881  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Binance card is here on: March 27, 2020, 11:59:50 PM
Apparently, there are no fees:

You just transfer 15 USD worth of BNB or BTC to your card balance, and we'll process your order. We don't charge any monthly or annual fees.

What about transaction fees? Which currencies are to be supported? Any currency conversion fees? ATM fees?

I doubt everything will be entirely free.

883  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: fuck google ads on: March 27, 2020, 11:16:07 PM
Crypto ads have been allowed on Google for a while already. Also, scams like this manage to get through because the ad submission part is mostly automated. It'd be incredibly unrealistic to expect Google employees to go through every single ad submission before they approve/decline them.

Go through every single ad submission no, but they don't seem to be doing anything with sites with domain names looking similar to domain names used by high-traffic sites. But it's not that they aren't doing anything so perhaps they have other priorities and maybe cryptocurrency-related site scams aren't common enough for them to care (yet).

anyway, be careful
suggestions:

1_ bookmark this forum as preferite

2_ use adblock

884  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: OpenDime or Hardware Wallet? on: March 27, 2020, 10:54:58 PM
The real problem will be newcomers into cryptocurrency as they're not aware of how everything works in the space. They'd simply use the Trezor normally without doing their own research. Rest assured that if any of these noobs lose their funds because of Trezor's negligence, things will start taking up heat. I wouldn't be surprise to see a class-action lawsuit sometime in the future, if many people start losing their hard-earned crypto funds as a result of company mismanagement. As long as nobody loses their coins, the company won't care about mitigating said vulnerabilities on its devices. Luckily, there are many other alternatives out there on the market which gives us peace of mind.

Hasn't happened so far so I doubt we will be seeing 'many' users losing their money due to this. Not a single person has shown up to say they lost anything because someone stole their Trezor and they had no passphrase or too weak a passphrase. I'm sure most people who keep a large amount of money on their Trezor use a secure passphrase anyway.

Satoshi Labs should have done more to inform their customers about the security of their Trezors but the risk is overstated.
885  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sell Goods for Bitcoin on: March 27, 2020, 10:16:44 PM
Yeah, it is called EBAY, or CRAIGSLIST  Grin Grin Grin Grin    After you sell your goods there, you can take your US Dollars and buy as much BitCoin as you want.

Only a TOTAL FOOL , complete idiot, or moron would go to a very small market, where it takes longer to sell goods, sell good for less, just because you insist on direct payment in BitCoin.

WISE UP

Or someone who's not in a hurry, or someone who has stuff to sell that Bitcoin users are likely to buy such as electronics, especially mining hardware.

Then they have some bitcoins without having to go through an intermediary such as an exchange.
886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Banking issues on: March 26, 2020, 11:02:17 PM
Your problems weren't probably related to AMLD5 as previously suggested, but (in the eyes of the bank) to prevent a potential victim from sending large amounts of money to a scammer. They'd rather delay the transfer than risk helping send money to a scammer, there must have been too many cases similar to yours where the person making the transfer wasn't as informed as you were.
887  Economy / Services / Re: do any thing in iran for 1000$ on: March 26, 2020, 10:30:05 PM
What services can you offer? Do you have any skills? (You probably do.)

Now due to coronavirus tons of people are out of their jobs, or are about to be laid off, differentiate yourself while you still can.

888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tone Vays Stands by $4K Bitcoin Price Pre-Halving Prediction on: March 26, 2020, 10:12:12 PM
But, he got lucky (well the world is unlucky right now) because something MAJOR happened and that's it, it wasn't some technical analyst type of stuff, it wasn't all that important, I still think that we could potentially go to 10k like we did a month ago, but if suddenly there is a whale coming in buying 10 billion dollars worth of bitcoin, that will not make me right, that would make me just lucky. What would have made him right is if there was nothing major going on in bitcoin world and he still said it and we still went down, no corona no nothing, then he would have been right.

How many predictions does he make on an average month? Make enough predictions, eventually one of them will turn out right, this time a black swan helped him out.

890  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Localbitcoin Not allowing the Withdraw on: March 26, 2020, 03:35:04 AM
I don't know, but there must be a reason why this country made the list. Maybe it's more expensive to KYC users from Bosnia and remain compliant, maybe they block a lot of accounts from Crimea without explicitly blocking the entire region.
891  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Telegram Group Inc on: March 26, 2020, 03:13:41 AM
What can the SEC or US courts under these circumstances? Can they force US companies such as Amazon (AWS) and Google (GCP) to stop doing business with Telegram which pays for their services?
892  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Localbitcoin Not allowing the Withdraw on: March 26, 2020, 03:04:56 AM
Either way, that list makes no sense, why is Bosnia there? It's a country that is an acknowledged candidate for both NATO and EU, there is now ar going on there...how can you put them on the same level as Yemen or Afghanistan?

Dunno what is going over at LB but they seem to have no plan whatsoever...

https://www.knowyourcountry.com/bosnia1111

Bosnia isn't joining the NATO or the EU anytime soon. It's safe it probably made the list due to corruption or money laundering, politically it's still a mess, the country largely relies on remittances. Another reason why in the past it frequently made similar list due to having EU/USA/UN sanctioned individuals living there and Bosnia not doing enough about them.

894  Other / Meta / Re: Spamming links to blog, copy/pasting articles, moderator' opinion is needed on: March 25, 2020, 10:46:08 PM
It'd be better if that board had a local mod to decide, I'm not sure if any of the admins or Global mods know Croatian/BCMS.

One topic should be moved to the local altcoin child-board, the other look a bit blogspammy... do Croatian local board users see them as spam or is the linked content any good?
895  Other / Meta / Re: Spamming links to blog, copy/pasting articles, moderator' opinion is needed on: March 25, 2020, 09:56:11 PM
What is forum policy regarding users who are creating topic after topic and are either:

1) copy/pasting random articles
2) spamming links to blog

Can you post some examples here?

Copy-pasting without any attribution is usually plagiarizing.

Spam and off-topic content should also be removed.
896  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: March 25, 2020, 09:29:49 PM
You really believe that overall Calvin is making money on this?

Of course, we cannot really see the books or the extent to which he might have to inject new money in order to prop up the price or if he is able to cash out some of his bags based on other retards actually buying BSV and believing that it has some kind of sustainable value in which any of them will be able to get out at a higher price than they had bought into it.

Calvin's expenses would not only be propping up the price of that crapcoin, but mining, court/litigation,  advertising (propaganda-distribution) and various other expenses.

I don't know, maybe he already made as much as it was feasible, and now he just doesn't want to go to prison or lose what he made from this whole scheme. I think time will eventually tell. I'm hoping that we might one day start seeing some leaks from people who were associated with them closely enough to be privy to interesting information.
897  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit Scam Accusation megathread. "Normal" modus operandi or shady practices? on: March 25, 2020, 09:21:48 PM
I was new to crypto , I didnt knew. But still I consider it scam. Cause why is it possible to do this action?
Its a loophole. Cause they can give the money back if they want, cause it has been transfered to them.

Most exchanges will eventually give it back, quite a few will charge hefty fee for their inconvenience but you should still get (most of) the frozen money back. You can pester them everywhere but don't get your hopes up, it's not a trustworthy exchange.
898  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-20] Private Italian Bank Enables Bitcoin Trading To Its 1.2 Million... on: March 25, 2020, 09:14:46 PM
The neobank (hype.it) just partnered with another platform Conio.com so it's like a middleman. Better than nothing but we're still far to see the banks managing by themselves keys, wallets, etc.

1% for every purchase and sale, wow! compared to the 0.20% average we are used to seeing... The Bitcoin adoption has a high price Roll Eyes

That's high compared to a normal exchange, but compared to Coinbase where tons (millions?) of people paid 1.5-4% or more to buy or sell bitcoins, it's not that much to pay for convenience. If we want global adoption it must be easy for people to exchange fiat money for BTC. Exchanges tend to be worse than banks with onerous and time-consuming KYC and verification, and similar nonsense, the less friction there is, the better.
899  Local / Polski / Re: Prawa autorskie do BTC przyznane dla Craig Wright! Czy to jest naprawdę Satoshi? on: March 25, 2020, 09:03:24 PM
PS
