'd see a bunch of these threads. And as you've said, there is nothing can be done with it because that's a fact. A gambler that has tasted to win for several times and understands the risk that gambling has and sees the stance of most of the casinos won't fall for such tricks of themselves. They might lose a lot but that is a bearable loss and that can't be blamed to the casino as we're all doing these actions with our own will. If someone is unfortunate in gambling for this day, there's a term called rest and that's what they need to do instead of pursuing which isn't going to work if they are unlucky at all.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 08, 2024, 12:52:22 PM
While there are rumors that there's the likely that it's gonna get approved. The fun is there and we don't have idea if it's going to be as is because no matter what happens and the decision of the SEC, we all just have to take, bear, and accept it. And for the bettors that are into these scenarios, this is like always the special event that we get to see from the community.
One day, an ETF will be approved, and it is only a matter of time. We don't know what decision the SEC will make this time. But seeing that there was a previous delay makes me feel less interested because I feel like the SEC will delay it again this time. If the ETF is indeed approved, there are definitely signs that it will come out in the market, but so far, the price is still going up and down.
I agree, it's just a matter of time. Some ETFs from other countries have been approved, CMIIW. And in the past, there were applications but then rejected. That's why the newer ones have already learned in the past and just corrected what they have to do so basically, it's very likely that we're going to see some approvals, it doesn't matter on how many of them but sure there will be at least one. If the SEC starts to decide to delay again the decisions, that's how they play this game. The final laugh is still on them but for sure that they're going to take huge benefit from their decisions.

I know that there are gamblers that can do their bets for both results and that's how they see the fun on it. And as the majority are just speculators and waiting for the actuality of the result, if you enjoy doing these things then you just have to do it on what you think is going to give you some benefit and pastime while you're waiting for what's to come on this market.
Yes, there are definitely gamblers who will bet both because this is a good opportunity to get a win from one of the bets. And that is one way that those who like to place bets will take. Perhaps I'll place a bet too, but I don't know, I'm still not moved to go to the market and place a bet ahahaha.
Good luck if you ever place a bet on it. Well, those that just want to have assurance will just have to find the casinos where it is listed and check out the odds on which is going to be better and just place one bet with the other. If it's just a break even, well the important thing is that you've enjoyed but if not, let it go and accept defeat as long as you've taken part of this historical moment. Historical in a manner that if it gets approval, we'll see the price to shoot. But if it's declined, it's still historical for how many times that many of these institutions have applied for it.

We're back in action, we've got the BB Dacha in Dubai that shall happen soon, for more details below.

But before that, it also has a qualifier for all of the regions that you can follow on that link. The 4 regions have already consists of each two regions combined. NA/SA and SEA/CN and that's an interesting qualifier because it involves two regions per qualifier while the others remains alone for EEU, WEU and Mena. There were already 7 teams invited while the rest of 5 remaining qualifier slots are open and this is what's happening now and being fighted for by most participating teams.

I've watched the matched on the lower bracket of G2.IG and Blacklist Rivalry. It was actually two interesting match, map 1 and 2. Both were close games and this is how these qualifiers are tough because only 1 slot per region will be occupied by the champs of this qualifiers. What interesting is that the main event is going to have a pool prize of $1M and this is a good way to start this year ahead for Dota 2.
650  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: January 08, 2024, 07:24:17 AM
Depending on your money you have to start a business, if your money is more then you can buy a business.
Big companies do buy companies and if you are able to do that, means that you have a successful business and that's why you can acquire other businesses that you think you're able to grow and control.

In my opinion, buying a business would not be reasonable because buying a business involves a lot of risk.
It is the same as starting and growing your business. Everything where our money is in the line involves risk, whether they're high or low risk, they're just the same in terms of talking about the risk because some may calculate the risk that they take, others don't. As long as they know what they are up to, that's what matters to them and if someone who's good in handling risks and able to grow businesses, that won't even be a question to them.

If you start a small business, it will gradually grow and success will come.
I agree but not all businesses grow and most of them fail during the start.

Start a business with your wits You'll never start a business with someone else's wits, and it's best to start a business by trusting your own wits.
That's true but you can get mentors when you start so that you'll be guided but every result will still depend on your dibs and that's why either of the two, the results will vary and dependent on your hands. Everything that you are involved with, you'll have to apply all of it, experience, mentorships, guides, etc.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 07, 2024, 11:37:28 PM
~snip~
I think that the fun starts when we don't know about the clarity of it and there's equal opportunity for every bettor who would like to bet on this event. Whether it's going to be approved or not, as long as you are happy with the results and most especially if you've won the bet then that's for sure the win that you're waiting for. So, it's all fair for everyone who's going to bet on the outcome of the decision as per SEC.
Yes, it is like that, but we have seen what has happened so far, where the SEC continues to delay it, so many of us are pessimistic that this month, the SEC will immediately approve it. And if this is the month we've been waiting for when the SEC finally approves the ETF, it could boost bitcoin to even higher prices.

Indeed, when we place a bet and wait for the result, whether it is approved or still pending, and we can be the winner, it will give us joy because we managed to become the winner. Yes, you can try to bet on this event, and who knows, you could be the winner.

Spot Bitcoin ETF will just cause some imbalance in the market and the market will get back to its normalcy after the incident.
What's the imbalance that it will give to market? It's going to give more exposure to the actual Bitcoin market but I agree to you that everything is going to be back to normal after all of these applications, approvals, rejections and adoptions come.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 07, 2024, 10:26:17 PM
Don't forget to vote for All-Star today. Votes count 3x.

I quickly picked Dončić, SGA, Jokić, Durant and Şengün for the West and Cunningham, Haliburton, Embiid, Tatum and Randle for the East.
I've already casted my vote and some were just the players that I like to see and be pat of this all star. I've also voted for Cade because IMHO, he deserve it.

You know what's more deserving for Cade? He deserves to be with another team. Being on that team is a waste of talent. I can't even remember when was the last time the Pistons win a playoff game or they can't barely make it to the playoffs and the last time the Pistons have actually had a good roster is in 2004 when they have the Wallaces, Billups, Rip Hamilton, & Tayshaun Prince. After that, the Pistons have never had a chance to redeem themselves for 20 years now. They actually gotten worse now lol. I hope the kid could find a way to be out of this team asap.

On the other hand, the Lakers have lost again against the Grizzlies and they are now entering the worst stage of their season again just like last season. I'm surprised Darvin still being the head coach lol.
Yeah, I couldn't agree more with that. But how long he is tied with the Pistons for his contract as he's the one to draft him right? I want him to get more playing time and recognition for what he's doing. I guess this is what the fans can do for him and his team as a favor, to vote for him and be part of the star. Well, about the old roster of Pistons, they're one of the best honestly and a very good contender to the other strong teams on that era.

For sure they're going to be gone and won't be able to reach the playoffs and won't advance anymore even if having a wild card, that's very unlikely and they're just going to look forward to the next season. I remember this type of struggle happened to the teams like Golden State Warriors and Lakers. They've been in the pit and hole that's so deep that most of their fans are still hopeful for them but not for the actual season but passing it on the next season to come.
653  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crime and the society on: January 07, 2024, 08:55:47 PM
Irrespective of the negative impact of crime to the society I still believe that the society can also be impacted positively by crime and disorderliness because it is essential anchor point for social changes.
If there's an impact to think of with these crimes, I don't want to think of positive as this but this is the reality that the authorities will have to act on it to avoid future happenings of the same crime or any other crime and they'll have to change for the better and for the well being of their citizens.

Another important function of crime is in the fact that it can bring about understanding of  some deviant behaviour which may causes people to reflect on what is or isn't allowed within a particular society, allowing them to discover when the law doesn't line up with the collective sentiments of the majority.
I wouldn't say that as an important function. There have been thousands to millions of crimes that have happened already, these authorities can actually learn from them already and not to wait for another crime to get started just for them to do the necessary changes in our society. It's not only the authorities that are involved here but also us, normal citizens. There's no need to eye witness another crime and justify it that there goes the important function and benefits that we will get just to see some major changes in our society.
654  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 07, 2024, 08:06:20 PM
A high-paying employee is like that you are on the safe side and there's no need to think of the risks that the business owners are taking. If I choose and I just want a simple life and nothing to worry about, I'll be an employee with a high salary. Of course the job itself isn't going to be easy and there will be more responsibilities that will be passed on me. But what I like for thinking like that is when you are out of work, you don't have to think about it anymore.

Whilst for the business owners, when you are done with the our of work, you still need to think and monitor about it at most times because it is your business and everything you want to do is to make it a better business so that you can help many people for employing them but all of the cost is on you. And it all depends on how much profit that you're making from it, I see good employers that are expanding their businesses and making new ones because they know how to and they're just so good at it to the point that any business they start, it is going to thrive no matter what happens and what the situation is.
655  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why it's very important to develop a thick skin on: January 06, 2024, 11:26:39 AM
It's normal to see that with some sort of correction, they'll cry and will quit their jobs. That's normal and I think that they're just being welcomed by the reality and they haven't dealt with it when they are younger. Having a thick skin or being open with rejections and corrections will make you survive longer this world. Because you'll never know that the person that's correcting you is just looking for someone to mentor and pass on the throne of the position that he's taking care of in the corporation.

And when that guy finds you worthy of it as he's taught you all that he's learned other the period of time and his stay with the company, there is no other people that shall be passed on with the throne and position but that person being corrected and taught secretly by that person through criticism. Me, I am thankful with all of the past companies that I've worked with especially with the boss that I have when this matter has been told to me about taking criticisms and how far you'll go into this world when you absorb them as something helpful.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seems it's alt season... Any suggestions..? on: January 06, 2024, 09:52:51 AM
This season is the most deadliest period to get involved with altcoin because most of the altcoin currently are surfacing because of the halving around the corner
You are right, despite that I really want to invest in altcoins nowadays. I just feel that all of them have been overvalued already. While I know that they can still grow in the next coming months and year but it is just so scaring to take those feat when I think I'm mostly late. But good for them that have got in too early when many of them have been undervalued, I was able to stack some but the profits that I am thinking isn't going to be that much as what the others are boasting nowadays.

So, when making choice of altcoin to add in your portfolio you should choose carefully the prefered one otherwise you leave to regret while holding those shitcoin. As for me buying bitcoin is the best option than choosing altcoin and even if you must choose any other altcoin then recommend you to accumulate Matic, BNB, ETH, SOL and TRON.
Without any second thought about Bitcoin, it's always the best choice for all of us. But many stops from buying it and thinks that their wealth is on the altcoins that they can choose as their lottery pick and that's the mindset of many of the investors because that's how it goes nowadays. Too many altcoin choices that they can go with and that's why many are diversifying a lot and ignores the importance of holding Bitcoin. The altcoins that you've mentioned are good but it is for everyone's preference and it may good for you and for me but for some, it might not fit the likes of how they invest on this market.

All the mentioned altcoin has a very great potential to give you something pleasant in time to come it could be after halving, i find them more reliable than those shitcoin you mentioned above.
I agree, the ones he has mentioned. Majority of them are new to me as well and I don't think that even if I have spare money to invest, I'd avoid most of those.

I know some of them have very low chance but they all deserve it.
It's so hard to choose because it's like that many of them deserve to be part of the all-star but let alone the fans decide on it.

Coaches will have though job about picking bench players.
And that's where the next potential star player will come out if they will be able to choose the good bench players out there.

There are a lot of quality players and the competition is great this season. Statistics increased very significantly for most players.
I definitely agree and there are more talents that are needed to be scene and if luckily given the playing time, then for sure that they'll be able to make use of it maximum and worth it.
658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto business: How to withdraw money from the platform? on: January 06, 2024, 07:19:31 AM
One way is to hire some companies that can handle all of the processes of establishing their operations whether it includes headquarters or not on that offshore location. As long as you have money to pay for every cost, that's not a problem to a company that wants to get established in a certain country.

Are you in a country where crypto is banned? If not, start small and establish that business of yours and see what problems you'll face as you operate. And from there, that's how you deal with things, and don't think that you'll grow too big already as you start, take one step at a time and you'll be there eventually. If you don't want to have problems with dealing on these legalities, then you just might have to hire someone that shall do the thing for you but it's still different when you're the one who knows how to deal with these problems or knows the processes.

So, before diving into the international scene, start with your local area and do the business there.

Can someone explain what "attempted battery" means in the legal sense? Also, what is the potential penalty for this offense?

I imagine he now faces a much longer prison sentence. Assaulting a state judge is a serious offense.
I have no idea about it as well but it can easily be searched and the results will come out as what you've asked with google.
Here's the link and result for you: https://open.lib.umn.edu/criminallaw/chapter/10-2-assault-and-battery/
It's a long page but I guess that you'll find the meaning of what you want to learn about assault, battery or anything that's related to it.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 05, 2024, 10:43:22 PM
There will be no manipulation on here unless Gary and his gang see this thread and the articles that show about betting on the Bitcoin ETF results. But I don't think that even with that their credibility will be on set just for the money to gamble. I'd make a bet on this one because the ratio of winning and losing is just the same. Despite all the positive feedback from the community and news that have been set, I won't say that there's the clear result while we haven't seen it yet about the potential of being approved.

anything can still happen on this upcoming event. they can easily turn the approval down also. but for those who have good notion that this will be approved, by all means, you can bet on this one. but check the odds also. and for me, don't put too much money on this.

this below shows the current polymarket odds on this betting line

https://polymarket.com/event/bitcoin-etf-approved-by-jan-15?tid=1704488017844

Well, whoever bets on this is just for the sake of having fun and at the same time is just eager to wait for the announcement. So, there are no heart feelings that will be part of the bet and you're just setting yourself on how you're going to buy on this one. It's true that anything can happens and even if the chance of getting it approved is quite high but don't dwell on that confidence. We've seen it for how many times that it has been rejected before years ago so it's nothing new to get surprised if the results are the opposite.

I'm not interested in betting on a Bitcoin ETF because we've already seen several delays and there's no clarity on when the SEC will approve or reject it.
