861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: October 24, 2023, 08:36:12 PM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.

Sounds like dollar cost averaging would be something you might want to look into.  Basically you buy (or sell) a set amount for a specified period (day, week, month, etc).  So that it limits your downside risk if it goes down but keeps you involved in case it takes off.  Good way to continually add to your stack of crypto as well.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on: October 24, 2023, 08:34:12 PM
Hi everyone

I just need some advice. Huh

I run a small business and have customers who want to pay in TruefreedomCoins (TFC)

I'm searching everywhere but can find a way to get it to pay out.

Is there anyone who has experience who can assist.

If that is a crypto I would think you wouldn't want to do that.  If you can't find a way to cash out there probably isn't much liquidity to do so and there might be a wild amount of volatility.  Why don't you just offer something much more stable like bitcoin and or litecoin or something of the sort?
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your nice hit to leave the casino. on: October 24, 2023, 08:32:45 PM
As a gambler, from when I leave the house down to the casino prior to getting there I normally project specific amount that should I probably hit am turning around to leave for home immediately. And am quite sure am ain't the only one who have for one  had this plan thought wrapped in his head, some persons might have too.

Just in case, what amount will be looking like a nice hit for you to leave a casino just immediately for maybe your first, second or third hit on the machine as you have just walked in?

It all depends on your goal for the night.  If you are there to walk with a profit you shoukd take the first hit and leave.  But if you are there from some entertainment you might have a bigger variance in terms of when you will walk away both up and down.  But either way you should always have a top end no matter what or bottom end no matter what that you stop.

@ChiBitCTy. Agreed! The Dolphins offense is clearly one of the best and the most risk taking in the NFL, however, Eagles defensive team might be enough to stop some them from scoring many points. Also, I heard the comment that the Eagles are having difficulties in the redzone and this is true, however, he did not say that the Dolphins are also one of the worst in defending in the redzone hehehee.

In any case, there was a turn over for Miami as I create this post hehe.

Also, I have my 2nd win in fantasy! I am very happy with this hehehe. I still have chance to enter playoffs!

Miami got hit really hard with injuries to their offensive line.  No line no running game or enough time to protect the qb long enough for route trees to finish.  Miami depends on a lot of time for these things to come together.  I like their offense but if their line can't hold up achane will have issues too once he comes back.

Yeah I'm not sure I'm feeling the Dolphins as much as I was now.  Their defense isn't the greatest either and seems to falter against pretty tough teams.

While I did have a solid victory in this league, finally, I also went 5 for 6 in all of my fantasy football leagues this week.  However when it comes to my bets, let just say I had for too much faith in the Detroit Lions.  I should know better being that my team is also in the NFC North.

Lol yeah that was a complete dud.  In terms of betting I can't nail down the nfc north or the nfc south.  Just can't figure those teams out.  Seems like those divisions are wide open in terms of who will be hot come December.  It's been an odd year in terms of betting.  Less and less parity which seems to make the games more fun to watch.  Either that or I'm just getting worse at betting lol.

NBA basketball is on TV tonight! It’s back baby!
I was so excited, but when I read the article about Bradley Beal (back) being unlikely to play in the opener against the Warriors, as per Shams, my excitement disappeared and turned into disappointment. This is so disappointing because some fans might say that if Bradley Beal had played, the Suns would have surely won in case the Warriors won. Since Bradley Beal will not play tonight, I'm going to pick the Warriors.

I’m not sure the Suns need Bradley Beal to beat the Warriors. However, I also don’t think the Suns have had enough time playing together to be able to beat a team with as much history playing together as Golden State. I really don’t know which way to bet this one, but I’m leaning towards the Suns. The Denver/LA matchup is another tricky one, but I’m leaning Denver.

I think Denver takes this one by double digits.  Think it's also going to come in with a low score.  Something like 112-100.  I think the over under is around 228.  I can see the Lakers coming out of the gate slow.  Lebron and crew get better as the year settles in.  Maybe I'm off but that's what I'm banking on.  Think the Suns game actually ends up being the game that comes down to the final minute.  Just hole we get some good games out of tonight.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2023, 09:08:50 PM
Just one more sleep until NBA basketball kicks off. I think with the Damian Lillard trade the Bucks became the team to beat in the East and I think the pickup of Bradley Beal makes the Suns the team to beat in the West. I think the Warriors will have another good year along with the Celtics and Nuggets, but I think the Bucks take home the crown this year.

Bucks yeah good possibility, but if the Suns still can't beat the Nuggets, i have Jokic and Murray repeating this year, probably.
The only thing that really bothers me about the Nuggets making a repeat is Jokic. The guy looks like he's about to lose focus on his basketball career as he got so hooked up with horses lol.
I don't know, maybe it's just me or he is really lossing focus. Well, I hope he'll still play at an MVP level.

On the other hand, between the Bucks and the Suns, I'd take Bucks all day.

Have any of you seen the most recent beats commercial that features LeBron? Crazy how his wife Savannah has a message for him to not stop playing until he got their 2 sons play along with him in the NBA lol. LeBron will be like almost 45 if Bryce is lucky to get drafted early in his career.

I'm leaning that way too.  Until someone can figure out how to stop jokic I can't see them losing a 7 game series.  I do want to see them fave the Bucks because they actually match up well now on them. Also looking forward to seeing some of the younger teams take that next step like okc...and finally just want to see my knicks take another positive step forward.  Q Grimes has to have a breakout year for them to take another step I'm thinking
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 23, 2023, 09:03:44 PM
Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?

Someone whom we both have this discuss yesterday said this is a good practice, I still don't see a reason why because I don't keep record of my losses, I tend to only remember when I win a certain amount, if its good enough you won't easily forget, but apart from this I don't care.

So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?

Not keeping records, does this make me a bad gambler?

Depending on where you are gambling its good to keep records for tax purposes.  In terms of tracking for the sake of seeing your wins and losses it's also a good practice to see where you are losing all your money.  There might be a sport you continually lose or win but don't realize it because you don't track.  If you don't gamble all that much it might not be worth it.

For anyone interested, Tuesday is the Nuggets ring ceremony, and they will be playing the Lakers. It's actually a good night of basketball as you have that game and also a little later the Suns take on the Warriors. Should be 2 really good games worth the watch.

Can't wait!  Feels like it's been forever since meaningful nba games have been played.  These shoukd be 2 great games.  Things I'm looking forward to seeing:

-How does Beal gel on the Suns, and how does everyone still get their shots up.
- how does cp3 play into the splash brothers scheme.  Does steph now play off ball because cp3s value is with the ball in his hand running the show
- does austin reeves play a bigger role coming off a great season and fiba tourny run?

Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?

I mean if it's a deal breaker for them and they won't stay with you over it then yeah if ypu love her/him why wouldn't you?  If gambling is worth more than the one ypu love then you need to check your addiction out and possibly get help.  If it's not an issue in your life then maybe have that conversation with them first to see if there is some possible middle ground like a set dollar amount or something.

For the guys who are fed up with their wives, they will really take this as sort of an opportunity. Heck, some men find gambling to be more entertaining than with their wives who don't even know how to cook omelets.

For housewives who are unsure what their partner would choose they better not ask their husbands to choose whether her or gambling. It's not in his best interest to keep a wife who is not supportive.  Grin

I mean if you are looking for an easy way to leave your significant other than I guess yeah this isn't a bad way lol.  Seriously though I've seen it happen where gambling has gotten the best of people and they've lost someone to it.  If not handled right gambling can be like any other addiction.

Honestly that's like someone who isn't all that Rick betting $100 on a game.  It's all relative.  And for rich people they can afford to have these losses and move on like nothing happened.  It just seems like a lot to the average person because that is life changing money.  But to a billionaire they will make that money back on interest in one of theor investments in a week.
most of these games that we see the rich playing with and earning good money from it. It is all about taking risk and if we don't we might not be able to make any good profits.  If we can be more confident about the our bets, this will make us to have a better winnings since we are not too scared of losing. There are many bets I have gambled on without any atom of fear and had given me a good profits while those games I thought would give me a good profits never see the lime light. Whether we are a skilled gambler or not, we need to be confident our any bets we want to gamble on.

But for them betting a million is like me betting $100. Confidence aside it's the same thing in terms of what it impacts in theor life.  Losing $100 won't do much in terms of detrimental my lifestyle.  Same for them losing that million doesn't really impact their life.  So it's not about taking chances it's about willing to lose something that doesn't really impact your life win or lose.

It's all preferences really.  There are good and bad dexs' and good and bad cexs'.  It's just what people are looking for.  The problem with centralized exchanges really is that people tend to use them as theor personal wallets which is where hacks impacts the ecosystem.  If people use exchanges like they should, meaning on board crypto trade then offload into a wallet where only you control the keys than centralized exchanges wouldn't be all that bad.

875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Islamic Coin? A Muslim Community Coin 🔥 on: October 21, 2023, 07:00:38 PM
It must be noted that if this coin has been making a big event for airdrop hunters yet the airdrop reward has not been distributed. It's caused by there was also vesting period implemented by the developers. The price is slowly going down again after it was getting massive pump.
I have some friends who participated in this airdrop and they were being eligible for around 1k ISLM coin. Im sure that the price will be dumped so hard once the unlocked token will available to be sold by the hunters.
I remind you that if the supply of this coin is also really big at this moment. It can also become another factor why this coin will be dumping in the future.

There are still many tokens locked this time but as per the schedule if the more tokens to be unlocked gradually.

I was so pissed to a point that I thought ISLM marketing was turning to daily spam, my twitter, my instagram and facebook, they literally occupied everywhere but look at their price today, they seems like the usuall ICO token that promises heaven and earth in another life but when you look deeply, they are just another typical ERC-20 usual token that are launch everyday on Ethereum and BSC.

It seems there has also been a lawsuit that was file a week ago by Dubai virtual asset regulatory that they don't know and don't have any relationship with ISLM. It seems that the teams were using Dubai residents and prominents people to push the token for marketing before the launch and trading which was misleading because that is impersonation that could even bring down the project in the future if the team were to be investigated, no wonder the price has been crashing.

In addition, the token is basically listed on 4 exchange, $2M volume with a fully dilluted valuation of $4B, if tokens were to be unluck, I doubt if the two exchanges are going to able to handle that supply, the price will further slide down.

It's just like almost every coin out tthere. Only created to enrich the creators and theor inner circle.  Remer the old poker saying if you can't spot the fish at the table then you are the fish.  The same applies to altcoins.  If you arent in any of these inner circles then just consider yourself as liquidity for these people.  Easy way around it?  Stay away from all these types of "projects".
876  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 21, 2023, 06:54:46 PM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?

I'd say it's the opposite.  People with more than enough money could really just use gambling as a form of entertainment.  I think people with "not enough money" can't gamble at the rate rich people can.  There is also the ruts of losing for those without money too.  If you are rich you can have an extended losing streak much easier than someone who isnt.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2023, 06:15:37 PM
Speaking of the Warriors, Wemby had a pretty nice highlight tonight swatting Klay Thompson and then getting a monster dunk on a fast break the other way. It was impressive.
Like what people are saying on social media, is he an alien? A few more years and development of his muscle, he's gonna be an absolute beast inside the court.

Yeah he is. I think the Spurs tanking for the season last year has paid off. Though some people has doubt this kid's ability in the NBA, but I don't think he's a bust. With that height and skills he'd be unstoppable in the next 2-3 years.
Imagine buffing himself up just like how Giannis buffed himself, he'd definitely be unstoppable a little better than the freak of nature.
Now, the next step for the Spurs is to build a team around Wemby and surely they'll be back in the playoff picture again.

I don't think anyone is doubting Wembanyama's ability, he's got everything that is needed to thrive in the league, I believe what most people are saying, at least speaking for myself is that we can't expect a Jokic or Giannis-esque from him right from his first season, he's got a lot of potentials but it's not going to be a day work, Giannis and Jokic aren't were they are today by their first season.

Agreed its unfair for people to compare to those types of players.  Jokic and giannis are perennial mvp candidates and "best in the world" conversation.  People need to let the kid play and see where he lands in terms of the conversation.  After seeing him in the preseason I'm just excited to see him take the court.  Wonder what the ratings will be for the kids first game.

I think this topic should be how do I steer clear of every meme coin.  99.9% of these you will end up losing money what's the point of even trying g to dig through all this crud.  Most are just copy paste clones with a different meme behind it.  No point just pure greed driving this market.  How about looking for a real viable project?
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2023, 09:51:15 PM
The Lakers and the Suns facing off was a cool game to watch. Both teams seemed to lack something. The Suns in particular seemed to have guys out there on the floor that shouldn’t be playing in an NBA game. I thought Nurkic looked good but some of the Suns smaller defenders looked lost out there when facing up against bigger players like LeBron.

As I see it, the main point of preseason games is to get the main players of the teams warmed up before the regular season and also to give the bench players some playing time on the court. That way, the bench players have some opportunity to prove themselves, while the coaches can decide who should play in the NBA and who shouldn't.

I hope so. The less Grayson Allen I see on the court the better. He has no business being in the NBA with his dirty play style and I hate seeing him on my home team.

Just a few more days until the season kicks off now. I can tell you that I will for sure be spending Tuesday night watching the guys on TNT kick off another year of NBA basketball.

I know back in his college days at Duke he was.  Watched plenty of his games and wasn't fond of his style.  Surprised actually coach k pit up with it.  Since he has been buried on the Bucks I really haven't been following.  But is he really still that dirty of a player I thought he cleaned a lot of that up.  He is decent for 15 minutes off the bench as an 8 or 9 guy off the bench.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 20, 2023, 09:48:42 PM
Today I witness something very strange in the area where I live recently. There was a gambling shop that was not too far from where I am staying, so every day different gamblers visit the shop to bet on games, some win and some don't win a dime.

So, yesterday afternoon, a man bet on a midnight game and the game played accordingly as predicted, but the surprising thing was that the betting agent ran away with the money the man won, and the betting agent is no where to be found.

However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.

I don't know about any of this doesn't sound like a legit shop.  Is this more like a bookie and not a physical shop?  In the US not any shop can just set up.  But yeah with bookie's and illegal gambling ypu are taking risk that you won't ever get paid out.  There are plenty of legit ways to bet with little to no risk so not sure why anyone would bet this way anymore.
