7941  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware wallet vs Software wallet on: June 13, 2018, 11:58:04 PM
Surfing on the bitcointalk forum, I sometimes see some threads discussing about hacking of wallets and the discussion is geared towards the best wallets to secure individuals from hackers. Hardware wallets are normally mentioned. I decided to find out about hardware wallets and my searches made me know that, wallets which are normally hacked are of software base. I found out that some viruses which attack computers are able to steal private keys from the software wallets that we normally use. The issue of virus attacking a computer makes the use of hardware wallet very advantageous over software wallet since the hardware wallet are immune against viruses, hence viruses cannot steal from such wallets. My question is what are some of the hardware wallets and how can one get a hardware wallet?

I dig some previous discussion Hardware Wallet for you mate:

I'm pretty sure that you will find tons of idea on which hardware wallet can suits you. Actually hardware wallets are fairly cheap that's why I don't understand why people keeps on using online or even desktop wallet. Although other wallets have advantages, specially if you are a daily trader, but if you are a long term investor and just wanted to HODL bitcoin for more than a year, then definitely a Hardware wallet is the best for you.
7942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big moneys coming on: June 13, 2018, 11:34:59 PM
The media manipulated us to hodl! “Big money’s coming” meanwhile they dump there load all over us!

Again, as I have said in the previous thread, you need to filter out everything you read from the media, because we all know that most of them are not true specially on how they manipulated the market in the last couple of days. Maybe some big entities from behind is pushing it, that's why media are schilling about the price movement.

So I advise that if you are not that really sure about how this market works, its not for you. Specially when prices goes down, your are being too emotional and every news you read are going to be true. So stay cool and just let ride this crisis together and it will be over soon.

On the other hand those immune to negative news are seeing this on the bright side, another perfect buying point if ever bitcoin goes way down as other may have predicted it.
7943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People move out from cryptocurrency! on: June 13, 2018, 11:05:58 PM
I have heard from many people that there are many people to leave the cryptocurrency.

Is that right?
If  yes then what are the reason behind on it?
If no then why people spreading that kind of news regarding cryptocurrency?

People selling off doesn't mean that that the will leave the crypto market for good. Maybe they don't like what they are seeing and decided to keep themselves at the sideline for now and just waited it out till the market bounce back and then go and enter the picture again.

For those who decided to get out, those are newbies who FOMO and thought that this is the best way to get rich easily specially last year when bitcoin suddenly goes to $20k (almost). But when the price goes down the following month, and seeing their portfolio going down, they decided it was not for them so  they panic and sell everything and never comes back.

And regarding people spreading this? Well that is what you call FUD, maybe they wanted to really bring the prices down because they wanted to buy cheap bitcoins. That's why you need to filter out every news, stories and rumors you read about bitcoin because 90% of them are not true and they just want to instill fear and panic specially to newbie investors so just be careful.
7944  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend less bitcoin/alts now? on: June 13, 2018, 10:30:44 PM
I hold bitcoin and I was thinking if it was going up I would spend some, just a little bit, as a way to cash in my profits. But with the current market I just hold, I don’t want to spend my coins at such a cheap price because it will feel like a loss to me.

Do you feel the same way? What are your thoughts?

Obviously, as the price is down, everyone wanted to just HODL on it because you are not losing any money but simply holding it. Unless there's some kind of emergency in you end, cashing out your bitcoin is a no-no. So I just let my bitcoin sit on my wallet and don't do anything about it and hope that it will recover later.

So I don't understand why people really offload their bitcoin during this time and then complain later that they have lost so much. LOL. Holding won't hurt, and that is the best strategy that you can used during a market correction.
7945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 13, 2018, 03:58:48 PM
Guys I've got a new interesting news that I've read on social media. What do you think if Anthony Davis will go to Golden State Warriors? they really do like to have a powerhouse, don't they?
Source: Anthony Davis Rumors: Warriors' Interest in Pelicans Star Remains After Ring

I have seen posts about this, but just ignored it with the thoughts that these are just a kind of joke, but it turns out to be a rumor already. Dang, GSW would be the first team to build a superstar roster soon lol. I suspect if they acquire AD, they will lose one or a couple of these guys : Iggy, Thompson, and Green.
The Golden State Warriors have a good line up now and there's no need to change or trade. They swept the NBA finals with the current roster that they have, so I don't think there's a reason for them to change it. Let the other teams trade or change their line up to match the current roster of GSW. Those 3 that you mentioned are there first before KD and when won the 2015 Finals championship.

Right. Why change it when its really been effective in the last 2 years? Anthony Davis is a good player no doubt about it but we don't know if he is going to fit well because the current line up is used to play with each other and its almost automatic specially the switch they shown us in the finals against the Cavs.

So I totally agree that they shouldn't do any change for now and let the others formed their own super teams just like OKC did, but didn't clicked and Houston getting CP3 and almost upset them. Its still going to be a competitive bastketball and Golden State will have to maintain their line up otherwise just a simple change will have a negative impact on the team.
7946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell token too early on: June 13, 2018, 02:56:08 PM
As a Bounty hunter I once made a mistake by selling tokens from Bounty that I received in a small market for $ 250. After 20 days the price of tokens that I sell is worth $ 1200. So the conclusion if you want to wait you will get maximum results. Believe every ICO project will prepare a good market in the future.

Holding your bounty rewards may not always result in your favour, you need to study the project well before making your decision to sell or hold. I have had experiences of holding bounty rewards which turned into dust as the time went on. So holding any coin blindly won't help you gain.

That's why I always look at the bounties that I joined before so that I can have a idea on whether to HODL the coins or not. Although most of the time the mindset of bounty hunters is just to dump the coins as soon as they received the payment causing the price to suddenly go South.

much of the dip in the price of tokens soon after they are listed on exchanges are as a result of bounty hunters selling below ICO price. Not a good idea and is unfair to those who invested cash

But most of the time investors just the first wave of the payment so I wouldn't say that the blame is on the bounty hunters. And besides if the project is that good then investors should not worry if say that its unfair because if can really bounce back after the hail storm of dumping from bounty hunters.

There is a professional roulette player I recently met, who is unbelievably good at roulette, and somehow calculates what numbers are likely to hit next with unfailing precision. I've watched this guy play about 20 games now, and I have not seen him fail to turn a sizeable profit, except when his customer did not follow his instructions correctly.

He's the real-deal, and conducts all of his business openly and publicly here:

Oh c'mon mate, he just played 20 games and you call him professional? Those who have studied the math behind roulette took millions of spin. However, they didn't find any correlation between math and roulette so everything is really based on pure luck just like any games that you can find in a casino.

bachob100[dot]wixsite[dot]com[backslash]roullere

This is the giveway. a wix site? It's a free website builder. I wouldn't trust a so called "professional" who can't even paid for a premium website of his own. Sorry but I don't think that you can get a visit on your website there.
7949  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Malta First To Regulate Alt Coins. on: June 07, 2018, 12:59:17 PM
Malta is the crypto paradise, Malta is the early adopter of bitcoin and altcoin almost all of the investor move to Malta

That's how they built their country in the last couple of years. And inviting Binance and actually have them is one of their crowning glory for being as crypto friendly nations out there. Kudos to them.

In Asia, the most advanced country in terms of blockchain and cryptocurrencies is Japan. In Europe, Malta claims the place of such a country.  No wonder the exchange Binance moved to Malta. I think that the economy of Malta will grow several times thanks to cryptocurrencies.

How about the tiger of Baltics dude, haven't heard of them?

Quote
Cryptocurrencies are becoming more widely accepted in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, where buying a cup of coffee with bitcoin is nothing special these days. Cafes, bars, restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops, and even an orthopedic clinic, are now accepting cryptos, according to local media. It seems that the Baltic Tigers of the EU are becoming the “Bitcoin Tigers” of Europe.

As you can see there's no stopping this tsunami that Japan is now carrying. It will really conquer the world and its just a matter of time before countries will really decide what sides there are. Otherwise they will be left out in the closet when this crypto suddenly exploded in the next 5 years.
7950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN SCAM PROTECTION TIPS ! on: June 07, 2018, 12:30:07 PM
I do hope that those who have read this will follow it by heart. Because there are a lot of scammers out there, so it better to keep a watchful eye and read this guide before you let go of your beloved bitcoin and crypto's. I agree with the tips being laid out by the OP and I'll be honest with you that I was once a victim of a doubler site but I've learn my lessons in a hard and expensive way.

So you better not to trust someone that easily and always remember that "If its too good to be true then it probably is". This old adage is very applicable in this market.
7951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 07, 2018, 11:50:52 AM
I really thought game 3 is for cleveland. Game four will be a do or die match with golden state and if cleveland loss again I think there will be a big changes on a team some will be removed on the team missing kyrie irving on that situation are really a hard time on them. I hope cleveland will win on the next game.

Yeah, I thought that the home court advantage will remain in this series. Actually they did good, leading as much as 13 points in on stretch if I'm not mistaken. Other players step up, but still its not enough to overcame GSW.

Now, KD responded with a monster game and torching Cavs with outside shooting. He did show himself some Mamba mentality there, when he knocks down a 3 to put the lead to 6. I think Cavs chances are getting slim and I don't think that GSW will let this one slip away. They need to go out and finish them off and not give Lebron the chance to regroup and give them a momentum by winning at least 1 game on their home court.

Before game 3 started I was thinking that Cavs may win probably only 1 out of 3 and 4. But the way they lost game 3 I think in game 4 it is either GSW will bury them to the ground with a huge lead or Cavs will win. GSW is so spirited and full of confidence now without fear and doubt while Cavs will make their last stand. Still possible that GSW will crown themselves in their own court though. We never know how the system works here.  Grin

We know how the system works. If Cavs win then we all go back to GSW home court for the next game. And try to close out the series there. But what I'm saying is that GSW should not relax at this point because Cavs is still capable of a comeback as proven in the last couple of years.

So as a coach, would rather finish them out with 4-0 shut out and celebrate on Cavs home court as champions. Its not gonna the first time that will happen, of course its better to win it at home, but knowing Steve Kerr and with his Chicago Bulls day with Jordan. Better close them out as soon as you can.
7952  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-06] Bitcoin Buying on the Rise Again in Venezuela on: June 07, 2018, 11:34:38 AM
The hype around Petro has died down, that's why Venezuela's opted to go back to bitcoin again. And why would they rely on some crypto back by their governments? And besides, it was already proven that bitcoin is a good assets or commodity to buy right now because their country is in economic turmoil.

How many times we read that Venezuela are buying outside the country and paying in bitcoin in order to survived? So it make sense to go back to crypto that have save them up till now.
7953  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What are the obstacles that lead to the failure of the project? on: June 07, 2018, 10:50:14 AM
For me failures are more on the psychological thingy. You may have the tools, the people behind you the budget. But if you yourself is not positive about the success of your project and has doubts sooner the project will not take off causing it to fail.
That's wrong.Take an example of all the bigger products that failed miserably. The had all the tools, the had the required manpower and they surely had the vision! So what went wrong ? The fact is, you can never predict the market or how people will react to your idea. You can only experiment and learn from it.Growing is the process that should never stop. You will rarely come across founders who launched their first business and it was a big hit instantly.

What I'm trying to drive at is that you need to be mentally tough in that kind of situation. If you are not that confident in your project, chances are you will fail. So what is your next step? Maybe you learn to adjust and evolve to make your product succeed.

So there's also that element of psychology here. Not just money, investments or vision. And we need to be positive as well. But if you fail it doesn't mean that you shouldn't get up and try other process. That's how other companies manages, they learn to adapt.
7954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happen with ETH Price ? on: June 07, 2018, 10:16:50 AM
Don't be worry with Ethereum price. We knew that ethereum is good coin, you should trust ethereum will solve and recover the price soon because like we know that it always survive when the price fall.
ETH is probably the best coin on the market today, I'm not talking about value, value is BTC is the leading coin, but in terms of quality and convenience, ETH is the leading coin market, almost ICO projects are based on ETH Blockchain, and ICO projects accept ETH.

There's nothing to worry about ETH price. Yes, it has dramatically fallen from its previous high but I don't think that it will simply die that way. And we all know that Bitcoin And ETH price has some kind of correlation. So they look like having the same path right now.

The price is really falling, but it is still as strong like a year ago. So I wouldn't put too much emphasize or worry about ETH right now, as you have ICO project based accepts ETH so it will still lived as long as ICO project are there in the side. Although some have suggested that the fall has something to do with EOS, but I still bet my ETH will recover and see to it that it will remain as dominant as bitcoin.
7955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc phone scams happening??? on: June 07, 2018, 10:00:08 AM
I have found that in recent time btc phone scam has been increased a lot. Scams call people and pursue people to pay taxes and bills by btc or any altercoins. Even some asks to invest in fake coin also. Mainly the scam group target people over phone.

Has it been happened with anyone??

Hmmm, never seen this kind of scam before in crypto so maybe scammers are really one step ahead and their brilliant minds at it again. Lol. Well there's some famous scam out here wherein, you will received a text message saying that you won this big amount. But before you can claim the price you need to send some funds. So maybe they just put a twist on it, so this time they are asking for bitcoin or any other crypto in return.

So at least we have a headway and thanks for sharing this odd scam so I guess we need to be very careful and attentive and not fall for this kind of trap.

Well it boils down to the which comes first, chicken or egg argument. But I don't think that Bitcoin really owes its success to blockchain alone. There are other factors and you can say it to blockchain as well. Ironic part is people are talking about this so called ledger which can't be manipulated and data is permanent.

However, they are totally against the crypto currency that made it famous and applicable to almost facets of industry now. From Pharma to Banks, to Logistics and even Medicine. That's the beauty of Blockchain Technology, the same technology that powers Bitcoin.
7958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luck in cryptoeconomics is a myth? on: June 06, 2018, 01:52:08 PM
I think that luck does not exist, the more in a sphere such as cryptoeconomics. In order to enter a profitable project, you need to analyze all the risks, and then again analyze everything.

Of course everything in life has something to do with luck, so with that said I believed that you need to be lucky to make a lot of profit in crypto. But I'm not saying that you have to base it everything on pure luck, you have to study and do your homework as well because money will not come to you that easy.

So luck + hardwork = making money. Just saying. We can have arguments about it, but I'm talking based on my actual experience here.

7959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get paid for my 600 BTC? on: June 06, 2018, 01:27:45 PM
A friend of mine got an offer to sell his 600 BTC to some chinese businessman.
The problem is how to transfer money from China to EU.
Do you have some ideas?

The amount for that bitcoin is around $4.5 Million so you need to transfer it via bank accounts but changing huge amount will cause you huge taxes so you can split up your trade and do it gradually and also use escrow for big transaction then your funds will be safe.Paypal is not a good option because they will charge you more heavy taxes than bank transfer.

Plus it will cause a red flag for banks to see this kind of amounts being transferred overseas. I suggest face to face, or like sort of LocalBitcoins transactions. That's a fairly huge amount so I would be very careful on dealing with the other side unless you really know this guy.

So can also do small transactions to not raise suspicious if you really insist of not meeting the buyer. At least in this way, its going to be safe on both side. Of course, escrow is a must, but I'm not sure who you going to trust with that huge amount.
7960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 06, 2018, 12:46:15 PM
Ok so Game 2 ended with another win from Golden State Warriors at 122 and Cavs at 103. No need for an over time today. On Game 3 I am guessing that Cavs will be again the one with the lower odds because of the winning streak of GSW but I think playing in the home court of Cavs will give them (Cavs) a better advantage. Why do I have a feeling that a repeat of GSW blowing a 3-1 lead again that happened in the 2016 finals?
I think that is very far from happening considering that the Warriors have already learned their lessons and will try to avoid that scenario once again. Dreymund Green is controlling himself now so he won't be suspended from a game because that is the main reason why the Cavaliers have climbed from that 3-1 hole.
I was actually thinking that the same thing will happen. Lebron doesn't get that much of a help yet but when he does, that is the time that the Cavaliers will turn the table. Kyle Korver and JR Smith were ice cold and hasn't contributed yet. A couple of good games from them will help the cavs go back to the series. A monster game from Kevin Love is also required to get a win from the Warriors. I also want to mention about the referee's, I think they are calling in favor of the Warriors.

Kevin Love and George Hill was really contributing, but I don't know what happen to the rest of the team specially Kyle Korver. I don't know if coach Lue is really thinking that Korver is a liability in defense that's why his time is limited.

But I'm not surprised if Cavs bench started to play as a unit since the next game with will at their court. We all know how it really affected players mentality specially if they are playing at home. So its going to be a good game and James is going to explode as usual but watch how the other players contribute and cut this to 1-2 deficit.

It is like everytime the other players score double digits Cleveland win. That means the rotation is doing great.
Kyle Korver, JR Smith and Green will need to step up. They can also use Thomson for post up since it is a small line up for Golden State. It cannot be all Lebron. It is easy to defend when they have the same strategy over and over again.
They need new ones. Like Lebron is the one waiting at the three point line or cutting on the paint.
I dont see that kind of plays. It is always Lebron as the handler and then he will try to penetrate.
Smith is a guard, he must know how to make plays.

Yes, I definitely agree that he can't do it alone. He can also take that much and sometimes is not enough to carry his team to a win. That's why playing at home will have a lot of advantages to them specially role players you mentioned. I'm really expecting them to really contribute like Korver, who is a not existent in this series specially his outside shooting. Smith's outside shooting and Thompson hassle play.

Actually he can do post up because no one can guard him except Javale McGee. I think Smith is more of a shooting guard than a actual play maker like like says CP3. But he needed to contribute and at least score 10 points to give them a good chance to win.
Tomorrow we will see if the cavaliers will really step up.
I believe they will give their best tomorrow and the number of days before the game tomorrow is enough for the cavaliers to prepare.
If they will loss tomorrow, it would be the end of their series as the chances to come back is very slim.

Correct, that's why I'm really expecting them to go out and play their best game otherwise, the chances are getting slim as the game progress. They have been in this situation against the Boston Celtics before, and came back, but we can argue that Celtics and Golden State is two teams.

However, when a team whose back is against the wall, then expect them to bring out the best in them. And if the betting odds are good, then I will take it anytime.
