981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 20, 2023, 12:20:28 PM
A tough pick when you are watching the game. It was a close game before the 4th quarter rally coming from the Heat. Pretty sure there are many gamblers who lose their bets today, as the outcome is really unexpected.
We can trust the Heat to not give up easily. They were down by a big margin at the end of the third quarter, but I saw an opportunity with odds of 3.00 for the Heat to win by 3 or more points in the fourth quarter, and they did just that. Not only did they win in the fourth quarter, but they also won the game.

Giving away the home court advantage not just one game but two games in a row, it's a big advantage now for Heat. If they can win one game at home, it will be a tough responsibility now for last year's conference champ.

Can't conclude it yet but the winning chance for those who pick Miami for these series got an upper hand now, if I remember it right the percentage
is less than 10% for Heat to win and advance to the NBA finals.

The Celtics have tried their best, but it appears they cannot dominate the Heat because everyone on the Heat roster exudes great confidence. As long as Jimmy contributes, it boosts the confidence of his teammates. Caleb Martin was particularly impressive in this game, as he made significant contributions in various aspects, especially in generating points. This was the key reason why the Heat secured another road team win. It's worth noting that Caleb Martin is an undrafted player as well.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 20, 2023, 11:43:48 AM
The problem with Celtics is  they are now visiting on Heat's home which give huge advantage to Miami to get extra momentum. Maybe for past couple of losses which they encounter they should adjust according to their plays set since if they let Butler and Adebayo to dominate again maybe they will be sweep by them. This will be a huge shame to them knowing that ESPN predicted that they have 97% chance to win over Miami, but those guys prove that those analyst is so wrong.

They say that the Heat struggle at home, but they are so good on the road. Let's see if they can make this series interesting by winning Game 3, so Celtics fans will not lose hope in this team. If I recall correctly, they swept the Heat when they met before in the playoffs. Now it's time for the Heat to take their revenge.

As per the current betting odds, the odds for the Heat to win 4-0 are 4.40.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 19, 2023, 09:36:52 PM
Newly launched projects on the market are very risky so I always wait about 1 year or two before buying. However I always look at the usefulness of the coins, the team, and very often in which exchange they are listed.
Sometimes you never think and even waste your time for them monitoring their progress because many of them are already dead just a few weeks after launching. You'd be better to monitor the old projects that have been use-cased already and make a plan to invest in these coins are literally will give you a fortune.
AND must also consider some of these things,
 - popularity ( not just hype but also people see this project as it was been playing a big role like ETH and Polygon)
 - exchanges where it was listed ( top exchanges)
 - price ( growing)
984  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 19, 2023, 12:55:51 PM

Our identity is the most vulnerable when we do this. AFAIK, credit card transactions requires OTP or PIN codes to complete the transaction. *Please correct me if I'm wrong with this.

I think the process is the same with debit cards. When I'm using a debit card, the only information needed for an online transaction is the card number, validity date, and CV number. So if it's the same with online gambling sites, it's easy for your information to be used by others even without your permission. It's too risky.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 19, 2023, 11:46:08 AM
Very Typical for an NBA team to underestimate its opponent especially since the Miami Heat is in the 8th Seed and it is likely a bad idea for them to think that way, well Jimmy Butler has proven numerous times that you shouldn't underestimate him when he likely plays ball this is an official All-star level and the team of the Miami Heat is superb in providing with the needed spread to catch up those gaps, while the Celtics doesn't have much players to respond and counter the Miami Heat, or it could be a miscalculation of their coach, in giving Tatum a late game time,

Why aren't the Lakers underestimated despite finishing 7th in the regular season? I believe people tend to perceive a team as good when they have a lot of superstars. However, the Miami Heat, despite not having what many consider a traditional superstar, should not be underestimated. Although Jimmy Butler may not be widely recognized as a superstar, he is an underrated player who has proven his worth.

While being a starter in the All-Star event is often used as a measure of superstar status, Butler's contributions and leadership cannot be overlooked. He has carried his team to the conference finals and has already helped his team secure a victory on the road.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 18, 2023, 12:50:34 PM
Damn! I am sure Jimmy Butler burned a lot of bettors' money in today's game 1 with Boston. Jimmy Butler looks good in a regular season game but is excellent when it comes to the playoffs where it matters most. And Miami Heat despite a roster with only 1 superstar and less support compared to the other top teams are always a dark horse when it comes to the playoffs. It's a good thing I did not bet against Jimmy and will just watch their games. I still think Boston is the favorite to win the series, they're just too well-rounded and deep.

It's been years now that Miami Heat despite its roster continues to over-perform. I wonder when is the time the management becomes serious in bringing help to Jimmy. Jokic got his reinforcements this season, hopefully, Jimmy gets his next season.

Jimmy got the best backup that he needs. We are seeing how his teammates play the way he wanted.

I see how Bam and the rest of the squad support every play Jimmy wants. Look at all of them. They are all ready when Jimmy attacks
they know that there's a chance that the ball will land on their hands.

They are ready to take it and what is good from them. They are confident and not afraid to take the shot, and adding to that, they are
all fighting for offensive rebounds.

The Heat continue to be seen as the underdog, despite their impressive performance in game 1. Currently, they possess an underrated roster that has the potential to return to the NBA Finals. In their previous NBA Finals appearance during the bubble, they lacked veteran support, but now they have players like Lowry, Kevin Love, and even Zeller, who contributes well to make the job of Butler and Adebayo's job easy.

The Heat's performance has been consistently strong, so we can expect them to bring the same level of effort in game 2 as they did in game 1. The Celtics will need to step up their game and make improvements in order to level the series.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another side of Sports betting you may not know about on: May 18, 2023, 12:19:32 PM
Sports betting affects the game,  and anything that affects the game, affects both ways, both positively and Negatively.
Sports Gambling can be regulated, instead of out rightly banning it.
It affects the game when players of that particular sport also gambling. Players, owners of clubs, coaches, technical crew and every other people involve in a particular sports should not gamble in that particular sport. This way, they wont have any ulterior motive to affect the game.
In soccer there are strict penalties for involving in gambling as a player.
There may still be match fixing and all but it is very reduced to the lowest part of the spot where there is no much scrutiny.

What you've mentioned are likely existing rules in certain leagues. Players and coaches should not be allowed to gamble on their own games because it would raise suspicions among fans that they might be involved in manipulating game outcomes. Considering the enormous size of the sports betting industry, which is worth billions of dollars, there is a risk that a player could place a large bet against themselves or their team and deliberately lose in order to make easy money without being detected. Such actions would greatly undermine the credibility of the league as a whole, and that's something we definitely want to avoid.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 17, 2023, 02:42:23 AM
The Lakers are making a run in the fourth quarter, reducing the lead from as high as 20 points to just 9 points. I believe the Nuggets need to bring Jokic back onto the floor, as their offense becomes quite predictable without him. With plenty of time remaining in the fourth quarter, it's difficult to determine which team will come out on top. As they say, it's not over until it's over.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 17, 2023, 12:59:58 AM
And they have like a grand arrivals, MGM Grand.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkx_kBZobqE

Both look great, so we should be expecting a close fight, lots of fans in attendance. Good interview and overall good marketing ploy for Top Rank and maybe they still want to attract as much as casual boxing fans to bring in the money this weekend.

So for sure, everyone is excited, I haven't put my bet yet, but a Loma bet is surely very attractive ML or by decision win or by knockout or technical knockout.

Well, we can't blame people for getting excited because this is a big fight. I agree that the odds of Loma are very attractive, so I'm sure some fans will be placing significant bets on him. This could potentially be Loma's last fight if he were to lose, but nothing is certain. Loma has been dominant in the past, but he is not getting any younger. Going up against a young champion who holds most of the advantages, it's clear that the majority of fans will be cheering for his opponent.
990  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 15, 2023, 01:27:14 PM
...
It's still going to hurt when you lose, but at least you're ready and prepared for the consequences.
It is because we expect profit from our investment, not losses. Even though it was just spare money, it still had value and we work hard for it.
In my mind, even if it was just my spare money, I would still look it was very important to me and I have to work for my investment in order to succeed and not just be okay to lose them all.

Though it was recommended by most but I have to challenge beginners not to let it go so easily that is why we should have to look for good coins to invest in order to have some profit assurance. Besides, this will even boost our courage and motivate us.

991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 15, 2023, 12:42:23 PM

So in gambling, make sure you know why you are doing it and the purpose of it, and are you doing it for the long run?
For the purpose of entertainment, gamblers surely stick to their limits and self-control. But if they consider gambling as their source of income, no way that they will follow our advice. Instead, they even spend more and gamble more without thinking about the mental and financial effects on themselves.
I agree that only a few gamblers will take their time to listen to advice but rather expect the majority to ignore us and do what they think is right (even though it was totally wrong).
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: May 15, 2023, 09:45:08 AM
I honestly experienced this myself alone. I decided to hodl one of my altcoins when it made like 10x. It is currently dead coin. My profits were very very low compared to initial investment. Melt through holding. I suggest people to invest and hodl only the greatest coins. I count great altcoins like Ethereum or BNB. But with other altcoins, its far better to trade instead of investing and waiting. Result would be making profit quicks with diminishing risks.
I was been doing this before during ICO/IEO time. I was new in the crypto space at that time and had fewer experiences but I thought that investing in them are great and I buy cheap coins thinking I could earn more in the future. But to notice that till today, it remains at $0 and is not listed in the market anymore.

That I would say that price really didn't matter in investing in crypto but must consider the potentiality of the project as this is how we measure the future of our investment.
993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: May 15, 2023, 08:57:28 AM
When it comes to the level of risk, Futures Trading is quite high which is why it was recommended for newbies to just start spot trading. Well, we have to consider this as a sort of familiarization with how trading works. Because as we begin trading, it was not we look on the trading features and big profit but what we are looking for is how to adjust/adapt ourselves to it.

Well, I tell you that OP the majority of the traders are preferred spot trading. In fact, they already have long trading experience but still, they remain on spot trading because they feel comfortable with this and it was a very important thing to consider as well.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: May 14, 2023, 02:05:45 PM
It's already too late. When you start hearing the "news", then you should know that you are already late. It is when people will start dumping their tokens. But why invest in a shit meme coin and risk all your money? Yeah, there is a chance it might go up more, but it won't go up like it did before or it would end up dominating the whole crypto market. Chances are it might get dumped. And I read somewhere that PEPE developers can "freeze" wallets whenever they want. You don't want to be investing in such coins..
Regret is what is meant to happen to these late investors. I don't see anything that would value these meme coins, especially this project PEPE coin, after the hype and it was over.
I encourage newbies to just look at the potential of the project, not just focused on the price or on the influencers as they will trap you and rip you out.
In fact, there are a lot of projects in the market which are at least safe and potentially profitable, not this project that just builds with hype.
Invest with caution as this is the only way it helps us to save from terrible losses.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 14, 2023, 01:06:46 PM
Gambling is a phenomenon in our lives. It is a phenomenon as old as human history. In ancient times, people gambled by making dice from animal bones in cave cavities. The technological advances we have today make it easier for us to gamble. It's not hard to predict that the market will grow as gambling becomes easier. Companies that develop new applications and interesting new games will get what they deserve from this market. I have no doubt that statistics in this sector will always get better. Because all conditions are favorable for this to happen.
Ancient people considered gambling as a meeting event and it continue to influence young people. As we can see, it keeps on growing and spreading across the globe but too unfortunate that nowadays, the majority of gamblers considered this as another source of income, not for pleasure and entertainment anymore. While these casinos see the massive growth of gamblers, they also see the opportunity to earn more profit. And they build and create gambling sites (offline/online) to provide satisfaction to these gamblers and become rich while these gamblers waste their money.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some points that can make the airdrop hunters safe! on: May 14, 2023, 11:09:26 AM
To revoke smart contract, you can use https://app.unrekt.net/ too.

3 Minute Tips: How to Revoke Token Approval Following Opensea’s Latest Security Episode.

If you are bounty hunter and usually interact with new projects, new smart contracts, you must use wallets that are used for bounty tasks only. Don't use your main wallets that are used to store your main capital.

Revoke smart contract only reduce risk to lose money to scam smart contract. You will reduce it more by not using your main wallets.
There should be a separate wallet address for airdrop as possible, not just to become safe but also it helps us easily recognize free coins that have value.

However, what I see is that most of these airdrop hunters don't take this seriously. Honestly, we can't change their behavior as these people certainly don't see the potential risk but what they see is the potential to earn money. Not to wonder why scammers keep increasing as they still notice that many innocent people are still in the market as well.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: May 14, 2023, 10:37:06 AM

Ethereum is the best altcoin investing, ever dropped under $1,000 and right now success reached back almost $2,000 last day and consistency move up to higher price than Litecoin difficult up above $200.
We already know the potentiality of ETH but seems we need to look for another option as well, like Polygon, BNB, and Matic. They are not really as good as ETH but I see them performing well this time. We need to look for projects that have strong market support and of course, a project that has a use case.

As we looked forward to the upcoming halving, we are expected and a price increase by most altcoins. So we have to carefully choose coins for investment and must avoid hyped project if we aim for long-term holding.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 13, 2023, 09:55:32 PM
It should be that no politician should get involved with gambling be it as a gambler or as an operator or businessman that focuses on it. That goes against the rule of law that they're lawmakers and they can make laws favoring their business which is all about gambling that can give them even incentives instead of punishments. This should go with their principles and while there's really a big tax that comes from the gambling industry, let it be alone managed by those that have no political interest.
This absolutely tells us people that despite money rules and laws implemented by the authority, it can't be perfectly serves to everyone or fair to all, some leaders we're still able to twist it. This is not new, many of the illegalities happen the country is ruled by these big leaders, who dare to stop them? Not the implementing bodies but just their competitors and they are killing each other.

I can say that there is no way to stop them. They use their position and make use of it as their power to take advantage of others that is why even if it was illegal, it is still operating because nobody will be able to stop it and nobody is willing to sacrifice their lives.
999  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your most effective crypto trading strategies? on: May 13, 2023, 09:26:28 PM

This is literally buying low and selling high strategy. You know when they say it's easier said than done? It's somehow easy when you know there is a bull market so the solution is just to trade during the bull market. Using RSI and then identify the oversold and overbought lines of the price and the support and resistance. But make sure to stop when the bear market also begins.

Perhaps, it was an old strategy but still works effectively especially, if we are able to analyze the market trend so well in a particular project that we use to trade.

As for me, we don't need to have a lot of strategies in trading because that only confused us about which one is working, it is better to keep 1 at a time and see what is the result before moving to another one. And to tell everyone also that not all the time our strategy/ies works, it can also depend on the market situation and of course, the one who is using this.
1000  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: May 13, 2023, 01:15:20 PM
This possibly happens to those who invest in memes and hyped coins...
It is just about to realize that investing in crypto doesn't give us assurance that our money will be back into our pocket or multiply. I can really imagine those people who sell their assets (house and lot) for the sake of investing in crypto, we'd never know what is their situation now.

A reason why it was not advisable to put everything and focus on crypto investment alone as it was the best strategy to have a reliable investment and less risk.
