681  Economy / Services / Get Brand Exposure & Build Communities Using the Steem Blockchain with Oracle-D on: March 27, 2019, 11:11:18 AM

Oracle-D is a unique type of company that helps businesses and projects generate organic exposure, by bringing them into contact with professional content creators on the Steem blockchain.
By making use of Oracle-D's services, you can have close to 100 unique pieces of content created about your business or service.

You have the option to either pay Oracle-D a fee for their services, in which case they will build a reward pool for your project in order to pay out content creators. Another option would be to purchase and hold Steem of your own, in return Oracle-D can lower or completely eliminate the cost of their service. Keep in mind that if you decide to fund the promotion of your project with your own Steem, you will not lose the Steem you hold. The Steem you hold will be used to pay out rewards for the content creators who create content for your project, without actually diminishing the amount of Steem that you hold.

Payments in fiat and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Steem, etc.) are accepted.
682  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Alpha release of DaieSthai War the 3D PvP blockchainGame on steemit on: March 27, 2019, 09:29:20 AM
It's a little bit annoying to use this website.
Whenever I click on Home or Shop in the menu, it opens up a new page.

It's good to see more PvP games on Steem though, Steem Monsters was getting a bit boring for me anyways.

683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap faking volume on: March 27, 2019, 09:15:41 AM
Surely they're accepting faked information, not propagating it themselves. I presume they didn't care enough to bother checking how credible the places they list are until enough noise was made.

It's unfortunate how much power they've ended up with. You can tell people to shop elsewhere all you like, most can't be arsed.

To give them a bit of credit, they have excluded volume from certain exchanges in the past and have done so for a pretty long time.

Now, there's a lot of fake volume that still slips through, but I think it's a bit harsh to think that CMC deliberately chooses to publish faked volume.
CMC has nothing to gain from 'beefing up' these stats (at first sight at least), I think it's just a question of having the ability to properly investigate these incidents.

I could be wrong though, perhaps there is some form of collusion going on between CMC and certain exchanges.

Edit:

@mindrust

Sure it could be that they're 'part of the scam', as you mention, but where is the proof?
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x growth over the last month on: March 26, 2019, 01:48:44 PM
I've only read a couple of articles on Publish0x, but that interface is pretty annoying.
You constantly see those tips on the right bottom side of your screen.

I think I'm just sticking with Steemit for the moment, I'm finally at a point where I'm earning decently for most of my articles, sometimes even getting $70 for them, without using bots!
685  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chip-chap.com down? on: March 26, 2019, 01:34:07 PM
You should look into the possibility that the service is not legit. I found some scam accusations from the past while googling about them.

Being down for so many days without announcing anything in their social media website only shows how unprofessional they are.

Scam accusations seemed to be resolved for the most part, but you're completely correct about them being unprofessional for shutting down unannounced.
With resolved, I mean that staff from the website itself at least answered the person making the accusation, which usually shows that it might have been a mistake.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does online gambling operations manage gambling addiction? on: March 26, 2019, 01:19:54 PM
I know that Crypto-Games allows players to contact them when they have problems with gambling addiction and they'll ban that player's IP address if they want it.
I think there are perhaps other casinos that offer similar arrangements, but I personally can't think of any examples.

The least that casinos should offer is a link to gambling addiction resources or a helpline.
Most of them do that luckily.
687  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Club for Newbies on: March 26, 2019, 01:06:44 PM
Have you looked at NastyFans for inspiration?  Not quite a for profit business selling monthly goods, but it is a crypto "club" where "coins" get distributed to members on a weekly* basis.

*Minimum threshold applies

Thanks for mentioning that, had never heard of this project of yours before. Looking into buying a seat from an existing member.

OP, I do think this is a pretty good idea, if you get decent value for your subscription, I would be interested in joining when it's operational.
I just think it would be cool to have a number of different coins sent to your various wallets each month.

Just to see, after a year or so, what kinds of profit those have generated.

I know you can easily buy them yourself, but having it arranged by a third party was make it a bit less time-consuming.
688  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My idea for a bitcoin job forum on: March 25, 2019, 02:10:25 PM
someone might steal your idea haha
Very unlikely, because the idea just isn't very good...

I would never use a forum like that, there are far better ways to come into contact with possible clients.
Sure, here the services boards do work, but that's largely because most of the services are tied to other aspects of this forum.

A forum dedicated purely to freelancers? I really don't think there's enough demand for that...
689  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto-Games.net ⭐ 4 Years Old ⭐ No bet delay on dice every Monday! ⭐ on: March 25, 2019, 01:53:34 PM
Only 1.5 million dice bets to go. We'll probably hit BetID 3,333,333,333 before midnight since more and more players are joining the event.

Well that went by quicker than expected Tongue
Congrats to DanCoin for winning 3.33 LTC, at current prices that's not too bad!
690  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A Decentralised platform for Translators! on: March 25, 2019, 10:21:07 AM
Looks interesting, but my question is, can it really do something better than Google Translate ? I mean with all the money and compute power google has, I doubt that someone can train the AI better than them.
Accurate. Plus, the unreleased projects by Google and other scientists are way ahead of whatever this company an achehve. Their training models are highly accurate and team of extremely smart people are improving them everyday. Google translate is just a beta version of what the general AI is and it’s not even as good as the paid translation services. It doesn’t matter what really you have in there, you will never be sponsored by the Fortune 500 companies to enhance your project.

Deepl's translator is one of the best there is for personal use.
In some cases, I can't even spot the difference from a translation made by humans.

Try it out for yourself, I use it a lot to translate foreign articles.

691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptopia fiasco - Only 77 of 459 projects secured on: March 22, 2019, 04:15:23 PM
Hmm, i don't know if I agree with the conclusion of the article's author.
He's basically saying that Cryptopia now has better security because they've been hacked and have implemented new security measures.

While also stating that other exchanges might have unknown vulnerabilities, because they have not been hacked.

I personally think that there are at least a couple of exchanges that have never been hacked, just because they have good security from the get-go.
Anything can be hacked, let that be clear, but the amount of damage that can be done can greatly be limited if proper cold storage is set-up.
692  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Literatus.org - blogging platform where authors earn [Bitcoin accepted here] on: March 22, 2019, 03:29:54 PM
Huh, I really like the concept of this and I'm pretty tempted to join actually, even if it's just for fun.
I don't see people earning huge amounts with it yet, I mean you best sellers have earned only $0.10 - $0.25 per article, but it's neat nonetheless.

I'm a big fan of the overall design as well, looks incredibly clean and easy to read.

Thanks, I'm pleased you liked it! It's a brand new site with a little community at the moment. Hope it will grow fast. Authors earn price * reader_count. So, it'll be great for the author when an $0.25 article is sold 1000s times.

You know, authors say "there is no readers on the platform" and readers say "there is no authors on the platform", but we need to start.

So, I hope you join and give it a chance!

Oh okay, if that's the case then you're already doing quite well considering you've only just started.
I'll definitely think about it, the only issue I'm currently having is coming up with great content for which people would actually pay to read it.

I generally write free content at the moment, which I publish on the Steem blockchain, so making the switch to paid content isn't as easy.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Game Profitable strategy on: March 22, 2019, 12:22:35 PM
How the hell can you have a profitable strategy for a game that has a negative house-edge?
It's impossible that your strategy will be profitable in the long term and trying to sell it as "a profitable strategy" is just the same as scamming people.

Just forget about it, you don't have anything worth selling.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Locking Bounty Rewards To Avoid Dumping on: March 22, 2019, 12:01:43 PM
So they decide to lock bounty rewards after they basically had promised to pay them?
Is that normal? I've never participated in any sort of bounty campaign, so I don't know if it's common practice.

Just seems that it's a highly deceptive thing to do. They basically change the terms of their agreement on a whim.
695  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top sites to cashout to Bank account? on: March 22, 2019, 11:42:57 AM
Usually I tend to use a Dutch Bitcoin exchange to cash out my Bitcoin to my bank account, but since that isn't really an option for you I would suggest Neteller.
I've been using them for quite some time too and never encountered any problems.

You can even get a Mastercard with them and use that to pay with your Bitcoins or withdraw money at ATM's.
Might be the safest method on your case, since you mention that Bitcoin is illegal in your country.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blokchain for tracking bullets and guns. on: March 22, 2019, 11:07:31 AM
The problem with this is that you'd basically need every gun manufacturer to be on board with it or it simply wouldn't work.
Try getting gun manufacturers from non-US countries to implement such a system, it's basically impossible.

Even if every gun manufacturer would be on board, then you would still have the chance that guns and ammunition fall off the radar.
Stock can easily disappear, either from within the factory or from transport, happens all the time.
697  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is there any statistic of how much traffic approx signature getting? on: March 22, 2019, 10:47:01 AM
While I can't give you any info about the number of visitors you'd get, I do have some statistic of how many referrals I get through my signature campaign.
Mind you, I make around 26 - 30 posts per week and with that I generally get around 1 - 5 referrals each week.

It has slowed down a little bit, due to half of the links in my signature not being referrals links anymore, I used to get quite a bit more.

699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Reviewing alternative Steem front-end SteemPeak on: March 22, 2019, 10:21:24 AM
Wow, it looks better than Steemit. This dark mode doesn't kill my eyes like green, but is a steampeak secure?

Yes it should be fully secure, I personally use it with the Steem Keychain plugin on Firefox, but you can also use SteemConnect.
The website itself does not get access to your private posting keys etc.

I think that you do not need to give it your master password even, so even if somehow your private posting key gets compromised, you can still change it as long as you have your master password.

Here you go:

They look really good actually! I'm glad that you've partnered up with the same company that provided the labels for the Casascius & Denarium coins.
I actually think this uncolored one already looks really nice, I'm a big fan of their general look.

Just checked out your store again and your prices are more than fair!
