841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 02, 2018, 05:40:17 PM
So, who sold at the bottom? Bear trap is over and according to masterluc we're in the beginning of the 4th wave. From this point we're going UP!

Why would it go up? The market just collapsed to $7500, yet the market imploding is somehow "bullish"?  What planet are you from where you think a parabolic blow-off top occurs and then somehow another bull market happens again right after?  Any real market on earth would be stuck in an extended bear market for years after the bubble implodes like that.  In order for it to instantly skyrocket now for no reason, it would be required to be a scam since no legit market does that.

Welcome to the age of internet you old fart... Here in 1 minute 3.6 Million searches are made... 4.1 million videos are viewed.. And shit load of other stuff which happens within a minute[http://www.visualcapitalist.com/happens-internet-minute-2017/].. Yet alone a day...

847  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-1-11] TorGurad Lightning Network payments lower fees to almost nothing on: January 15, 2018, 11:58:26 AM
Well its clear that bitcoin can't scale with its current infrastructure, The Bitcoin has the first movers advantage currently, I don't know how long it will last. Nokia was the king of the phones for a long time and it got replaced with something better, Same will happen with bitcoin if it fails to adapt and change. I believe Bitcoin cash and other forks are not an answer to this problem. We need something like lightning network which will actually solve the 'Big Fee' issue which is currently plaguing the bitcoin community. Else we all know how the market plays with the guy who doesn't wants to change and adapt in time.

Well if you want an extra 30 buck per month, through it on nicehash and hope for the best.

852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU mining still profitable? on: January 12, 2018, 12:12:29 PM
Hello I'm new here and I want to mine some coins, I would like to ask suggestions from other experts here on which coin is best to mine and hardware needed...

Hey josh welcome to the forum. Unfortunately the answer you are looking for isn't a straight one, it involves lots of complexities. To answer which coin is best to mine, you have to take many things into consideration, like electricity cost, hardware cost etc. As for 'experts' Some will say etheruem while the other lot will say zcash etc. Same for the hardware there is no general consensus, some will support the gpus while other prefer asics. What I will recommend you is to look around in this section you will find plenty of useful information. Good luck.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Still profitable? on: January 12, 2018, 11:51:29 AM
Follow what drg said. We are living in the age where information is Readily available right at our fingertips. Look around for yourself instead of trusting a word of a total stranger on the internet.. If you are in for the money then you must do your research before investing your money into a rig. It doesn't makes sense to throw money at something you don't understand. Mining isn't a get rich overnight scheme. You will only end up losing money this way..
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ethereum with NVIDIA 9xx cards in Windows 10 with latest drivers on: January 11, 2018, 01:48:21 PM
So I'm trying to follow this guide to the T, and I'm still ending up at 12mh/s. I have 2 970gtx's on a rather good powered machine using 32gb ddr4 on a 6700k cpu. Yea gaming rig. Just wanted to start to learn this mining thing Smiley I've done everything said in the first post, even going back to the driver specified, and I cannot get more than 12mh/s.

Can someone tell me where I may have gone wrong? :/

You can't do much about it currently... The dag size is too big for 970s to handle, you will hardly get 8-9 mh/s on each of 970s. 970s aren't much profitable for ethereum these days.. Try something like nicehash. They can give you around $150 per month. Good luck.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to 3rd world countries on: January 10, 2018, 07:49:59 AM
Well by 'poor' if you mean the lower working class, then they are still a decade or 2 away from using cryptos in their daily lives, The problem is the infrastructure and education. Most lower class people don't even know how to use a smartphone yet alone a crypto-wallet. The cryptos can help their living standards imo. As for the middle and upper classes they are already involved in mining and 'investing' in the cryptos. I know this, cuz one of my friend is running his own mining farm. As far as 'usefulness' is concerned, it will be as useful as it will be in the first world countries. I can't imagine if it will serve the people less or more just because its in a different part of the world. Bitcoin is borderless it will be as useful in USA as it will be in Germany. As for your last question, it is a tricky one. Most government officials are corrupt, bitcoin and other crpytos are a safe haven for them but it will only worsen the countries economy if the ordinary joe starts to use them. So the governments will always be against the cryptos.
856  Other / Meta / Re: Cannot Reach to Bitcointalk.org with my DSL IP (Mobile IP works fine) on: January 10, 2018, 07:19:27 AM
Hello;

I'm a big fan of bitcointalk.org but cannot reach to the forum with my ip. So I'm using VPN in order to access to the site. My mobile IP is working fine but just DSL line sucks with bitcointalk.org, why?

Thank you!

Which isp are you using? Also which DNS are you using? If you are using a default one that's most likely why you can't access bitcointalk.org, I will recommend you to use google dns, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 , If you don't know how to change the dns you can read this guide

Just installed the wallet, The wallet looks good on my phone, one thing tho, my phone is rooted so right from the first launch it gave me a warning that the wallet works best on a non rooted phone. why is that? i thought this was going to be the most safe wallet out there? I will continue to test it. Going to import a wallet soon and will update the results here.

Update: the good thing i noticed is that when you switch between apps it asks for your password again. Looks like a solid wallet, till so far. When is this hitting the app stores?

Asking the price of the gun shows that you have the hidden thought in mind about buying it later on and possibly commit some crime.
This kind of policing to prevent future crimes isn't good for the forum.

What makes you think that? You can still trade around, just because you got negative trust doesn't means you can't trade with members over here.. It doesn't hinders your ability to make posts, add 'valuable' comments to the discussion or does it?  Roll Eyes
