Have a problem with nanominer. Can't start miner on ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. B250 MINING EXPERT with 8 GB RAM and 19 x P106-90. Try to use different mining OS (OS.Dog, HiveOS, RaveOS) - no result. Can your fix trouble with big count of card in the next version?

Read the FAQ about this board. You can´t put 19 same cards on it. You must split it with AMD. Example 8 Nvidia and 11 AMD. Here you can find the official FAQ from ASUS.

802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: itx or mini itx cpu/motherboard combo with "above 4g decoding"? on: May 18, 2021, 11:18:19 AM
Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't seen a CPU that works with 20 watt TDP, not even the new CPU with very low nm and with motherboard the watt will be higher than 20watts anyways but since you will be mining with GPUs only your CPU won't draw high watts

No cpu that works with 20w tdp? Ryzen Mobile CPU´s have 10 - 54 watt TDP. Some old Phenom 2 have 25w TDP. AMD Athlon or Turion start with 12 watt TDP. Intel Core I5 4350U -> 15w TDP  Cheesy
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Next phase for Ethereum Miner on: May 18, 2021, 10:18:58 AM
Mining ERG is more profitable than ETH or ETC and you can use 4GB cards. An RX570 can do aorund 64mh on ERG (algo -> autolykos2). An 1050ti do around 30mh. You can also dual mine ERG with ZIL ->nanominer or srbminer

V0.7.5
+ Fixed hashrate for 'autolykos2' algorithm on RDNA and RDNA2 GPU's that broke on previous version (0.7.4)
+ Fixed 'autolykos2' algorithm for Tonga, Fiji and Hawaii GPU's that broke on previous version (0.7.4)

what's the hashrate for fiji and hawaii?

got some on the grave yard  Cheesy

Give it try and you will see  Cheesy

My R9 380x push 41mh out on ERG.

Hi Doktor,
Example for ERG+ZIL on Rustpool.xyz? It doesn´t work at the moment. Rustpool give more zil than every other pool, so i want to stay on this pool. With nanominer it is no problem, but i prefer your miner.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: One rig different GPUs on: May 16, 2021, 11:49:57 PM
Yes no problem. You can mix all cards if you want.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool strange payments -appreciate some help here- on: May 16, 2021, 10:38:05 AM
Hello everybody,

Just would like to ask the experts here (as you can see for my earnings I'm not newbie in this world), why my nanopool daily earnings fluctuate so much even having always same hashrate

As you will see in attached pic, my hashrate is basically the same every day but inexplicably on first days I started receiving every almost 48 hr my 0,05 eth earnings but from 09/05 to 13/05 it changed and payments were done every day... how is it possible?

Thanks in advance and regards

So you are a newbie. ETH rewards fluctate with the network activity. More transaction in network, more fees in every block, less activity in the network, less fees in every block.
Difficulty also go up -> less reward.
Next factor -> luck
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 16, 2021, 09:43:37 AM
Hi.

I am trying to use API to stop and start miners, I am really new to this.

Trying to use curl like this:
curl.exe http://XXXX:17790/api/miners/28?action=stop

But when I do that I only get the summary response from the miner. What am I doing wrong here ?
Any help would be appreciated.

### Update - I ended up using powershell instead, line like this:
Invoke-RestMethod -Method 'Post' -Uri http://xxxxx:17790/api/miners/28?action=start

Hi,

All API actions like stopping a miner must use a HTTP Post-request, like you did with Powershell. For CURL it must be specified with "-X POST" to make it work.

I used this commands in the past "curl -i -d POST http://192.168.178.10:17790/api/miners/60?action=start"
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining is dead. Yeah, sure thing! on: May 16, 2021, 09:40:40 AM
You can still mine ETC on that laptop of yours, 4gb is doable today compare to weeks back, I can bet something around 4$ from ETC with a gtx1650 right now, the truth is this insane amount of profits won't last forever, I can smell bear market coming already

Not sure about $4, more like $2 or less on ETC. Not worth burning an expensive laptop for it.

Mining ERG is more profitable than ETC and more than ETH also  Cheesy
You can also mine ERG+ZIL for more profit.

There are so many alternatives out.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Diary] An adventure in mining (by RTX 3060) on: May 13, 2021, 04:05:59 PM
Nicehash ... people really are that dumb
I don't understand the hate on Nicehash...

some people behinde nicehash had problems with the law in the past.

You heard from the problems from the phoenixminer developer and nicehash? No? Then find out more about this and you will become scared.

And if Nicehash loose all coins again on a mysterious way, than you understand the hate.

Can't someone just mod a driver for rtx3060? This card do 50mh with ease I just hope something comes up one day for this GPU it sucks to buy at 1100$ and get 25MH per this GPU when 600$ card can do 31mh ( gtx1660 super )

Use this driver:
https://mega.nz/file/rE1E0JCS#-xL0bc6t2UiuiZ0Vtc-I9hcqGhV0UIr0B6FKJcdy_kE

It works for me. My average is 47MH/s.
According to some reports it is necessary to be directly connected to the PCI-E 16x port and have a connection on HDMI.
As it is my main PC, it is how I have it.

The people having trouble with the hashrate of this card can find the driver by searching "nvidia's geforce 470.05 beta driver" on google. The link on Mega is non existent as Mega.nz removed it.You can put it in another host and people can download and solve their problems.

I need 10 seconds to find this driver.

810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consoles ever going to be used for mining? on: May 13, 2021, 02:33:00 PM
Very early of this year I read about the possibility of mining on new high end consoles like ps5 and Xbox series X have anything been accomplished about this already? Or it's never going to work out ?? Series X GPU us like 3090 mhen, what a waste of graphical horse power

The ps5 and series x use slightly different versions of AMD RX6800. Do you find much ps5 or series x consoles? I think not. And no, no one will mine on his console.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I transfer the lite settings of NiceHash miner? on: May 13, 2021, 02:26:07 PM
Hello guys!
So recently I tried mining using nicehash quick miner. I see the miner is mining ethereum. They also have different modes of the miner. When I select the lite mode my hashrate stay the same 40mh/s and card is pulling only 100W. My questions is can I copy those settings and use them to mine ethereum directly via gminer or some other miner. I guess it's about the gpu clocks both memory and cpu and maybe the vcore?

Learn how to optimize your cards and don´t how to copy some settings.

Use Msi afterburner, set a low fixed voltage for gpu, overclock your mem. Try something and understand what the hashrate do if you change the settings. Understanding something will help you in the future if you have problems.

Mining is more profitable today and GPUs are growing more costly everyday and here I am burning my own GPU 😭

Is there any a way to fix a GPU that stop displaying due to riser burn? I mistakenly turn riser to the wrong side on the motherboard and GPU stop displaying and fans are running slow

Is the gpu working in a normal pc in the pcie 16x slot? Try this first

i did exactly what the op did. i was able to get the card to run on a 16x full slot.

I had a two slot mobo put the dead card in one slot and the other card in the other slot.

i ran smos

simplemining.net

it worked for mining it never displayed again.

But he didn´t give you any information what he tested or not and so on. So we didn´t know that the card is working or not.

Hi Patrike,

My progress column did not work after the update:
In version 8.4.7 is all fine.

Thanks for the report. This was indeed an issue. Can you please upgrade to the latest version 4.8.9?

Yes progress column works again.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Overclocking L3+ (Status of "x") on: May 12, 2021, 11:01:09 PM
Hey there. I got a used L3+ recently. I adjusted the frequency to 500(max) and when it was working, one of the chips was shown as "x". I immediately changed the frequency to the default value (384) and it returned to "0". Temperature was 60-70 C when it was shown as "x". Now, I have some questions.

Why it showed me the x of status? Is it normal that showing "x" sometimes.

Moreover, if I adjust the frequency to 450-500, is there any big possibilities that chips would be dead?

Which frequency do you recommend "default" or "(max)% of default"? (Like max 30% of default.)

Yeah nice try. Why the hell you raising the frequenz to 500 if you don´t understand what you do? X means chip is not working, because to high clock. Make this more often and you kill you asic yes.

Start with around 400 and try to increase after a while is it stable. Max i prefer is 450.

EDIT:

Compact list always not working. I tried only with Accepted shares, no success.

Do you have a link for 8.4.7?

But i write every time use TEAMREDMINER  Wink

Quote from your first answer:

Quote
This is for Teamredminer, if you use phönixminer, only need the first screenshot i think.

How was I suppose to figure out Phoenix won't work at all LOL

Ok Cheesy but at this point i didn't see that you want to use binance pool, so i made a config for ethermine that will work for all miners. Did you try this config with Teamredminer?
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to get started... on: May 12, 2021, 01:31:13 PM
Can I mine with a hd 6870 1GB? Setup start_miner.bat but when I run start_miner command window reports no GPU available for mining. included -list in start_miner and nothing shows up. Thanks for any help.

You can not mine ethash algo with 1GB. Epoch 0 on ethash need 1024mb vram. And really no coin is in Epoch 0 and your card has only 1024mb vram, and some of this ram is needed for Windows.

Try mining XHV. But i think the reward is to low for this old card.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 3090 and Antminer s19 pro confusion question on: May 12, 2021, 01:01:54 PM
Hi Folks

I'm mining on my gaming PC with the only GPU i could find available which is a AMD RX6900 XT but only 59ghs. (my RTX2080TI died)
I was considering getting a RTX3090 or an more expensive amntminer S19 or 17 etc.
I've found a brand new Nvidia RTX3090 for sale and on Nicehash it says approximatley $30 a day at 110mhs...not that i currently use nicehash, I use EUethminer.org pool.
The Antminer S10 pro says 110ths but only $33 a day??

So...RTX3090 110mhs
S19 pro 110ths
So Terahash is a lot more than Megahash so why the approximate same $30 return per day?
To clarify Nicehash reports almost the same daily $30 reward but the S19 pro is 10x more expensive thatn a rtx3090 and the S19 pro reports 10 x hash rate on Antminers website.

Addtional note:
Also even with overclocking/high timing is there anyway to get more than 59mhs from my AMD RX6900XT
Is there software algorithm coming soon to improve hash performance as the 6900xt is almost same hashrate of a 5700xt.
Thanks

Different algos. You can´t compare the hashrate.
The problem is, you use nicehash and they pay in btc, but you don´t mine btc with your gpu. I think starting with nicehash is a bad option, beacause you learn nothing. You only download some software and click click it will starting with mining.
Read more about the different algorithm.

Dude i write, these commands are for TEAMREDMINER!!! It will not working for Phönixminer. Use Teamredminer and it will work. Phönixminer not support zilliqa+eth mining on binance pool at the moment.

Configuration for Nanominer is easier if you want, but only if you read my hole messages  Cheesy

Thanks for correction but to be fair you never said Phoenix will not work at all Wink Are you sure it doesn't currently support zil+eth?

But i write every time use TEAMREDMINER  Wink

Oh and another question (I'm posting this separately to avoid mixing up answers): my main program is 8.4.6 and Remote agent for linux is 8.3.3 How do I update RA via Awesome miner app?

Right click on the the rig in Awesomeminer and update remote agent?
