881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Remember $4,300 this is one of your last chance to get cheap coin on: August 14, 2017, 08:04:33 PM
You might not see prices this low ever again, remember $4,300.  Likely the last time you see cheap Bitcoin.

Read around here in late 2013. Of course things are radically different since then, but human nature isn't.

In my experience when you read 'we will never see x price again' x price comes back a few hours later and then a few weeks later people are pining for it.

The earlier we all understand that it might not continue like this the better and my concerns is for someone who because of the current scenario decide to put more than what he can afford, then I feel pity for such individual in that in as much that we are happy about the trend of events, we should also not be unmindful of the uncertainties that abound in this our crypto space.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 14, 2017, 06:28:40 PM
Bitcoin Cash is an altcoin, that is getting no support at all by no one beside its creators. This is what we can call a big fail. Being an altcoin, I see no reason to compare them...

To those comparing the two, they know what they saw and they also know the basis for such conclusion but for me, I have not even claimed my own BCC with all the paparazzi and I am not sure I will but it seems the popularity of BCH or BCC is just for a while and after the week of August 1, it just seems everyone decides to close the chapter on the controversy but I wish it will succeed so that doubters would at least know they are wrong on this one.

1btc per month with what the price is saying, I am not saying its not possible but one thing that is sure is that its not going to be cheap to get. So, for everyone interested, get ready to give more than just your posts or some conditions to be met aside that. But it will do more good if op will just come out straight and put the conditions here so people will know what they are planning to go into. My opinion though.

885  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] PicoStash - Host and sell files for BTC/LTC/DASH on: August 07, 2017, 02:30:19 PM
There are many such sites coming up every day and being announced here in bitcointalk.
To get users, particularly buyers you will need a continuous campaign across the forum by means of bounties and signature campaign, without which the site cannot self sustain.

I am sure this is something that has been implemented. In this current round of campaign there is even an opening to include boards on the Altcoin section of the forum in other to reach more potential clients and users.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: August 06, 2017, 11:21:01 AM
If there is any decision I regretted more than anything else, its this because I and seen something about bitcoin a year earlier but I was too lazy to even ask about it or even Google about it and maybe something would have led me to the forum and get more understanding which I am sure would have been the best decision till date but unfortunately I didn't take it serious but still appreciative that I still find my way to the light after all.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You SATISFIED With AUGUST 1? on: August 06, 2017, 10:18:46 AM
Sooooooo my friends... here we go...

August 1, and 2, are now coming to an end!

Are you satisfied?

Have you increased your BTC holdings?

I didn't listen to the suggestions of moving BTC to my own wallet. Felt bad.

Had BTC in Bittrex, got $10000 free today!

Yes, $10k free. Sold BCC near $1000 / BCH.

OH MAN.

But tbh I really feel bad someone bought this.

Good for you to have made such inflow within the few days after August 1 but its a one time thing which you have benefited from and took advantage of it. For me, I have not claim my BCC to claim the free money as you alluded but so far I am contended with it so far because I carried out a transaction with a low fee and it confirmed within a reasonable time. That's a fulfillment to me and the August 1 was not a waste.
888  Economy / Lending / Re: need loan for my travel and tour business on: August 06, 2017, 07:58:15 AM
i need 1 BTC loan for my travel and tour business. lets talk about the interest Smiley

Whatever you need it for is none of anybody business so far you have the basic which is the collateral that is worth 120% of the loan you seeking which in this Case its obvious you don't have then I say you have successfully increase your post count and you might even earn  additional red trust as a result of that. Congrats for is that feat achieved.
889  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How Bitmain Scammed Me For 10000$ on: August 05, 2017, 09:26:45 PM
It seems all this big names in the cryto industry have planned to always take customers complains for granted immediately they notice some anomaly they see that as a means to absolve themselves from responsibility and because the amount involved is small compared to what they handle. No matter what happen, his on earth will someone keep client waiting for 10/days without a response? Twitter is where I would go to next.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker tells Bitcoin creator, 'You are not safe. Get out.' on: August 05, 2017, 08:54:32 PM
I don't know when the drama about this Satoshi true identity will ever end as we have seen several people claiming to be him all in the sake of seeking relevance and to be in the news. Yet they continue to meet a dead end at every point of their discovery and I still believe this is another one that will end in that direction also for another news to hit the airwaves again.

Someone has taken over the email account belonging to the inventor of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, the fabled Satoshi Nakamoto. The email account is the very same one used to publish Bitcoin's original whitepaper, the document that became both its mission statement and its technical foundation.

One year ago Polygon embarked on a quest to find Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. We weren't the first, nor were we the last.

Most recently, Newsweek seemed sure that they'd found Nakamoto, a quiet man hiding in plain sight just outside Los Angeles. But their story didn't stick. The man they pointed the finger at, Dorian Nakamoto, says it's not him.

"I did not create, invent or otherwise work on Bitcoin," Dorian said through an attorney. "I unconditionally deny the Newsweek report."

So, the internet went about trying to find Nakamoto the old fashioned way; by hacking into his personal email account and stealing his private information.

Wired reports that someone calling themselves "Jeffrey" has performed the hack. Inside the email account he has found information that could lead to revealing Nakamoto's true identity. To spice things up, Jeffrey says that he will release the information for 25 Bitcoins, about $12,000 at the going rate.

Wired wasn't able to determine how Jeffrey broke into Nakamoto's account, nor were they able to get much information out of him. But the email address in question had been largely dormant since 2010, when Nakamoto went underground. Monday that address was used to post a message on a cryptocurrency forum.

"Dear Satoshi," reads the post. "Your dox, passwords and IP addresses are being sold on the darknet. Apparently you didn't configure Tor properly and your IP leaked when you used your email account sometime in 2010. You are not safe. You need to get out of where you are as soon as possible before these people harm you. Thank you for inventing Bitcoin."

The only first-hand verification of the hack comes from Michael Marquardt, a member of the Bitcointalk.org forum. He sent Nakamoto some emails in March of 2014. Marquardt says that Jeffrey shared with him excerpts of those emails, and the only way he could have gotten them is from inside the encrypted account.

"I'm pretty sure," Marquardt said, "that this is just some troll in it for the laughs."
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase the Bitcoin Dumpster on: August 05, 2017, 07:44:32 PM
It seems as big as coinbase is, they are letting it enter their heads by not giving regards to customers complain until they are called out on a massive user based platform like Twitter and other means. This is definitely bad for business and I feel it boils back to not keep too much of your funds on exchange sites because with that you can switch quickly to another service provider rather than being stuck with them due to the amount of funds involved.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase Faces Backlash, Legal Risk Over Bitcoin Cash on: August 04, 2017, 08:35:21 PM
Someone woke up and realised the shitcoin is worth alot of money after all. hahahaha This is some dumb shit. Grin Grin

http://fortune.com/2017/07/31/bitcoin-fork-coinbase/

The world's most popular digital currency exchange, Coinbase, is under fire from angry customers over its decision not to support a new version of bitcoin that could also make it vulnerable to "ruinous legal trouble," according to a prominent legal scholar.
Coinbase's headaches are tied to a breakaway faction of bitcoin miners, who are responsible both for generating new coins and for the software called blockchain that is used to record transactions. On August 1, the miners will implement a software update that will create a so-called "fork" and result in two versions of the bitcoin blockchain—and two forms of the currency as well.
The creation of the new currency means every existing bitcoin holder is entitled to an equal amount of what the breakaway miners call "Bitcoin Cash." Coinbase's decision against supporting the new version, however, means its customers will not receive this benefit.
This is significant because the new Bitcoin Cash is expected to be worth real money. As of July 31, futures markets predict a unit of the new currency will be worth hundreds of dollars.
This has led customers to post angry messages on Coinbase message boards, accusing the company of stealing their property and threatening class action lawsuits.
Such a lawsuit may not be far-fetched, according to Tim Wu, a prominent legal scholar who writes extensively about technology. In a series of tweets, he likened Coinbase's decision to a broker withholding shares from its customers.

I dont see anyway how Coinbase will be held liable in this kind of action because I believe they would have issued a statement in that regards concerning their position for not supporting the BCC and no client of them can force them to offer the services they are not offering. You owe it as a responsibility to yourself to move your coin out of sites not supporting BCC before the fork because you have been notified and no one should be held responsible for your inactions. But from recent news, it seems they are caving in.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fastest way to Dump BCC tomorrow at 12:20pm UTC? Timing is important on: August 04, 2017, 06:18:57 PM
Im worried that by the time I log into my wallet, send BCC to an exchange, log into exchange etc. that BCC may already reach $0 value meaning I was too late to dump so might as well hold right? No point selling it for pennies.

So whats the fastest way to dump bcc, whats everybody's plans?

Also do we have to split BCC from BTC first in our wallets which means even more precious time consumed correct?

I am sure OP is trying to make fun of the whole process but dont worry yourself there is too much time to decide and the future is long enough for everyone to feature into. So, for me, I dont even have any BCC so not many people will be dumping at the same time and for you, I guess you need to be careful because the promoters behind BCC also knows what might happen in few hours and they might want to do something against it that those who dump first might have to buy high later by the time the pumping is unstoppable then it burst making you go at a loss eventually.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope BCH will be pumped so I can get rid of it and stick to the real BTC on: August 04, 2017, 03:59:00 PM
Your intentions is equally like every other person who never supported the idea in the first place and for those who already dumped theirs good for you and now at the rock bottom its quite impossible. But I feel there is still more to this coin in the sense that the promoters knew the feel in the community about this yet they still go ahead with it. I feel at one point, everyone will be dragged by its greed to make money and trade this coin by the time the margin between pump and dump is so high after all, its like every other coin and before you know, its goes far and above every other alt you have there and that's a huge success on their part. I mean the promoters.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I loss my money (USDT > BTC) help me please on: August 04, 2017, 12:52:10 PM
From your posts, it seems you are not a native English speaker and based on my understanding I think its either of two ways. Poloniex is one with some creditbily in which I doubt they would scam based on that amount but the recipient address is one I have not heard and if you would post the transaction and check if the intended address is actually the one you sent the funds to and confirmed, then the recipient address is where the issue is coming from.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So everyone tells you to take your Bitcoins off the exchange before the fork!! on: August 04, 2017, 09:23:26 AM
Well I am starting to think this was the crappiest piece of advice you could give! Again more paranoia about exchanges that probably will just cost me money. If I had left my coins in Kraken I would have had the equivalent in Bitcoin Cash almost immediately and I could have traded them for Bitcoin when they were 727 USD. Instead I have them stuck in a paper wallet with no real idea on how to safely sweep my Bitcoin (let alone my Bitcoin Cash) into an online wallet. So can anyone tell me if there is a process for getting both your Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash out of these paper wallets. And PLEASE no comments that are only partial in the answer. I need (plus many millions of others no doubt) on a foolproof process to get the coins out along with a wallet that can do this.

Aside from the issue of fork, there is always a generally awareness to keep large of your funds where you can control and its because the exchange sites are mostly subject to attacks which no one know when it will be successful and in the build up to the fork period, it became more important to be more careful to avoid stories that touch. For your BCC, you are sure to get it one way or the other in due time and could even fetch you more eventually.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Reverses – Plans to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018 on: August 04, 2017, 07:45:08 AM
Coinbase didn't reverse its decision rather they are using what I termed delay tactics because I feel of the law suits hanging over their head that I read some days back and they feel let's use time factor to extend such pressure by using that as a means to put their system in place for the implementation and test the acceptability of the coin before January which is enough time to  determine whether the coin will stand the test of time or not but its going to a massive breakthrough if Coin base came on board.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges decision to support Bcash might backfire now on: August 04, 2017, 07:18:50 AM
Why would you want to support a new Alt coin, if you know people will only be hyping/pumping the price in the beginning and other people will be dumping it for BTC and Fiat? This will have a significant impact on your bank balance, when you allow trades during this "Pump" period.

Yes, you might get the advantage that new users will join your exchange, because you are the only exchange accepting Bcash trades, but those users will leave once they dumped their Bcash for cash or BTC.

If I were a exchange owner, I would just sit back and wait for other exchanges to take the knock and jump in later when the price is much lower. < Like Coinbase is doing >

It makes no sense to be a early adopter of a coin that are pumped to shit in the early days. ^hmmmmm^

Your argument is right but at the same time you cannot predict the nature of what the market will do to a particular coin and that's because in the cause of pump and dump, the exchange site will gain more customers which means more revenue in terms of charges they levy on them and like I said, one cannot predict but with time it might get accepted and don't forget that the coin will be riding on bitcoin popularity.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you do something while you gamble? If so, what? on: August 04, 2017, 06:11:17 AM
When I get to gamble, I do other productive things and its because I engage mostly in sports gambling so there is nothing I can do to influence the game and even my concentration and commitment won't make any difference so I invest the waiting time in other things that would bring in more money to me other than putting myself under unnecessary pressure.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: my new sport diary with bitcoin bets to double a 1 BTC bank on: August 03, 2017, 08:11:00 PM
After going through the update on the front page, I must say I appreciate your sincerity but truth be told you have lost quite an amount in which I feel you really need to do more on your analysis and even the games you play on. From 1 btc down to 0.2+ is a big fall in which you need to win four times as much as you lose to even move close to being back at the initial point you started from. Either way, I wish you all the best in your gambling endeavours.
