Patrik, I'm still struggling with setting up dual mining ETH-ZIL on Binance/rustpool. Binance requires username instead of wallet and I can't find the right miner configuration, can you help?
Did it fail when you used the setup suggested by sxemini above? It should be the same concept no matter which pool you use. When entering your username instead of the wallet address, isn't this accepted? What is the error message you get?

The hiccup comes from these 2 commands sxemini suggested to add to  pool specific commands under Advanced tab:   --eth_dag_cache=0 --eth_stratum_mode=ethproxy Phoenix miner shuts down immediately saying these are invalid commands. Are they necessary?

Dude i write, these commands are for TEAMREDMINER!!! It will not working for Phönixminer. Use Teamredminer and it will work. Phönixminer not support zilliqa+eth mining on binance pool at the moment.

Configuration for Nanominer is easier if you want, but only if you read my hole messages  Cheesy
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Atiflash with more than 10 GPU ? on: May 12, 2021, 08:08:05 AM
For risk against bricking your GPUs, it is much better to flash your GPU cards one at a time.

I know it is a long and slow process but you only have to do it once each and then you're done to mine indefinitely.

Try and not cut corners when you're setting up your mining rig.
This is complete bullshit. You are talking about risks but then suggesting to switch off ALL the safety checks before flashing? I was flashing cards remotely for years and did not a single card was screwed up.

For the inital question. Just use new version, it is called AMDVBFLASH version 4.69. It flashes 10, 11, 12, etc. cards no problem.

The initial question is nearly 3 years old, i think he found his answer a long time ago   Cheesy
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What do people mine with L3+ on: May 12, 2021, 08:06:12 AM
Recently was lurking around my old data center, wanted to move some S9s to a place with cheaper electricity and found some L3+.
First thing to came my mind was to check them on coinwarz, whattomine etc. and hoi they haven't been more profitable then now..
So I  hooked up them on nicehash but I feel like I can get more out of them, plus I'm not a big fan of that pool, but profit is profit if that's the best one..
S9s are on viabtc & some on slush, I did try to run LTC on viabtc but hard to calculate profits + they earn you some Doge as well.
So my question is what do people mine these days with their L3+? What pool and coin etc..
any help would be much appreciated

LTC+DOGE give the most reward at the moment.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Squeezing the most out of my CPUs on: May 12, 2021, 01:46:22 AM
Hi,

I've started playing around with CPU mining and would like some input on what I've done so far.

I currently have a server with 64 cores (4x16 AMD Opteron 6378, 64 threads) with 256GB of DDR3 dual channel memory.
I'm using Awesome Miner and I've set it up for profit switching with mining-dutch (turned off due to weird coin its mining), zergpool, miningpoolhub, and nicehash and its using the Yescrypt algorithm primarily and the SPUminer-sse2.

So far its been consistently mining Myriad coin through miningpoolhub, at 10.52kH/s with a $0.49/day or $14.90/month estimated profit.

I've tried benchmarking other algorithms and tried other miners but they don't seem to either work or have terrible performance.  I've looks around for ways to maximize the CPU usage since at normal loads its barely pushing 55% CPU across all 64 cores, so Im thinking this is a miner app limitation?

I've been looking at other pools to possibly plug into awesome miner through miningpoolstats.stream, but again I've only had luck with the Yescrypt algorithm so its been limiting me in what I can mine.

Are there any other options for my setup?

Try veruscoin. It perform good with many threads on cpu. Try it with srbminer or nanominer.
Srbminer support many cpu algos and all cpus. I use it with old I7 920 cpu for example.

Other algos you can try: yespower, curvehash, cryptonight_upx, rx2, lyraz330, verus ....

Use zergpool for example.

Enough already metroid, all those weeks is already enough to make most of your money invested on GPUs back, I'm glad I don't follow your warnings because I bought my GPUs at Feb of this year and now Ive made them ROI back

hehe, well, I purchased my 2 3080 for 1k usd each in february too but i dont mine with them, I actually use for important stuff, 1, I use for gaming and the other one for deep learning. I'm not a miner, actually, I have never been one, even in bitcoin earlier era, I have always been an investor, buy and sell and vice versa, mining is for losers but hey, is one of my hobbies know about mining and its economics because to be a successful investor in crypto i had to learn about it.

Mining is for losers? Crypto would not exist without mining! So how stupid is your comment? Why your are here in the mining section? The next level for metroid comments. you will become a meme with your statements XD
You know nothing about mining thats the only truth.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone mining verus on CPU on: May 11, 2021, 08:47:35 PM
Anyone into CPU mining on here? Which one is faster between these two CPUs

A) Intel Xeon e5 2630 @2.3ghz x2
B) intel i7 9700 @3.1ghz

The Xeon has 6cores 12 threads per CPU making it 12 cores 24 threads and the i7 has 8cores and 8 threads

The Xeon is faster and it can do much hashrate in verus.

OP is verus coin that profitable for CPU right now? Why not try out epic cash? Mine and swap for USDT because I don't trust the project completely but it's profitable and many aren't mining it because it looks like it can't be trusted, mining difficulty is pretty low too

Verus is the most profitable coin for cpu mining.

Probably the best processor will be the one who consumes less power.
But CPU mining is a big headache Smiley

He ask which one is faster on verus and not how fast is it in randomx. Verus mining is more profitable!
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Ethereum with 4gb RX470 cards in 2021 on: May 11, 2021, 01:03:48 AM
Go to ERG, make 100% more profit than ETC. ERG can also dual mine with zilliqa.
My RX570 do around 64mh per card mining ERG.
Tradeable on Probit or Tradeogre.

Also good profits mining Haven Protocol, and it use less electricity. RX570 hashrate is 900h - 1000h per card.

Patrike ETH+ZIL need a little bit more. I write you about that. Many miners need some extra options.

He can try this:

You can ignore the eth address or set one of yours. The nanopool and eth address only need that you can connect to rustpool. Change the ziladdress and set your binance worker. Maybe you must change the rustpool port to 8008.

This is for teamredminer. Nanominer is a little bit easier i think at the moment.

830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Radeon 550 Sapphire Pulse on: May 08, 2021, 09:27:50 AM
Did you change GPU Workload from Graphics to Compute mode in 'Radeon Software - Settings - Graphics - Advanced' ?

Yes I did, By the way, I have a slow computer specs can that affect ?

What will you mine ETH? Your card have not enough vram for the DAG. Mine ETC and this cards do 13.7 - 15 mh
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best overclock settings for RX580 8GB on: May 08, 2021, 09:19:20 AM
My sapphire Nitro+ rx580 8gb running on 32,6 mhs with 1200/2200 890mv ~100w from wall.
how people can go so down. my some cards even dont down after 940mv. core voltage doing 880mv but it doesnt effect consumption but memory voltage effects alot. as soon as i give 920mv on memory then after couple hours crash. and also with 940mv i cant go up 2070mhz it will crash, how people cards stays stable on 2200mhz?
Ofcourse miner showing very less 66w-78w.

Because mem voltage and core voltage running the same voltage. If you set core 880 and mem 920, the card runs with 920 on core and memory. Different voltages have no effect, another bad point on many linux OS. You set a voltage but the cards don´t work on this voltages and this is not shown and no error or something like this.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crash internet line mining on: May 07, 2021, 10:21:09 AM
hi everyone, is it possible that the rig with 5 rx580 crashes the internet line? Hacker?

Maybe you used hacked software or still use a hacked software. At a friends farm i saw something like this. He tried a new miner (it was a hacked one) and this miner install something and connect several times to other ip´s, after a while the internet is blocked by windows, because to much connections. He must restart the rig and all good for 1 day and then again. So we looking for some virus and after deleted much infected data, the rig runs for weeks now.

Try other coin, Zcash is a ASIC coin, you don´t make any profit. And please take another miner, this miner is very outdated.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig is acting weird on: May 06, 2021, 12:08:13 PM
I've been like three times now that my rig will reboot itself after four hours of mining, I've checked the temp and it never exceed 56°C and also I've changed my ram stick too, what other thing to look out for?

first give us your system config. Without any information about your system, what os, what miner, what oc and so on, how should we help? I have no glass sphere sorry
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Mining problem on: May 05, 2021, 01:28:10 PM
This happens if you have to much OC, the driver do a reset and that is the reason why you can´t connect to the system via teamviewer.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 05, 2021, 11:08:51 AM

Ah ok sorry, i will take a look into binancepool and will report later to you. Yes Zil use the same OC as ETH, because it is the same algo  Cheesy

I will rework the config for binance pool for you.  Cheesy

Can't make it work with these settings so far, Phoenix shuts down immediately after start.

This config is for Teamredminer as you can see i added some teamredminer commands to the commandline. Delete all the teamredminer commands and it work.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still doing Cpu mining? on: May 04, 2021, 01:02:06 PM
if you have a high performance cpu let's say between 16 and 32 threats (between real and virtual) you can try to successfully mine monero or the altcoin of the moment arqma even with turtlecoin you can collect a little something
Still not worth it, back in the days you can easily build CPU rigs for mining Monero alone but now randomX isn't giving that same opportunity anymore, if you aren't using anything like Ryzen 7 to Threadripper it's a waste of time

It is worth, i mined 1600 verus in the last 18 month with 4 cpu´s and thats really no high end cpus. So now 1 verus is worth over 2€, so i made over 3000€ with 4 cpus in less than 2 years, after electric i get 2000€. I think it is worth, CPU mining is for long time mining!
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still doing Cpu mining? on: April 30, 2021, 11:18:50 PM
If you have some HDD laying around its better to use that powerful CPUs to start plotting chia coin, today it's on news that IOU version of Chia coin is now available on gate.io which means the coin will be listed on that exchange soon
If it will get listed on gate.io then finally we will see the price, where did you find this info can you share please?

Dudes that was not the question. Go back to topic, chia is a hdd coin and no cpu coin so why you talking about chia here?

Minerstat calculator says 100MH on verus will net you 10$ per day, what is the name of verus algorithm? I'm sure it's not crypto night or randomx, I'm wondering if this is more profitable than mining Monero? I have a PC I can use too with i7 9th gen

Verus algo is verushash, have you multi thread cpu´s, i think it is the best deal. A ryzen 8 core and you mine with 15 threads can do 18mh. I only use 15 threads, 1 is for gpu mining.
That's too tasking, 18mh with 15 threads? I'd rather start farming chia with the CPU and it's HDD/SSD instead, not worth it unless you have free electricity and plotting chia isn't that electricity consuming

And after plotting? What will you do with your cpu? Nothing? He ask about CPU mining and not HDD mining and he has multi core cpu, that brings more if you mining coins with it. For chia mining you need no big CPU, so get back to topic.

I understand that chia is good and many people like it, but HDD mining is not new, but no one care about it in the past, and now all think it is the next new big think. Chia farming consumes also electric, cpu is also working if mining chia.

Yes only if they come prebuilt in your gaming PC, it doesn't make any sense to invest in CPUs for mining right now because a CPU that costs 2000+ can only give you 1 to 2 $ every day not to talk of those AMD Threadripper that costs even more

Sure, but he has this CPU. i don´t buy cpu´s for mining, but can i make some extra gains. No my old Ryzen5 cost me 130$ 3 years ago or so and it give me 0,5$ a day after electric, i think if you can buy an ryzen 3900 this can give you around 2$ a day and don´t cost 2000$.

840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: new asic ETH miners is coming. what should gpu miner do? on: April 30, 2021, 04:20:49 PM
EIP1559 will active in July; miner will loss huge revenue. at the same time, two company lunched new asic miner: bitmain, and Pineapple. both are around 3.6Ghs, 2500W. shipment from Jun.

under this double attacks, what should gpu miner do?

 ethercoin.org
maybe one good choice, no eip1559, no asic miner, allways pow , no shifting pos.

Gpu miner, keep happy mining.

You an mine ERG, it brings nearly the same profit and you can mine it with 4GB cards. Haven Protocol is also a good choice, it use less energy than ETH. You have so much  alternatives, ETH is not the only gpu mineable coin dudes.
