Hi Patrike,

something is wrong with the QKC calculation.

Example:

AM says around 100 coins and around 0,45€ a day at 24.3mh
Whattomine says around 42 coins and 0,21€ a day at 24.3mh

And a 3 day test brings out 40 coins a day.

Same Ycash

AM says with 8 H/s around 92€ daily

I setup Ycash as new coin by myself and there i get the right result
8 H/s and 0,27€

Verushash has wrong block reward (down to 12 from 24). Are your Coin properties dynamic or static and you change everything by yourself?
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Log minerīs uptime Win10 on: January 04, 2021, 09:48:57 AM
that would work. but I start / stop it several times a day. I would love to see a solution that calculates the uptime automatically, without manual adding the times.
I could write start and stop times into a txt file and then automate the calculation of week / monthly uptime...but Iīm not a programmer, I cant do a small program by myself, thatīs why I asked if thereīs some solution thatīs already available.

awesomeminer logs the total uptime and you can show the total per month. but ONLY for the payed version of awesomeminer.
the pool logs uptime for each miner, but you can only show charts when your miners are online, you have no addition of the total uptime.

argl...

Use Awesomeminer for example. It is free for 2 PCīs and you can see the mining history. There you can see how many % it mines a day, a week and many more things.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I am in need of your advise about the realistic ROI on my first mining project! on: January 03, 2021, 05:58:43 PM
Hi! I am M1rage and I'm new on this forum.

I trade stocks for a while now, but in addition to that I would very much like to start a mining project. For fun and of course for some ROI. I'm based in Amsterdam, so electricity is expensive here with €0.23 per kWh.

My current thoughts are to build or buy a mining rig with the goal to break-even after 1 year and ultimately to make a little profit after that. My budget to invest is between €3k - €5k. I have very little knowledge about mining, but some knowledge about gaming rigs. I am learning at the moment and I hope to learn more from your opinions and advice.

Right now I've learnt about the basic elements: ASIC's vs. GPU rigs, the current high price of new GPU's, my high electricity price, the risk of POW changing into POS etc.

I am still open to all kinds of options. But my main question is: Do you think my goal of breaking even in 1 year is realistic at this time? If yes, what would you do if you were in my situation?

I would love to hear your unsalted opinion and/or advises!

To much electricity price. ETH brings much at the moment, but for how long.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Biostar TB250-BTC more than 6 GPUs on: December 31, 2020, 06:54:26 PM
Has anyone tried using this board with a PCI-E Splitter, the one that splits from 1 to 4?
I know that it can do 7, using an M.2 adapter, but what about 8 or more GPUs?
Searching around the net, I find results only about the PRO version which comes with 12 slots.

Buy new board. A ASROCK H110 BTC+ cost in sell around 50€ in germany for example.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 28, 2020, 07:17:21 AM
Hi Patrike, i try to realise scenario with rules where after mining start and after 30 sec. for the selected miner will be applyed other clocking profile (increasing of memory clock)
With trigers what AM now have, this is imposible. AM not have a "countdown timer" triger, which can be started only one time. And next feature, what can be very useful for rules is some predefined action to check what a algo will be mined at the moment.
With all this suggestion, user can realise a functionality like in RaveOS now, where overclocking can be changed after miner start and after specific time.
New 3060TI GPU allow stable mining with much bigger memory overclocking as starting values, but increasing of clock speed must be done in small steps after miner start.
Regards and best wiches in New Year.

You can set a time to wait in rules in the action section. So set 1. action wait 30 sec and 2. action apply gpu oc profile.
And you can also set the trigger Mining uptime greather than 2min for example. There are many more ways, but not so user friendly like in HiveOS or RavenOS.

So I am agree it is much better to set the Apply GPU OC Profile per miner in the GPU OC Profile section maybe.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5 gpu problem at the same time on: December 26, 2020, 05:03:10 PM
So at all the solution is change OS? I think it is better to find the failure and not change OS  Huh
I use Win10 (I use Linux also) for over 3 years on 30 rigs and i have found solutions for all issues but at the end i didnīt have much issues.

For me the better Mining Platform is Windows10, more flexible, more user friendly and so on.
But i think, to learn and understand mining is the best solution, if you understand it, than it is no problem to find the failure.

And by the way, this is not a OS problem i think. Have you tested every single GPU alone? Did you change the riser?

I dont think its flashed, hard to remember which ones i flashed and not. Anyhow these sapphire cards have dual bios so i tried to switch but results seems to be the same around 7 sols .

Ravencoin and ETC seems to work just fine at standard hashrates hence why i was abit thoughtful about the beam hashrate i was getting.

Yes something is wrong. I get 7 - 8 sols with a RX560 (1200 gpu / 2100 mem) and around 16 sols with a RX470 4GB (1150 gpu / 2050 mem). What hashrates you have on ETC and Raven?

I will write the latest information from the telegram (this information may be rumors !!)

ASIC name: LINZHI Phoenix E2600M
Price: RMB 84,000 (12840 dollars)
Sales date: March - April 2021

Follow the information on the Internet, or do you think this video is fake?

This is fake, you will see it. Or you see a link in the video to the manufacturer page or something else? Telegram informations make it real for you?
I follow the information on the internet and i find nothing!
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asic LINZHI 2600 Mh/s on: December 20, 2020, 11:26:16 PM
Why would they sell them if they exist?

Why not? If they sell it for horrible prices like bitmain and other ASIC manufacturer do.
Innosilicon Ethash miner cost over 5000$.
Bitmain Cryptonight Asic first batch cost over 10000$ and never touch the roi.

If they sell them, they get this money now, and not over time. Not so risky for the manufacturer.

It makes sense to sell it.
But we know this one is no real.

971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on P104-100 Nvidia GPUs? on: December 20, 2020, 06:50:22 PM
Isn't the vram of graphic cards the most important part of mining? Since 4gb vram is locked this doesn't make the card better but downgraded meaning it will perform worse than a gtx1070 or gtx1080, if you have a way to unlock the remaining 4gb vram kindly drop me a tutorial
Just flash BIOS. Search your model at techpowerup, unverified versions, choose 8GB, download and flash. Dont forget to save your own version firstly.
Usually BIOS version is 86.04.7A.00.19.

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=Uploads&manufacturer=&model=P104-100&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since=
Wow I don't know that one can unlock the extra 4gb vram of P104 graphic card, but this card have no video output, how can one flash bios without display on screen? Vga from motherboard won't work with GPU connected to PCIe slot

It work, you must change in bios to igpu.

Anyone got any P104's running?  The Nvidia 1080 type card with no video outputs?

I've seen lots of P106's in farms, the 1060 type card but I haven't seen many P104s.  I have a chance to get some at a good price.
Who told you that P104 performance is like 1080? That's wrong information mate, P104 is just like gtx 1070 with lower power because of 4gb VRAM, it's capable of 36MH when mining Ethereum and presently more profitable on Veil coin

What?
P104 is a hybrid of 1070 and 1080. Shaders from 1070 and Vram from 1080. Or you have ever seen a 1070 with over 40mh? I think no  Roll Eyes
And the cards has 8GB vram, 4GB are deactivated  Roll Eyes

Compare the technical specs lol

Not at all, Memory Bit Width also important and the mem speed. The P104-100 use GDDR5X and has memory bandwidth 320.3 GB/s. and the gtx 1070 use GDDR5 and has only 256.3 GB/s. So you see the difference? Next time please check the specs by yourself and donīt tell wrong information.
I have enough P104-100 unlocked to 8GB and running with 38mh at the moment (slowdown with every new dag epoch like all pascal GPUīs) Do you have one? You have tried? I donīt  think so.

You see it? Or i am stupid and i am the only people who see around 38mh, and see more memory bandwith as a gtx 1070? But yes the p104 made for mining, is worse than a gtx 1070.  Roll Eyes

How to find in this forum.

Hi Patrike,

here is a screenshot:

You see the balance is completly wrong calculated, but not all the the time, sometimes it is correct. No new bug, this is happens since pool balance update.

Thanks Patrike for the new update, the graph is a new update i have been waiting for, i love it. helpful to find some failures and so on. Do you plan to improve this feature in the future? I have some ideas  Cheesy
And maybe a graph for diff, price and hashrate from coins in the coinstab.

I also have problem with temp reading of my Antminer T17 with custom firmware, but temps show in same way as the original firmware.
Thanks for the screenshot. I will try to reproduce this.

Thanks for the feedback on the graph as well. Next I think there will be revenue and profit as well. Thanks for the suggestion about coin graphs as well.

Can you please send me the API Report for this Antminer (via PM or mail)? Please also let me know the name of the firmware. Even if the API is compatible with Antminer T17, it might be that this miner identifies it differently, and then Awesome Miner doesn't process it like an Antminer T17 with Bitmain firmware.

Sure i will send via PM later. Software is from Asicfw, i think you know this software  Cheesy

Timestamps in the graph would be nice, if we go with the cursor over the graph to see hashrate, time, temp. Or the option to see every single gpu/device with its own temp and hashrate.

PhoenixMiner 5.4c is officially released. You can find the download link and the checksums in the first post of this thread.

It is the same release as the one that was posted yesterday, so if you are already running it, there is no need to upgrade.

Any support or you go the same way like claymore and ignore any questions?

can someone explain me why all update their driver if a new came out? Any reason? I see no reason? Donīt update, you get no more hashrate with new drivers.

The changes in this release (since 5.4b) include the following:

  • Added support for DAG epochs up to 500
  • Fixed crash (or GPUs not detected error) when using the latest Windows Nvidia drivers 460.79 and 460.89
  • Validated support for Nvidia RTX 3090, 3080, 3070, and 3060Ti GPUs. Those still use the current kernels and there are no speed increases from the previous PhoenixMiner release
  • Add support for the older AMD Linux driver 19.50-1011208-ubuntu-18.04 (used by some Linux mining OSes and other software)
  • Added new kernels to allow mining on AMD Hawaii cards (R9 390, etc.) with the current and future DAG epochs (even with DAG buffer above 4GB for the 8GB cards). Note that the AMD Windows drivers do not support compute mode for Hawaii cards, so the hashrate will be quite low (14-15 MH/s with the current ETH DAG epoch). This problem is fixed under Linux, where you can get the full 29-30 MH/s speed out of the Hawaii cards.

The changes of the previous beta (5.4b) since the last version (5.3b) are:

  • New kernels for AMD Vega and Navi GPUs that are slightly faster when the DAG buffer is approaching or passing 4GB in size (the current ETH DAG is close to 4GB). To use these new kernels, you need to use drivers 20.5.1 or later under Win10, or 20.10.x or later under Linux
  • Automatic re-running auto-tune as needed when switching to a different DAG buffer type (e.g. when switching from ETH to ETC, or back)
  • Added support for the latest AMD Windows 10 drivers 20.12.1 and 20.11.3
  • Fixed crash when trying to set -mvddc on very old AMD drivers (including the beta blockchain drivers from 2017)
  • Other small fixes and improvements

Some notes on the best (or at least some of the better) drivers for AMD cards:
  • If you have 6GB or 8GB card that is at least Polaris (i.e. 470/480/570/580, Vega, Radeon VII, Navi), you should run at least driver 20.5.1 under Windows 10, or driver 20.10.x under Linux.
  • If you have 4GB Polaris card (i.e. 470/480/570/580), ideally you should also run drivers 20.5.1 or later. At the very least the drivers should be either 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), or 19.12.2 and later. Under Linux, drivers 19.x.x or 20.x.x should be OK for 4GB cards.
  • Avoid using the 20.40.x, and 20.45.x drivers under Linux.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.4c

Hello Phönixminer, please add worker to etc hash, we canīt set worker name in etc hash. Asked 2 times in the past.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 19, 2020, 11:57:14 AM
Hi Patrike,

i have many problems with new mining software, the download needs to much time. If i download normal in browser it needs 1 sec, if i start to download it over AM, it needs up to 1 hour sometimes to start it again. Mostly at srbminer multi, T-Rex or Teamredminer for me. But this happens sometimes, not every time i tried. So i canīt reproduce this  Huh
Hi,
Can you please check the Remote Agent log file and verify that it's the actual download operation that takes time, or something else?
When a download is initiated you will see "Downloading file". Example:
2020-12-11 10:39:31.691 [008] []Downloading file: https://github.com/trexminer/T-Rex/releases/download/0.19.3/t-rex-0.19.3-win-cuda11.1.zip?u=67792375

As you can see, Remote Agent adds a random parameter (?u=67792375) to the URL, to prevent any caching. If you make a download speed test via the web browser to compare the speed, please add something similar to avoid caching.

When a download has completed, you will see "Download done". Example:
2020-12-11 10:39:42.238 [008] []Download done: C:\Users\test\AppData\Roaming\AwesomeMinerService\t-rex-0.19.3-win-cuda11.1.zip

In this example it was a 10.5 second download for 22MB. Do you see very a very long duration between these two log lines?

What I can see from time to time is when a new mining software version is released, it typically results in slower download speeds when many users are hitting the Github download sources.

Hi Patrike,

if i checked many scenarios and i add random parameter to my download in browser. Sometimes it download normal and sometimes it slowdown to 1kb/s. But i think this is problem with github or other hosters. So i think all ok at the moment.

Can you take a look in Nanominer and verushash? Can you add it to the standard definition. I added it manually, but i canīt see cpu temp, hashrate is only show in performance colume, nothing in cpu or gpu tab. And W/h is not shown for CPU and Nanominer.

Another bug:

Poolbalance Nanopool XMR -> Balance 0,66 xmr -> Balance in Euro 116000€ for example

I think there is a problem in calculating the right Balance in €/$. But sometimes, it show the real Balance in €/$.
Thanks for all feedback.

I've added Nanominer VerusHash and also made sure it's correctly reported for CPU mining. The API doesn't report per-core hashrate, so it will show up as a single CPU device. You will be able to see the temperature. This will be in included in the next release, planned for tomorrow.

I wasn't able to reproduce the balance issue. Is it the top level "Nanopool" line where it's incorrect or is it also incorrect if you expand the sub nodes and look at each wallet address?

Hi Patrike,

here is a screenshot:

You see the balance is completly wrong calculated, but not all the the time, sometimes it is correct. No new bug, this is happens since pool balance update.

Other cards is not showing in my mining rig only one GPU that I see under "device manager"
I tried to install latest version of nVidia I'm getting error that the driver version that I download is not compatible to my current OS.

My current OS is Windows 10 enterprise.

Do you think switching to windows 10 pro will work to run 6 GPU with different nVidia models?
Or do I need to set something on the Bios like switching pcie to gen 2.0?

Actually I already tried to set and follow some guides from youtube but the other cards is not showing on device manager.
So maybe there is a problem about the driver and the OS.
The current version of the driver installed on my rig is 3xx something and the latest version is above 4xx.

Could you recommend a Windows 10 version which one can run 6 GPU?

Makes no difference, every windows10 version can handle all combinations of gpuīs. I think you have the wrong nvidia driver version, maybe the "dch" version.

Try this version https://www.nvidia.de/download/driverResults.aspx/167186/de
