Under no circumstances would suggest any Web wallet. Not coinbase, Xapo , blockchain.info or any other Web wallet. If it's open source and you hold your own private keys it's a good wallet. Try electrum, armory, Bitcoin core. There are lots of ios and android options too, just don't get Web wallet apps!!

When bitcoins dropped under $2000 that was the best time to buy. You won't see that ever again unless something along the way goes horribly wrong. I'm not selling. That's for damn sure.
When the subject is crypto currencies, here bitcoin, I never be 100% sure for anything. You're much more experinced than me and you alredy know this. However, I agree with you about last $2000 was the best time to buy last week. Lol when bitcoins dropped under 1k it was the end of the world. Then we hit a new ATH, then the price just kept going up and up. There is way more volume than there has ever been and way more people use bitcoin. There's just no chance of us going to those prices again, and 2k is dirt cheap so I'm never expecting it again. Could it happen? Sure. If it does I'll be buying the dip.

Maybe after the increase in block size to 2MB towards the end of the year, or maybe sooner than that if things stay bullish. Four digit coins might become history soon, and in a few years become as unattainable as double digit coins are today. Hopefully in a few years people will be making threads entitled "when $100k".
This will happen eventually anyway. We're going step by step. Remember how fast we hit $2.000 this year after march's hard fork rumors. If bitcoin could maintain its development, we'll hit $10.000 within 10 years for sure. 10? Nah. 2. Probably less but I'm just assuming some exchange will get hacked or something big and negative will happen. That always slows down price increases.

is South Korea the bad Korea or the good Korea? Haven't been keeping up with the news.
Lol are you really that cut off from the world? Hey, where the bad guys the Nazis in WWII or was it the jews? I haven't been keeping up with 'the news'. Durp.
Their exchange's volumes are huge! I can't even believe how fast they are buying. $600MM+ a day?! Omg.

Alphabay was all over the news for the past week but Hansa? I have never heard about it before. Are they as big as Alphabay?
I hope they are trying to hide their tracks well. I do not use and go to the darknet but I reckon they should use a good anonymous cryptocoin like Monero to be safe.
Hansa wasn't as big as ABin terms of vendor but they had a different multi-sig setup for payments, and fewer issues because of that, in contrast with the site wallet of AB, at least as far as I could tell early 2017. As AB got worse, people moved to Hansa. Yup, AlphaBay's shutdown sent traffic flooding into the smaller Hansa marketplace. But that new traffic of tens of thousands of users was unaware that Dutch police had already taken control of Hansa, giving them the ability to identify and track buyers and sellers. The Hansa market also got shutdown after that. Hahaha! Those stupid fleeing criminals weren't too stupid to see that coming!! Idk, I don't condone buying drugs or weapons so why should I give a crap about this? So what, people used bitcoins. It's not going to affect the price.

But if an exchange is regulated what's the difference to them and a bank? Honestly, nothing. Or even a stock exchange. Suspend trades if the price is dropping too much? Seriously!? Flash crashes happen. It's a fair market. If you can't handle it you shouldn't be invested in cryptocurrency.

The Japan Cryptocurrency Business Association has officially announced its plan on how to deal with the possibility of a Bitcoin protocol split on August 1. Thirteen of the group’s bitcoin exchange members, including Coincheck, Gmo-Z, Bitbank, and Bitpoint, will suspend bitcoin deposits and withdrawals on August 1 at 00:00 Japan time. https://news.bitcoin.com/13-japanese-exchanges-suspend-bitcoin-service-august-1 Undoubtedly, the Japanese act wisely, declaring the suspension of trading operations with bitcoins on the exchanges. Better just in case, to be safe, otherwise you can make a lot of mistakes. We all hope that, as on this day, and later nothing serious with bitcoin will happen. But still... Ok but I thought that we already steered clear from a hark fork so what's the point of suspension of trades if there's not going to be a hard fork at all??

So whats you stats saying? in how many days it will cross $3000btc as far as 1st august is coming the bitcoin is rising. it seems that it will be at $5000 after 1 Aug
I think this is highest point of coming-back. After that 6 years till price will cross $3000 again but then it will go to around $5000-$6000 Lol, you sir are mistaken. This is just getting us back on track to where bitcoins were already heading. It's smooth sailing from here!! We'll see $3k next week, then after August first when it's all fine and no panic we'll see a steady rise again.

Oh gee whiz folks I sure do hope that we don't disrupt the corrupt financial system owned by one giant trillionaire family. They need to feed their families you know. Why these big wigs bother making these stupid statements for sheep to follow is beyond me. The older generations that get their news from TV and that crap will eat this garbage up.

Over 5,000 retail stores and restaurants across Japan that currently accept bitcoin payments may suspend bitcoin use in their stores on August 1 if their bitcoin payment processors halt services.
Ever since the Japanese government started recognizing bitcoin as a legal method of payment, a large and growing number of retail stores and restaurants have started accepting the cryptocurrency. However, “some Japanese retailers and restaurants that accept bitcoin are considering halting transactions using the digital currency, which faces a potential split amid competing plans for its future,” according to Nikkei on Thursday.
However, on Thursday the possibility of a network split was significantly reduced as the scaling compromise for Segregated Witness (Segwit) was locked in with a strong consensus. Nonetheless, the exchanges are still prepared to suspend bitcoin services, should a network split occur.Read More Here. Although the possibility of a network split is getting remote everyday, still there will be technical changes that need to be addressed by Bitcoin as so we should still be prepared for some necessary disruptions. I think wallet service providers will also be suspending their services to protect the members' funds and watch out for possible changes that need to take effect before they would be opening their doors for business again. Of course they will. They'll hold your bitcoins hostage and decide what they should do with them. This is like of you owned stocks and you bought them through a bank. They would have to decide what they weren't doing when the stocks split 10:1. You have absolutely no say in it. The difference is there will be two chains and you may not like what they decide to support!

Most people would suggest that you wait as btc will probably rise, however, you also have to factor in how time-sensitive your purchase is
Well if you own 10 bitcoins and all of them will buy you the car you want, maybe you should just buy the car that costs 3 bitcoins to get you from point A to point B and in a few years spend another 3 bitcoins to get that car that would have cost you 10 bitcoins before. Make sense?

Males dominate the whole coding nerdy sector so it makes sense. More women are using bitcoins now though because it's becoming more mainstream. Also women as a whole are less risky than men and bitcoins are very risky. Source? How much do you pay for car insurance? How much do women your age pay? Nuff said.

Lol that's pretty sad that you can't see an obvious scam like this from a mile away. The second post is also bolded just like the OP and the writing style is the same. Now look at when he said he sent it to him, he forgot something didn't he? Oh ya, a transaction ID! Fake bullshit.

What a stupid time to jump ship haha. Everything will be better on august 2nd so why would you leave when your bitcoins will be a better product? If your car was getting free rims, paint, a sunroof and HD lights would you sell it just before you got them?

Are you serious? What affects currencies that aren't global? Everything within that economy. What affects bitcoins? Literally everything. If some big news comes out in China it affects us all. If positive news happens in Russia you see a little rise but then 12h later if a country band bitcoins you'll see a dip.

Bitcoins drop to 1800 and you sell. You have weak hands. It means you can't handle the pressure so you sell. Now that they're back up those people who sold regret it obviously.

First thing I get in my email this morning is that my C-Cex password has been changed. I've never used C-Cex before so who cares. I went to see if maybe I signed up way back in the day so I reset my password again. The brand new password won't work. I tried resetting it again. It doesn't work. I try to open a ticket and it says the captcha is wrong. I try to do anything and the website is down for "5-7 minutes of maintenance" (which so far has lasted 10hours.).
What the hell am I supposed to do now? I just want them to close my (non existent) account so they don't get screwed over from some hacker. I have nothing to lose there so I really don't care. I'd just rather not get these emails every single time their crappy exchange gets hacked. It seems to be every 3-6 months I get another email.
I have a secure system and I'm not getting hacked so I know C-Cex is getting hacked. My password was very long and random and never reused. I'd appreciate if anyone knows how I can get my account closed without opening a ticket since even that doesn't work on their site lol.
Are you 100% sure you landed on the original c-ex website? There is a strong possibility that it was a phishing email and you landed on a phishing page and put the username/password. In this case, if you don't have any c-ex account then nothing to worry much, but if you had one, you might have passed your credentials Lol I'm not an idiot. I don't click links. I went to the real website and reset the password again, set up a new password. i don't understand 1 thing, you say you never had any account in c-cex and never used it and then say your password is strong and long! you had a c-cex account or not!!!
anyways, you can find the owner on bitcointalk if you want, they have a topic here and the account name is c-cex.
also consider the possibility that you received a phishing email if you didn't have a c-cex account! don't click on any of its links you may have infected your computer if you did...
@HI-TEC c-cex.com and cex.io are two different exchanges.
Spam less, read more. My system has a long random password. I don't use c-cex and after all of this I never will.
