741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 05:41:02 AM
You would really feel the essence of gambling once you experience it with your heart. It's a sign that you are risking a decent amount of money, where you will be so happy if you win and so sad when you lose. As much as possible, I try to control my emotions, as not all the time I win. What if I lose most of the time? It makes me upset and might affect my future endeavors in life.

Maybe gamble with just a small amount of money, just to feel the thrill. But if you decide to go full-time or take gambling seriously, at least learn how to control your emotions, as they are not what's necessary to win; it should be the mind.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 21, 2023, 05:09:23 AM
However, the burden is for Casimero to come up with big wins before he could fight Inoue, or at least Top Rank and his Japanese counterpart will be interested. So with the Oguni fight and the video resurfacing that Casimero is trying hard because he wants to fight Inoue next, it should be interesting on how Casimero will dispatch Oguni in their fight.

On paper, yes, but among the fans, Inoue dodging Casimero will have a negative impact on his legacy. Just like Mayweather, who is undeniably a great fighter and was undefeated when he retired, but people still talk more about Pacman and believe that he had a better career than Mayweather. I think in boxing, it's the fans who should be followed, and since they want to see Inoue fight Casimero, I think the champion should make that happen.

It's not good for Inoue, though. He has some baggage left as he moves up in weight. As long as Casimero is still active in boxing, people will continue to link him to Inoue. I also think that if Inoue were to move up, Casimero might follow, especially if his goal is to prove to the world that he can beat Inoue, whom he called a turtle.
743  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 20, 2023, 01:07:38 PM
Those people who settle into thinking bitcoin as a get rich quick will definitely change their bitcoin outlook once they started their real investment with bitcoin. Instead of expecting fast and consistent profits, they will experience the other way around, and most probably more on losses than gains. With personal experience from bitcoin, I'm quite sure that the thinking about bitcoin as a get rich quick tool will never be entertain again.
It's not anything new to be honest. People invest to get rich and they expect that the volatile nature of Bitcoin would yield them plenty of profits while it's not going to be like that as we expected. There are people thinking that just because celebrities like Musk would mention Bitcoin or  a couple of altcoins would give them "EZ PZ" profits.

I doubt that the newer generation would see Bitcoin first as a decentralized crypto since money and its value is like an issue these days.
That is the result of these social media influencers saying that investing in crypto will make us rich without mentioning that it takes years before it happens. So what is in their mind is that after buying today, they will earn a profit tomorrow, and the next day, they become rich. That is why many people also say that Bitcoin is a scam thing because it fails their expectations.

If we fully understand how Bitcoin investment works, it is possible the growth of investors is getting low. More people become worried and doubtful if they know the huge risk behind it because most of us want assurance and are afraid to lose any amount.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The ATISFY Project Is Suspected to Be a ShitCoin on: September 20, 2023, 12:16:24 PM
The project owner's lack of information about the team, coupled with no one overseeing the wallet linkage for actual usage, or perhaps just for swapping, raises concerns about whether this project is a worthwhile investment of time. With only a website in place and lacking the community engagement channels that other projects typically have, it appears to be quite limited in scope.
This is the project's website: https://atisfy.io/

Reputation is very important when choosing an investment and in the absence of that feature, it was reasonable enough to reject that project. And this project that you have mentioned OP, it was clear enough to say that it was not just a useless project but it was also a scam project. No way it will win the hearts of investors but certainly, it was ignored.

So many projects like this and I'm just wondering why still there are investors that have fallen into this kind which in fact, it was visible enough to see how worthless it was.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 20, 2023, 07:59:10 AM
But then again, it will have to defend his belt against the former champion Ancajas. Jerwin might have a good chance to win as Takuma is not well known to be a puncher like his brother. And Ancajas might have adjusted to 118 lbs already after his 9 successive wins at 115 lbs and most likely he had a hard time making that weight that's why he has back to back loses.

This is a fight that has fans split 50/50. There isn't a clear superior boxer in this matchup, not even the reigning champion. Jerwin has held the championship before, so he's no stranger to this situation. I'm confident he will give it his all, train diligently, and employ a smart strategy to regain his championship. In the bantamweight division, there aren't many vastly superior champions, so if Jerwin wins, he could find more success here, possibly even in an undisputed bout.
We're going to find out once the odds become available, but given that this fight is just under two months away, it's a bit early for betting odds on a match that isn't very well-known. No offense intended, this is a championship fight, but it hasn't gained much popularity, especially since Naoya (the brother of Takuma) left the division. It has gradually lost some of its appeal, and now we're paying closer attention to the super bantamweight division.
Although the odds aren't available yet, I've already predicted that Inoue will be the heavy favorite. We can't deny that the thrill of watching fights without Naoya is different, as most boxers in this division possess regular skills, unlike Inoue, who can truly dictate the pace by dominating his opponents. I've even watched some of his fights where his opponents hesitate to engage in the ring, fearing they might get hit and knocked out. So, even in what appears to be a one-sided fight, the excitement builds when Inoue's opponent faces the possibility of a knockout.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 20, 2023, 07:27:11 AM
Oh wow, you still think you are right.
U must be a cupcake fan then. Tell me 1 all nba caliber player that Lillard played with please! LeMarcus Aldridge, lol.
Now tell me who Durant played with please! Yeah that’s right!
Nonsense at its best. It’s like saying Ben Simmons and Kyrie are the same, hahaha.

Anyway, keep supporting KD, he needs fans like you.

PS: KD joined a stacked Warriors team with multiple Allstars and an all time record 73:9 wins. Lillard want to go to a team that had a 44:38 record, hahaha. 29 losses more than the Warriors. But they are the same apparently.

Looks like you're a big hater of KD. And you have the point but regardless with the teamates KD is way better than Dame let's say on a 1v1. Even in the current situation both not in their prime I still gonna pick KD over Dame. If you disagree with this ama say you're not really watching NBA.

KD is way better in all aspect against Dame. Ama all in KD against Dame.

It's undeniable that KD has won multiple championships, been a scoring champion, and earned the title of Finals MVP. I'm uncertain if Lillard will be able to achieve at least one of those feats. He may appear exceptional because he's the primary figure on his team, similar to Westbrook's situation when he was traded to another team, where he faced numerous challenges. KD, on the other hand, consistently elevated his teams. This is my personal opinion as well. As fans, we may have biases, but it's essential to consider the achievements.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhang Vs Joyce II WBO Interim World Heavyweight Championship on: September 19, 2023, 02:14:12 PM
This fight is just four days away, and I'm quite surprised that 85% of the poll voters here believe that Zhang will once again win via KO. Judging by the odds, it's a close fight, and given that both boxers are KO artists, it's unlikely to go the full 12 rounds. It would be a nice redemption story if Joyce can come through and potentially set up a trilogy, ensuring that his career doesn't falter after a promising start.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 19, 2023, 01:41:47 PM
I haven't check the odds though, maybe Joyce is still the favorite but it should be very close, unlike the first fight wherein I think Joyce is a huge favorite. So it's redeem time for Joyce or Zhang making it 2-0 and it's not going to be good for Joyce in this division.

It's a very close matchup. On the sportsbook I checked, here are the betting odds for the moneyline:

Zhang: 1.84
Joyce: 1.93

It appears to be almost a 50/50 situation, with the bookies factoring in their margin. While Zhang may have the momentum, these odds indicate the respect bookies have for Joyce, suggesting they still consider the first fight a significant upset win for Zhang.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 16, 2023, 09:03:11 PM

The other thing about the drive to survive is that it is both a logical and emotional response. Emotions, fear, as an example, helps us survive. This isn’t the way our consciousness and mind think but it is the way our brain thinks.

Our brain is in our control, what we are going to do comes from us - emotions/feelings, and wants to do. But if we talk about gambling, it is a different thing knowing that we are not controlling it so we couldn't say that if we wanted to win, we win. No, because gambling is also controlled by others which is beyond our control. This means that whatever their plan (owner) will also be the result and this is why players often lose their money rather than winning. And the more we become emotional, the more we lose.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 16, 2023, 08:33:48 PM

I always withdraw all my winnings and only deposit the right amount i want to use to gamble whenever i want to play a game. I’d like to know everyone’s opinion on which way is better and which one do you practice in managing your funds on gambling sites.
I'd just left some amounts for the next bet. That is also what I did and that is the right thing to do IMO.
Why? Because it creates temptation when we still see that there huge balance that is left in our walle and possibly be spent. And to make it safe and to stay within the limitation, it is best to keep only the capital while withdrawing all the winnings. I've been doing this for several years and it helped me out of addiction but of course, it needs to be taken seriously.
751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't wait for the bottom without buying in the Dip. on: September 16, 2023, 02:14:31 PM
While I agree that only one can never precisely guess where the bottom will be, one can guess when the dip or pump is coming to an end. And if one knows this, one also knows that anything that goes up must come down. And the reverse is also true. Buying at what you consider to be the bottom can be a good strategy, if you have the necessary experience and self-discipline. Although personally, I divide my money up and buy at each bottom. That way you gain some of the advantages of a good DCA strategy and divide up your risks.

It has worked for me quite well. Although I cannot say that it will work forever. At some point even I could take a miss-step and lose money.

Do what feels most comfortable to you. I am not here to advise on trading strategies or financials.
Your plan for buying seems to be working out great. Its like building a sculpture piece by piece without overwhelming any part. Your plan is a mix of what you know and what you think you should do. Bitcoin can blow any direction at any time, like the wind. Remember that past success doesnt guarantee future success. The crypto world rarely sees growth like your recognition of possible faults. I admire that you dont preach here. Sharing experiences without telling others what to do is a welcome change
Well, it is pretty clear that the final decision is in our hands whether we invest or not. It is not a question of when to buy but the question is if we are really prepared for the next thing that happens in crypto because until now, the direction of the market is unclear.
Of course, I use my strategy that worked already but can't assume that it will work for others because of some points - differed from making decisions and level of market understanding. I would agree that it was not necessary to urge people to invest but to give them a hint is enough, and it's up to them to decide.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 16, 2023, 01:55:39 PM
snipped...

The simple answer to this question would be either start predicting for all the matches even where predictions turned out to be a loss and then calculate the total or don't predict any bets when you don't anything to bet at all.
I would go with the latter. Why to waste time when you know that you won't get anything in return for your predictions.
If you were gambling for fun then the scenario would have been different.
Besides, there is no assurance in gambling for us to win. If we consider gambling as for fun, then there are no regrets happen if ever we lose but if we consider this as a source of income, that would be a different feeling and totally we can blame ourselves and ask why I put my money in a losing bet. No matter how good we are at gambling, losing is still there. It was really disappointing that our expectations had failed but have to accept that this is gambling, there are losses/wins.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 16, 2023, 12:33:32 PM
On another news, John Amores join the PBA Draft, do you think he will get drafted?

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/john-amores-focused-on-pba-bid-after-punching-incident-in-ncaa-a795-20230913

We will find out tomorrow whether he gets drafted or not, but if you ask me, everyone deserves a second chance. The guy has had anger management issues in the past but has been able to control himself. For more information, we can look at the players who have applied for the draft pick.

Check this article.

I'm not very familiar with the players who have applied for this draft. I think I only know one, and that's the most popular one: Ricci Rivero. He's well-known, partly because he used to date Andrea Brillantes, so he's quite famous, hehe. Hopefully, the team that drafts him will become popular, especially if they are in need of a talented point guard.

It's certainly not going to be Ginebra or SMB. Usually, when talented players get drafted, they end up with a low-ranking team like Terraferma or Backwater. However, as they consistently contribute and make a significant impact, they often get traded to the top teams owned by either MVP or the SMB group. This has been the trend, so we shouldn't be surprised by it. I'd like to speculate, but since the draft pick is tomorrow, I think I'll just wait for the announcement.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: September 16, 2023, 11:50:24 AM
I can't just expect that the market seems to prolong the time for accumulation. And to ask if it is the time to collect, indeed, we're still in good time.
Later? People must stop thinking about the bottom price because we never know when. So instead of waiting for the lowest price, why not take the chance this time?  However, we should also be careful in choosing altcoins because not all cheap coins are worth, some are shitcoins. And I would suggest to just take top altcoins and well-established projects.
755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are Technical Indicators useless? on: September 16, 2023, 11:04:03 AM
Trading indicators estimate where the price will move, but it does not guarantee accuracy because it is difficult to know the actual direction of market movements.
But with this indicator, especially if you draw a line based on movements in the previous day, week, month or year, you can find the pattern of the direction of the movement.
Usually, traders only master a few indicators in trading and master them more deeply to determine when to enter and exit the market.
I still can't determine the direction of market movement so I often experience mistakes in trading, but I think that's okay because I can still learn more.
But be careful when using indicators because we know that the current direction of market movements is not easy to predict.
We often commit mistakes because of the nature of the market. Even though we have in trading for many years, mistakes still happen but it is not that bad when compared to those traders who have less experience and knowledge about using indicators.

Yes, I certainly agree that we don't need to have a lot of Technical indicators but what we need is the indicator that we think is applicable to us. By mastering it and applying it to our trade, we can also expect different results.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 15, 2023, 11:23:11 AM
Definitely true. He wants to fight the best, but it seems he hasn't had the opportunities he desires. It has been a while since he became a champion, so he is very eager to regain that status. He's into a big challenge if he's given the opportunity because he needs to beat Inoue to become a champion again. Perhaps there's a right time for him, a reward for his patience. If he beats Inoue, given the fight will happen, he will become a very popular boxer.

Too bad because this guy can really fight everyone in his weight division and hasn't been really taken a hard loss in his career and that means, he really able to have some fair fight with the current best boxer in their weight division. I hope he will be given a strong opponent to fight after he finishes cleanly against Oguni because this won't be easy since he is fighting a Japanese fighter once again.

A strong opponent isn't enough; he wants to face the strongest, and there's no one else but the winner of Inoue vs. Tapales, which I believe Inoue is likely to win. Inoue should give Casimero a chance to fight him, as that would undoubtedly excite the crowd. Most of Inoue's fights aren't very entertaining, as they tend to be one-sided. So, dancing with Casimero in the ring could add an element of unpredictability.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 15, 2023, 10:36:26 AM
I am also positive that Inoue might stay for some time and maybe will accept some challengers once he holds all the belts, more on the moneymaking side.

Though still early to assume and we never know if things will go according to how most of the fans seen the possible
outcome of this upcoming possible fight between Inoue and Tapales.

It's not only about making money but also about enhancing his skills. If we were solely discussing money, he could move up in weight again and take a gamble by fighting the champion, which I'm sure would bring in a lot of money for him, especially if the fight were held in the USA. So let's see if his plan doesn't change once he acquires all the belts. Staying for long doesn't make sense when it's evident how he dominates the champions, and it looks like a big mismatch.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Give people time! on: September 15, 2023, 09:13:25 AM
I tried to talk to my dad about bitcoin, but he didn't really listen. instead, he called me dumb for sending money online to someone. he thought i was telling him to invest because i saw it on youTube.
so, he didn't listen to me and didn't invested in Bitcoin.

from this, I have learned that do not try to tell people to invest in things because if they lose money, they might blame you. so, it's better not to give investment advice.
You made the same mistake I made a few years ago when trying to give my friends a Bitcoin investment recommendation. Not the best idea, as it turns out. They then called me a fraudster and after that they practically didn’t talk to me. This is what such good intentions lead to. Indeed, let people decide for themselves what they need for life. There is no need to impose yourself on them, as this is fraught with dire consequences.
For me to this day, that incident became an excellent lesson from which I learned a lot of useful experience.
It was easy to tell people about Bitcoin and that it was what we usually heard from others but doing it in actuality and convincing someone to believe us is somewhat really difficult. However, I understand their response to us because this is also what I did before and I rejected the opportunity until such time I realized it. After I failed to convince my friends, I promised myself not to do it again but rather wait for them and ask about Bitcoin. In this way, I give them freedom to decide on their own, not by forcing them to invest and lose their money.
759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to sell? on: September 15, 2023, 08:51:39 AM
I have bought my BTC in mix prizes as I take the opportunity when there is a price fall. If ever the bull season will come (probably) I set my selling price to $60k, quite already a double price from the last time I bought BTC at $28k. Might it happen that I sell some earlier before it reaches that price or after depending on the market trend? Of course, the first plan can be changed depending on the market condition but I'm not sure if I still have to wait for the ATH knowing that it was hard to predict it.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are trading bots worth using in the cryptocurrency trading? on: September 14, 2023, 09:48:48 PM
Well, it is about to say that not all trading bots work effectively. Why? Trading bots are just reliant on the trader who uses them because even though it was proven that it work efficiently but the user is not really knowledgeable in trading, we can't also think that it runs similarly to the other users. Therefore, it was also necessary to improve our trading knowledge and skills before using this. I couldn't recommend using this for newbies or to anyone unless they are confident enough that they can do it right.
