881  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockhain.com, cannot sell bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 07:12:06 PM
By the way I have no idea what KYC or P2P means. I strongly believe that a major drawback of crypto so how f...complicated it is, perhaps not the the IT competent people here but for this to become mainstream it must be so easy my mother can cope. And we are FAR from that. Not impressed with this to be honest. Tried the alternative following the description
https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/
 but simply gave up.:
When installing you only need the Kleopatra component so you can skip the other things included with the software.Download Electrum and also the signature for the file you downloaded. Save both to the same folder.

Run Kleopatra by double clicking on its icon on the desktop. Then click on “lookup on server” on the toolbar and enter Thomas’ GPG public key fingerprint:

There was no choice for "Kleopatra component" no icon for "Kleopatra" created after download, just f...ridiculous. If this is the best these IT can make it's stunning.
Sometimes you need to learn things and try to explore for you to be able to use. As for p2p, anyone who experience of having a transaction/trade/deal in crypto or not knows that. As for KYC every registered financial services ask this, whether in crypto or not.

And for the verifying of electrum, on what part/# you stopped? I see it as easy as 1, 2, 3 though.
882  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: URGENT & BEWARE: Sophisticated Telegram Scammers on: March 14, 2021, 06:56:03 PM
When dealing anyone using telegram always ask the other party to message your bitcointalk profile for confirmation purposes.

People in collectibles section are most veterans in regards of dealing any user new or old ones. So far never seen anyone there got scammed by merely newbie or whatever. Except in goods/digital boards, these section have lots of scammers to be aware of.
883  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Amepay Fake rewards on: March 14, 2021, 06:48:34 PM
So scammer now don't just use bitcoin, eth and other famous coin to scam people using their fake contest/giveaways but using some shitcoins too.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need some suggestions regarding Bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 06:31:45 PM
Since you do it just to trade and gain $ profit, buying at $59k now is crucial imo whether it will reach another ath at $62k but chances are, it will go down again at $50k~ish.

I'd better wait till it drops or do it with higher risk.
885  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Swappa.io Soft Launch / User Base on: March 14, 2021, 05:26:46 PM
It's quite awkward that you exchange is a clone of very many other exchanges. Why should users trust an exchange that's just a clone?

Other look like exchanges;
[...]
Welp, that's really a lot of them. I didn't search further when I saw their terms. And that's an obvious busted.

But wait, if you think you were just a victim of buying this template on cheap price of x marketplace. I suggest you to change everything on your website, promote your site, or even have a free vouch on this community. But that won't change the fact that you just copied the whole terms, I might say even the privacy policy of a scam website. And probably do things with zero effort to scam I mean to make such service.
886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Swappa.io Soft Launch / User Base on: March 14, 2021, 04:38:26 PM
Did you just copied the whole terms of ChangeNow.io?

Or its another website of the owner of changenow? which has lots of scam accusation and accused of illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins).

Archive swappa terms: https://archive.is/ZphMA
Archive changenow terms: https://archive.is/2YtGE

You can make some previous twitter campaigns as your reference for payment structure only if you like.

1000-2499 Followers 2$ in btc/week
2500-4999 4$ in btc/week
5000+ 8$ in btc/week
Though you can adjust the rate a bit since it's a weekly work. Good luck.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk again on: March 13, 2021, 05:27:57 PM
Bitcoin is not a company,so he is making a reference about a company we don't know. Grin
Maybe he is talking about his companies-Tesla and SpaceX.
That's the name of one of his companies (The Boring Company), and you and everyone here must know about it from the most influenced meme person/troll on CT.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invested in alt in 2017 ..and now need help to dont do same mistake on: March 13, 2021, 04:43:07 PM
Check
- BNB, ath at $330, currently at $260
- DOT, ath at $38, currently at $36

BNB is my life saver in CRYPTO so i will keep 12%  of my portfolio for him ..without him , i will not have portfolio ...plus i love the exchance binance and i saw few interviews of CZ and i love his future planning
Anyone who's holding BNB will continue to get profit. Ignore those bitcoin maximalist and don't hold for long like 5-10years, not unless your financially independent, and you should balance and diverse your funds at least those coins in top 10 on cmc.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invested in alt in 2017 ..and now need help to dont do same mistake on: March 13, 2021, 09:18:46 AM
I would only suggest invest alts that are in the top 10 on CMC.

Check
- BNB, ath at $330, currently at $260
- DOT, ath at $38, currently at $36

These 2 are new in the top 10 list and have huge potentials.

Not a fan of ETH but you can try it as well, probably it will go back 2k, currently at 1.7k.

Yet, don't forget BTC, $60k is inevitable with its current price, just hold at least 6 months.
892  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk bug? on: March 13, 2021, 08:46:00 AM
So Peanutswar, do you also have Grammarly installed?
Yes, from what I observed on the .gif he posted on OP that "[grammarly_logo] no definition available" after double-clicking his username, that's why I tried it with Grammarly installed.
893  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk bug? on: March 12, 2021, 06:14:23 PM
Weird, I found out that this  error will only occur in some username/profile or I say words, if and only if you on/check grammarly's writing suggestions and definitions/synonyms.
I tried it to op's profile page, crwth, hilariousandco and michellee and it shows like what op encountered, while on my profile page don't.
But if you off this feature of grammarly it won't show. It's probably because grammarly adding extra html code when this extension is installed and enabled.

This error only occurs on brave, chrome, and edge, probably to all chromium-based browsers since it wont show on firefox even with Grammarly installed.

Edit: it occurs to any profile page who posted above this except sfr10 and mine maybe because there's a number on our username.
894  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally deposited USDT to ETH wallet on: March 12, 2021, 06:49:30 AM
You have the same case with this user posted on reddit 4 months ago, even the amount is huge as $23k, Gemini didn't recover it even though they can, technically.

I can only say sorry for the loss and I hope the amount lost from you isn't big enough.
895  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] [SOLD] Ledger Nano S Zen Protocol *Limited Edition on: March 12, 2021, 03:37:18 AM
The item is sold. Locking this thread now.
896  Economy / Services / Re: We need ads/pr on crypto websites on: March 11, 2021, 06:44:38 AM
Found something here [PUBLICATION SERVICE] WW's SERVICEs- Your article/ads in all top media outlets! by wwzsocki. Feel free to check the thread and/or pm him/er.

I'm not related to the service I just see it as what you need.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 10, 2021, 07:57:20 PM
If you have lots of spare, enough budget for a year or more, I would say keep hodling for another year.

But if you really need it just now then that's okay to sell after all you gained much profit from it.
898  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning! Don't use exchange.blockchain.com on: March 10, 2021, 01:08:47 PM
Anyway. I have now received my money. So I want to state that I no longer consider exchange.blockchain.com fradulent. It was a bit stressful and inconvenient, though. My key takeaway from the experience is "Not your keys, not your coins.". In the future I will do whatever I can to avoid custodial services.
Good thing, though frozen balance in 3 months is absolutely terrible experience using such platform.

I would suggest to use other alternatives such binance through their p2p, or their deposit using fiat (only if your country's currency is accepted) instead of using their service.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are no real coins in bitcoin on: March 09, 2021, 04:52:08 PM
Yes, that's bitcoin for you.

After all, balance in your bank is just a number. Fiat is just a paper.
900  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning! Don't use exchange.blockchain.com on: March 09, 2021, 02:59:09 PM
Also this isn't the correct board, must move to Service discussion or Exchanges board

Sure, but how do I move a thread? I don't see any option for that. Do you mean I should delete it and create a new thread?
There's a control lower left of this thread, a "move topic" button.
