Manchester City also won without any trouble. You can feel that they could eventually find a winning goal even though it came late.
Well, West Ham did cause City some problems (not much though), as is typical of West Ham they were a threat on the counter, they'll sit back, soak pressure, and whenever they break it is very dangerous, and that was how they got their goal. City controlled the game even though at one point it seemed as if they were going to share the points. Having said that, City still have their 100% record, the rest of the league would not like this, City have won three EPL titles in a row, if they make it four it'll mean the EPL is now somewhat of a farmer's league.

Chelsea and Bournemouth with the first goalless draw of this season, there was a lot of chances for the two teams to score, but it wasn't to be. Bournemouth will be happy with the one point considering the opponent they came up against today, but Chelsea on the other hand will be hugely disappointed, one win out of five after all the money they've spent is a disaster, to say the least.

Just five games in and Pochettino is already under huge pressure, if the bad results keep coming, it wouldn't be long before Tood Boehly sends him parking, Chelsea have to do better and they know it, but i don't see it happening anytime soon. Sorry Chelsea fans.

If an average team like Brighton can defeat Manchester United with three goals in the Manchester United match against Bayern Munich, I can say that Manchester United have no hope of even drawing the match.
That's two different teams in two different competitions, you cannot use the game today to draw conclusion on the mid-week game in the CL, mind you too that Bayern Munich likewise failed to win this weekend, they drew 2-2 against Bayern Leverkusen. Having said that, Brighton are by no means an average team, they are currently one of the best teams in the EPL right now, Roberto De Zerbi is such an excellent manager and who knows how high he and his Brighton team will finish this season, top four?
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very safe coin because of good developers on: September 16, 2023, 09:45:29 PM
Wallets can be hacked and the Bitcoins in the wallet would be stolen, but the Bitcoin network cannot be hacked because there is no single point of failure (with thousands of nodes/miners around the world), anyway, the Bitcoin network can be attacked, and an "attack" is different from a "hack". This biggest possible attack would be a 51% attack, but the cost of that somewhat rules it out.

BTW, i don't know what's the point of this thread, it is a poorly constructed topic and whatever OP intended to say is already common knowledge in this forum.

Dani Carvajal was the weak link for Manchester City, as they operated from the right full back position more during the Champions League games last season. He should be replaced with a good defender...
City were the better team against Real Madrid last season and they were better than the Los Blancos in every department of the field, not just in the right back (left wing of attack) position, i think the game was won in the midfield, City controlled the midfield all game in the second leg. Having said that, even if we agree that Dani Carvajal was the weak link, he can't be judged on one game, he is a very solid defender who has contributed so much to Real Madrid, he is no longer the youngest right back out there, but he is still solid and a replacement isn't urgently needed.
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream coins or altcoins? on: September 15, 2023, 04:51:58 PM
I don't know what you're referring to as mainstream coins, but if you meant Bitcoin or altcoins, then it is definitely Bitcoin for me, it has an actual utility and it isn't going extinct like majority of new altcoins. Having said that, investors who like to gamble with their funds would prolly choose altcoins, though more often than not they have no utility and survive just on hype, but they usually have the potential to pump pretty high and fall back fast as well, that's why i likened it with gambling. Looking for good altcoins is almost impossible, so buy Bitcoin, you're certain it is a good coin and its use cases are pretty obvious.
847  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i get a functional wallet on: September 15, 2023, 03:47:07 PM
but if you want to store multiple coins like Btc, Ethereum and other in one place then I will recommend Trustwallet (10 m download) or Safepal wallet (1m download).
The number of downloads on playstore counts for nothing towards the security of a wallet, a wallet can have millions of downloads and yet be unsafe or not recommended. When looking for a wallet to use, things you should look out for is if the source code is open or closed, if the wallet is custodial or non custodial, you should also take into consideration the community's view/review about the wallet. If you pay attention to the number of downloads on playstore, you might download a bad wallet. Having said that, both trust wallet and safepal wallet are closed source, thus they aren't good options.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 15, 2023, 12:32:46 PM
Chelsea and England defender Reece James, 23, has been earmarked by Real Madrid as a long-term replacement for Spain's Dani Carvajal, 31. James signed a six-year contract with the Blues in 2022. (Diario AS - in Spanish)
I consider Reece James to be one of the most solid right back's in the world, the only issue with him is that he gets injured more often than not, so that will surely be a concern for whoever his employers are. Chelsea would definitely be unwilling to sell Reece James, with him in their team they wouldn't have to worry about a right back for a long, long time.

Having said that, things change pretty fast in football, Chelsea aren't doing particularly well at the moment, thus if it continues, it is possible that James might want to leave, but one thing is sure, and that's that he is going to cost quite a lot of money, but if Real Madrid is the club interested, then obviously money wouldn't be a problem.
849  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Remitano exchange allegedly hacked on: September 14, 2023, 11:10:48 PM
Is deposit and withdrawal still available on Remitano or it has been disabled?
I don't use Remitano, so i do not know, but if na true say they have been hacked, dem go soon suspend deposit and withdrawal, because too many of their customers go dey rush dey try withdraw their money right now, and if the exchange continue to dey process withdrawals, coupled with the money wey dem don already lose to hackers, dem go become insolvent asap, this one na another reason why dem go halt deposit and withdrawal.

Two days ago it was CoinEx, now na Remitano, make people no dey carry this talk of not your keys not your coins dey play oh, because e go shock you like film when your fund go dey inside exchange wey just collapse, to avoid this kind matter use only non-custodial wallets take dey keep your funds.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 14, 2023, 10:29:29 PM
Chelsea wasted a lot of money on transfers they just wanted superstars in their team and paid big money but that isnt how football goes. You need players that can go well with each other and thats why Chelsea keeps on having bad matches and looks like another bad season if they dont change something quick.
I wouldn't say they wasted money per se, but it is true that they bought quite a lot of players and they prolly didn't even need some of them, sometimes i don't know what Todd is thinking, he just keeps spending. But on the other hand there's no denying the fact that they really acquired talented players and if they stick together at Stamford Bridge for many years, then sometime in the future we can say their investment did pay off.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 14, 2023, 09:15:33 PM
The only match i dont know what the outcome will be is between Brighton and Man Utd,honestly anything can happen here so will avoid it.
Quite rightly that's a very tricky game, on their day Brighton can beat any Premier league team, Manchester United fans will hope Saturday isn't their day. Erik Ten Hag's men are just coming off the back of a defeat to Arsenal, they would have loved to get back on the pitch earlier, but the EPL was halted due to the international break, thus they have been waiting for quite some time to get back on the field and see if they can put things right, and this can put more pressure on the team.

Having said that, Manchester United would have hoped for a different team than Brighton immediately after the internation break, this is going to be such a tough game, i think it'd end in a draw, not a goalless draw, prolly 2-2.
852  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: El Salvador: bitcoin education in school curriculum on: September 14, 2023, 04:50:18 PM
Will the goal be attainable and what does this mean for your own country?
El Salvador already successfully made Bitcoin a legal tender, thus whatever goal/experiment they make with the currency will be attainable, but this definitely means nothing for my country and others where Bitcoin isn't a legal tender. Don't expect many countries to make Bitcoin a legal tender or to adopt it in their schools like El Salvador did, situations differ and most countries in the world today wouldn't see any need to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender. They can regulate/tax it, allow people trade/own it, but they wouldn't officially make it one of their currencies.

and now CoinEx assures users that the missing coins make up “just a very small portion of CoinEx’s total asset”, and that losses will be covered.
That is what they always say, basically because they don't want their users to panic, but the truth is that when the process starts, it could take as long as possible without the victims getting their compensation or a refund. CoinEx would definitely struggle to offer any compensation here, even though they posted that what was lost is only a "small amount". I don't take what they say seriously anyway, because anybody can check what their daily trading volume was before this incident, as well as what their 'reserves' held, it is obvious that the amount lost is substantial to CoinEx and what they are saying is bullshit. If you had coins in CoinEx, i'm afraid it is going to be a long and frustrating process, which might not yield anything positive.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 13, 2023, 11:04:59 PM
Manchester City will not sell him for that price. It's not possible. Even his current transfer fee is worth at least 250 million euros, according to the market average.
Let's not even talk about City's valuation of Haaland, but the club in question here, Barcelona! The same club that is in a financial crisis, the same club that is struggling to get their players registered; and because of their financial situation they can only manage to get some big players on loan, how then are they going to fund the transfer of Haaland.

Erling Haaland is having the time of his life at Manchester City right now and i'm pretty sure he does not want to leave, neither does the club want to sell, some of this rumors is just so ridiculous.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 13, 2023, 10:13:02 PM
Yes, but we all know the Arabs.
They can say "Hey Mbappé why don't you stay 2 more years and we give you 500m € as a bonus?"
They did something similar when Mbappe wanted to leave some season's ago and they were successful, so i'd not rule it out from happening again. PSG have made quite a lot of mistakes with Mbappe, though they refuse to admit it, they should have let him go when he wanted to do so some year's ago, instead they gave him a ridiculous contract that somewhat made him bigger than the club. That decision came back to bite them as Mbappe refused to sign a new contract and is prolly on his way out for free next summer. If PSG know what's best for their club, they'll simply let him go and build their team from there without him.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 13, 2023, 08:53:36 PM
If I am to predict the outcome of this game, I won’t say West Ham will win the match but they might be able to draw the match against Manchester City. Manchester City are in a better position to win the match or at least draw while West Ham are in a better position to draw the match or at worst lose the match. By last season and this season’s performance so far, Manchester City still remain the best choice to win the match.
The thing is, West Ham have nothing to lose, they basically have to come into the match, stick to their gameplan and try to punish Manchester City when they have the opportunity to, it is obvious that City will have most of the possession and West Ham know they will have very limited time on the ball, so whenever they get chances they have to make them count.

Having said that, i think there's going to be goals in this game, both teams would score imo, but City are going to win, prolly 3-1.
857  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin no be for everybody inside Nigeria on: September 13, 2023, 06:21:28 PM
E no get any country wey everybody dey use Bitcoin, this matter no dey peculiar to Nigeria at all, some people go use am, other people will not. Nigerians no dey too spend Bitcoin because merchants wey dey accept am no too plenty, so if you wan spend you go convert am to Naira, another reason why Nigerians no dey too spend Bitcoin na because dem see am as only investment, no be only Nigerians dey guilty of this anyway, them dey reason say why them go spend coin wey the price fit appreciate.

Bitcoin adoption choke for Naija oh, i think we are number one in Africa, plenty youths for Nigeria don adopt Bitcoin and the adoption go dey increase dey go, even if we dey use am mainly to dey invest and wait make the price appreciate. I believe say when our government set clear regulatory framework for crypto, we go see as plenty businesses go begin adopt crypto and e go even dey easy for Nigerians to spend Bitcoin in stores and other areas.
858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another reason and proof to keep funds in your wallet not in an exchange on: September 13, 2023, 05:32:39 PM
Keeping funds in a crypto exchange is more riskier than keeping it in a traditional bank.
Exactly, and i second that. Of course banks do not get hacked as easily as centralized exchanges, they are much more secured, and not only that, the money you keep in the bank is insured, at least up to a certain amount. Thus even if the bank fails, you wouldn't lose everything you have kept with them, as you'd be paid back some, based on the amount that's insured.

Being your own bank comes with certain responsibilities that quite a lot of people are not ready to take, so instead of them being their own bank, they push that responsibility to centralized exchanges.

Manchester United supporters have already grown frustrated with the Glazers family for their reluctancy in selling out the club or investing huge in player acquisitions and infrastructures. I heard the Glazers have now taken the club off the market and no longer on sale. This will really break the hearts of the supporters who have been dreaming already of a Qatari takeover.
It is obvious that Manchester United fans want the Glazers out, but it is their right to want to sell or not and even if the fans continue to complain and protest, i don't think Manchester United is going to be sold anytime soon. The Glazers haven't done too badly as regards buying players, Manchester United have been spending quite a lot of money on player acquisition just like other big clubs, if they have been getting the right players is another discussion entirely. As for infrastructure, yes the club must do better, but United fans must admit that the Glazers are still very much around in Old trafford.
860  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Network Congestion Issue in Remitano on: September 12, 2023, 08:56:40 PM
Remitano Delist BUSD
Paxos stopped minting BUSD, Binance have also stopped supporting the stable coin, and people hodling BUSD have been advised to convert their BUSD to another coin before February next year. This was posted some days ago in this board:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5465266.msg62778023#msg62778023

Remitano has now also delisted BUSD, and this will continue for every exchange that lists the stable coin, if you are hodling it, convert it to Bitcoin or another stable coins if you want to keep the funds in a stable coin.
