A very long time did not launch Sia. Wallet 0.3.3.3
Now it is not synchronized. I tried to export to 0.5.1, but requires a password. When you first start 0.3.3.3 wallet password is not specified. Where can I take it to access your coins?

Same thing happened to me, lost 3m coins which i paid for in BTC.

Nobody adressing this ?
3.3.3 is obsolete now if I am not mistaken

I wonder what ever happened to OCMINER creating a pool on Suprnova?

He is probably making to much on eth, and expanse to bother with it........  Roll Eyes  lol

Lets hope so! Still got more coins to play with  Wink

missed the recent pump, hopefully some good retrace soon Smiley

Sia is going over 20sats next month! Main releases are coming!
Now that's the spirit!  Wink

hmm earlier Smiley
Well,,,, it did get over 20 sat lol, I just cashed some in to cover mining. Not sure what is driving this pump.... will be surprised if it goes much higher, for now anyways.

Ready to reinvest if levels back down again.  Wink

I still believe Sia will be one of the best investment coins as well as a storage tool, and its still just getting started.... Watch out  Smiley

I am not sure to sell anything before 50 sats.
Well, I felt the same way but have watched this since it was listed. I felt now was a good time to move some coin as I feel when this pump is over it will drop back, maybe not to 3 or 4 sat like it was but it will come down, so plan to buy up more when I think we see that next floor again. Just a hunch anyways lol

Well I guess it's good to be happy. I bought a quite few millions at 12sats, but I'm in for the long run. I'm not a trader. I'd get burned.

I'd like to see where sia is at the end of the year. Sounds like a good concept. Storage for all those other blockchains that are dealing in contracts and decentralized apps seems like a good idea. The tech's not there at the moment but I think it will come.

if we look back how airbnb go viral in last few years, we can expect same thing in data storage. hope SIA will advance in this arena.
Seems that way. I like the fact that the devs are busy beavering away no matter what the price. Inspires confidence.

just wondering why so many dumping hands are cashing out right now.
IDK, but I am still holding the millions I mined the first day of launch lol, and then some I picked up while at 4  Grin no hurry to sell

Actually I think I will resume mining Sia for a while, just ordered 3 new PSU's ... fried a few along the way since  Sad

potential investor here  Wink

any news?

cloud storage working?
I don't think you can go wrong with getting involved with this project, or investing. I just regret not getting more coins when at 3. But that's just one side of a great concept, the coin itself. The storage system is in a class all its own.

in-cred-u-lous

Thanks for taking the time to map some of this all out. It really gives a good perspective on the coin,  Wink

I downloaded GPU sia miner. What do I have to paste in the bat file?

Last I mined it looked something like this  Wink

@echo off
setx GPU_DEVICE_ORDINAL ""
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

sia-gpu-miner.exe -I 24

Is a public IP required to be a host for files?

Yes, you are identified on the network by your IP and it should be static too. If you change your IP, uploaders won't be able to confirm file contracts later and you will not be paid for used storage. Alternatively, use DynDNS and announce your host with a domain name.

Taek mention on Slack recently this may change in the future.

can some one help me setup dynamic dns on my windows pc ? Cheesy

With my local ISP I had to call them and have them set a static IP address/port for the actual machine that would host. As in my case the ISP's router every 24 hours would reset all changes (if you could actually get into their box). Once done then The port stayed open. Keep in mind I had opened the ports on my personal router fine but that wasn't much help because it fed from their box so.... And it cost abut 10 bucks a month for static or Radius IP.

There has been so much garbage written in here the last 24-36 hours about this or that as to why btc is sliding suddenly, I come home and BTC back up to almost 390.00 lol  Grin

People are idiots... panic selling?  Grin  Grin  Grin
Don't you remember last year during first 6 months? Well, I do... there was 230-260$ price for 1 BTC, the same stories everytime... sell, buy, eat, sleep, fu*k, exchange...
WTF ?!
Price is 370$ which is very good in this moment! You think bitcoins will disappear?!!?

Let's think logic, my local bank in my country invested around 1 million $ in bitcoins last year. Do you think banks will allow for bitcoins to disappear?! There are bitcoins prepaid cards, there are ATM's all over the world, there are stores that are accepting bitcoins .. you really think it will suddenly be gone?

Also, it doesn't matter if you buy or sell, you send it to another wallet anyway, it never disappear no matter of what you have done... lol...

stop writing nonsense, bitcoins is 1st virtual currency in the world and will remain there
Agreed, bitcoin isn't going anywhere and 370.00 sure is a hell of a lot better still than 230.00 a couple of months ago.
1435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2016, 03:23:36 AM
At least the freefall in price has stopped and leveled back a bit. Everything's going to be fine.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin "Classic"! What a stupid name. Logically there's nothing really classic about it. They should have spent a little more time thinking up a proper name at least.

It's called Classic because it is was inspired by Satoshi's scaling solution. And is in keeping with his vision for a Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.

Sounds good to me, glad we have closure on the name now lol

I don't think its going to be a hard crash. I think are many seeing it as a good time to buy a little BTC. Not sure how much of this dip in price is really about Mike Hearn ( if any) anyways. I see more of it as a reaction with Cryptsy (and the bad press it always brings) and the stock market crashing today. Come  Monday make that Tuesday lol, Monday is a U.S holiday.....things will be back swinging upwards probably on all fronts...  Shocked

So. Markets fell about 2%, and BTC fell 15%? Sounds legit :-
Its a ratio thing  Wink

BTC the "longest running blockchain" has value. Its not going away over night. The chain hasn't really even been tapped in to. Just got to keep the miners happy. $$$$$
