761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 23, 2020, 11:53:15 AM
I just hope for him to be well already. He's a great piece on his team, obviously. And one more thing (that is for certain here...), they got a chance to win the series against Clippers.

So great, he is the leading scorer of the team and for me, he's one of the best players in his generation. I also believe that they can win the series against Clippers as long as Monterzl Harell stop flopping  Grin
Jokes aside, I hope he could play again game 4.
762  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 23, 2020, 11:07:01 AM
I don't believe in a vaccine at all. Virus is mutating all the time. During the Spanish Flu they introduced many vaccines that turned out ineffective.

It is not that it is ineffective, the virus is mutating means the virus is finding a way or developing themselves to be immune to the created vaccine. There is a lot to be considered and creating a vaccine is not that easy. There are a lot of phases that it needs to undergo, testing it is really hard especially at those times. Hope we don't reach that record Spanish Flu's holding.
763  Economy / Economics / Re: Some are hungry, some are losing their homes - some are doubling their wealth on: August 23, 2020, 09:29:19 AM
I think the sad part here is that even though they donate billions and billions of dollars to the poor, the world will not get better. We can't do anything about this since this is already happening. As time goes, the poor people will be there at the bottom pushing themselves to go up but what they didn't know is that by doing that, they are also pushing those individuals at the top. Well folks, this is the world at its best, we should face it.

Hope they could just start more jobs so those unemployed individuals atleast make a movement in their low position. It might make the gap wider but atleast that could also create an effect under them.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto currencies are getting dangerous on: August 22, 2020, 11:48:49 PM
If you trade on a centralized exchange, then you must confirm your KYC data. KYC data is needed by the centralized exchange to find out and verify user data. And we know that KYC can be misused by irresponsible individuals. That's what KYC lacks.

And that is why people are actually scared of putting their personal information on the internet or in the hand of these centralized exchanges. There are a lot of options out there that don't require KYCs, why do it in a centralized exchange when you can do it in a decentralized exchange? It is not the lacking of KYC, it is the downside of using one.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 22, 2020, 10:29:37 PM
I don't even know how will they prove these casinos to be the reason these people got the virus. It might be their fault why they are even have the virus. I guess this really falls into the psychology as @Janation said, if they got the virus they tend to blame someone or anyone. As far as I know these casinos are following the protocols, it is the people that are not actually following it.
I agree but if one of the staff gets infected then they have no choice but to fully disinfect the whole playing room and quarantine some of the staff and those who are involved in the operation, and the players also need a quarantine, but that does not mean the staff got it in the playing room, he is commuting going to groceries and meeting some friends we never know because the virus is invisible.

Yeah, at the end of that answers we are still looping at that statement that these customers can be contaminated at other places too, doesn't mean they are working there, means that they are contaminated at that area. They might get that virus going home while commuting or maybe from a grocery or store they bought something.

There are a lot of things to consider that is why this is really hard to investigate.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: August 22, 2020, 03:29:14 PM
This is just amazing. The best way to describe gambling here is that line about Mansour Bahrami. I love trivias and interesting facts. I found this fact in the past and kept it in my sticky notes, I don't know, after watching The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, it just made me smile.

A frequent "bit" in Westerns is for someone on the losing end of a poker game to lose their temper and accuse the pro of cheating—this can start a Gambling Brawl.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 22, 2020, 02:55:47 PM
Knowledge is really helpful, that is the reason a lot of people are into sports betting and mostly winning their bets. Still, there are those games that would really surprise us, upsets, underdog winning, there are games like those. We are gambling, the possibility of winning might be in the team that we are betting but that doesn't mean that the other team has no chance at all, that they have zero percent of winning. It is a game, just like a wheel, doesn't mean it has a good percentage, a good odd, it will be at the top, no, it will roll and no one knows what will happen next. The results usually go as they thought of it, but there are those games that show the result you least expected. Always remember that we are gambling.
768  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: August 22, 2020, 11:33:20 AM
everyone will not die, even a greater pandemic in the previous year has occurred and an estimate of infecting 1/3 of the total population of the world and causing the death of 50 million people.while corona has only 24 million cases so far, and a temporary victim of 800 people, we don't know what will happen next but for sure they will think of a way to get out of here.

24 million, you think that is small? If you didn't know, The Flu pandemic that killed 50 million has three waves while Covid-19 is only in its 1st wave going to the 2nd wave and we are now seeing 20+ millions of death. Just imagine if 2 more waves will happen, so please don't underestimate this virus. We need to trust the ones that knows how to stop the contamination, as an individual, the best we can do is to follow them. If we all can do that, we are not just the biggest winners, the country will too.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Pay Could ‘Destroy the Financial System’ on: August 22, 2020, 10:15:19 AM
It can be a good point that many countries already legalized the BTC officially and there are some big economy based country also. There economy is running successfully and BTC doesn't hamper their existing economy. So, many countries whom has confused about their economy can follow those countries.

I don't know why Russia are stopping the usage of crypto currencies mainly bitcoin in their country. They might think that these can bypass their taxations and might evade as they can but they didn't know most of those people will just hold those and pay just in small amount. Atleast let some local exchanges to run for them to convert their btcs.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 21, 2020, 11:58:47 PM
Even before the Pandemic strikes the world, Bitcoins importance to people who knew its value and trust its usage is incomparable. The good thing is,  it is more useful now not just for online payments and securing funds but most of all, a great platform to work, earn and invest. As you had been said, thousands of people losts their jobs, and yes, bitcoin industry can really help us sustain our needs in ways that we couldn't imagine. We just need to be patient as we work along and trust this blockchain industry.

How can bitcoin help people who lost their jobs during the global pandemic? To earn on cryptocurrency, you need to stay in this area for at least a year to understand how it works and how you can earn it. Rather, people will thoughtlessly start buying and selling bitcoin and lose their last savings.

That is just simple, so simple and you don't need to stay here for a year to understand it. You put your money in your wallet, maybe a local exchange just like ours, coins.ph and then when the price pumps, you take it out, when the price drops, you reinvest. Everyone can do it that even my cousin which is doing that for almost a month now is earning enough to sustain their family. I don't understand how hard is this?
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Restaurant convert entire savings to Bitcoin on: August 21, 2020, 11:01:53 PM
Any updates of this though? Any addresses they already showed where maybe people could use to order online or maybe check if this is true in terms of them saying "all of..". Either a way to get the attention of the community or to risk it all in bitcoin. I don't think they are that stupid to put all of it in there.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sports do you think that can resume amid Covid-19 scare. on: August 21, 2020, 10:25:26 PM
Well the US government allowed the resuming of sports events such as NBA and Boxing, even physical casino's started reopening in Las Vegas.
With the 4 Million plus infected in the US, it doesn't seem to affect them. In fact President Donald Trump encourage businesses to open.

I guess you could take NBA away from that and I don't know about Boxing. Casinos operated like they used to except following the certain protocols NBA resumed but not the same as these casinos and bars, they have their own place isolated to play the games and the players also stay there. PBA also said that they will be doing the same.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 21, 2020, 02:40:53 PM
It's been discussed in the past and I don't think KYC could stop these. As they said, there are lot of online casinos they can go to without KYC. Another thing is that they could just use another individual's personal information and use that account to gamble. It is not a problem that the casino should focus on, this should be handed to parents.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 21, 2020, 01:31:42 PM
This is a great game for Lakers.

AD and KCP are on fire, especially AD. A facebook even made a photo of it calling it "Brow time", maybe a tease to Dame's Dame time. I don't know but that hype would really fell with this result still, I think Blazers can do better. We also see Damian injuring his finger with his steal on AD, will that affect the future games of the team?
If it's just a minor injury, there's no need to worry.

Quote

DAMIAN LILLARD
PG, PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

Damian Lillard suffered a dislocated left index finger on his left (non-shooting) hand in Thursday's probable loss to the Lakers, but X-rays were negative.
Lillard threw a towel in anger on his way to the locker room, leading some to believe that he might have broken the finger, so the fact X-rays were negative is great news in the grand scheme of things.

He won't return, but is back on the bench and our guess is he'll be out there for Game 3 on Saturday. And it will probably take more than a sore finger on his non-shooting hand to slow him down in that one.

Damian Lillard is good and said that he might not be back at game 3 which gives it away that it would be a clear 2-1 lead by the LA Lakers, if Dame is not there. He's been the score leader of the team and I think it would be a hard game without him.

The series is tied and I think this is going to be a long series for these two teams. I haven't followed any other game, what's good series to follow? I mean all of them are but what's hyping you guys?

Since the ejection of Porzingis, I've been following the game of Mavericks and Clippers.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 21, 2020, 12:35:12 PM
It's clearly stated that the government is trying to regulate even more the gambling casinos because some folks lost their jobs and must get a salary to spend, it's a weird situation and a weird move from the part of the gov but it is logical enough to be implemented. The gamblers should only bet what they only afford to lose and this is why the new rules are going to be implemented, to prevent peoples from risking their salaries, risking bigger amounts and losing all of their funds which is catastrophic.
I believe that Government interference is very important in our time now because they are the one who's to blame if these people have no food to eat in their tables.
...

Well, it is not their fault if these gamblers get addicted to gambling, all they can really do now is to control those people especially if this is really growing as a huge problem that could affect the country. I also think that this is not an interference, I think of it as their way to remind these gamblers that they need to regulate their gambling activities, that they need to control themselves.
no one says that it is governments fault mate because being addicted is either the person itself fault or people around him ,what i am saying is this is a good move from the government to interfere in something that they know can help gamblers.
..

Well, im talking about when you says that they will be blamed if these people have no food to eat though I agree with you about the interferance, it is just that I look at it in different term of the word and yeah, a very good move for them. To be honest, as you said, it is either the people themselves or the people aorund them is the reason for that.
776  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 21, 2020, 11:10:32 AM
See? A simple act of courage means a lot. I hope you now get what I mean.

"Oh yeah, that's fine. I know for sure it is just a mistake" is like what the spokesperson said. I don't get how they are so cool with it as China smearing all these taunts and insults to our faces. Our President says a lot of courageous and amazing things about defending West PH sea, stillright now nothing happened and they are just letting them smear all of that insults into our faces.

Just seen this video about Pres. Duterte "joking" about making our country as a province of China
777  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 20, 2020, 11:37:27 PM
The government knows what is happening right now and some of the great leaders of each city are now closing these stores that are selling these products. One of the most popular mayos nowadays gave his comments about this and he is really mad. This is really insulting as a Filipino citizen, they take our lands, and then they wanted to take our country as a province?! I bet our president will not do anything about it saying that it is just a mistake.
778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possibleTrump Will Prohibit Bitcoin? on: August 20, 2020, 10:57:02 PM
If other Presidents from different countries have taken attention to Bitcoin and the whole Cryptocurrency Industry, President Trump is also capable of doing that. It just depends on whether how he will take the information regarding Bitcoin. If he sees it as an opportunity on where the government can benefit, he might place some rules and regulations regarding on how to use it BUT if he sees it as a threat, then he can possibly ban it.

I think that will depend on the countries that we are talking about. There are countries that he have some alliance with and there are those that he don't like and if we will be talking about those countries that he doesn't like, I think there is a high possibility that he will be banning it. He might also find a way to counter it, maybe a way to fight it.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 20, 2020, 02:30:56 PM
Do they already accept crypto currencies transactions? If they've done that that would be really fast just like a forest fire. Germany is also named one of the most innovative country in this world, I don't doubt them to start the use of bitcoin and other crypto currencies in their casinos.
