741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC needed for retirement in 10 years? on: March 24, 2023, 06:10:21 PM
In general, the more bitcoins you accumulate, the more comfortable you will feel in retirement. But I think it would be too risky to concentrate all your retirement money on a volatile and risky asset like crypto. I agree with what pooya87 said, you should diversify your assets with assets other than crypto. In case, if your crypto investment crashes and you don't diversify your assets then your retirement dreams will disappear. Don't forget that bitcoin or ETH are both very risky.
Do not settle for anything less if you are still capable to add more to it. Just accumulate crypto whenever you can. However, do not forget that crypto does not give us guarantee that they will be forever be profitable and that their prices will always be on the rise. That’s why if we can also balance our fiat accumulation with crypto, that will make us more secured in our retirement days. We can also try to consider investing into different assets aside from crypto so that if one does not work well, our retirement will never be completely affected and ruined.
742  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 24, 2023, 01:14:28 PM
It can be said that inflation is also a part of the world economy, but at this time due to the consequences of the pandemic and war, inflation has become larger and more unpredictable. Every government is different, some are still trying their best to bring stability and prosperity to their people but there are many greedy governments that only care about themselves and leave their people alone. But no matter what country you live in, don't expect too much or depend too much on others, I believe that only we can save ourselves, no one can save us.
I don’t think the government will be responsible enough to end poverty. It won’t be, but they can create different initiatives to control and lessen poverty. However, it’s the people themselves that should be responsible to end poverty, and not the government. Because even if the government provides different opportunities for the people, if the people don’t have the right mindset to see progress in their own lives, they will always live poorly and continue to struggle in life.
743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you advice a new trader to join a trading community or group? on: March 23, 2023, 10:52:38 PM
As a trader, things can get difficult and discouraging if you cannot relate with any other person who will have a good understanding of what you are saying concerning trading, to solve that challenge, are you part of any trading community or group that you share tips and new strategies? What other ways can you say you have benefited from being in a community asides sharing of tips and strategies. Are you doing better than when you did things on your own. Can there be any major disadvantage being a member of such a trading groups? What is your advice to people?
There’s no harm if you advice a new trader to join a trading community as that will help him to learn more about trading strategies and skills, and to heighten his knowledge on trading. However, this will only harm a trader if he trade quickly thinking that he could also be profitable like other members in the community. Trading is not like that, you will only be profitable and successful in trading if you have achieved the required knowledge and skills, and that you can already be efficient in reading the market and making good analysis on it.
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can do better job opportunities if empower by government on: March 23, 2023, 08:45:13 PM
Government always refused to see the positive aspects of events when it comes to what will profit the masses. Assuming government can easily understand the power of bitcoin in improving self dependency by citizens of different nations.

If IMF and UN can come together to strength the values and important of bitcoin as centralize legal digital currency with independence network system to act on digital market and helps in improving I.T for youths all over the world.

Bitcoin easily create stable jobs in different uniforms.
Buying and selling of bitcoin virtual cards, bitcoin pay points agents, ATM machine, bitcoin gifts cards, extension of campaign teams, and monopoly of market. Alls this could reduce unemployment by government schemes.
That maybe what’s supposed to happen if only the government creates a favorable action towards bitcoin,  but it turned out that there’s no centralized government that would want to embrace a decentralized currency because they believe it will never do good in the people in the long run. They only consider bitcoin as a hype or FUD, and when it’s gone people will just regret trusting it. That’s how the government sees bitcoin, so expect that accepting bitcoin if ever will still take long years of investigation before they will realize that it’s an asset rather than a threat or obstacle to the government.
745  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: March 20, 2023, 05:15:30 PM
In my opinion, the trend and performance of bitcoin will still be good in the next few years, the number of users who continue to increase is an important key that the price of bitcoin will easily skyrocket, if we don't have the capital to buy bitcoin then a good solution is to take a loan, if we take a loans in banks only pay interest of around 20% per year, while bitcoin in January can increase by more than 40%.

No mate, why would you advice someone to take a loan just to invest in cryptocurrencies rather than using their own money that they can afford to lose. As an investor, you should know by now that investing in bitcoin has its own risks as it's too volatile. It might be tempting enough especially if you're looking to hold it for a long-term basis because the interests are somehow manageable but bitcoin's growth throughout the following years is not that guaranteed that you can have the profits and therefore, those funds that you've invest could lose in any given moment and if you advised someone, you might destroy someone else's life because you've planted the wrong seed.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors (36-35) will visit the Memphis Grizzlies (42-27) tonight at FedExForum. The Warriors are bad at road with 7-28 record while the Grizzlies are 28-5 at home.
Warriors key injuries: Andre Iguodala (wrist) out, Gary Payton II (thigh) out, Ryan Rollins (foot) out, Andrew Wiggins (personal) out
Grizzlies key injuries: Steven Adams (knee) out, Brandon Clarke (Achilles) out, Ja Morant (personal) out

Any special reason why you pick GSW over Grizzlies at home? I know Morant is out, but they still have a lot of good defense for the Grizzlies. 1.90 is really an inviting odds, but personally, I would pick the spread for GSW rather than ML. But yeah, an interesting pick given that they're really terrible on the road. Just pray that Steph and the gang would perform their magics on the court to give GSW a comfortable lead before the final minutes of the game, which the Grizzlies have excellent defese and ball rotations on.

He already stated some of the facts and made a point why the Warriors are just too bad on the road, yet he wagered the money line on the Warriors favor even if it's not that enticing enough even if the Grizzlies are not yet complete and while the Warrriors core are complete, that is still not enough IMO. I agree, handicap/spread are much better.

Their next match-up is against the Houston Rockets. Let's see if they can break the curse.

That's a tough game to bet golden state has been horrible on the road.  And the Grizzlies always play up to the Warriors when they are playing each other.  I'm laying off this game and just gonna enjoy watching this one.  Always fun with all the smack talking between these 2 teams.  Big game though for the Warriors.  They need to figure out how to win on the road against good teams if they are gonna compete for anorher chip.

Tough game because they are still under the impression that they are cursed on the road but looking at it closely, their next game is with the Rockets and it's really a winnable on their side especially after the fact that this team is tanking. But if they will still get defeated by the Rockets, I don't know anymore about this Warriors and they should start reflecting from it before it gets worse and potentially destroy their campaign towards the Finals.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 20, 2023, 01:55:47 PM
They both were already not at their peak, Christiano Ronaldo was a bit sad to see actually. He was replaced and his replacement played much better than him.

Messi was still OK, but not at a spectacular level. He won the world cup in the end, but it was more of a team effort really.

I don't think any of them will be able to play at that level in the next world cup.
I also agree with that. Regrettably, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are not in their prime, but anyway, they still have a relevant performance and technique, I dare to say that they are still one of the best players in the world, maybe they can be a top 5 or Top 10 players currently.

I believe this will be the trend, the "Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo era" will soon be over and soon Mbappé, Haaland and others will be references in world football.

I confess that I am very anxious to see and analyze the performance of Mbappe, Haaland and others in the 2026 world cup

That's the same for any player in the world, they sometimes shine for years and then the player's performance can decrease over time after they get old but still, they are the same player so that normal to say they still have a good performance even comparing many top young players, but the thing is they will neer performer like the first days and that's why I think they won't play in the next world cup for their team.

And that's normal as that is how the cycle of life works, CR7 and Messi are surely an icon in the world of football but they cannot stay on their status forever as there will be a time that their era will end and will be replaced with another future icons of the sport, with the likes of Mbappe. That particular time is already near enough and unfortunately, we might have already witnessed CR7 and Messi's last appearance in World Cup. But on the bright side, we are really lucky enough because we managed to see how good they are on their time.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 20, 2023, 01:25:53 PM
If we compare the individual stats of these two players, we can see that they both perform at their best on the court. Embiid averages more points per game, and he's clearly a good scorer, while Jokic is a more universal center as he grabs more rebounds and has more assists per game. In fact, both are equally deserving of the award, although I'd rather see Embiid as the MVP of this season.
This is one of the most talked about topics right now :p

I confess that both are favorites for MVP, Embiid and Jokic.

They are players who occupy the same position but each one has several unique characteristics, Jokic can be a little more well arounded, have more skills, assists and vision of the game, whereas Embiid is stronger, despite his height he has a ball handling relevant and also more dominant (of course what I said about these players was somewhat superficial, each one has other qualities).

Let's see until the end of the regular season which of the two will stand out more! I will be rooting for Embiid, but I have no doubt that Jokic also deserves to receive that MVP award again

Yes, let's see about that but the way I see it, we might see another MVP this time as Joel Embiid is now healthy and probably will stay that way until the regular season ends, and if that happens, he might have the award because of the facts that you've stated above. Furthermore, Embiid has been on this campaign since last season but he failed to get what he wanted because he acquired an unfortunate injury.

Anyway, this will be a good battle for the both MVP favorites because Nikola Jokic is also not giving about it as if he will get it again this time, it will be a three-peat on his side and surely that's a thing he couldn't afford to miss.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 19, 2023, 06:50:48 PM
Good news for fans of "No Mercy" Gesta, he won against Jojo Diaz, judges score the fight in his favor, Alejandro Rochin (99-91) and Pat Russell (98-92), while the other judges, hehehe, maybe he is watching other fight because the score is somewhat questionable, Judge Pam Hayashida (97-93).

I just wonder though if Ryan Garcia fought Gesta, maybe there could be upsets as well, hehehe.

In any case, good for Gesta, his career can move on and most likely fight for another day. While for Diaz, no longer the hype on his name, probably this weight for his is too much, maybe it's better to go down to 130 lbs.

That may be the reason why they cancel the planned bout between Gesta and Ryan Garcia, they smell an upset if that was pushed through.

Have forgotten to post in this thread the odds for this fight, Gesta was a very heavy underdog @6.20 ML and unfortunately, i have put a bet on this one as I'm very busy with something IRL.

Should have been a unanimous win for Gesta, don't know what fight Judge Hayashida was watching or he was paid to score the bout in favor of Diaz. Luckily for Gesta that Diaz's power punches failed to connect and he uses his jab to keep Diaz at bay.

It's either Pam Hayashida was not that impressed by Gesta's performance, or he's just biased on the fight. I mean, I know it's unfair because Gesta worked hard for it and thrived for it, therefore, he certainly deserved to win the fight by a way of unanimous decision but this one specific judge decided not to go with the flow and made the fight's outcome into a split-decision.

Anyway, I believe this is the very reason why Ryan Garcia cancelled his plan for having a tune-up fight because fighting Gesta is not a tune-up fight for him anymore as it will be a hard-fought fight on his side with a big risk involved especially after the fact that Garcia is already eyeing for Tank Davis. And if ever Garcia will come out alive from his supposed fight with Gesta, I bet he will be suffering a heavy damage too and will not leave the ring unscathed.

Yep, I think it is. If you buy one-two lottery tickets per week, it is probably the safest way of gambling. Of course, winning the Jackpot is not guaranteed even within your entire life, and even within your 20 lives, I would add, but it's fun having always that hope, and it's safe if you not trying buy more ticket for "increasing your chances of winning".
I am happy to see your statement which is very realistic and real, even though I really don't like lottery gambling, I was very amazed when you said buy 1 lottery ticket per week to meet the needs of addiction in lottery gambling.

it makes sense to buy 1 or 2 tickets per week even though it doesn't guarantee getting a jackpot but at least if you're lucky, the winnings won't change hands.

anyway the lottery has a 0.000001% chance of winning for me and buying a lot of tickets within a day to a lifetime if not lucky will only get the number of tickets without winning.

Well, yes, that's indeed a nice advice for someone who are struggling to maintain some safe distance towards gambling activities and this specific move is truly recommended for all bettors out there who just wanted some safe way to feed their vices because it's already eating them from inside out. Betting on the lotter for even up to 3x a week is not that bad and not serious considering that betting on it doesn't need any huge money as a capital and it will eat some time before you will know the outcome.

We have 2 super early games.
New York Knicks - Denver Nuggets - Denver Nuggets (-1.5) 1 AM GMT+8. I am trusting the Nuggets to win one more time here.

Los Angeles Clippers - Orlando Magic - Los Angeles Clippers (-4.5) Kawhi Leonard and Powell are out but I still believe they can win this game without them. Let's see how Westbrook will try to manage the team paired with PG13. It's not new and chemistry will be there but I am expecting lesser mistakes. 3 AM GMT +8.

Looks like I'll be tailing you with these bets you got mate. Nuggets looks interesting but I just have a slight doubt because they are just a negative two even if they are all healthy and will be playing the game tomorrow while for the Knicks, Brunson status was already ruled out because of a foot injury. While for the Clippers, they are still decent even without Kawhi Leonard in this game, PG13 and Brody got this.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 18, 2023, 03:11:50 PM
The Atlanta Hawks also beat the Golden State Warriors. Trae Young recorded 25 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists, a pretty good performance. Trae has a lot of work that the team scored.
Curry again scored over 30 points. They continued to fight until the last quarter, but after stealing the ball from Curry at the last minute, we can say that the game is over. It was actually a close enough match to end with a buzzer beater

What brought them down though is the poor shooting of the Warriors specially in the last couple of minutes.

They should be clutch, but Curry, Donte and Klay missed very important shots in that span that could have tie the score and maybe gain the momentum. Interesting that Poole was bench by Steve Kerr and decided to go with Moody in that last 2 minutes of the game.

Steve Kerr surely had some good reasons why he chose Moses Moody over Jordan Poole, my opinion about that specific move made by coach Kerr was that they are already full in-terms of offensive players as we all know Curry as well as Klay are a clutch player, so Kerr was not that worried about it and what they needed at that moment was a defensive player who can at least help the team lock the Hawks. But the opposite thing happened and even if Steve Kerr planned it carefully, the Hawks was just too hot.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 17, 2023, 07:56:19 PM
For long now I have been reading lots of interesting testimonies around the forum about their experience and achievement they made through bitcoin progress. Something very important came into me to know how do you feels whenever someone said of their investment and how it yielded and they made fortune out of it.

Do you feels your late getting involved to the industry and do you wishes to be like them, and if you were in their shoes would you be able to utilize those opportunity they got or you won't afford to bear the risk and get involved?

Lets discuss wisely and get the best from ourselves.
There’s no reason not to feel happy for them, knowing they dedicated their life to achieve success in the end. Feel intimidated? Of course, no. Why should I? When I know that success can be certain as long as we aim and work hard for it, and eventually become open minded to absorb positive insights that will help me becoming successful. If we can be happy for them, that’s the best we can do and appreciate all their efforts being put to it.
754  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A reminder that with your bitcoin in a cold storage, you can be your own bank on: March 17, 2023, 07:23:18 PM
Having a Bitcoin wallet definitely gives you a lot more control over your funds. You can send and receive money without having to wait for a bank to approve it, and you don't have to worry about fees eating away at your hard-earned cash. Yeah, it's like being your own personal bank, but without all the hassle and paperwork. And let's be real, who wouldn't want that? And who knows, maybe one day we'll all be using it to buy our morning coffee and bagels like it's no big deal.

But like you said, with great power comes great responsibility. You gotta make sure your wallet is safe and secure, or else you risk losing all your coins. So don't forget to keep your private keys under lock and key, and maybe even consider using a hardware wallet for extra security.

That’s actually the best advantage when you are hodling bitcoin on your own wallet. You are in full control of your funds, whether to save more of it or withdraw, just being more convenient that in all that you do, there are no third parties that will approve first your deposit or withdrawal so you have all the freedom to enjoy. However, the need to be highly responsible of your own account is at its utmost. Otherwise, if you are always careless and take action without caution, and being irresponsible of your own private keys, eventually you will lost all your coins and leave you with an empty wallet. So we have to be responsible at all cost.
755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Inadequate or Inspired After Watching These Types of Traders Content on: March 17, 2023, 06:44:58 PM
As a small bitcoin trader, have you ever felt intimidated, distressed, inadequate or inspired after watching these types of videos or content?
To be honest, I have felt that, but it's back to ourselves regarding the capabilities we have and the capital that is indeed not very sufficient. As a result, for me personally, the fate of a person in the world of trading cannot be equated with what we have achieved. Traders with big profits at a young age are in a process of ideal achievement, but should we continue to feel intimidated and feel we are unlucky? Finally, I prefer to build inspiration and make ideal achievements with self-satisfaction versions in the field of trading.

I guess it’s human nature to feel a bit of envy if we see young traders earning a lot already and making their dreams in life come to reality. But if you based yourself from the achievement of others, you will never grow and you might only continue to feel the pressure which is not helpful at all if you want to be a good trader and become highly profitable and skilled in it. Besides, traders have their own time when to make it big in trading, depending on how does a trader work hard and become the best version of himself. So I prefer to work on my own and follow my own strategies which for me are working well and are still reliable when trading.
756  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 17, 2023, 06:13:37 PM
Will you go for less risk, or big profit?

Why not aim for both?  It is a win-win if we can find an investment that has less or manageable risk but can offer a big profit.  I think looking at Bitcoin's history, Bitcoin can offer both.  Investing in the right time lessens the risk and selling at the right time increases the profit.  We are expecting a 761% profit on Bitcoin when it breaks its ATH on 2025 if we invest today.  Regardless of whether hitting the target percentage or not, we all know that Bitcoin will surge after the Bitcoin halving so we might expect a 100% plus profit in a short period of 1 year.  And it is huge in terms of traditional investment.
Precisely. If we can invest in a less risk with high yielding profit, then why not? After all, all investments have their own risk, it all depends on the investor itself if he sees a bigger or lesser risk with regards to the type of investment. However, we cannot stop those young people to invest only on what is gaining higher demand these days, and that is bitcoin. Although real assets are still a good investment, but seeing we are already in a digital age so digital investments like bitcoin and cryptocurrency have been gaining higher demand when it comes to profitability. And if you are more knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to bitcoin, then the more chances that you will lessen the risk and gain maximum profits for income.
757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: March 16, 2023, 10:53:30 PM
Remember the first trading lesson you learned as a newbie? Did it come from a win or a loss? A loss teaches you about the reality of the market, protects you from becoming cocky, and humbles you. When you are a beginner trader, a small loss is not a terrible thing. Losses teach you proper trading risk management strategies and techniques and respect for the market and prepare you for long-term success.

Remember the first lesson you learned as a beginner trader? Did it come from a loss or a win?
Certainly, we learned more from our losses because that will motivate us not to do the same mistakes again and instead learn from them. And to think that successful traders nowadays went through tons of losses before, maybe the reason why they never stop thriving from trading and do everything to maximize their skills and benefit from it.
758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: March 16, 2023, 09:48:11 PM
Your uncle is so unfortunate for trusting his friend which he don't actually know if he is reliable trader. If you can still do some action to save up the money of your uncle then tell him about what you notice so that he can slowly pull out his money if there are still left to minimize the damage done. Also give him an advice to not take a loan if he just invest it on crypto because this is so risky decision to do.
He is just a victim of false hope and dishonesty. His friend is just clearly taking advantage of the situation knowing he could use your uncle’s money for the sake of his own investment. But the damage has been done. Just tell your uncle that he should not expect for his money anymore to be returned to him, his friend might lose them all for all he knows. For now, if he has still left to invest, then guide him if he ask assistance from you. If not, then let him see realize his own mistake by not trusting you and instead trust his friend who is not even sure if he’s doing the right thing in crypto.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep money in the bank or buy bitcoins? on: March 15, 2023, 09:59:36 PM
In my opinion, if you buy some bitcoins instead of keeping money in the bank, you can benefit from the current market.  Because Bitcoin is known as the godfather of digital currency around the world.  Your bank will give you a small profit on your capital month after month.  And besides, the bank can be robbed.  But if you keep buying bitcoins then bitcoins will not be lost at all. Even if the price drops a bit it will reach such a price and height that your capital will be doubled.  So I think it is better to buy bitcoins than bank.  Then he acts as he pleases.  This is my personal opinion.  thank you
It’s always an individual’s choice. You can still save your money in the bank but never expect for bigger interest and profits as banks will control everything and left us with only low interest rate. However, if you chose to buy bitcoin, for me that’s a wiser decision but knowing how risky it is to invest despite of the highly volatile market, then you should be able to manage the risk so you won’t see yourself losing in the end. Otherwise, if you are not that strong and confident with your own investment, you will be easily triggered with its price fluctuations and will leave you in panic which makes you decide to sell at a losing price.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 13, 2023, 09:29:59 PM
Well, this is going to be the biggest fight of the year as the PPV sales are sold in just five minutes, it's worth the hype and many years of wait I don't have the figure yet I saw this drop in my social media feed, what I'm sure of is it will surpasses all the other PPV before the fight happens, we will see many more videos of thrash talks because I doubt this two will stop, because the hatred and the dislike are real.

That was really expected considering these two are currently at their prime time and currently at their very best without injury the fight is also hard to predict because they are both capable of surprising their opponent with their fast and huge power punches. I wonder where else they could get money aside from PPV in this fight? is this the fullest money they can make when they sold it out?

PPV sales are sold in just five minutes? I really doubt that because the Garcia-Davis fight haven't released their PPVs yet as they are still on the ticket price right now, also, why would PPVs get sold out? There are unlimited numbers for that certain thing and it's not really limited as like the tickets because the seats are numbered compared to the PPVs which almost every household can subscribe about it as long as they got the money for it.

Yes, surely that is not the PPV of the fight which got sold-out in just mere 5 minutes from it was released. It was the tickets for the fight and in-fact, it is the most fastest tickets that has been sold out in the entire T-Mobile Arena history. Imagine that, an arena which got 20,000 seats just got sold-out in just mere 5 minutes. That is truly fascinating!

I just wanna share some news regarding about the tickets because the people who managed to get themselves a lot of those tickets are now reselling it for an outrageous prices:
“A Poor Man Sport but Only Rich People Can Afford It”: $49,000 Resale Tickets for Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia Sends Shockwaves Through Boxing World

that's the very reason why the tickets got sold out in few minutes as there are whales behind it. and those whales are becoming bigger because they can sell their tickets at overwhelming price. some will take the expensive price if they have no more choice just to watch the fight. but of course, if you have no budget, you can very well watch via PPV or free live streaming or better yet, wait for the re-play of the fight.

That is pretty much expected for a fight with a magnitude like this and I cannot really believe that the tickets will get sold like that, but if that happens in 1-2 days might be believable and that all people who bought it are also the ones who will use it in the actual fight schedule. Quite funny for me because these people are now selling it in a much higher price. Well, I cannot blame them because it's all about business and those who got big pockets got some advantage over these tickets and of course, kudos to GBP for making a fight like this.
