781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level on: August 20, 2020, 12:09:28 PM
Offline casino with a VR, yeah I know but with less people right now in the casinos, I guess with a VR in there, it might interest them an online match with other people. It is like an online betting with other people in other casinos. It is weird but I think it would be more popular if it is exposed to the public, makes them want to try it out.

I think there will be a lot of people who'll want to try it out but I don't think they will be paying the casino for that. They go to casinos in order to have fun or well, earn some money. They can go to a casino to gamble, offline and if they wanted to play online they could just do it in their houses and not go to casinos especially these days that we have a pandemic.
782  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 20, 2020, 11:02:55 AM
Russia is still claiming that they are in production but I think the lack of medical research and direct human experiments which proved that it works created a bit of trouble in the world. Did they find a vaccination for covid? They sure did and most places say it actually works as well, however how did they find it?

When you have a vaccination that you are not sure if it will work or not and give it to humans as an experiment that is a very very dangerous thing to do, which is probably the issue they are going through right now. When that is all cleared up and forgiven people will just say no matter how it was discovered, the thing that matters is it is discovered. When it becomes mainstream and hundreds of thousands of people gets it every day, we are going to see economy grow incredibly high.

A lot of doctors still are not satisfied with the vaccine, some of them are still saying that they won't administer the vaccine in their hospitals, some says that it would be a risk. With this vaccine, safe or not, we are close on getting that economic rebuild though there are still those doubts and assumptions so I guess we will still wait until they successfully get through Phase III.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash Is Trash on: August 19, 2020, 01:56:41 PM
Cash is basically not a trash because people nowadays are still into earning hard earned cash for their own survival. We are still working 8 hours in a day in order to receive our salary in the form of cash. While we are heading into a cashless society but i believe most of the countries are not yet ready for a big change in the system.
Well, we can't do anything but to use it, the adoption of crypto currencies is still not that huge the reason why we still use cash. But given the situation that they can actually use bitcoin or other cryptos to live, I think they would've proved themselves but right now we have no choice, either they use the trash or they don't use it, at the end of the day all of their cryptos will end up in cash.
Yes, more likely we don't have any other choice. Since cash is the primary mode of payment, that's why cash can't be considered as trash. Right now, cryptocurrency is not yet adopted/accepted in most countries, but the moment that it will be accepted everywhere, I think cash will be out of use anymore.

I think even if bitcoin and other crypto currencies are accepted everywhere in the world, I don't think that cash won't be use by people. There are still those that won't use crypto currencies, they hated it. That is why bitcoin and maybe some cryptos will just be used as an alternative way to pay, stores would accept them and it might be a way for people to get their salaries. We don't know what the future holds.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 19, 2020, 12:14:03 PM
Speculation is coming out, I read some comments online that the refs favored the Clippers as they want the Lakers vs Clippers match up in the WCF.

I'm afraid by tomorrow we will see a lot of bad calls against the Blazers. Sad

I hope this ejection doesn't determine the run of this playoffs, it determines the game but I hope as a whole it doesn't. Fans really wanted to face Clippers and Lakers in the Western CF, I mean, who wouldn't? right? Let's just put it as a speculation and let's see how will Damian "Dolla" Lilliard and his teammates face one of the best teams in the playoffs tomorrow. Gonna put my money against Lakers, I just feel it.

Good luck on that feeling of yours, it looks like fans have found a love on the Blazers, they are in a good run so I believe it will continue if Lillard will not struggle. How about the Blazers vs Mavericks in the WCF? I think that is very surprising and it's gonna be Luka vs Damian and Nuckic vs Jokic, isn't it fun?

That feeling of mine is really correct. Dame and the team put a show proving that he is not the only player that could get that hoops. I don't know what will be the plan of the Lakers the next game. To be clear, I am not a fan of Trail Blazers, it is just that I felt betting on them in this game. I am still a Bucks fan and, well, I lost on that bet.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: August 19, 2020, 10:45:53 AM
Well, it gave me hope. I've been struggling to find a job in the past before. While unemployed, my friends taught me how to invest in some stocks and lead me here, investing in crypto currencies and apparently, find more ways to earn more. It gave me hope because I never thought that I would be someone that would be unemployed for a while but because of the volatility of the price, I could make some profits in the short term and use that to reinvest again and again.

At that time I can't actually put all of my money into crypto currency not until I got a job and fully use those profits I am getting from investing to reinvest again, not just with bitcoin but also with other crypto currencies as well.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 19, 2020, 09:48:40 AM
I think it s very important cashless transactions during this pandemic and BTC play a very good role in it.

What role?..

Bitcoin may not be that usable for you or other people there but some people are actually getting something out of it. My cousin's been earning some small profit he's using to sustain the needs of his family since he's unemployed this pandemic. It isn't the transactions that only matters, it could also be other ways.

The good thing is, many scientists believe that the vaccine from Russia will be safe for all human races but still there is risk involved so it is not yet 100 guaranteed. I also heard from the news that the president is finding persons who want to volunteer in terms of subject for vaccine and there is a funny part because a lot of news outlet in my countries saying that they are finding "guinea" pig because the vaccine is not yet passed the phase 3 and for them it is unsafe. The economy is keep shrinking and a lot of stores and businesses are now affected, actually the unemployment rate is keep rising and it is so sad because millions of people are affected and keep worrying on how they will afford their necessities.

Well, it is just a gamble for all of us now. We can see how the government are really struggling to contain the virus and I think the only way for them to stop these new high in terms of new cases is to gamble ourselves in what they say, Russia's vaccine. Being a lab rat is really bad to hear but I hope it is not worst than dengvaxia, that is really traumatic.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 18, 2020, 10:57:07 AM
What’s your opinion? Are VR games something that you would like to have in the cryptocurrency casinos as well?

I don't think it will be a bomb in cryptocurrency casinos since most them will just be doing the same thing and not put any money into buying these techs. It might interest other gamers though since they are the ones with the VR already. It might be a new experience to them but all in all, I don't think it will be that great. It is great since it is VR still, it is gambling, I could do that without VR.

791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 17, 2020, 08:48:45 PM
...maybe the best solution is to provide some distance for everyone from the entrance to the gaming table.

Still, they are exchanging cards, chips which are a way for people to transfer the virus. It is really hard to implement the protocols especially to these kinds of places. I think the best thing they could do is just follow the protocols the casino is implementing.

If we see what happens now in many places, people tend to don't care about the protocols. Many of them are not wearing a mask in the public area. The police and related organizations from the government always remind them to follow the rules and the protocols, and if they still break, people will get fine.

Places here in our province are so strict the reason why the people are really following the procedures, they are even requiring now people to wear face shields. Strict protocols might decrease their increasing cases, though this is still a casino, bars are available here so there are a lot of people influenced by alcohol, not following rules is really inevitable at these places.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: August 17, 2020, 01:04:39 PM
I will not be revealing him, but that is so hard to contain. He is one of the mystery of the internet. For a long period of time, no one can actually discover the identity this person or group and if you actually found him that would be something that I wouldn't contain, but I should be. I respected his leave, we don't know him so he might have his own reason for that.
793  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 17, 2020, 10:17:27 AM
...I also heard that the Coronavirus has mutated in the Philippines, so we need to have patience and wait long enough for the vaccine to be complete to help us all to be back in our healthy lives.

This is the reason why our president is so eager and desperate to get the vaccine that he is accepting to make his people the lab rats for the vaccine Russia made. I think it is a really desperate move since we are really dropping the new cases and records in this pandemic. I don't know what is happening all I know is that we need the vaccine. I guess that the only answer.
794  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 17, 2020, 08:52:45 AM
The COVID19 vaccine is very helpful in economic development. Even though efforts for economic transition have already begun in the country everyone is realizing that the threat to the virus will not improve the business environment. That's why people are relying on the Covid-19 vaccine. Many times that has taken the form of conviction as a result lockdowns restrictions can be easily lifted and social distance restrictions can be relaxed.

I assume you wanted to say that Covid-19 vaccines will be helpful. Nothing is clear with those vaccines, I read that Russia
finished their testing, other countries are close, but I think we are far from mass production. We need to be patient and that
will happen before the end of this year. I hope that vaccines will work, they can help all of us to get back in the normal!

Well, there are a lot of risks that sorrounds that vaccine and I don't think we should still be happy and contented at that. It may raise immunity to the virus but that would be useless if we are dead. I know that this is really important to countries especially those that can't stop the increasing cases and even breaking the records like our country but I hope it could save lives, you know, not save from the virus but results of many deaths.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 16, 2020, 11:55:00 PM
As long as Las Vegas casinos do not violate the regulations set by the government, there is no need to fear lawsuits.
If proven guilty and violating the established rules, of course, Las Vegas casinos must accept the consequences.
Therefore, always obey the applicable regulations if don't want to be subject to legal prosecution.

I don't even know how will they prove these casinos to be the reason these people got the virus. It might be their fault why they are even have the virus. I guess this really falls into the psychology as @Janation said, if they got the virus they tend to blame someone or anyone. As far as I know these casinos are following the protocols, it is the people that are not actually following it.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 16, 2020, 03:56:46 PM
Why do you have to prove that you can take losses and whom you have to prove it?. Most people will get hurt if he/she lose so much money unless you are a billionaire. That is why self-control is very important to those who gamble to avoid gambling addiction or worse than gambling addiction.

Based on the article, if you want to gamble more than 100 euro, you will be subjected to a strict affordability check by an independent gambling ombudsman. This is also proposed since there are a lot of stories in the UK about problems including gambling. It may be easy for us that we can control ourselves but it is not the same for other people. It is a mental problem, that is why they are having these solutions.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think the house can counter your strategy? on: August 16, 2020, 03:12:21 PM
I watched this on a movie where the house is watching every players and if they saw you playing on a pattern, you’ll get busted but I forgot the title of this movie. Anyway, I also don’t think casinos will closely monitor each player I believe they have a system that will automatically reset the game setting every week, or even everyday so you might play the game again but your strategies will not be profitable again, Only the houses knows this thing and it can easily detect you if you play online. Don’t mind the house as long as they’re fair, you’ll be fine just keep playing to have fun and don’t get too addicted.

I watched a movie about these genius player that use card counting and going to Las Vegas to earn a huge amount on weekends, one of the my favorite movies titled 21. At that movie, there are these people that watch casinos and if they are suspiciously winning huge amounts, they will be observe and if proven counting, will be taken and beaten by Laurence Fishburne. Anyway, as I said, as long as people are not acutally cheating, the casinos have no problem with it. These people are making ways to beat the system, well, they we're also beaten with huge punches.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: August 16, 2020, 02:06:30 PM
You are right, some people are to blame for their loss but rather they will blame btc instead, when they will buy in when the price is high and then not have the patient to wait for another price rally, they will sell at the slightest price dump then blame btc for everything, hope people will soon understand this things properly.

We can all say that they are those people that doesn't actually know what will happen. They are not knowledgeable enough on where they put their money so when they are losing they will just go out saying it is a scam and all but it is all on them. Just look at those people that is here for a long time now, even though there are a lot of dumps that happened, they are still here and still getting profits when the price are like what it is right now.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: August 16, 2020, 01:05:36 PM
...the only difference is that it has so much volatility. ...

But still limited to be used since there are still a few stores and merchants that are using it. But then again compared to gold, bitcoin is still new and in time, it will get the attention it greatly deserves. Right now, as long as people get interested in it, bitcoin will continue to flourish. Small steps leads to bigger steps in the future. Let's take that small steps at a time for a bigger steps in the future.
800  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: August 16, 2020, 12:30:17 PM
The world will definitely return to its former place but it'll take a while it's clear that the way big cities are being packed up and rules are being imposed on people's daily movements isn't getting to continue within the end of the day. If everything is closed like this the social and economic impact is going to be severe if no vaccine has been found thus far you would like to guard yourself.

Well, that is the risk most of the countries made. They can't just focus on the economy of the country, they need to take that risk in order to balance it all out. People couldn't work if they focus on the lockdowns, if they focus on the economy, that would increase the risks of people getting more contaminated by the hence more cases and that is bad for the country. We won't return to that normal for a while, let's be used to the "new normal".
