701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC MINERS 101 - NO ROI - OVERSOLD TO MARKET - POOR PROFIT - SCAMMERS on: July 03, 2018, 05:46:10 AM
This thread is 4 pages of pure comedy gold.  The bottom line is if you don't believe in asics or think they are a waste of money, don't buy one.  If you are not fully educated on mining you have no business sending $2000+ worth of bitcoin(cash) to some company in China for them to send you a loud and hot machine that has a 6 month warranty.  I mean truly the people who got burned have no one to blame but themselves.  Bitmain has numerous warnings on their site about profitability.  The only thing they guarantee is that it will mine at a certain hashrate and work for 6 months.  If it took 10 machines for OP to realize it was a bad investment then I don't know what to say.  I do know in November if you owned a S9 you were making money.  Funny how when the market is down people blame bitmain instead of themselves.
yup keep buying asics, might as well flush your btc down the drain

already with no forks and the z9 is making 50 percent of what it made two weeks ago
B3 dead , X3 dead 💀

go on with ur bad selves 😂😂
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NIX - Make Bitcoin, altcoins and tokens anonymous with NIX Platform! on: July 02, 2018, 04:32:01 PM
under .90cents lool .25 cent by this friday book it

this is not Fud its FACTS.  Ita very easy to mine cheap on nicehash due to the ancient algo
Me myself i ranted 150ghs for an hour on day 1 and mined 500 nix , dumped  at 3.

saw this coming, maybe it might be a good project in the long term but for now , Its Ass.

don’t forget the holding of zoin cost alot of people millions in losses already , from 1.50 per coin down to .18 cents

To recoup thier losses NiX hast to be worth at least .75 cente by next week , I dont see that

704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NIX - Cross-chain privacy & smart contracts [Private BTC & Atls TX's] on: July 02, 2018, 05:18:28 AM
lol they banned me from discord for telling them they were dumb for choosing an Algorithm
that has mostl likely Fpgas and hidden asics , asics and fpgas can basically mine this algo heavily
for alot less than $2 per nix so expect the price to go sub $1 , even lower when people start getting claims

Nostradamus .... What do you want to bet that will not be so? That this prediction comes from nowhere, with random numbers?
0.5 BTC of bet? Do we make a smart contract with this bet and put a date?

M.
LOL give that man your 0.5 btc,  last price 0.00014001= $0.8909
NIX goes to $0.25 or less after people get their NIX and dump on market after poor public relations from dev team

It goes to a few cents. If it looks like a scam, acts like a scam, and sounds like a scam, then it probably is a scam. Dev team gets triggered easily.

Wanna point out, their attitude is like: they own the fund/project so fck all who asks valid, but sensitive questions and they dont give a shit about community. Wonder when they will cash out btw.
true story, insta bans on thier discord, their unprofessional imo, well looks like I was spot on the price predictions,
heres my btc addy lol

Hi did anyone registered on idax? I tried but get "server is busy" message.
i did

I tried to put some NIX to IDAX, but my wallet didn't finish the transaction for more than 4 hours now!
Immediately (after waiting an hour) I send a message to NIXPlatform guys at Twitter, but still no response.

Basically, I have my 10 NIX "nowhere". Wallet says transaction is not confirmed and in memory pool... But, I don't see any progress, neither I can abandon/cancel it and try again.
Lucky, it's only 10 NIX..  so I lost just few bucks, but it is annoying that noone gives an response and idea how to solve it.

Using 1.0.0. and now 1.0.1 Windows wallet...

If a person offends someone then he also says that he has done it is right to be banned, if a person sees something differently from another can make it present without offending giving the stupid, if you do not like the project, there is you need to waste time writing! I'm very curious to see if this great prediction of the price will occur! I took a note, then we'll talk later

M.
I disagreed with the devs and they banned me just for that ,  seems kinda heavy handed to me 🤷🏾‍♂️, its just a prediction price wise but there is millions of nix to hit the market soon from the air drop, with the losses those buyers took from zoin , I bet at least 20 to 30 percent will cash out at least 50 percent,
thats what I would do.  I hope the project suceeds but using such an old algo for a new project was risky imo

for instance you cant eveb buy x16r or s or cn heavy hash on nicehash which keeps the mega farms from raping the hash

I do not understand
Before you said you called them stupid ...
Now you say you have only said your opinion, the two things seem very different!
Whether the algorithm is older or newer does not matter, the important thing is that it works, the GPU farms can undermine, I do not think so asic ...
However, dedicate 5 minutes to the link I posted and clarify your ideas!
Ps: if in my project comes a person who knows me stupid, at least bunned

M.

I said it was dumb to use such and old algo for a new project how hard is that to understand, look at cryptonite, equhashi all supposedly asic resistant but once they forked the hash rate went down 90% and suddenly asics were for sale.

No newish project that claims decentralization and fairness should be using a two year old algo that is pretty much going to have lage FPGA and hidden asics behind it.

Just because you THINK it is hard for asics to be on an algo doesnt make it fact.  Ask Monero and Zencash what they think about that.  Only way to flush them out is to fork them.

scam ?

It is clear that everyone is free to ask questions, but tell me this question of yours from where does it come out? What kind of study did you do on the project? Did you see something strange that led you to write this?
Just 20 minutes of reading to understand that revolution can bring NIX in the world of crypto! but maybe you just had time to write scam ... I'm sorry!!!

M.

People on the zoin thread and saying we have been scammed, personally i own 5000 zoin which i paid a pretty penny for and have heard no news, till the 25th and we were told the 20th so the question
scam ? is based on the lack of info and the delays

I understand your point of view, but just analyze the whole path done in recent months and do not hear a troll complaining, it may be true that there are 10 days late, but it is better a product made and tested well that part on the exchange just and not one that comes out just to respect the times, we talk about a few days! And then why think in a scam? If I wanted to make a scam, I would do an ico, with pre mining and above all without registering the product in the United States, where scams are punished in a serious way!
Have patience my friend, you may have paid so much the zoin, but nix will make you great results ... If you can also do a ghostnode, choose the country where to go to relax

M.
There are definitely alot of trolls on the zoin thread, your common sense post reassures me for sure, thank you
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: June 27, 2018, 01:05:24 AM
How much of a boost would I be getting by flashing my vega56's? Running pretty stable at ~2000 H/s on CNv7 at the moment.
um vega 56 dont do more than 1400 on cn heavy , u mean frontiers?
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: June 26, 2018, 07:51:14 PM
Looks like the Equihash ASICs are affecting most GPUs it seems.

Basically I still got a bunch of Radeon 7950/7970/R9 280X from the Litecoin days.

Mined LTC then DARKCOIN then ETH then ZEC with those for the last 5 years or so...

They were mostly on ZEC since the day it came out because the DAG of ETH slowed them down too much.

Luckily they still work on Cryptonight V7 and also can run at the lowest possible voltage (0.950V) while maintaining almost 600H/s. From the wall its like 125 watts or so. Basically seems like a waste of a GPU since these beasts used to pull 350 Watts from the wall each while mining LTC.

Sooner or later will be time to pack them up and probably put them in my museum. Doubt they will go for much on eBay or Craigslist and 80% of them got faulty fans.

Both AMD and NVIDIA farms are mining XMR currently with lowest acceptable hashrate to save on power bill during this poor BTC price and ASICs madness.

Meanwhile, 28 of my 1080ti -- seems like a waste mining CN7 -- all that power but easily matched with cheaper RX Polaris cards..... so I have been testing BYTOM. The algo is "tensority" and currently supported by Bminer ZEC miner v9.

Yes, Antminer B3s are all over this coin too and selling at 3k-ish at Eastshore. I dont see the B3 in the Bitmain shop anymore - wonder why. Specs: 780H/s at 360watts. Currently Top 50 @37 cents, https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bytom/

I have tested mining with my best 1080ti test-rig, ZOTAC AMP Extreme 3xGPU rig getting around 3300H/s capped at 170w per card. Rig running SMOS/bminer v9 (with BYTOM support).

I see Binance listing the coin soon, so looks like this Bytom platform may get a following - reading the project whitepaper - its quite impressive that a full mainnet is already out, at a glance similar to EOS or ADA, but maybe localized only to China market.

Do I smell a winner here -- or do we say bye-bye to GPU mining altogether?
there’s plenty of x16 and cn fork coins to mine that are stupidly undervalued, i don’t get the doom and gloom sentiment on gpus, yeah ok gone are the three month roi days we are back to a year or so before you get your investments back... um thata the norm , 2015 and 2016 were an exception not the norm.

gpu mining in the past as mine and hold speculative investing , where the ones who get rich pay their electric and other costs either with exceas hash or holding a job.

ppl are just spoiled rotten.  Personally Im glad for this semi downturn , we needed a dose of reality to shake out the moonkids and weak hands

720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Heavy rain , board shut down on: June 22, 2018, 08:21:36 PM
One of my mining rigs which I keep in a country nearby got a bit of water, the reason was the guy who takes care for them for me was a bit irresponsible as he left windows open while a heavy rain he told me happened today there. The good thing, out of all the mining rigs only one, the one which was near the window was shut down. He told me he was too afraid to open it so he is waiting for tomorrow or aftertomorrow to trouble shoot it. Any good steps for troubleshooting ?
order a new mother board
