961  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Strategies to Face the Next Crisis on: July 07, 2020, 11:53:48 PM
Stop spending money for unnecessary things and act as if the only money you have is only available for primary needs like food and other necessities even though you really have the money to buy more than that. Save as much as you can or better invest to something with a guarantee of return in order to make a profit out of it.

This is the best we can do in order to help but there are those people that either have enough money to spend for their family or doesn't have enough. The government should always be ready in these kinds of problems but they are used to face social and other problems and most of the time they make wrong decisions.

While rich people are swimming with alcohol and toilet papers, most of the people are struggling to get some of it. Saving money is not enough since you will still be using that if time comes. Why not put that money in something that could generate profit in the long run so you will not just rely on your salary to save, you can save and at the same time, you have an investment.
962  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: July 07, 2020, 10:24:04 PM
Tax is good but if the governments are ready to capitalize cryptocurrency and take taxes on transactions then it must be ready to be transparent on the where exactly the taxes go and into whose hands. The government must be accountable for that. This can only be achieve by the same utilization of Blockchain technology by the government.

Then I guess to be able to do that government will be assigning each citizen their own wallet and indicate each who is the owner. At that point, there will be no confusion about who owns a wallet. Still, there are jobs where the government will  take the tax from their salary that is directed to their ATM cards, maybe we can do that the same as taxing into crypto currencies.

If Bitcoin is controlled by the government we will be ready to pay taxes on crypto but since crypto is decentralized there is no charge for work here. However, in the case of card management crypto cards are ready to pay tax.

Well, they can't really control bitcoin that is why they will just decide to put a tax on it or ban it in which I am sire that they will be putting a tax on it. They will be having an additional way of taxing people and the problem here comes with how to tax a decentralized crypto currency, that is why I thought they might indicate each person with their own wallets where the government would get a tax from. Still, people can evade that.
963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson plans about Bitcoin achieved on: July 07, 2020, 09:44:27 PM
If you need a lesson plan, I will suggest you check out some books on cryptocurrencies. Also depend on the level of understanding of the student you are taking will give you idea of what you are to put up as topic. Introducing the underlying technology which is the blockchain should be the first topic to consider then you can start to broaden the technology as sub topics. For this, I will suggest a book titled "The Basics of Bitcoins and Blockchains: An Introduction to Cryptocurrencies and the Technology that Powers Them' by Antony Lewis.

That is a good suggestion so that students would be able to read more thing ls and not just depend on what he says in the class althouhh based on the OP I don't think they will get that deeper. I guess his goal is to give some knowledge about bitcoin and its uses, most of the people that will go to that class are those that don't know or doesn't have that knowledge.

I guess the technology behind it is a little bit overboard and it might be a new curriculum for him to teach. But since it is just an introduction to it, he could suggest that book and just make his students read the other part that can't be discussed in the class.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need an addition of a safety feature? User friendly? on: July 07, 2020, 01:59:12 PM
I don't think bitcoin needed to add a safety feature. It is the user that needs to be careful against hacks and scams since they are the most vulnerable part of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not that prone to hackers, it is our account that is vulnerable to those scams. Sometimes, we can't blame ourselves because we are just an investor, but the reality that we are the one who's accountable with our safety makes us more aware about those scams. Maybe we just need to become more careful and improve our security once we perform transactions.

Hacks and scams are always there and you can't eliminate them from doing that kind of things.

The only thing that we can prevent being a victim of those crimes is that to improve our own security and become aware every time we enter a certain site. Especially doing some research about a certain platform will also do.

That's what I'm saying. Users, investors, the traders are the ones vulnerable to hacks and scams. From not having that much knowledge in securing his wallet or maybe from biting into words these scammers are saying. If they just know how it works they will be able to avoid being scammed or being hacked. These users are the ones responsible for the accounts he has, if he's scammed and hacked, we can't really blame these hackers and scammers from doing that, it is just that they are prone to be hacked and being scammed because he's not being careful.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luckyfish accepting kids on: July 07, 2020, 01:04:49 PM
With or without a license, I guess we should be really responsible for our children. These sites can't always find a way to stop minors from going in and out of their site unless they use KYC which might make their gamblers decline. All you can do now is talk to your son, ask him what gave him the idea to gamble without knowing the consequence of it. I know that every parent is not perfect but at least you know now and you still have that chance to talk to him.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 07, 2020, 12:14:16 PM
Many have already thought that this would happen sooner,

It's their only way to recover their economy and nothing more. Even in other countries, they did the same as they already started to open casinos to save their economy. They just implement a protocol to at least prevent the spread of the virus, like social distancing and sanitation, etc.

Las Vegas is known for this place, this would boost their lost economy since they stopped functioning. This is understandable and countries should start slowly opening stores or businesses that would do the same with Las Vegas. Another thing is that developed transportation should also be a thing since we will be slowly turning to new normal days, transportation should be developed and be improved.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Potential Valorant Esports betting sites on: July 07, 2020, 01:25:00 AM
Valorant is a game that have attracted a lot of people in their community.
However, the community is still small.
If the community is not going to be bigger then there will be no betting activity for Valorant from the book makers.

I don't know where are you looking but the community of it is actually growing quickly. The game itself can be played in not that powerful PCs so it will be quickly adapted by gamers all over the world. It is one of the most-streamed games right now on Twitch and I doubt that this community is still small. There is no doubt that it will be added to betting sites.

969  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 06, 2020, 01:03:00 PM
I think this is the reason why we call or usually say that bitcoin is the most liquid of all crypto currencies. I guess it is not that they don't want it but I guess they tend to hold it or maybe they are using other things with it like trading with other crypto currencies as well. Maybe they are waiting for certain time or maybe they don't really have that many altcoins to use it as payment.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need an addition of a safety feature? User friendly? on: July 06, 2020, 11:54:44 AM
The government has their own ways of tracking hackers using bitcoin. In terms of scamming, I guess it should be the user and investors themselves to identify a scam. Either way, there are a lot of people that are sharing sites about it. Another thing is that there are forums where you can check the legitimacy of a site you want to invest in.

I don't think bitcoin needed to add a safety feature. It is the user that needs to be careful against hacks and scams since they are the most vulnerable part of bitcoin.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yes, there is a strip club that accepts bitcoin. on: July 04, 2020, 12:16:08 PM
Very well I think it doesn't really matter what kind of businesses accepting bitcoin like this strip club maybe some users would say that having this payment method could somehow affect the image of bitcoin to some other people. But for it is a good idea to accept bitcoin in any kind of place so that a lot of places, people or even countries would continue to adopt the bitcoin technology. A lot of people already have a smartphone or even internet connection so somehow it might not be difficult for some people to adopt in this kind of technology eventually a lot of users is going to accept it.

Well, people are not really shocked about bitcoin being accepted in a stripclub, we are shocked at this since we did not know they did. I am from the Philippines but a bit too far from this place, still, even though 3 years had passed, I wanted to see that for myself though I think that is gone now but there might be some other clubs that let you accept bitcoin.

Maybe the OP can check out other clubs there too since they've might follow how this clubs accept bitcoin.

I only experienced on going to strip clubs once and never came back since im already a family guy now and theres no time to go into these kind of place  Grin

Its actually a good thing for bitcoin users that do regularly go into these kind of establishments yet they can make use of their coins without the needing of bringing
of their wallet with cash.

This thread is old but still worth to discuss on.

To be honest, I never thought bitcoin was used like this in the past since bitcoin and crypto currencies are not that popular here to start with. I hope people and platforms continue to accept bitcoin, the same as this strip club to also promote it. Though I am still wondering how to make it rain Satoshis
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Potential Valorant Esports betting sites on: July 03, 2020, 10:53:57 PM
They lessen the recoil of each gun, spots in some map is easier for a snipe user(Operator).

Its funny how theybname it operator, it is like a pun to the awp of CSGO that way it can still be called AWP or OP.

Anyways, it's a good game, gathering intel at first and then action. In the eSports side, I'm looking forward to the team TSM and T1, I watched their gameplays and it looks promising for them to win the championship. Might look into 'em if someone wants to bet on this game.

T1 is a good team with brax and ska in it but they can't defeat a full roster ex-pros CSGO players of TSM. Also, it is said that Wardell might be the face of Valorant, like simple of CSGO, or maybe Faker of LoL. I guess TSM is worth to be observed in their next matches. I also thought Team Liquid created a team with shroud, what happened with it?
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Potential Valorant Esports betting sites on: July 03, 2020, 09:48:52 PM
It will be added if it gets popular like CSGO but we've seen other games fail to rank due to variety of games already out there with the same type. I guess it will be tough to compete against core games that has been out there and manage to gain community and supporters. And depending on demand sports betting site cannot randomly add games without number of people requesting it.
Actually, it's very popular now, the same hype with CS:GO.

Riot is good at advertising their games through cinematics and it's very effective since many Asian people are now playing it. Most of the CS:GO players are from EU and some in NA, while Valorant dominated all of the regions and very popular in streaming platforms like Twitch. Some CS:GO ex-pros are now pro-player again in Valorant like Skadoodle who's a teammate of shroud during CS:GO days in C9.

Well, it is a new game and they really slammed CSGO since they released at the time that SG is still the meta and CSGO pros are so mad about it since teams are spamming this gun. As Valorant release was a success, CSGO nerfed the gun. A streamer said reaction to this is that, "now they will be doing that because of Valorant". Take note though, its been some time before they nerfed the SG.

Another thing is that it is an easier game than CS so people would actually dig this, for the moment.
Yes, I noticed that too.

It's much easier than CS:GO even they have complex mechanics by putting skills on the characters. It's not that really hard to 1-tap the enemy through headshot, you just need an IPS monitor and good mouse for fast reaction. So definitely, it'll be one of those eSports betting that will hit the market and people will like this game and bet on this.

I tried downloading this game last month and I can't really stop playing until now. As you said, you can easily one tap enemies right away especially if you are using the vandal or the phantom. Another thing is that most of the time you don't need to spray so if you are a new player, you don't need to memorize the spray quickly.

Every agents are fun to use but the thing here is that there are still bugs in the game that should be taken care of by the developers. That is important if they will be in the esports.

975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some college students in Alabama bet money to see who gets COVID19 first on: July 03, 2020, 02:34:44 PM
The article states that they are "student kids", does this mean they are in junior or senior high since that proves they are so immature to do this. Who's in the right mind to start this invites and make this a gambling session. This is just bad, this is so horrible. I feel so sorry for those parents worrying sick about their children now not knowing they get that in purpose.
976  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: July 02, 2020, 11:54:24 PM
Not possible life without bank because many people need to borrow money from the bank and make their business, not available for borrowing in bitcoin and altcoin and then not have institution available for every one could borrow bitcoin or altcoin, now day many country have several bank kinds and give good service for every one to save their money.
Yes its not possible for now because banks has a participation to our economy to boom. Its like a cycle giving and taking. So crypto and banks will co exist and that would be beneficial for us right? There's no need to get rid the banks because its essential part of our lives and economy.
Banks aren't that important for those persons which are only dealing in cryptocurrencies but if someone wants cash then they somehow always need a bank in the process. Also for the people who doesn't know about bitcoins and what cryptocurrencies are, they always need banks and are an essential part of their lives. There should be a way devised to remove the necessity of banks for selling and buying cryptocurrencies in general. If a project is developed to solve this problem then I bet the ICO will raise tremendous amount of funds.
Well, those who invested or dealing in cryptocurrency only will need banks soon. When BTC hits ATH, they will convert it now into fiat and where do you think they will put those huge money? Definitely in banks.

Bitcoin is treated and used not as a currency but mostly as a investment, an asset where you can earn in a short or long period of time. Even though it is decentralized, it doesn't mean that it will he the start to pull out the government financial ways. We are being given choices, options that we can use to our convinience, let's not think of it as something that will take down banks.
977  Economy / Economics / Re: Lives vs Economy -- sad truth on: July 02, 2020, 10:39:38 PM
This is really a sad truth health crisis really affect the economy one example of it is the corona virus, the economy really become affected because we need to stay at home so that the virus will not spread, it is really called life vs economy if we are going to go out and do work or job the economy will rise again but our life will be compromise the very best thing to do is to follow our government instruction and be safe.

Well, it is a pandemic and it is really inevitable. What we can do right now is to start having profit even if we are just in our houses. Although we can't all do that since there are those people who rely on other things which they can't go to because of the lockdown.

It is time for people to consider investing in stocks and crypto currencies because of the fact that stocks are just starting to heal.

I am more surprised that this is posted 3 years ago. Even though I read this, I don't think  I will be able to go there since I am still at my off-campus at that time and I don't have that much to tip ladies there to do me some lapdances.

Anyway, as the OP said, they are not accepting bitcoin now and I am not that surprised since right now, only a few people know what bitcoin and crypto currencies, how much more 3 years ago.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock Fight on: July 02, 2020, 11:31:11 AM
Well, it did not actually originate in the Philippines and I knew that from the thread that @mu_enrico said. It is forbidden right now but there is what we call "tupada" in our place and that is just a small meeting of people wanting to fight their roosters and bet to themselves. It is illegal so people are actually hiding so they can do some betting.
