1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning - 100,000 ETH Giveaway!!!! on: October 01, 2022, 08:49:08 AM
I don't know but are there really people that will be believed in this shit?

Even newbies can use their common sense to sense that this kind of promotion is not a legit one. I don't find being a newbie is a reason to fall into this trap.

Newbies are not that dumb. They can understand the difference between shit and not even though they are new to the crypto world. Maybe people are just greedy and honestly, even experienced ones are risking on that giveaway even though they know that's not legit.
Just to hope that we all have common sense because it was an obvious scam. In the case there is someone who will try to speak about losing their money in this scam giveaway, I certainly don't give any sympathy as they are too greedy and blind enough not to see it.

In fact, it was an old and known scam trick, and surely this has been spread on all social media platforms. It was us who gonna blame, not the one who use to trick us.

1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 01, 2022, 07:20:34 AM
Blake Griffin just signed a one year deal with the Celtics. Seems like the Celtics are the team for veterans to try and win a chip with now. I’m not so sure they’re the team to beat in the east. I think the 76ers, Bucks, & Nets all have better teams, but with Nash being strict on the old guys maybe the Celtics are the only place willing to take the old ring chasers. Hope Blake has a good season. Last year was a bit embarrassing.
Young and talented players plus a player who isn't in his post-prime years yet (he is only 33 years old) and with Gallinari getting injured, I guess the Celtics found a replacement in Griffin.

With Coach Udoka out this season, many have doubts with the Celtics already. Will they repeat their previous run? Will they repeat what they did last season, but now with a different head coach. Questions that will be answered during the Regular season.

Right now, I think the 76ers are the better team to win right now in the East. I believe that Harden, Embiid and Maxey will be a good trio and add Tucker who is a great role player and defender. I also have doubts with the Nets as well. Will the chemistry as a team there after the drama that Kyrie and KD did? Will Simmons play the whole season and is there any changes in his playstyle? Let's just see during the regular season but I'm predicting the 76ers to win the East. Too early Cheesy.

In the end it still depends on the health of the team, 76ers is a legitimate championship contender, but if Embiid will get injured in the playoffs, that will kill their hope of winning the championship. I know Harden is a superstar, however, he has not proven himself yet in 76ers uniform, I mean, his performance during the last playoffs was way below his average when he was still playing with the Houston Rockets.

Do you think it's the chemistry is the problem? or Harden had really depreciate already?
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 01, 2022, 06:59:49 AM
Northport is really making noise. Robert Bolick is on fire. If only their import is dominant, I can tell that Northport can beat Bay Area Dragons for their rematch.

But anyways, no rematch as the elimination is a single round-robin. I hope to see them meeting at the post-eliminations.

Just wait until Northport's import Prince Ibeh will be ripe and I see this team might be one of the competitors of SMC and MVP teams in the playoffs.
Correct me but when Ibeh played in the same teams years ago, he got injured thus, NorthPort get another import in exchange of him.
Last night against the Meralco, Ibeh got injured again just after his dunk in the 4th quarter and in the Overtime. If Bollick isn't playing like that last night, they surely lost the game because the Bolts are up double digits in the 2nd half, but him and his teammates came back, made a run and got the victory in Overtime.

I guess Ibeh lacked in conditioning coming into this game but let's see how he will play in their next games. He is very dominating inside TBH. Getting rebounds and he also got 5 or 6 blocks IIRC. The only downside to him that I see is he isn't an offensive minded import unlike most of the imports that are coming to the PBA where they are offensive first player.

Most of the bigs are not offensive, they mostly focus on their strength which is the rebounding and the defense and for Ibeh, I think he is doing a great job providing good defense to the team as we cannot deny this team is surrounded with great offensive local players.
1724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: September 30, 2022, 10:21:14 PM
That is why instead of blaming ourselves due to our losses and for our mistakes, we make a habit to consider this as a way to improve ourselves. Because in reality, no one is perfect and you're right, even experts suffer losses for not all the time we made the right decisions. This is how the market looks like, people will just be about to commit mistakes in order to know that our strategies are wrong and take action for not occurring again but too unfortunate that it can't be perfect no matter what we do.
It is important to draw conclusions and learn from your mistakes, because if this does not happen then there will be permanent losses. Mistakes are important for development, but if we are talking about trading, then these mistakes can be made while testing new strategies with small amounts, so as not to incur large losses.
But some people don't understand it. I'm not sure if they accept their losses or if that is something a close-minded person as whether we like it or not, people will commit mistakes. It is a way to review what we have done as it was not normal anymore to always suffer losses as surely there is something we did wrong and we need to find it. A mistake can be minimized if we also know how to correct it but if we still don't care and never change our strategy. Well, we also have nothing to expect then but just losses.
1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency is silent why? on: September 30, 2022, 09:45:19 PM
Knowing that not all the time the market is very active, traders and investors at this time feel the huge market inflation which badly affects their budget. Perhaps, it was also been happening in the previous bear season, and even on social media. We probably see this back again when major market inflation calms down and also when recoveries started. It was just about time for the market to relax and if you still have the money to risk, make it happen now while it was still cheap, don't wait for the market to become hot as surely prices will spike as the demand is increasing.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Three questions for old crypto fans on: September 30, 2022, 12:35:50 PM
do new altcoins always replace the present top 20 altcoins every crypto cycle?
It always happens but not in all coins. Some changes happen because the demand is changing as well but I see a lot of this on the top 21-100 coins.
We could be aware of this situation and a reason why it was risky holding altcoins for the long-term as it might happen that one day it losses its value unnoticed and brought us losses. But I believe they won't go far from their previous rank unless they turn scams as one of the most common reasons for losing their value in the market.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 30, 2022, 10:25:45 AM

Best guess is that both camps are already training because their forecasted date is approaching fast, they only have less than 2 months left to prepare and train. Maybe that's the same reason why they are so silent these days after we received an information that they've already reached a deal.

They will only train if the fight is already official, there's no reason for them to train hard with their team if there's no announcement yet, unless they know it's going to happen and promoters are just waiting for the right time to announce, what I'm saying is, if they start training for nothing, they will just be wasting money.

the odds are already out so for sure they are already training hard for this. as of now, crawford is the favourite of the bookies having odds of 1.64-1.66, whereas, spence having 2.13-2.18 odds. so who do you think will go home with those belts? i guess, we need a poll on this thread so we can see the forum gamblers' opinion on this fight. this will be a lucrative fight for both boxers so they should not fail us to show a good toe-to-toe fight inside the ring.

You can ask OP to make a poll on this particular fight, for sure it will be a very close race and I'm not certain who will win although we already have an idea on the betting odds of this fight. Well, both are champions, since Spence is also very confident, then maybe betting on himself will probably give him more money.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 30, 2022, 09:49:13 AM

But I'm wondering though, since the Shakur fight, what will happen if Ancajas can't make the weight again, will the fight go on and Martinez willing to sacrifice with some monetary incentives like Robson did (accepting $50,000, if I'm not mistaken)? Of course, this is different since Ancajas is no longer the champion, but it just makes me wonder this scenario.

You answered your own question, it's different because Ancajas is not a champion, and why would Martinez accept money? for what?

If Ancajas will not make the weight again, that means Martinez will remain as the champion, no sweat for him, but unfortunately they will not make money because no fight is gonna happen.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to investigate and research new projects ? on: September 29, 2022, 10:59:52 PM
Top coins are the right choice if you really want to invest for the long term,
but still we have to do our own research and never ignore it,
Ethereum and BNB are examples of the top coins that I think almost everyone knows and there's no doubt about that
indeed there is no doubt on the top altcoins like ETH and BNB, but even so these 2 coins still have the potential to go down even worse than they are today. Just need to enter at the right price and hold on for the long haul. I personally still hold both coins and I continue to add to my investment. however, for new projects, detailed research is needed so that it can be seen how the potential for the future is, but only use part of the money, not too much for new projects.
In this situation, we are supposed to be more practical in choosing coins to invest with and hold. Keeping new projects is totally risky and we are not even sure they will survive this bear market. But as we are buying the leading coins in the market, it is pretty to have the assurance that this will grow and recover after this bear season. And the good thing is that we no longer spend and waste time digging for legit projects (new) and not even sure if this will give us a passive income or end up scamming.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All I need to teach my employees about Bitcoin on: September 29, 2022, 10:37:12 PM
learn from personal experience when I, teach on my sister's bitcoin transactions.

that is, telling him to join this forum to find basic info from bitcoin itself, after understanding it teaches very sensitive things to send / receive btc to fellow users
that's very basic in my opinion, the rest of what you say
I will do in the future , and I'm grateful that now my sister understands more about finding coins that can potentially benefit in the short term than me
Honestly? I have been in cyrpto longer than most people have been and I am still having a bit of hard time when I am getting paid or paying someone. It’s always a bit of a difficult job because I know that one mistake and I would lose all of my money. It’s easier to be afraid and right than being calm but wrong.

So, I would say that keep that panic mode on at all times when you are dealing with crypto transactions, not during investments though because panic could make you lose money with bad investment decisions, only during transactions. That would make sure that you are doing the right thing at least and that’s why it matters so much.
It was not because you are have been in crypto for many years or just new to this, the thing is that it depends on you personally if you can manage to take bigger responsibility or not. Coz I believe that these new generations are techier and I think they can easily adapt to the situation and make their crypto job well. Besides, it was our personal approach to how this thing been doing, and if we are afraid that certainly will affect our mind and becoming more afraid to try it.

I'm no longer a fan of Magnolia after the big three breaks up. I used to be one back when  James, PJ and Ping were still solidly playing together, Tim Cone's 2nd grand slam.

They are already old and have retired already, we are witnessing another veteran Magnolia team, no more team cone but they are still an exciting team to watch due to their excellent defense and everyone is getting good minutes. I would not be surprised if they will win the conference as the commissioner's cup is unpredictable compared to the all-Filipino cup.
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: September 28, 2022, 10:28:33 PM
Once the word afraid is in our mind, it can be a disaster for our future particularly in making a decision. We can't move freely and make smart decisions.
Maybe, sometimes we feel like this but not all the time we should have to carry this thing otherwise, nothing will happen to us. This is just like taking risks in crypto investment, trading, etc...
It is definitely a need for us to conquer this feeling before it will be going to late. If we have to overcome fear, it is a need also for us to trust ourselves and keeping in mind that nothing will happen to us if we don't act.
Well we all have fears especially in taking risks. But when it comes to crypto investments, it should always be controlled because if we keep that fear, we will lost our focus and the determination to succeed. Maybe the reason why others enter the market and then quit later on because they cannot control their selves. Otherwise, do not bother entering crypto investments as its full of risks that gives you fear.
When talking about investment, we have to focus on winning and earning and find a way to get it. But if we are already thinking "what if's", that something will affect our decisions and it will influence our mind as well for this won't easily be vanished from our mind. It was best to always be positive despite the challenges and difficulties we encountered and I say that this will never happen if we have a goal as this will lead us in the direction that we want to go. Likely, if we want to hold 5 years, then consider preparing ourselves to hold that long.
1734  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: September 28, 2022, 10:04:31 PM

CONCLUSION
Establishing a strong and firm business doesn't come easy. It involves patient, time, passion and hardworking. Young entrepreneurs should try to learn from failed businesses and guide themselves with successful businesses.
It is all connected to each other, once one of them will fail, the business will fail also. That is why we should know which part is weak in order to take immediate action to resolve it otherwise. Those companies that you have mentioned are just a few of having suffered huge losses due to mismanagement and lack of team participation. It was indeed important that each member of the team will understand each other, teamwork, and their is one goal and that is to success, not only for themselves but for the whole company.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 28, 2022, 12:26:34 PM

Let's see if this new coach can guide the team more than Ime so that their efforts won't be in vain.

The new coach needs to work more since they are the runner-up and the expectation for this team is high.

He needs to make sure that the team is still intact and the chemistries that they've established while coach Udoka still
around should be remain or better to be enhanced now that it's the assistant coach term to mentor the entire team
they need to work together and continue the chase on the winning the NBA crown.

Boston Celtics has a new coach? I read it on the news that the assistant coach would be the temporary head coach? Is there a change of heart in Boston's management now? If the assistant coach becomes the temporary head coach and he remains a very good friend of Ime, things aren't as hard as we think it is. Ime and him can talk all the time on the things to do, the players to focus and so on. But maybe all of Boston from the owners to the staff, janitors and the fans hated Ime already.

He will be the interim coach maybe because it's too late to hire a new one since the upcoming season is almost here. Regardless if they are friend or not, he had to do a better job as their new coach. He also had some bad reputation himself but I guess the Celtics have given him the benefit so they get him as a assistant and now the interim and probably a permanent one if he do a great job this year. And I doubt that Ime can go back to his previous job with the Celtics or if any NBA team will get hire him.

This is the time where the new head coach will be tested, I'm pretty sure that if he will not do the job well, the management will find a coach to replace him. Celtics have a great roster, they will not waste the opportunity to be a championship contender again, so I'm sure this team is still a team to beat.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 28, 2022, 11:39:43 AM

I think this fight is a already a go even if there is no contract sign yet. Too big not to happen, Inoue wanted to get all the belts, while Butler wanted to derail all his plans. The fight is still in December though, lot of time to prepare for this huge fight in Japan.

There's no reason this fight will be cancelled, with the ample time, both fighters will be able to prepare to give the fans an entertaining fight. However, we cannot prevent the majority from thinking Inoue will just dominate here, I hope Butler has something that would surprise the fans, if this will become a big upset, we will surely see a rematch.
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your diversification strategy? on: September 27, 2022, 10:22:11 PM
I will say any users who diversify their investment to altcoins are stupid because altcoins price are following Bitcoin price, so if you're diversify to altcoins you're not diversify anything. If anyone want to diversify their investment, make sure you're diversify to other sectors, not in cryptocurrencies again, you can choose stock, gold, silver, real estate and many more.

But to be honest I invest too much on Bitcoin and I don't regret about it, I think Bitcoin have a bright future and I'm ready to accept the risk.
Yet, it was not also a good idea to put everything or all your money into a single investment like Bitcoin. We know the risk in crypto and like spreading it in the local stock market, investing some in real estate is way better and more advisable. However, it really matters to us how we manage our portfolio as well, some diversification is obviously needed if we are not happy with our investment.

60% share for Bitcoin while 40% is for altcoins or the stock market.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 27, 2022, 11:27:39 AM
I didn't expect the distance of the odds. I thought neither Spence nor Crawford will be the Favorites, the odds for them is just close.

Crawford at 1.6 over Spence at 2.1 just shows that bookies looked at the former as Heavy Favorites and not just the usual Favorites.

It's not even a trap to consider but either way, I will still pick Spence to win this match.
I think when the date get closer until the fight will happen, Spence odds will be higher since many people will bet Crawford. Crawford currently become top 3 pound for pound while Spence is on top 4, though it's close, but a difference is still different.

I'll watch the odds, if the odds is really small of Crawford, I wouldn't bet him since it doesn't worth for the risk. I believe there's will be a rematch sooner or later regardless who's win here.

Odds are based on fans' expectations, and it only says that despite Spence having more belts, it still did not make him better in the eyes of the fans, so I'm not surprised with the odds and I'm willing to take Crawford as the winner even with 1.60.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2022, 10:55:28 AM
I have read news that the Celtics players were caught off guard about Ime Udoka's case. Majority of them found the news in twitter like Jayson Tatum and so they are confused.

And then they are talking about how excited they are to come back this new season to do it all over again and duplicate what they have accomplished - go to the finals. But it seems that the players are affected by it and they are taking about the 'process', as they will be coach by Joe Mazzulla.

Well, they have no choice but to accept the reality, no more Udoka this season and probably the succeeding seasons as well, but they have a job to do, it's an unfinish job, they reach the NBA finals, it's time for them to win this time.
1740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips that could help crypto beginners. on: September 24, 2022, 11:14:56 AM
Unfortunately, there are a lot of articles like the one the OP referred to on the Internet. And from here we see so many disillusioned people who invested their money in the hope of becoming millionaires.
I like this remark.
About the disillusioned. Although the OP is trying to help crypto beginners but I also have the impression that he will also add to their problem because the whole statement was about being a crypto millionaire, not something that will make them appreciate the technology and the reason for cryptocurrency existence.
If the class was all about making money the student may end up making none because only the crypto enthusiast that appreciates the benefit of crypto are those who will see as the crypto millionaire of today.

I think OP is also thinking that having in crypto, and investing in Bitcoin makes him a millionaire. Not a thing I would say no as it was possible not we put this as motivation or whatever. Putting an example in class, it was for sure not all of them have the same mindset and ambition in life so, therefore, we can't also think that these newbies will also follow what OP has said. In fact, I'd never think this before when I was new in this market, all I just want is to earn some profit and make this as other sources of income - I was not too greedy that I think becoming a millionaire.
