761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Cardano on: June 25, 2023, 01:56:55 PM

No more update to this token. Seem like there is no development for this project. So much disappointment while Charles is just scamming people telling that ADA is used in many project in Ethiopia and the neighboring countries. Its not.

The community promotes the token religiously though. Yep the crowds shouts hora every time Charles do the AMA while he brags the projects using ADA. But there were no real projects where real people are using. They may have the list of projects but its still ETH that is used widely.

Cardano still is one of the highly active project on Github. The developers are still invested on improving it. Cardano's niche has a lot of competition and with the bearish trend, the market of smart contracts and dApps has decreased. With such small scope and a lot of choices to make with, developers tend to focus on those platform which they are already used to developing their apps. Though Cardano supports multiple language like Plutus and Marlowe, Solidity is still a leader as it is supported in multiple chains. Cardano could be a big thing but for that we need to have a huge growth on dApps market and cardano be able to change with time's demand.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin become The General Currency in the Future? on: June 24, 2023, 01:38:18 PM
According to evolution of money, trade was first done with the barter system, then it evolved to commodity money using Gold and it's kind, then into metal coins then paper money, later transactions where done with plastic cards, before it's evolved into electronic money and now crypto currency.
With Bitcoin being the leading crypto currency is there a tendency that it would become the general currency worldwide?

We all know that Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency, but bitcoin wasn’t created to become the general cryptocurrency world wide, that’s not the purpose why bitcoin was created. Bitcoin was created to serve as an alternative currency. Government won’t want bitcoin to become the general currency world wide, what do you want them to do with fiat currency which they are in control of? they can easily manipulate fiat, they can easily print more money and send to circulation, and they can easily print more fiat currency and divert it to their own personal account. But when it comes to bitcoin it’s having a fixed total supply and the government can’t control it, so am sure the government will do everything possible to stop bitcoin from beginning a general currency and that was not even Satoshi’s plan.

Furthermore, bitcoin's nature makes it a difficult tender to be used as general currency. It has a limited supply and though we have minute denomination like satoshi, still the transaction fees are higher in tens of thousands of satoshi and with the frequent congestion in network, it's difficult to use them on quick exchanges. Though some secure enough altcoin with zero or very low fee can be used for the purpose. I've seen a lot of people deal with Bitcoincash in Bangkok just because it has cheap fees and are quick on transactions.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a trap? on: June 23, 2023, 02:15:35 PM
Is of no doubt the market has already turned green and ETH surpasses 1.9k, though I was having this feeling to enter the market now that we have full confidence that we are no longer going dip. But I am a bit confused if this could be a bear trap, what do you think of the market is there any good analyst to give accurate results on what would happen next or to know if this is a bear trap.

That's why we should not plan for a single entry point. We could use any popular method to determine the entry points mostly at the dip of every cycle. And it surely was a better time to enter when the price was around 20K.
For current scenario, the price is trying to stick above 30K but as there are no sudden momentum, And I have a feeling it would eventually come down at least around 28K before trying to make a new peak. It would still be a better idea to keep on buying smaller amounts as even though the price decreases, you don't need to invest much to average your cost but if the price keep on increasing, it would be risky to buy at higher price.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or not? BTC investors need to rethink their strategy as on: June 22, 2023, 01:33:21 PM
When FUD hit the market, most long-term investors started taking coins off exchanges to support self-custody.
We saw this happened during coinbase and binance SEC drama. People are withdrawing their funds from Binance but we already knew a ploy on the SEC case. Now that instituions lining up for bitcoin etf, who knows how btc will react but this is bullish news for everyone. Though we need to always be careful on the act since this market is so volatile.

Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21million and the large part of 92%+ generated could be liquid and we should consider We were around the bottom for a while now and bitcoin's price has just crossed the 30K mark again. The main strategy for this time is to accumulate during the dips and keep your coins safe. I personally treat cryptos as stocks, there mostly are no dividends but the probability of yield on investment are higher. Anyone buying bitcoin around 20K already have a 50% profit today.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMAZON CREATING AMZ TOKEN - This is BIG for all CRYPTO - Massive changes coming! on: June 20, 2023, 02:41:36 PM
I think this is a good read https://cointelegraphfeed.com/?06-19-amazon-creating-token-june-23
Whether you like that project or not but it should boost all the coins, I can already see some market shifting. We had a lot of rumors but now they finally pull it, what ya think?

This is a scam. And OP is most likely involved in it.
I couldn't find any other reference for the said token and the site linked by OP "cointelegraphfeed" seems to copy cointelegraph theme but is not the real cointelegraph site.
A search on original cointelegraph site doesn't yield the linked article and the formation of the article is poorer than what a real article would look like.
The article about the said AMZT66 token is on the homepage of the site cointelegraphfeed and the site doesn't consist of any other pages while every other links there goes to real cointelegraph website.

767  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could world war 3 be inevitable? on: May 31, 2023, 02:35:43 PM
If we think of the human nature, I think it's inevitable. We've been away of combined confrontation among nations for quite a time now.
A war involving two different groups of a number of countries spanning over different continents could be called a world war.
Current events of nations forming an association to isolate others, there would come another counter-association that tackles them.
When a large number of country finds war to be a more beneficial way of sorting out their status, and their own population tend to favor it regardless of the pain, there would be a world war.
768  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Supercycle? on: May 02, 2023, 02:01:29 AM
I believe there's no doubt about bitcoin reaching 100K but it's a matter of when.
It could take a couple of years or a couple of decades. And that time difference makes our economic decisions harder.
Bitcoin price is now at 28K, if it reaches 100K, it would about quadruple, i.e. x4. Depending on the individual nations, we consider 10 years to be the time for a sum of money to quadruple on safe investment for most. So, it doesn't makes sense to invest in bitcoin which is still considered to one of the unsafe investment also due to risk for its storage if it is going to hit 100K after 10 years.
But again it doesn't mean it would take that much time or bitcoin would be limited to 100K. My advice would be to diversify a small portion of your saving into crypto, mostly bitcoin to watch how it develops.
769  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Now there is a global crisis, do you think this is a game of political chess? on: April 24, 2023, 12:52:58 PM
I think we've reached a point from where there's no going back. Everyone is fed with their part of propaganda and the government with their media are building permanent sense of hate on general people.
"Bringing others to sense" mindset would never bring peace in the world. If the world leaders are wise enough, they should start talking to each other rather than fueling wars.

In my personal experience, corrupt people spend their money recklessly and them and their family would have low value for it. It would make their lifestyle unhealthy. No one stays in power and position for ever and when they come out of one, they would have a messed up family and relations.

774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 30, 2023, 03:36:43 PM
It was a great tournament for Djokovic. No one has been able to thwart him, but players like Nadal and Alcaraz have not really participated. Not Alcaraz at all and Nadal also had to give up in a match in one of the first rounds. Furthermore, no one has come close to Djokovic, but he was also very keen to win this tournament after he was not allowed to participate last year. He has not made himself popular with many fans because of his attitude to the corona virus that he absolutely did not want to get a vaccination. But you can't continue to judge someone on that basis, of course. If we look purely at his technical qualities, he deserved to win. Tsitsipas had 1 set point in the final in the 2nd set, but was unable to use it.
Yes, it was a great tournament and he was very interesting to see. I've never seen Djokovic cry for minutes on the floor next to the team after the final and afterwards. The ice man went and the exploding man came. He said it was the biggest victory I've ever won, as if he hadn't won 21 grand slams. He is 35 years old, but still mentally, he is approaching the end of his 25th career and I thought he would pass the flag to the next generation of Russians, but this covid issue has made the man very aware and passionate. He will probably last another 5 years comfortably. 30 grand slams are on the horizon. Without a doubt, nothing will ever be the same when a messi and novak leave in sports in general.
There has never been a more sweet victory than this. As a result of the victory, he has become very emotional. Humans are capable of such reactions after all. The reason I supported Djokovic is due to the fact that he had to win this tournament. It was well deserved for him, and I am delighted that he won. It's great to see him playing well here too. He's really strong. The fact that they are still able to win Grand Slams at their ages while tying for 22 Grand Slams between them says a lot about their tenacity. We'll have to wait and see what happens at the French Open at the end of May, then at Wimbledon and US Open later on. Continue to keep up the good work.

We have witnessed one of the greatest trio players of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. People even claimed it would be difficult to break the record of Federer and Nadal did it and soon Djokovic seems to be making a history for himself. With these three players dominating most of 21st century, Federer has taken a retirement while Nadal seems to be going out of his prime but with djokovic still going strong, Djokovic could remain the ultimate GOAT at least for some decades.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: January 30, 2023, 01:52:52 PM
Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and most altcoins are way less qualified in terms of credibility, fanbase, high returns with minimal risks etc. I am trying my best to analyze altcoin projects but the results are not pleasant. What makes an altcoin really trustworthy ? And why ? Please let me know your opinions.

Altcoins and their future are still a wild guess. STOs or regulated and audited projects were thought to be less risky but these low risk low profit projects too failed miserably. Something as stupid as Shiba Inu that airdropped more than 50% of it's the than supply to vitalik buterin (single person unrelated to the project) got unprecedented success, survived through multiple pumps and dumps and still going strong as a popular altcoin makes me believe there are almost zero logic on altcoins future prediction. The only thing that depends on the long run is how active the project manager or volunteers are on the development and progress.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 30, 2023, 12:28:34 PM
Hi gamblers, it's a simple question I want to ask...

Remember it is said that, in gambling, the house always wins, I Want us to look at this two scenarios and tell if this are not actually a way to win/beat the house..

Imagine yourself as a new gambler who just joined a casino, played a few dollars and with luck on your side, you win money running into thousands of dollars, will withdrawing your money plus winnings from that casino, never to return there to play again, mean you have beaten that casino?

Secondly, imagine that on your first day of gambling, you gambled $200 and in the process, won money running into hundreds of thousands of dollars, you withdraw the money and start up your own business, and never returned to gambling again, isn't this one way to beat the house?

There's a bit more chance of you losing all than wining a large amount. And no sane person would place all they got on the first bet of their life. If they won, that would be once in a life event if they left gambling completely but once people win, they'll be addicted to the thrill of wining.
It's hypothetically a possible scenario but you won't be beating the house as the house would have edge on overall bets and not depend on just one user. And in order to prevent such rare but possible circumstances, casinos have a high limit on bet and or win.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 29, 2023, 11:35:52 PM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?

Go with some new generation coins rather than NFT. NFT were popular around last year this time and a lot of people made fortune with it but now they are not the talk of the town and there are not much use or profit making on any of those popular NFT. NFT based games have been a failure and NFT arts are not real art are now fake and plagiarized. The only place I see them is on established games but that won't carry a good monetary prospective.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto banks replace traditional banks soon on: January 29, 2023, 02:58:10 PM
"in just a few years, a younger generation of financial services users are going to into a bank and gain access to create ☑️ credit products, savings accounts and investments that can host both crypto and fiat assets. In fact, the inroads that will allow for all of this to happen are already breaking ground.
...
Consumers will soon define a “full service” bank as one that offers financial services in both crypto and fiat. The time to start acquiring the necessary tools of the crypto banking trade is right now. The world need it.👌Banks need to start adapting or get left behind. So what do we all think about this

Article: https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-banks-are-going-to-swallow-fiat-banks-in-3-years-or-even-less

They have already to some extent.
Crypto banks are providing both crypto related, fiat pegged coins and fiat related banking services. They have interest bearing wallets, physical cards and the fees are getting competitive too. When you have cheaper fees and better interest and could deposit and withdraw on both crypto and fiat anywhere anytime, you'd use it.
Crypto adoption is something that's not spreading as quick as we thought but that could be due to the old coins which are highly volatile. Newer, quicker and cheaper coins would be the pioneer to a cashless and non-custodial finance of the future.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2023, 01:13:09 PM
Indian U19 women bowlers are doing an excellent job at the moment. England has already lost 6 wickets and have just score 53 runs. I am not expecting a big total in this final match but if Indian bowlers are bowling good that doesn't mean that the English bowlers cannot bowl in the same way. Indian batters & especially the captain needs to be calm and focus on the game.

England got bowled out for just 68. Not sure if it's the lowest final score ever but many records are made and broken today. English team had never lost in this series and they performed so low on the finals. Should be an easy win for India and I bet they'll start and finish it quick.

Taking the 3 criteria for the award, individual and collective performance from the previous season, a player's class and their career, Messi looks like a likely contender. Another probable is Mbappe, both from the same club and both the worldcup finalist. But when I'm talking about how I feel, even though he couldn't participate in the world cup, Erling Halland is a worthy for the award than anyone else. Messi already have it some many times that it would not feel like an huge achievement for him.
