821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Thoughts. Is Bitcoin mining just another money pit? on: July 01, 2017, 02:17:44 AM
You think that there were a lot of hobby miners that were profitable in 2016? I highly doubt that. Only if you had brand new equipment, which only comes from China. They mine for months before selling it to western/European people I'm sure.
822  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC a chance to change the deadlock of 1% rich peple holding FIAT capital on: July 01, 2017, 02:13:52 AM
Smart rich people invest in cryptocurrencies. It's naive to think there are tech billionaires out there who think that bitcoins are bad and fiat it good.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it even possible to regulate bitcoins? on: July 01, 2017, 02:12:24 AM
You can try but if someone doesn't cooperate basically the only thing they can do is arrest them, throw them in prison or fine them. It'll probably work for most people.
824  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Google Reviews on: July 01, 2017, 02:10:53 AM
Sketchy fake rep building on other websites eh? I'll assume you do this on other websites .. Such as bitcointalk.
825  Economy / Economics / Re: Proof USD fiat is a bubble? 23 Countries Abandoning US Dollar on: June 24, 2017, 07:19:03 PM
Ya, if bitcoins are in a bubble then what is the USD in? Some sort of hyper thin ready to burst balloon with rotten meat and intestines inside? Seems like a good comparison to me Wink. With a leader like Trump could you ever expect people to stick with USD? I think Trump is great for bitcoins. There's so much "He said what!? How do I move to Canada tomorrow???" that it's inevitable people will want to use another currency. Bitcoins are so attractive right now.

Zomg mark cuban said bitcoins are in a bubble then they crashed almost $1000 the next week or whatever. Who cares. They're already back up to where they were almost. Whales need to feed their massive families apparently. So what. We aren't in a bubble, and when the USD crashes bitcoins will be worth $100,000 USD each (which in today's terms will be about $8k each. What a worthless currency based on thin air).
826  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy BTC with Cash on: June 24, 2017, 07:11:26 PM
I would have proof but don't share my methods on public forums. A quick Google search will show I have been doing this for four years and have a great reputation.

If you have been doing this all these years then you should not have issue getting to build a new client base. Instead of directing us to Google why don't you share the link because I really don't know what to search for on that Google. For me, even if I have, I would not want to trade with you because bitcoin promotes anonymity but you looking for cash so I can disclose my identity is obviously a no no in addition to you willing to travel anywhere shows some level of desperation from my point of view.

He never said he was going to demand I.D. when he gives you $3000 cash man. Calm down. You don't know the identity of that guy selling a lawn chair that you met on Craig's list just because you saw his face.

Are you only willing to do this for Americans or are you willing to cross a border? Say, a northern border  Tongue
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Satoshi Nakamoto Is Dead!!! on: June 24, 2017, 06:36:40 PM
Note: this is a theoretical thread to discuss what would happen to Bitcoin, its price, and fanatics if it was suddenly revealed who is Satoshi Nakamoto and that they are now deceased.

What would happen to:

1. Bitcoin technology;

2. The price of a Bitcoin;

3. How would the community feel.

Discuss.

Unfortunately for you, I have just read an article where it claimed that the creator of bitcoin who claimed to be Satoshi with all analogies and events analysis died in 2013 but nothing happen to bitcoin if truly he had been the one who created bitcoin. What we have witnessed is even a sporadic increase in the price of bitcoin from 2013 till date. So bitcoin has been able to grow without relying fully on Satoshi and that is what has make it worthwhile and will remain so even if we learn of the real Satoshi.

Mhm we've all seen articles saying Hal Finney was Satoshi. 1 problem though, there's no actual proof. It's all heresay. He was Satoshi's #1 guy, his right hand man, he even received the FIRST bitcoin transaction, but that doesn't mean he was Satoshi. It means he was the genesis block +1. If you see their conversations it would be pretty dumb of Satoshi to just try and explain things to someone that's brand new to bitcoin rather than just being like "hey since you're me obviously you know what's up so here's some bitcoins self. thanks self."
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: June 24, 2017, 06:32:42 PM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.

Lol OP doesn't understand segwit2x so he started a thread to show his ignorance. Could you explain to me how bitcoins are "splitting" OP? Where do I get my two half bitcoins? Here I though I'd have 1 bitcoin on one blockchain and 1 bitcoin on another (dead) blockchain. Silly me.
829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1, Bitcoin will Ends? on: June 24, 2017, 04:20:44 PM
OP, read  a bit more before you spread FUD!

Segwit2x s been agreed on and as it seems now, it should be activated and ready for August 1. There will be NO BITCOIN FORK!

Yup — Segwit2x still hovering at around 80% though.
I think 80% is still good enough for now cause eventually the rest will be forced to join the bandwagon as 20% is a huge part of minority and I am sure no one wants to be part of that.

That's such old news. It's over 90% now. The minority is only the slow people it seems. Everyone has finally agreed to go ahead with segwith2x.
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1, Bitcoin will Ends? on: June 24, 2017, 02:55:42 AM
Hahaha please show me the website that says bitcoins are going to die because of a hard fork. Who would write such an article? A sports columnist?

No. There will be two versions of bitcoins and the crappy kind will crash and burn. Bitcoins as you know them today will most likely due unless the chain gets some followers but it doesn't matter. Just HODL.
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a bubble anyway? on: June 24, 2017, 02:50:27 AM
Almost all altcoins are in huge bubbles and are constantly being manipulated. Bitcoins are speculative too but at least you know you're behind something solid with brilliant minds coming up with solutions.
832  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Chatbox on poloniex on: June 24, 2017, 02:41:19 AM
in early june, chatbox service in poloniex close
because all moderator busy to reply sending ticket support poloniex member
Chatbox as known as Trollbox in poloniex has been removed from poloniex for a "long" time now.
I say long because many users are having issues with poloniex and so the moderators there have been transferred to support team to respond tickets "faster"
So in essence, the poloniex chatbox has been closed so poloniex can respond to the complaints that go in their trollbox support ticket quickly?
You get this information from where and from whom? Do you know someone poloniex moderator, can you share it for me?
Because I also have a withdrawal problem there and I do not get any response from poloniex on my trollbox ticket.
Because of this https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.06.07-Improving-Our-Support-Capacity/

But my thought there was no different before the team was closing the trollbox. I mean there is no improvement in the support capacity and the result is same. That looks pathetic a lot of account on polo gets frozen and the team just try to give a reply with a simple answer.

Because i've an account gets frozen too.

Were the trollbox mods trained to do support tickets? If not then they're being trained now so it's not going to be instant. Even if they hired new staff it'd be the same outcome.
833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk management - name 7 coins - balanced portfolio for the summer on: June 23, 2017, 06:51:10 PM
About GBYTE I am wondering, there has been a massive distribution of 'free' Bytecoins to us BTC holders recently. So what about there being an excess of supply - couldn't that depress or even drop the price?

To see how much it drops on each airdrop look at the historical prices on each full moon in the past 6 months. That gives you a good idea of how much you're going to drop percentage-wise on each full moon. Keep in mind though that if you own byteball in your own wallet you'll get 20% on top of it (I think that's how it works) + blackbytes. Also don't forget to link your bitcoin addresses to your byteball address if you're still holding bitcoins. That gets you 62.5mb/btc. Not bad at all.

Feathercoin... I rest my case.

It's pretty stable compared to most crypto. That's why I hold some (albeit not 7.5% of my portfolio. Closer to 0.5%).
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ALIBABA TO ACCEPT BITCOIN BEFORE AMAZON & OTHERS on: June 23, 2017, 06:45:39 PM
Oh great a random public poll based on nothing. FIX YOUR CLICK BAIT TITLE.

Did you know that 82% of Americans hate trump?! I interviewed 100 people and 82 of them hated him so this is 100% accurate. So stupid.
835  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Did not reply to my Ticket for more than 6 days on: June 23, 2017, 06:43:48 PM
That should be a common thing on most exchanges – bad customer support service. I have a ticket that is sitting there for 11 days with no respond, it was about a depositing issue, which has resolved itself (I believe); yet no respond from the support team.
Many people can't just wait patiently for few more minutes to get their deposit/withdrawal processed and create new ticket every time they experience delay of few minutes, this is increasing number of tickets per support staff have to go through. This will delay response to the needy ones who have real/actual problem and also account verification process there have been delayed due to huge amount of support tickets they are getting.

That's a crappy excuse. Every business everywhere has this same problem but it doesn't matter because the staff is big enough to handle it. Any other exchange you'd have an answer. If they're growing to fast maybe they need to slow the growth and or hire more staff and get them up to speed yesterday.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Satoshi Nakamoto Is Dead!!! on: June 23, 2017, 06:34:17 PM
What would happen to the tech? Um, nothing? Obviously.

The price? It'd go up. The private keys with possibly hundreds of thousands of bitcoins are now useless.

The community would probably have some sort of big ceremony/memorial to honour their life.

What about if satoshi was a group of people? Would all of them be dead?
837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help Brute force big reward on: June 23, 2017, 06:30:58 PM
Hahaha that's a pretty ingenious scam. Why not just make your passphrase 2x longer than a private key so it's infinitely harder to crack than a private key? Any wallet that I've added a password to doesn't have anything under 16 characters so good luck! He's obviously selling the private key to anyone that comes along. Why wouldn't he? He's getting free money for 0 risk.
838  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Cheap Bitcointalk Accounts Junior - Hero on: June 23, 2017, 05:55:08 PM
I've sold you multiple accounts before. now you hate selling accounts? lol. I know the reason of your posts is only for your signature campaign. Your making the community suffer with your nonsense posts. I report your alts. I know them.
Fine, please go ahead and "report" all my alternate accounts. Also we would be glad if you link all my alt accounts .My posts are not non-sense,had they been,I wouldn't be a part of one of the oldest and the most reputed campaign on the forum.
Whatever I do on the forum is not as bad as you selling bulk farmed, shit posted accounts.

Rofl that's hilarious. He sure called you out. Quoted for reference.

Why so cheap? I'm assuming you'll be able to sign from an old address on any of these accounts right?
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 per bitcoin on: June 23, 2017, 05:48:46 PM
Awesome! Australia legalizing them is huge for English speaking Eurocentric countries to see that it's in the best interest of everyone to just make it legal. Lucky for me on July 1st there are going to be lots of fireworks going off because it's Canada day! I'll be celebrating twice as hard  Tongue
840  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: TorWallet says bitcoins are sent, but block cypher says "unspent" on: June 23, 2017, 05:41:54 PM
This isn't a blockchain issue it's the wallet you're using. I had never heard of torwallet but after reading through some posts idk if it's a legit wallet. Why not just use core or electrum through TOR?
